But we were not at a loss, and took off our bracelets ourselves (someone said that they had lost them, someone said that they had just taken them off), and we calmly used everything in the hotel until the evening. One more thing, there are a lot of local vacationers in this hotel and they come in large clans to relax (like our gypsies). If your room overlooks the pool, you'll be up until late at night listening to their kids scream. Regarding the restaurant: the food is monotonous every day, by the end of the second week I didn’t even want to eat anything. Wi-Fi in the hotel is paid - $4 until the end of the day (not for a day). But in the first building, on the flight of stairs near the elevator (on any floor), there is free Wi-Fi from a neighboring hotel, if you need to urgently write, you can write from there (our children ran there). If you decide to buy a local Internet connection at the airport, then don’t buy Orange. We bought a SIM card with 69 gigs, they ran out on the 6th day. If you have a choice, choose another hotel!! !
Of the alcoholic beverages that are included, you can only drink beer. There is better alcohol, but for the money. You can also buy local alcohol in bottles of acceptable quality on your own in specialized stores (there are 2 in El Gouna) or even order with delivery. But if you love good wine, then you can’t buy it for any money)
Many people come with children. For them, there is a children's club on the territory in which a girl from Ukraine works, there are swings, carousels, a couple of children's pools, a children's water park, and children's animation in the evening. True, the equipment that voices all this is simply disgusting. Even the food in the restaurant doesn't sound as disgusting as the sound quality coming out of those speakers.
The sea near the hotel is shallow, the bottom is rocky with sand, there are no corals.
Of the advantages of the hotel compared to others, I would note ...except perhaps the proximity to the kite station.
Otherwise - everything is very mediocre and everything that is written in other reviews is mostly true.
By the way, there is a SPA on the territory of the hotel. It is quite possible to visit, but bargain. The minimum price they agree to is $20. It includes a massage for 45 minutes and a sauna with a hammam and a swimming pool - quite normal for the money.
There is also a bar with freshly squeezed juices - also worth taking, but not for $ 2 per glass as they offer. The normal price for which they are willing to sell is $ 1. Usually they say pay immediately for 10, then it will be a dollar. Do not agree - most likely deceived. Pay as a matter of fact.
If you have not been to Egypt, then keep in mind that they will try to swindle you for money at every step, starting from the airport. Beware of taxi drivers who offer to bring "inexpensive". Use Uber-Egypt or InDriver. Try to have small bills with you - they don't like to give change.
On arrival, be sure to buy a SIM card from a local operator, because.
Internet in the hotel is both expensive and bad. Best accepted by Vodafone, but it can suddenly just stop working. More reliable - WE. And by the way, with Gigabytes you will also be deceived - there will be 2 times less real ones than they advertise))))
We were from October 5.2022 to October 12.2022. There were winds.
If you are with a child and he loves the water park, then you are here. If you don't have kids, I don't recommend it.
2.
3. Pools say that they are heated, but in fact heat it as not the promised 20 degrees does not even have a maximum of probably 10-12 and that is not a fact can be lower.
4.
Guides are just awful compost brains 4 hours lure at least some money, say something for respect, and the type will help, but in fact nifiga not help but just throw whatever you want to spit on their face, join up it applies to you! ! ! !!
5. The hotel does not pull on 5 not even the fact that on 4 pull
6. Of the pros here is very good food and very good waiters and bartenders and the receptionist is black and a woman and a bald cheeky face.
7. Of the pros on the territory of a purely nanny is a bad water park and not bad pools, but there is no heating for the hike ...as indicated.
Rested with my husband and child (2.7).
We arrived early in the morning, we were brought to the hotel at about 7 am, we were told to check in at 14:00, the bracelets were at 10 am, that is, they said we didn’t get breakfast, only on a paid basis, we had to pay $ 34 to check in at 7 am ( the child is small, screaming, wants to sleep, hungry), so we paid for the room, we didn’t feed it, it’s good that we had baby purees and cookies with us, the bracelets were given out only at 10 in the morning, check how you put on the bracelet, since I don’t I checked it and on the same day it flew off somewhere, in this case, prepare $ 10!
