But from the first day of check-in, we started having problems with the room.
The washbasin is clogged, in the shower the water is almost bone-deep and flies out of the cabin, the towels, although clean, do not smell very good, the bed is the same as it seems to be about 30 years old. But the towels were changed for us already on the last day of rest, but the bed was never changed. The washbasin was fixed when the video was shown on the reception)
Next, our lock broke, it had an alarm system and it squeaked every 5 minutes all night, annoying all the neighbors. On the first night, someone just ran into our room when we were already sleeping !! ! Ran out, no one! The castle was closed, and it is not known how an outsider managed to enter the room. We filmed again a video with the lock breaking, showed it at the reception, came in a couple of days to fix it, but it still didn’t work properly, thanks at least I didn’t yell at night!
We waited for our room to be cleaned, but no one was there! I had to wash the floors in the room myself, using a towel-shower mat, it was already floating from the constantly pouring water from the shower when we washed.
I wiped the dust with wet wipes) I can’t sleep in a dirty room, so I cleaned it myself (
at night, going to the toilet, I killed three Prussians !! ! It's scary to bring them home!
Take a rope and clothespins with you, you can somehow tie them there to dry towels, bathing accessories and things. In the room, as in the reviews, they did not bring shower gel and soap! I took it all with me. They brought only toilet paper every day.
It’s not long to go to the nearest beach, about 10 minutes, but when it’s hot, it becomes tiring. And the famous Nissi Beach is even farther away! Do not believe that it will take 15 minutes to go) In the heat and the sun for 30-40 minutes, this is of course horror. The beach itself is very beautiful, it becomes full of people by 9 o'clock in the morning, so you will not find a sunbed and an umbrella at such a time. Need to run there after breakfast! umbrella, sunbeds are paid everywhere, 2.50 euros for a sunbed and the same price for an umbrella, this is for the whole day. Beach towels are not provided at the hotel, so you need to take either with you or buy on the spot, the price of 5 euros is one of the cheapest.
We took a ticket to Fedrania with breakfast so that every day we could eat in different establishments, since Cyprus is famous for its delicious and varied food and seafood. Breakfast at the hotel is now NOT a buffet! From the menu, you can choose from 4 (sort of) breakfast options, one, only one drink, they won’t give you more) Or for a fee already. There is a children's menu. Every day the same menu. Good thing we were there for a week. Probably the cost of quarantine
The territory of the hotel is beautiful, but there is no hand of the owner, everything is somehow under-repaired, unfinished and not cleaned up. The pool was only cleaned every day. Pools for twos are decent, large. There was WI-FI in the room, the safe was paid, they didn’t bring water, they bought a package in the store.
If I went again, I would not stop here, this is the first time I did not like the hotel, although the situations were different in travel. Here, everything was originally not the same (
There is a safe, but we didn't use it.
The territory is small, but everything is compactly located. Good pools, there are children's, jacuzzis. All as in the photo of the hotel. Lots of young people, but also couples.
To the sea walk 10 minutes. Convenient path along the coast, promenade to Nissi Beach 15 min.
Lots of markets, cafes and restaurants.
The food is great, no buffet. Menu only. Everything is delicious, quickly endure there was always a choice of dishes. Children's menu.
English speaking staff.
Cons: There was no soap in the room, only shower gel. They explained what happened. Cleaning every 3 days.
Previously rested in Protaras, 4 * hotel.
Fedrania is not inferior, but even much better.
I recommend very much.
