The food is normal, the cuisine is oriental, delicious, but the tables are not bursting with variety. There is WI-FI in the rooms. There are no mosquitoes. Desert behind the hotel. From the airport 30 minutes. In a word - I recommend, a good economy option.

Traveled with my husband in July 2021. In principle, I liked it, but there are both pluses and minuses. Room - somewhere in the 6 out of 10. A little shabby. The furniture itself is ok. Room - somewhere in the 6 out of 10. A little shabby. The furniture itself is ok. There is some mold in the bathroom, the toilet bowl could have been better cleaned. From cosmetics, everything is according to the standard: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. Only 1 piece, even though there were two of us, and a double room. The wardrobe is a bit like a Soviet one. The room has a safe, which is nice. The room also has a terrace with chairs and a table. There is a mini-bar, filling is not included in the ol inclusive.
Service - 9 out of 10. Everyone is smiling, quite friendly, but somewhere in the middle of the rest, in recent days the smile is not so wide.
Cleanliness - 9 out of 10. The room is cleaned daily. In principle, it is normal, but the bathroom could have been cleaned more carefully.
Food - 5 out of 10, you can eat, but not very tasty. There is a +/- choice. More greasy and fried food, I would like more healthy and varied food. The fruit is rather weak - dates, bananas, melon, plums sometimes, watermelon a couple of times a week - and the quality is not strong.
Infrastructure - there is nothing in the close district. A very relaxing holiday.
Animation - 3 out of 10. Nothing really happens, at 22:30 everything ends. No disco, karaoke, etc. don't expect.
The sea is very shallow, if the tide is low, then the water is knee-deep, if the tide is waist-deep. You can see the reef from the pontoon. It's really beautiful there. There are plenty of sunbeds by the pool and by the sea.
In general, if you want to take a break from the urban pace of life and bustle, then you are here.

In Marsa Alam were 3 times in excellent hotels with a good snork. In the reviews about Concord, they bribed a beautiful house reef, a calm lagoon and, most importantly, a meeting with dolphins. We are fans of snorkeling, we have been to Egypt many times and fly only because of the underwater world.
The hotel is good, we fully agree with all the positive reviews. Food, service are excellent, yoga, Zumba we really liked. In the evenings we danced to live music. Many thanks to the singer Fares and greetings from Ukraine!
Huge minus - no heated pool. It would be very useful!
Now about the sad. We were terribly unlucky with the weather. The first 2 days were very cold, strong wind was blowing. On March 28, we even wore jackets all day long. But the most important thing is that no one wrote that there is an open sea here, it is stormy all the time. Near the pontoon, the water was so seething and there was such a current that it was impossible to enter the water. Yes, they didn't let me.
The lagoon, about which everyone wrote that you can swim here in any storm.
It had strong currents in different directions! On the third day, I went waist-deep to take a dip, lay down on the water and did a couple of strokes. In a second, I was swept into a whirlpool, where water was seething. I am a good swimmer, I am not afraid of water, but then I thought that I would drown. If it were not for the lifeline, which I clung to and barely held on to, he was thrown so hard, I don’t know what would have happened. I was pulled out by 2 lifeguards in flippers and masks. Moreover, they dragged me on a circle towards the open sea and then onto a pontoon. It was impossible to get to the shore because of the current.
The water in the sea is cloudy due to the wind, the photos are lousy. We did not see anything interesting and new on the reef. The reef is sloping, then the wall, to take a photo, you have to dive because of the constant wave, it's hard to do it.
The next 3 days the weather improved a little. But the water in the sea was still muddy. In the lagoon, ordinary fish, nothing interesting.
We took a taxi to Abu Dabab Bay. Visibility near the reef was poor, no photos. At least the turtles were removed.
On the 6th day, a very cold wind began again and the water became much colder. Who flies to Egypt because of the underwater world will understand us. We were just desperate. Probably, in March there are such miracles with the weather. I write in such detail that people are aware. After all, no one wrote about it. It seems to us that this place is always stormy.
