Stayed in a double one-room suite for 40 euros per night (September, no food).
The hotel is located on the first line in the central part of the city and not far from Anerxatisias street, which is strewn with all sorts of shops with things for shoppers (in September they had good discounts on summer things). Opposite is a promenade for walking and bike rental. This is especially true for travelers with small children. The streets in the city are narrow and a child can fully run only on the beach, boulevard or park located nearby. Near the hotel there are many cafes and grocery stores. Walk to the beach about 5 minutes.
The room itself is small, but quite suitable for sleeping and eating. The large double bed is enough for 2 adults and a small child. The mattress is too soft and I experienced some lower back discomfort in the morning.
A wardrobe with shelves and hangers easily accommodated the entire contents of the suitcase and subsequent purchases. Small kitchen with electric tiles (low power), refrigerator, kettle, dishes, etc. will be a big plus for those who like to get up early. Local cafes begin to fully work only from 10 - 11 am, we could not leave less than 15 - 20 euros for two in them. The table and two chairs can be easily moved to the balcony and you can eat with a sea view. There is also air conditioning, TV, combined shower room (tray 50x50 with curtain) and toilet. The shower, in my opinion, is very uncomfortable because the wet curtain constantly sticks to the back. This hotel has 2-room rooms with a full bathroom for 50 euros per day.
The main disadvantage of the hotel is that the road running along the entire coast and located in front of the hotel is very busy and all sorts of crazy bikers like to burn their 2-wheeled friends.
At night it is about 25 degrees and you have to sleep with the balcony doors wide open (I did not dare to close the doors and sleep under the air conditioner). If you have sleep problems, then I do not recommend taking hotels located close to this road.
If you will rest mainly on the sea, then it is better to take a hotel with full board (breakfast - dinner) and a beach with its own sun loungers and umbrellas. Food in cafes is not cheap at all. Due to the low load, the owners of most of the establishments that we visited worked themselves (they do not keep additional staff) and most of the dishes were warmed up from previously prepared ones. 2 sun loungers and an umbrella on the public beach will cost 7.5 euros. Being without an umbrella, especially with children, is very difficult (even when smeared with sunscreen).
If you want to taste real Greek cuisine, I recommend going to about. Crete.
There, all the dishes are piping hot, and the salads are just a fairy tale, in almost all establishments pleasant Greek music plays.