We had a Swim Up room, the exit was straight to the pool, where there were many sunbeds-mattresses (no one ever lay on ours, only we, although other residents can, according to the rules). The pool itself is clean, gives bleach, but not critical. We swam in the afternoon, when there were practically no people. Returning to the description about the room, they cleaned up all the same well. As a "human auditor" I did not find any shortcomings in this regard. Dirt, hair or any other traces were noticed. Air conditioning is free, the safe is paid (but we tried our luck and left valuables without a safe, so the security level was checked). Let's move on to food:
we had breakfast and dinner included, but dinner can be changed for lunch, which we did. Now I'll tell you why... So breakfast... every day it is the same, exactly the same! On the 6th day, he simply does not climb anymore. But in general, it is good: several types of meat, sausages, cheeses, boiled eggs, vegetables, fruits, cereals, jam. You can choose from one cold and hot drink (do not expect juice to be juice)). By the way, with regards to vegetables and fruits. Their quality is lame, we practically did not eat them. They don't look or taste like anything. The fruit salad didn't look washed, so I didn't risk it. But in this case, that's just my opinion. Maybe someone likes not washed))
For dinner, too, a buffet and it is again sausages, vegetables, french fries, fish in batter (half-cooked). We decided to try lunch and changed it on a regular basis after that. For lunch there is a menu to choose from. We took carbonara, pizza, pork on the bone with potatoes. We liked these dishes, but drunkenly eating them for 7 days is too much. Drinks at lunch for an additional fee. We didn't, it's expensive. The service is generally pleasant, there are Russian-speaking staff.
Let's go to the beaches! Once we went to the nearest beach and realized that it was not for us. And we realized this after we visited Nissi Beach - it's really a beautiful beach with clear turquoise water! Yes, it's crowded, but I think it's normal. By the way, the beach is marked with a blue flag (who does not know what it is, see Google). Walking to it from the hotel is long, hot and tiring (30 minutes one way), but it's worth it!
Finally, the biggest minus of the hotel: for 7 days no one cleaned the room, did not change the bedding and towels! At what we twice asked the girls who are engaged in cleaning (only Indians work), but they never waited for anyone. And for 7 days the room is far from clean, all the same, and the squeak from the beach and water, and so on. The sink drain worked very poorly and always clogged. In half a minute, the entire volume was filled, so washing there was problematic, but possible.
Pros of the hotel: clean, comfortable, nice pool, safe.
Cons of the hotel: far from the beach, for 7 days no one has ever cleaned or changed the bed / towels, the quality and monotony of the food, the plums in the washbasin do not work.
There is no seafood at all. They changed the bed only for the 6th day: (Everything is terrible. The manager is either Romanian or Gypsy.
He provokes a gypsy to a fight, says he will call the police and you were deported from the country and the hotel, threatens to cut your throat at night, I am shocked that such a poor man lives in such a beautiful country and serves people for their own money. All the other staff is really good! It is a pity that because of this surprise of the stupid who walks calling everyone (crazy) the staff has to understand.
I hope that this animal will still be released from the hotel, its place is a zoo.
The only plus is the sea
1. Clean. Room after renovation. With a balcony. Very decent. Cleaning was constant. Shampoo, soap brought after the request - upon arrival was not.
2. Meals took breakfast and dinner. Everything is the same, but you can eat. The choice is not large and every day almost everything is repeated. There were no fruits, you might say. In the morning every day muesli, milk, cheese, sausage, egg + tea, coffee. In the evening: French fries, chicken, fish, tomato, cucumber, rice, fish, chicken, beef, cake. Everything.
3. Beaches nearby and not alone. Nissi Beach went.
4. The center, if I may say so, is also nearby - a whole alley of shops and cafes. I heard about nightclubs, but never saw or heard about them. I think our hotel was still far from the noise of it.
5. What's next: shops, beach, swings.
Port next.
6. Sea: SUPER. Liked the most. Clean warm with clear water and white sand.
7. Entertainment: a lot, 7 days were not enough for us. Were in Protaras, on a pirate ship (the child loved it), Limassol, Larnaca, Cavo Greco, the Blue Lagoon. Rented a car. Expensive. $150 for 2 days, if taken on the spot and in the middle of the week. The beauty is in the mountains, but we did not have enough time to see them well. We didn't get to Mount Olympus. We only saw villages. Liked it very much. There are gardens of pomegranates, oranges, lemons. Great mountain views. Waterfalls. Reservoirs. Beautiful houses among this beauty. You can't tell, you have to see everything.
We really liked Cyprus and our granddaughter too. This country simply fascinated us, despite the unusual landscape. In Cyprus, as on "Mars... ", everything is in stones....but the sea is just SUPER. Lots of Russians, lots of cafes with Russian menus.