We went to the bay of Marsa Murena. It's about 30 minutes to the left of the hotel (facing the sea) along the coast. A beautiful bay, from above you can see the passage into the sea between the corals. A rope is stretched along the bottom. We could not assess the reef due to muddy water. Probably, it's beautiful in calm.
Meeting great girls saved our vacation. Huge greetings to Ksyusha, Olechka, Tanechka and Tanyusha! You are the best!
We won't be returning to this hotel and won't recommend it to anyone. In Marsa Alam, you need to take hotels in the bay.
Thanks for attention!

Taking a pause in advance after returning, the emotions subsided, and the impressions did not affect the objectivity of the assessment.
This is not the first time in Egypt that I consider myself an experienced tourist, but this is the first time in this hotel (and in this region), although the Concord hotel once rested in Sharm el-Sheikh and brought normal impressions.
Marsa Alam is a place not damaged by civilization for about 180 km. from Hurghada. So, the first small test for a tourist (after the transfer from 04.00 to 09.00, and therefore to 10.00) is a transfer that lasts about 3 and a half hours, because the quality of roads in the region, to put it mildly, does not meet the best standards . Okay, although the asphalt was everywhere.
Tour operator Joan Up gave us a small van (for 8 passengers) for 5 people, in which the air conditioner pretended to work.
If overboard + 50, the windows are not an option.
After overcoming 2/3 of the way, they made a pit stop. Some kind of forgotten gendelik, in which in addition to an unforgettable toilet offer mineral water, sweet water, juice drinks (which try to quench like juices - good that I read a little Arabic), chips, ice cream, dates and dates of the Middle Kingdom and the like Can make coffee from stick or in Turkish. Everything is dirty, neglected and unhappy, but there is an air-conditioned area. No matter how much the driver has to rest after 2 hours of travel, sitting there for almost 30 minutes (27) is too much. Hey, Joan-Up, can you hear me?
In short, after the transfer of the flight and the fabulous transfer we got to the hotel at 17.20. Any Joan just stole our whole day off, because in case of arrival at 07-30, as planned, we should wait until 12-00.
The hotel immediately served us a cool juice, but do not worry, it was not fresh, as befits a 5-star hotel, and the usual powdered juice drink. Okay, though cool.
The check-in took place almost instantly, and in 20-30 minutes our whole group was already enjoying the sea. Since the hotel is almost empty, everyone was given sea-view rooms: those who paid for it, and others for whom it was a pleasant surprise. Looking ahead, I would like to note that there were, in general, few such pleasant surprises. It was a little surprising that at check-in the passport was not returned, and I had to go to the reception to find out. Reminding - gave immediately, so let's write off the usual amateur. Useful life hack: in this hotel you should be reminded of everything several times - and the result will come. Although not immediately.
The room is quite clean and spacious, everything works (even the air conditioning, TV and remote control). TV channels - about 25, about 15 - Arab, the rest European, 2 Russian.
The bed is normal, the linen is clean, the mini safe is working, the minibar is empty. In the room in the range of electric kettle, cheap tea and coffee, sugar.
Plumbing - no comments, although the toilet bowl for some reason square. I wonder if the shape of the buttocks would change, for example, in a month or two of living? !!
There was no hot water as such (maximum noticeable heat), but this did not affect hygienic procedures. When it's +45 outside, it's nice.
The guys cleaned up normally, and since I usually give them a dollar, they almost loved me. By the way, there is a very useful bundle at the reception - an ATM for exchanging currencies for Egyptian pounds. I put a banknote in one slot, the tin thought for a while, gave you an exchange rate (normal rate, no travel fraud), if it suits you - you poke a key, in 15 seconds you have local currency from another slot. Works around the clock. The only remark: the machine is capricious and does not eat tired bills. The exchange rate was 16 per dollar and 18 per euro.