In general, everywhere in the hotel they demand money from you, all the staff from the reception to cleaning the room impudently come up and say give me a dollar, I have not seen such impudence anywhere, not for the first time in Egypt.
Animation no, from the word at all!
The food is the same every day, the a la carte menu in restaurants is the same as in Swedish, tasteless, the child did not want to eat there at all, my husband had food poisoning.
In winter, one heated pool, the rest are all ice pools, as well as the water park, they didn’t even dare to go for a ride, in the children’s pool 20 cm of water is also ice water, it doesn’t warm up, it was cold in the morning and evening dubak, they wore jackets, but from 11 -15 days in the sun is good, you can warm up.
Number: in it the audibility is terrible, on the one hand, the construction site on the other, the music that constantly yells!
There is mold in the bathroom;
They gave two bottles of water 0.5, the child apparently does not drink water, at the bar to take a bottle of water $ 1.
In the canteen the plates are all beaten, the towels are worn out.
In general, on the third day we already wanted to go home.
I don’t remember everything now, I just want to forget such a vacation!
The hotel pulls a maximum of 3 *.
2. Reception / check in - horror, the problem with the number was solved for 3.5 hours and frayed all the nerves!
3. Basically a family hotel, there are not many young people.
4. I would say the food is good, but for Egypt, the average is probably.
5. The sea (pier, etc. ) is fine. Lots of umbrellas.
6. Pools and water park without heating, was in January, it was cold. The water park itself is good.
7. Location on 2/5, outskirts of the city. But close to El-guna (village) as an excursion.
8. Animation of the disco - very good. weakly. Territory is good.
1. Sea. It is practically non-existent. That is, it is good for families with small children, 500 meters from the beach is shallow, for an adult in the middle of the lower leg. But the bottom itself is not so hot: small corals, a little further away the sea is still shallow, the corals are already large, barefoot is not very pleasant. Deeper entry from the pontoon, there are two options. Someone is constantly hanging on the stairs: either they haven’t decided to enter the sea yet, or they can’t get out. In short, pontoons are not my passion) There is no reef as such, there is only a dead parody of it, so do not load your suitcase with masks, they will obviously be superfluous here. In general, the sea does not please
2. Territory. Big, beautiful and well maintained. At night, there are lights everywhere, lanterns are on, big balls are all over the place. Constantly something is being painted, repaired, rowed, trimmed. There are no questions here
3. Pools. There are a lot of them, about 5, I didn’t count exactly, but they are icy! The heating was turned on only once per week of stay
4. Nutrition. There is a lot of food, but it is always the same, variety does not please For breakfast for scrambled eggs, get ready to stand for 20-30 minutes, and this is at best. There are very few vegetables, chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage quickly ends. Fruits also do not please with variety: every day green melon, oranges and dates in different variations, a couple of times there was guava, sometimes pomegranate. There are three a la carte restaurants. Were in two: Chinese and fish. Chinese offers two dishes to choose from, there is not even a fish menu, what they bring is what you eat (dumb soup, rice and two small dry fish). Queues to restaurants like on the last day. Although for my taste, the food in the daily restaurant is much better.
5. Staff. To be honest, I was surprised. This has not yet seen, although not the first time in Egypt. Everyone is gloomy, dissatisfied, no one smiles, they answer your greeting every other time. As if not in Egypt)
6. Cleaning. Every day they left a dollar, but for the last two days they didn’t even make the simplest swans out of towels. The only thing was that I put 3 bottles of water instead of 2. I just made the bed and folded the towels
7. Animation. animators can most often be found in the dining room) entertainment is standard and focused on the beach: volleyball, yoga, darts, aqua aerobics, in the evening at 21.00 for half an hour a children's disco and an hour program for adults. There are 5 animators, but they are somehow imperceptible
8. Number. The rooms are large, we had a standard one, two beds, a separate area with a sofa and a TV, a standard balcony.
