1. Why did you choose this hotel and how did the check-in go?
Firstly, in the region around Bari and in Bari itself, the choice of hotels is not great. There are no sensible beaches near Bari, in Bari, it makes no sense to take September 4 on the beach, when there was no desire around sadness and devastation. Secondly, the option with apartments or B & B disappeared due to the fact that we had an eviction at night, and a check-in in the morning, it was inconvenient to negotiate with the owners, and this hotel turned up. Reviews on bourgeois sites were very worthy, although the hotel itself is 10 km from Bari, which is no longer convenient for a large number of people, especially for those without a car. Getting here by public transport is not convenient, very!
The reception is round the clock, the settlement is without problems, they know Italian / English.
2. What did you like about the hotel, on the territory of the hotel?
Super car. Parking is free, large, not far to go, the autobahn is free. All autobahns are free there, there are markets on the way to Bari. The hotel has almost no territory - only parking. The hotel itself is new, but located in a large residential complex, so nearby is not the territory of the hotel, but the courtyard of the house, the playground and the residents. Do not interfere! The hotel itself is on the outskirts of Valenzano, around only olive trees and that's it. Not much to do there.
3. Advantages and disadvantages of the number
The main advantage is the ratio of price and quality is the ratio of 10 out of 10. We took a 3-bed room for 66 euros / day for breakfast. Doubles for this period were 48 euros each. Parking is free, again. The hotel is new, the rooms are clean, bright, large. Cleaned daily, change towels daily, the room has a TV, minibar, hairdryer, shower, bidet, all sorts of gels / shampoos. The only downside is with Wi-Fi, it is excellent, but for access they issue checks with codes for 12 hours at the reception and there were difficulties with connecting several devices. My husband has a bunch of different tricky gadgets - there are 5 of them and they are all needed, and there are three people living in the room. Type is not supposed to be more than 3 checks on our number. Well, sorted it out later. Although this system is still inconvenient, access ends at night and stomp down for a new check.
4. What about food, service?
The breakfast is sensible - just enough and tasty. There are cuts of cheese, meat, hot sandwiches, buns, cakes, cereals, various drinks. But there were no vegetables and fruits. This is a minus.
Service is excellent.
5. What didn't you like?
Ambush with checks for wifi
Due to the repair of the roads in Valenzano, it was with great difficulty that the JPS found his way to the hotel all the time, and in the city it is one-way traffic everywhere. By the time you arrive, you’ll shake a couple of circles around Valenzano. Well, it's just that the map has not been updated for a year ; -)
I also want to recommend this hotel as a "base" for outings in the area - very convenient.
In the review about the hotel, I also added photos of some of the towns we visited. There is no photo of the city of Bari in the review - a lot has been written about it even without me, especially since we examined it very briefly. And also there is no great place in Puglia next to Bari is Alberobello. I wrote a separate story about this town, with a lot of photos. Alberobello is just amazing!
A few words about the visited towns:
1. Trani. Old, quiet and cozy town: typical mediterranean. Cheap. Both food and souvenirs (there are very few of them) are cool and inexpensive. In these parts, the siesta seems to be honored more than in other parts - until 13-00 you could not find a single place where you can eat, even fast food. What to eat there - everything is closed! The city has a beautiful promenade, there is also a nice park along the sea. We did not see the beaches, rocky shores, but you can approach the water. Cheap parking too. I really liked this city.
2. Polignano a mare. Known primarily for its beach in the bay. Really very beautiful. And the town is nice, and the beach. The beach is not equipped with anything, there is no shower, sun loungers, cabins, etc. Stone or as they like to say, large pebbles))) The photo shows. A visit to the town is a must. There were more sevens here than in Bari illi Monopoli, although the village!
3. Monopolies. Double feelings. Didn't like the city. I even do not know why. It seems to be old, and no worse than others, but it didn’t catch on. The old part of the city is deserted, there are almost no restaurants, shops. There are many ancient temples, and they are all beautiful, but somehow lifeless. But in the new part, people are just darkness. Also here is the only city on this trip where we got stuck in traffic. Tiny, but still. Friday evening. An inconvenient city for cars, since it is all one-way traffic, the blocks are very short - two houses and because of this, a huge number of intersections. Well, cars with pedestrians. But not critical.
4. Beaches behind Monopoli. Just google it, there are hundreds of them. Sandy beaches among the rocks. Many of them are not big at all. Very beautiful. And the further south, the more beautiful. We visited 3-4 no further than 10-15 km from Monopoli. But we want to come here again.
5. Molfetta. Small town. So-so. There is something to see, but this is in any seaside Apulian town. If time is running out, you can not go. Nothing special. But still beautiful. Embankment, yachts, temples. . . Oh, yes. Behind Molfetta there is a well-known outlet-discounts are good, brands are different, many are not known to me (but I'm not very good at shopping). There are no shoes and bags (well, almost none). We stinted not bad.