A few words about the hotel: it is compact and cozy, there is enough greenery that surrounds the buildings. Guys in green uniforms start caring from 04.30 in the morning. Due to the small area from the choirs to the reception, dining room and beach a maximum of 5 minutes walk.
There are 2 swimming pools on the territory - the deepest (140 cm) and for parents with children. The adult pool is large, even playing something like water polo.
Near the pool there is a ping pong table and a chess field with plastic figures half a meter high. A set of figures and pawns, only the horses unscrewed the makita. Everything would be fine, but the chessboard is unsuccessfully located just in the scorching sun most of the day, so to withstand the game - almost a concession. And the sun there in the middle of summer is terrible.
By the pool - shower, bar and toilet (on the beach to install a toilet is not enough).
The children's club, diving center, hammam and sauna did not work due to COVID restrictions, which are currently stricter in the country than in our country.
The gym (Jim) started working on the 5th day of my stay after I personally inquired about his condition 5 times a day. It is interesting that cooking it (washing, cleaning, installing equipment) started with my first question, so "search and find". The hall opened at 10.00, but it is possible to use it only when you visit there at 10.00 and turn on the air conditioner (or reduce the air conditioning temperature from 24 to 16 (minimum)). The hall is mediocre, cramped - but what it is. In Egypt, did not meet a decent Jim.
Vacationers are mostly Egyptians, for whom the industry has significantly reduced the price of their own salvation. Many visitors even travel from Cairo (over 800 km). The influx is on Thursday / Friday, from Saturday it decreases, and again the hotel is quiet and peaceful.
The dining room is spacious, air-conditioned, the tables are at an appropriate distance. Containers with paramedics are hung under the walls.
In contrast to the same-looking containers in residential buildings, all containers in the dining room are filled. There is a veranda, but due to the high temperature it was practically not used.
The waiters bring the menu (Arabic and English) and you make your choice.
In fact, there was no choice for breakfast, and all ten days it was the same. As they say, copy-paste. I understand that during this period, hotels save on everything, but here's what's surprising: do not ask for butter, do not bring. You don't remember the jam / jam - and that's good. Think about it: in a 5-star hotel, a vacationer should be reminded of such simple things. For sindanok and dinner containers with juices, ie juice-containing drinks, functioned, and during lunch-bolt. At breakfast, such a quiet boy stabs an omelet. He tried, but he didn't speak English well, and he was still standing behind the glass, and he could hardly be heard.
However, he understood my Arabic, and we even had a warm conversation with him before leaving.
From the first day I started to feed fitsik, and I was brought the whole range and with repetitions, if asked. However, I did not understand: did the Chaldeans follow the instructions on how much to save or just recruited them "by announcement"?
There were 2 main dishes to choose from for lunch and dinner, and in the last 3-4 days the number of offers has increased to 3 dishes. Usually one fish, one meat and one chicken. Everything is edible, but quite mediocre, although the portions are large, and no one was starving. There were desserts and different, but I'm not particularly fond of it and chose sliced fruit - apples (extremely tasteless), melons (more or less), watermelons (not every day), oranges (nicho) or fruit salad. One day the chef came out and asked if everything was okay. I told him it was okay, but still. Then I was impudent and asked to make "umm-ali" (my favorite dessert).
He was surprised that I spoke Arabic with him, but he complied the next evening.
You would see the eyes of the Egyptians when I was personally presented with a dessert to order.
It seems that the "all inclusive" in Egyptian hotels died for a long time and for a long time, which is why the owners are very happy. Therefore, for food more than satisfactory, I can not put.
Marsa Alam is a young resort. There is no hotel chain on shore. You go outside the hotel - and there is a Martian landscape: stones, rocks and sand, everything is hot and scary. To the right of us the nearest hotel was at a distance of 6 km, to the left - an unfinished ghost hotel. To civilization - the village. Port Galib - 15 miles However, due to quarantine, everything is closed, except for a supermarket and one restaurant. All excursions and trips have been canceled due to the cursed quarantine. Spending 2 evenings trying to find something, but now. The only thing they offer is to take you to some "fabulous" beach for 40 euros, and take you back in the afternoon.