The location is bad, from Hurghada by taxi 8-10 dollars. Near the hotel there are some shops and a pharmacy, but the prices are very high, no one wants to bargain, they say frankly: to go to Hurghada, but we are there. For comparison, a snorkeling mask in a hotel is 16-20 dollars, in the city they bought for 12, kalamil in a local pharmacy 3, in the city 1 dollar
Conclusion: if you are looking for a relaxing holiday near the sea or the pool, in the evening a walk and an early sleep, then this hotel is for you. Although if you go with your big company - it's also suitable.
1. The staff is terrible, especially at the reception. We arrived early, at 6 am we were at the hotel. The bracelets and the number were not given for obvious reasons, that's okay. But water even at the bar and something to eat for children is strictly prohibited. And this is in a hot country, where they could give water. Even for extra money nothing can be solved.
2. It is impossible to take out fruit, not even talking about food, outside the restaurant, there are guards and they drive you back. Even in a paper cup, it is not allowed to take a few dates or an orange.
3. Mosquitoes are a separate horror. They even fly in swarms in the lobby, near the reception desk. In the room, on the street, everywhere. They slept with a fumigator, before that they beat me before going to bed. Sprayed regularly, in the evenings.
4. Beach towels cannot be replaced, only when you start to blunt them in English and assure that there is such an option - they give up.
5. There are no corals, although the site indicates that there is. There are no fish at all.
Most likely he was, this is evidenced by the tablets in the sea, but he probably died.
6. Meals are more like Full Board than All Inclusive. From 10-13.15-19 you can not eat. We arrived in the morning at 6 am, walked without water and food until 13:00.
7. Numbers killed, although I officially bought Family.
8. They cheat everywhere. Until you start fighting for your rights. People who are the first time most likely will not feel well.
Pros:
1. Food is good, varied. You won't be hungry.
2. The A la Carte restaurant pleased me, especially the waiter, who speaks only English. He, in turn, was pleasantly surprised that we are from Ukraine and communicate with him so easily. Not typical for Egypt.
3. Water park. Everything is good here. If he doesn't, the hotel can be closed.
- the hotel is "Zhlobsky", the attitude towards tourists is completely not loyal, they do not make concessions, even though they were with children, they make comments everywhere - don't go there, don't stand there, don't take it. There was an early arrival, the bracelets were put on at 10, until 10 they didn’t eat, they didn’t even give water, they tried to get water at the bar themselves - the waiters drive! The presence of a bracelet at 10 did not save us - since until 13 you will not be able to eat anywhere, only drinks;
- old rooms, old furniture, dirty walls and curtains, there is cleaning, but only superficially, there is a constant unpleasant smell of dampness in the toilet, there was no shower switch - contacted the reception, provided an "engineer" who "fixed" - put the switch on the toilet paper!!!
- a clothes dryer - a stretched rope in the shower;
- the rest of the hotel's infrastructure is also very worn out and in need of repair;
- there is no reef, respectively, there are no fish either, there is nothing to look at in the sea;
- this is not a hotel problem, but keep in mind: there are a lot of mosquitoes, they poison, but it doesn’t help, so stock up on fumigators and mosquito repellents;
- wi-fi - took the Etisalat card at the airport, catches only near the water park and on the beach. In the hotel itself, wi-fi is paid, but it is also of poor quality - it practically does not catch anywhere;
- the room must be rented before 12, the bracelets are immediately cut off from you, without bracelets you, of course, cannot eat or use the water park;
- during the stay there were 2 birthdays - the hotel does not provide any options on the occasion of the birthday, even after clarification at the reception and with the guide;
- the guide does not help in solving a single issue, his main goal is to make excursions and make money on you, then he is not interested in you;
- take rooms overlooking the pool, otherwise the view from the window will disappoint you - on one side there is a fence and a wall of a neighboring hotel, on the other - a desert with a construction site. We paid extra on the spot officially by check (otherwise we just didn’t want to negotiate) 28 c. u.
From the pros:
- food is normal, no frills, but you will not stay hungry;
- the water park stretches the entire hotel;
- many pools, they are cleaned regularly, but the water in November is cool, does not have time to warm up;
- the territory is green, well-groomed, cleaned daily;
- a good fish a-la-cart, we haven't been to others;
- there are shops and a pharmacy near the hotel, but the prices are higher than in Hurghada itself.
