The settlement went well. Settled immediately upon arrival in the Sea View room, although Garden View was ordered. I didn’t pay extra for this and didn’t even leave a tip (didn’t have small ones). The room is not new, but spacious, large hall, sofa, easy chairs, access to the lawn, although for me (I was alone) it was a bit much : )
The hotel area is good, clean, a lot of greenery, it's nice to walk, although in some places there were unpleasant smells (walked in the evening).
Food at a high level.
There are no complaints about the kitchen, sanitation or waiter service.
Special thanks to Ahmed, a friendly, diligent man.
First time in Egypt, so I can not compare with other Egyptian hotels, but according to the stories of friends from other hotels (though cheaper), mine was almost perfect.
Of the minuses, there is only one exit to the sea (not counting the pier), rather small and rocky. There is no access to the sea from the Royal private beach. The pool is shallow and cold (it was at the end of November), and there are a lot of children in the one with heating. Although later I found out that there is also a pool for adults a little higher.
It is also worth noting the contingent - there were mostly Russians and Ukrainians (I can’t say in what proportions, since I mostly heard Russian). Also, 5 percent are Europeans. In general, everything is adequate, I did not see any cries, rudeness or drunkenness. From some numbers sounded Russian. pop music in the evenings, but in the Royal department everything was calm.
Mostly the contingent is families with children, and pensioners, there were young couples. Therefore, if you are a bachelor, then this is hardly a good option (I don’t know how this is in other hotels).
In general, the impressions are positive, I recommend this hotel! If you want peace and quiet, I recommend Royal (if possible), otherwise, the usual one will also be good.
The welcome at check in was amazing.
It feels like welcomed guests. No need to stand at the reception desk.
In the chic lobby, having seated us on comfortable sofas and treated us to cool smoothies, the administrator brought questionnaires and gave out bracelets.
Everything! You could already go to breakfast.
Thanks for the early check in!
For three days you walk around the territory and discover all the delights of relaxation! Everything is very well thought out.
They chose because they wanted to go to low-rise houses.
The territory is like a botanical garden. It's just great to walk around and admire the grooming. Garden view rooms are pleasing to the eye. Attaching photo.
Tasty food. Really tasty. By the way, the coffee here is from vending machines and delicious.
A large number of fruits surprises: fresh dates, grapes, guava, pomegranates, apples, plums, pears, watermelon, melon.
And what a wonderful mango smoothie in the morning!
Excellent sea and entrance to the sea from the pontoon. Rescuers are friendly - do not whistle. The bottom relief does not create a current - you can swim far. Coral for 4, but a lot of fish and there were turtles and moray eels.
Good with easy breath mask.
In general, in Egypt, not the first or tenth time, and we "stuck" on this hotel. Some hedonism!
That's the first time, so it was a desire to come here again.
Not out of harm, but out of kindness of heart, we can recommend the hotel to pay attention to a few points:
1. Install cabanas on the beach and near the pool.
2. Meeting with the guide. Be led "to a fairy tale" that the meeting with the guide is "VERY MANDATORY"! Since he checks the covid certificates, registers for a return transfer and does some other Bedouin spells to make the rest a success.
Actually - "vparivanie" excursions. We must pay tribute, in Russian, our guide made an almost theatrical performance, describing the beauty of the Bedouin region and the endless possibilities of its inspection, of course, by an authorized host tour company.
In fact, from the formalities - only a completed questionnaire, and then, thanks to the guide, he filled it out himself. It is not clear why it was necessary to spend 2 hours of rest on "razvodilovo".
3. There are many beautiful black crows here, who seem to live even better than vacationers, and they loudly exchange opinions about this among themselves or share their joy with others. They especially like to do it in the early morning hours.
And most likely, due to a lack of understanding of the crow's speech, and its emotionality, this interrupts a sensitive morning sleep and really discourages.
A well-aimed Egyptian, even "small", or at worst, with "air", would get a permanent job here, and vacationers peaceful morning peace.
Pros: the territory is large, beautiful, green. The reef is beautiful, partially killed. Fish - a lot. Staff: with rare exceptions - smartly trained and perfectly selected!! ! The staff is the biggest plus of the hotel! Perhaps everything.
In order. The manager at the reception - keep in mind if you do not give him a tip - will not accommodate you in the room that you paid for (overpaying even the Royal from the standard), but much worse. Really.
We arrived, we were met - led to a separate royal zone. They served fresh juice. It was delicious : ). One met us, saw us off - the second, the third brought the juice, the fourth brushed the crumbs off the table, the fifth took the passports. I got confused in them: who to tip. Not given. Decided to look at the number, what will give.