For reference: in the afternoon there in July you can harden to anthracite rashes on the skin.
The hotel has animators, but no one is interested in them, and they, poor thing, wander around the territory like the shadow of Hamlet's father. Although trying to arrange stretching at 10-30 (already quite hot) or beach volleyball at 15-30 (at +50 in the sun).
The beach is large, stand in 3 rows of umbrellas from the sun, sunbeds, everything works, more or less clean. There is a shower, there is no toilet on the beach, the beach bar is closed, but it worked. The entrance to the sea is from the shore, you can even without slippers, but you should enter carefully and slowly, because there are sharp stones. It is good that the water is clear, Kupatis is best from 06 to 09 (water is clear), and then after 17.00 (although the water is already cloudy).
The pontoon is not very long, 100-120 meters, but the stairs to the water alone.
Since most Egyptians do not know how to swim or do not swim very well, they stick to these stairs, holding them with all their limbs, and prevent as much as possible out of the water (easier to go, you can jump elsewhere).
What I definitely remember is the reef.
It is radically different from Sharm and Hurghada in the richness of colors, variety of fish and coral. To the right of the pontoon there is nothing to catch, and to the left, 100 meters from the pontoon, stingrays, turtles, a lot of such moray eels. Dolphins swam in several cuts. They are interested in us, swim to a distance of 2-3 meters, although they are more interested in fish.
One of the daring swimmers came across a reef shark. More precisely, seeing her from the surface, but the collision did not occur.
For those who do not speak Arabic or English, the hotel will be difficult. At the reception there are Egyptian staff who more or less understand Russian.
from 10 am to 4 pm a rather talkative and impulsive, but friendly woman Maria from the Russian Federation is on duty. She is ready to help solve your household problems, but is not able to change the approach of hotel management or ease quarantine restrictions.
To sum up: I can not recommend a visit to this hotel in the current environment, as the disadvantages clearly outweigh the advantages. In fact, currently the only advantage of the hotel is a really chic reef with its underwater inhabitants. For those who are big fans of diving, this is the right choice.
For those looking for drive and entertainment, this is the "bankrupt" sector
There are other, more accessible regions in Egypt for holidays with young children.
Romantic couples who admire the sunrise, can sometimes wait for dolphins and immersed in each other, you can go here.
The region, of course, has potential, because before (before the virus) it was dominated by "firma" (Europeans).
Even this hotel has potential in a virus-free era. However, now, due to closed facilities, poor food, mediocre level of service, the 5-star hotel has once turned - perhaps temporarily - into an ordinary three, a "rich house of a collective farmer. "
It would be interesting to visit it after the plague, but when it will happen or will happen at all ...
Thank you for your attention, if anyone is interested - I can tell you more (mail metallik @ ukr. Net) and throw photos.

The plane from Kyiv flew to Marsa Alam at night and already at 6 in the morning we were at the hotel. Since the hotel was 100% occupied, the earlier check-in had to be exchanged for soft-comfortable sofas in the hotel lobby.
The hotel staff ate as much as possible to brighten up our expectation of rooms, because tea / juice with sweets was the most it.
Having waited for the key to our room, we unanimously changed the place of deployment. The rooms are spacious, clean and with good views.
The territory of the hotel is large and interesting.
Clean pool and beach.
The cuisine is delicious and varied. Acquaintance with the chef allowed us to become participants in a tour of the kitchen and make sure that food was prepared in a clean and orderly manner. I'm talking about tasty treats))
The staff is friendly (you will not feel the difference in attention either in restaurants or bars), and the administrator Maria will help with any questions.
The onsite seafood restaurant is worth a visit.
