My friend and I, also a doctor, lived in a distant building. We often used electric cars.
We occupied a spacious room with two rooms and a hallway. The room had everything as is customary in 5* hotels. Kettle of coffee, tea, etc.
Bed linen and towels are very clean. disposable toiletries were replenished every day.
The cleaning was perfect, for which we thank Ali and Mohamed.
Wi-Fi worked at any time of the day, also throughout the hotel.
The food is high quality, tasty and varied. Lots of fish and seafood. confectionery products are beyond praise.
We would like to express special gratitude to the manager
hotel to Mr. Hazem for his selfless, impeccable attitude towards us, vacationers.
I hope to come in the spring and then in the fall.
I recommend.
A separate story with the restaurant, which they have only one. Not only is the food very poor, monotonous and unappetizing in appearance (as for a 5 * hotel), but you still have to almost beg for it.
The chef puts everything on a piece, hoping that you will not ask for more. A very humiliating sight. With all this, the dishes are often empty and do not update the deco with food for a long time. Of the fruits, only chopped melon and a small basket with whole oranges, apples and guava, so you don’t immediately understand if this is for decoration or you can, again, ask. In a word, I have never seen such a savings mode. With drinks, it’s a real problem: coffee in bulk in the common fund, too diluted yuppies, some kind of alcohol was constantly running out. One day even the cola is finished. On the first day of arrival, only one bar was open! Gradually, by the end of the holiday, others opened up, in which something was not even there) The bartender of the bar on the beach could generally afford to disappear for an hour every day without substitution with an explanation of what he needed for lunch.
In general, a very dubious system All inc. Alcohol is strictly from 11:00, and between main meals, only pizza before and after dinner.
No second breakfast, no a la carte restaurant, no ice cream, nothing. The animation is also poor. If during the day the guys still somehow try to occupy the vacationers, then in the evening it’s complete boredom, as the animators are busy knocking out money for a disco, which will take place there on the territory of the hotel in another building and with drinks that are already included in our All inclusive, but all for $6 per person. So, go to bed at 21:00. In general, a hotel for those who are over 60, or even over 70.
It would seem that at least the sea should please here. But no. Strong wind every day, sometimes a green flag. Probably the most unfortunate location of the coral reef. There is no pier, the entry into the sea is sandy, but it is impossible to get to the main line of the reef, which runs along the entire Red Sea, because of the depth and distance. You can swim only on scattered pieces of the reef, which are gray and very poor in marine life. The hotel is surrounded by desert.
Shops only on site, everything is much more expensive than in Sharm or Hurghada. There is no pharmacy at all, you can order from the seller of the store, in a day or two he will bring you what you need at exorbitant prices.
Tours are also at crazy prices, starting at $ 40, and get ready that it can still be canceled due to a lack of people. And during the mango season, you can buy it here (exclusively at the bar) from $ 3 per item. This is how an unsuccessful acquaintance with the mysterious region of Marsa Alam happened.
Let's get back to the food, in the following days it got better: breakfasts are standard, like everywhere else, for lunch there was chicken and fish, in the evenings grilled and fish, everything is delicious, but there is some kind of infection in food or drinks in the hotel. The first day everything was fine, and then the daily poor health and spending half the rest in the toilet. Diarrhea from day to day, daily severe heartburn, and this greatly affects the quality of rest, no peace. We took medicine with us for this case, but they did not help either. Two of my friends actually vomited on one of the days, we suffered from severe food poisoning all week, which lasted for all of us for several days after returning home.
The staff is friendly, the waiters are very kind and helpful.
There is no reef on the sea, as stated by the tour operator on the website. There is a huge piece of dead reef, from which pieces were torn off and floated like pieces of feces.
Every day there were high and low tides and the sea was dirty - pieces of reef and algae swam with us every day.
The room is large, spacious, but there is no network in the rooms, and in general it is difficult to catch the territory, we bought SIM cards so as not to depend on Wi-Fi, but it is almost impossible to find a place where the network catches.
The room had soap, a shower cap and EVERYTHING! Do not dream about shampoos and shower gel, coffee, tea and water (brought every day).
Excursions are much more expensive than in other regions of Egypt. Prices From 60€. Outside the hotel there is desert on the sides. Resting mostly Europeans. The territory is large and well-groomed. There are no shops and even PHARMACIES!
At the expense of the bar - they make different cocktails, pour as much as you want.
The rooms are cleaned every day, but the bed is all in spools, it feels like you are lying in the sand.
The beach towels were very stinky initially, they were replaced with less smelly ones, but still . .
We will never return to this hotel.