But that they would manage to settle us not in the Royal, but in the usual building of Monte Carlo - I could not even imagine... In vain...
Tour operator, wow! You kind of get a commission on the amount. And, if a tourist buys not a standard room, but an improved one, the commissions are higher, respectively... So, personally, I will no longer buy an improved room through TO. And I will recommend this to my friends. What for? Having overpaid 200 bucks, I could get the same number, but for 20. Tips. On site ; )
In short, they put us in room 178. Voucher - Royal... ! Even on the hotel map, which is in any room, this building is marked as NOT Royal. Yes, there are different buildings. So pale - not even serious...
Well, or at least teach the manager at the reception how to lie well. And then, with each of his subsequent phrases, he exposes his own, the previous one... And I looked at him - honestly, as if at... an imbecile in short... He understood this, and - finished: “And in Royal there is the first and second line from the sea. Yes, here... And your TO knew about it. I think, okay : ), let him think that I can’t read, well, or the hotel’s website on the Internet is not able to find. But, again, ay, tour operator! You were made beautiful! In the eyes of a tourist! : )
Number. An example of inconvenience and discomfort. 50 squares. By description. But! In the bedroom, personally, I constantly stumbled upon something. The passage is narrow. 50 squares include: bathroom (from 3 rooms! ), bedroom, corridor, terrace, plus furniture, 2 huge beds, plus all partitions. The terrace is large, chic, the view is beautiful, but it is impossible to sit on it. Chairs are wooden. Striped. The boards are lacquered. The pillow from the bedroom does not help. After all, the back is also pieces of wood : ) Extras. pillow on the back - and you are slowly but surely moving down from this pedestal... : )
Bathroom. Spacious bathroom with washbasin and 2 tiny cages on the side. One is with a toilet/bidet, the other is with a shower. If you are used to standard bathrooms in high-rise buildings, it will be fine for you. Maybe. But, if your toilet is more than 2 squares, it will be hard to fit : ) Especially in the shower to wash. In the elbows / shoulders presses: ) To the numbers. Toilet + bidet - approximately 0.8m (width) * 2m length. The shower is also about 0.8m wide. Each of these "rooms" has glass doors that open outwards. The lock is Velcro. Very weak over time. And the door to this one-piece bathroom from the corridor opens inward. Accordingly, every time it’s just scary to open the door: what if the inner one opens slightly? So as not to break it down... Each opening of the door - with a sinking heart....
Yes, and do not think that in the Royal buildings there are other furniture and other rooms. The same... I watched. Differences begin already with cosmic sums…. As for Egypt…. And - with the same bathrooms of the chamber type.
Bedroom. There is a plus, by the way! Bed! More precisely, the mattress is awesome! Very soft! I bought this mattress. The beds are wide, comfortable: even along, even across sleep. The pillows are soft and plentiful.
Corps and territory. The layout of the buildings on the territory is also not thought out and terribly uncomfortable. The territory is large, but the buildings are stuck so tightly that the windows overlook either the neighboring wall about 5 meters away, or the neighboring roof, and a piece of the sea is visible through the crack between the roofs... But it is called loudly: a room with a sea view....: ) Or the windows go straight to the terrace on the pool with vacationers, music, noise, etc…. Schematically, if: the building is a small lawn - a narrow passage - sun loungers by the pool. Those. the distance from your terrace to the nearest sun lounger is 5 meters… Maybe someone will like it, but I like to go out on the balcony/terrace in what happened and smoke. Here, it won't work.
Other buildings - overlook the roof of the pool bar + constant smells of cooking - not an option for me either. The only type of buildings that interested me personally is the Imperio (building L), opposite the Royal Beach. But there prices are like in the Maldives. Does it make sense to go to Egypt at the prices of the Maldives? Better off to the Maldives! : )
And another fly in the ointment Royal. For example, in JollyVilleGolf - the layout of buildings on the territory: building - large lawn - path - large lawn - path - pool area. It was comfortable and convenient for me to stay there, and I regretted that I didn’t go to them, especially since their prices are almost 2 times lower than Royal. I just did not want to go the second year to the same hotel. In vain.
Royal concept.
Beach. Included separate - Royal. But there is a caveat: there is no access to the sea from it....: )) Access to the sea at the hotel is common, from a single pontoon. Yes, one pontoon for the entire hotel! When I asked: why - in the summer, in July, in Egypt, in a 40-degree heat, the beach is comfortable, but WITHOUT access to the sea? I was told - uuuuuu....We have soooo... with a guilty look : )
On the common beach there are 3 separate pavilions with sun loungers for Royal guests. The photo of the hotelier had curtains and lighting. But it was. Once. Now - the remnants of former luxury: only rings remained from the curtains, no lighting, sunbeds, and the gazebo itself - tired of time.