The sea is heaven! Can't describe with pictures or words. It is better to see with your own eyes)) There is a diving school on the territory of the hotel. SPA-center. In the shops you will find everything you may need during your holiday.
Entertainment. . . This is a separately positively rich program that sets the tone for your vacation: Alena captured the hearts of our children, and together with the team (Jackie, Kirill, Irina and Kostya) won the hearts of adults. You are cool guys. Keep it up!
Once again, I was convinced that the team is 65% of the success of any business, and since we were lucky, we brought home a lot of positive and vivid impressions.
Thanks!! ! )
P. S. It is better to bring alcohol with you ; -)

The beach is excellent, there were always free sun loungers. We only swam from the pontoon, although there is a small lagoon, it is not very deep there, there are several coral islands, but everything is clear from the pontoon much brighter. We were also lucky with turtles, we saw them regularly, there were stingrays every day, in general, the fish here are larger in size, even those that we saw in other regions of Egypt. A lot has already been written about the beauty of the sea in this place, I just join all the praises and recommend seeing everything personally. I liked the territory of the hotel, clean, well-groomed, there are several pools, as for me, there is not much greenery. The food is not bad, there is always a standard choice, the queues were rare, the food is delicious, I see no reason to list the products, since you can eat deliciously at home, but it’s impossible to stay hungry. We do not drink strong alcohol, but if the beer is cold, then you can drink. The main contingent of vacationers are Western Europeans, there are very few Russian speakers, and in everyday life my husband and I speak Bulgarian because we come from Bessarabia. In the evening, we regularly went to performances after dinner, since there really is nothing more to do, you can watch it all, the atmosphere of relaxation feels great. We never saw a dugong, so we took a trip to Marsa-Mubarak, we were lucky there, plus turtles swim in shallow water. We also went out on a boat to the dolphin bay, of course, extraordinary spaces open up, all these trips were taken on the Samtour website, payment after the fact, including for Luxor. The staff at the hotel is positive, but we didn’t have any problems with them, everyone is polite and smiling, so I can safely advise the hotel, unless of course long commutes don’t scare you.

In terms of nutrition, everything was fine, the choice is good and quite tasty, but not all, well, as they say, it’s the taste and color.... I liked the desserts, well-cooked meat, the fish was not impressed. There are a la carte restaurants, but it seems to be paid, we did not go and were not particularly interested. The territory is well-groomed, there is enough greenery, everything is clean, several pools, including children's ones. Of course, the sea impressed me the most, it is magnificent, a large beach, there are enough places, a good stationary pontoon, the underwater world is a fairy tale, fish of extraordinary beauty, corals, I am not a strong Polovtsian and a connoisseur, but this is something, very beautiful, but a little from the depth scary, I like to feel the bottom under my feet. The room is normal, everything worked, we don’t pay much attention to furniture and repairs, it’s not so important for us personally on vacation, the beach and the sea are much more important)) Initially, even before the trip, we decided to go on excursions, chose on the website of the local tour bureau tibatur com, stopped choice on Dendera-Luxor with a cruise on the Nile, I really liked the trip, we went by bus to Dendera, then on a yacht to Luxor, very impressed, super. It was Thursday, it is once a week, so if you are planning something like this, it is better to contact the manager (Russian speaking) in advance or look at the program and days on the website. We used the hotel Internet, it was enough for correspondence. The only thing that is not very good is that there is nowhere to go for a walk near the hotel, the desert... Now we are planning a trip to Sharm. Have a good rest and only positive emotions!

If you go from April to October inclusive, then the sea and the reef will brighten up all the shortcomings, I think you will like it. There are stingrays, big fish in coral caves, inexpensive diving, I personally saw a turtle and a meter-long shark at a depth.
Mostly pensioners and middle-aged people who come for diving have a rest.
From November to March there is a strong wind and you do not get pleasure from the sea, you start looking for flaws.