Other vacationers, non-Royal, can also relax in these pavilions, but for a fee. Something around 40 bucks. Expensive, not worth it, believe me. I don’t know how it is for anyone - but I personally would be uncomfortable (as a regular Monte Carlo vacationer): here - you can, there - you can’t, for a fee. Here you come to relax, and you - but here for no reason... but there - you can... but it’s better here, I want to come here - well then you can, but for the money....: ) In short, for myself, I concluded: more according to the improved concept in hotels ( and to hotels where there are such concepts) - I will not go.
Royal Lounge. Beautiful, tasty, superficially rich, but there is also a nuance. Yes, about the same comfort. Have you ever tried sitting in a soft, deep, comfortable chair, almost drowning in it - to have lunch... so that the first, second - third - fruits..... - and all this at a coffee table? Let it be beautiful? If you still don’t understand, try it somehow : ) Have fun, rate it : ) Knees on your ears, posture - folded into three deaths, also try to chew : )). But we went there because there were practically no people. We were more satisfied with that than in La Carte.
By the way from pluses here. The cook works in the Lounge, I didn’t ask him his name, but he is also the chef in the fish restaurant. So, for a tip - he will arrange an unforgettable show for you!!! ! I recommend!! ! Besides, it's delicious.
The only plus of the proposed Royal concept is the reaction of the staff to the bracelet: “oh…. Royal?!... ” and a look - almost with reverence : )) It's nice, but not for long - for a couple of seconds : ) Although someone like it... ; ) And another plus - included dinners in all restaurants. That's all... For myself, I did not find more pluses. But is it worth it to overpay money only for this - decide for yourself. In my opinion, it's cheaper if you really want to go to Monte Carlo - to go here without the Royal, and just pay in restaurants for dinner.
In summary, I do not recommend this hotel. 4 * put - only for the excellent staff!
The hotel area is very green - grass, trees, flowers - everything is fragrant and flowering. The staff takes good care of everything. Quarantine in the hotel is noticeable only by the presence of masks, gloves, disinfectants, temperature measurements. In terms of nutrition, this is not felt, because there are a lot of dishes and everything is very tasty, a huge selection of fruits. Large gym. We lived in room 240, large and very comfortable. I was pleased with the cleaner Ahmet (he is fluent in English and history) - he carefully cleaned, daily bouquets in the room, made figurines from towels. The sea is incredible, be sure to take a mask, the underwater world is very rich.
Animation at the hotel is present, you will not be bored.
If you have a choice between this hotel and another, I definitely advise you to choose this one. He's incredible. We will definitely return!
Royal Monte Carlo Sharm El Sheikh 5
12 days in November 2018.
Immediately promptly registered and processed documents in a separate Royal zone in the hotel lobby.
At the Royal restaurant we were fed with seafood. Even though it was a long way to dinner.
In the room, at our request, the curtains were replaced with clean ones,
otherwise there were no complaints.
They presented a bottle of wine and fruit dishes.
Fruit was brought to the room every day.
The sea and the weather did not disappoint.
In the evenings, dinner was each time in a new restaurant.
The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff is to be commended.
in the restaurant and on the beach (they brought whatever you want:
from champagne, wine to ice cream…).
The food is good, varied, lots of seafood.
In general, they were satisfied.
True, one very arrogant type in the face
guide from Anextour named Ahmed Atef
almost ruined our holiday.
Required to visit excursions.
Having received a clear refusal (were in Egypt many times already),
tried to take our passports!
Like, think about it, and tomorrow you will get your passports.
Only perseverance and determination on our part,
helped us pick up our documents.
He lied to us that visiting the sauna and jacuzzi is paid for us.
Before leaving, everyone received written information about the time of departure from the hotel and departure from the airport.
We were not told anything.
In the information about the departure on 18.11. 2018. Our names (out of number 247) were not on the list of those leaving.
To our questions, he made a claim:
Where is the vodka? Where is the chocolate? ...
We also heard Ahmed Atef say to his partner:
let them go with everyone on the bus!
Although the car to the airport was put on.
Ahmed Atef shame for the Royal Monte Carlo Sharm El Sheikh 5 hotel
Ahmed Atef is a disgrace to the Anextour tour operator!!!
Yes, many thanks to NOUR who works at the reception.
He speaks good Russian and always helped, including organizing a car to the airport.
Respect NOUR!
