The flight from Minsk to Kavala took only 2 hours and 15 minutes. At the Kavala airport, we were seated on buses and taken to the ferry. After 45 minutes we were already on the island.
At the port, they put me in a car and after 5 minutes I was at the hotel. The rest were taken to their resort villages. Hotel Egeo is a private mini-hotel with 15 rooms. The hostess from Bulgaria - Katerina speaks good Russian. A very pleasant woman. The hotel is clean and quiet. No extraneous sounds. The room is large with a fridge. The bathroom has a normal shower, hair dryer. Breakfast - delicious continental yogurt, salad, olives, cheese cold cuts, toast, pastries, tea, coffee, juice, nuts. What can I say - just a cool hotel!
The infrastructure is also good. After a couple of days, having gone around the whole town, I found three excellent supermarkets there and bought them. Fruit - at the price of Minsk. Cheese is something! ! If you are a cheese soul, you are in Greece. Tomatoes and milk were especially fond of - I have never tasted tastier than in Thassos. Tzatziki - the national Greek dish - just fly away, I would eat every day. I bought tzatziki both in culinary by weight and in packaging. Three times I dined at a restaurant by the sea. The average price is 15 euros (these are octopuses or sardines or fried cheese with potato salad with a glass of wine, with dessert (watermelon), with a tip).
Well, now about the main thing. The Aegean Sea is just awesome! ! Very clean. Everywhere is different. And transparent and blue and green. I just didn't want to get out of the water. Came home bronze from sunburn. Of the full 11 days of rest, the waves were only 2 days, and then in the morning. From the hotel to the beach, go 20-30 minutes either to the right or to the left. The entire beach line is divided into sections that are served by bars. The beach policy on Thassos is this - you go to the beach, buy something for 3 euros (it can be frappe - cold delicious coffee, or lemon or orange fresh) and for the whole day your sunbed and umbrella.
The main contingent of tourists are Serbs and Romanians. I don’t understand why, but Tassos is not yet very popular among the Slavs. I met Russian-speaking people only on excursions. Once on the beach I heard Ukrainian speech. Moreover, there was a couple from Moscow in my hotel. And that's all. But in vain))

Stayed at this hotel last year with friends. The principle of choosing a hotel was "cheap and cheerful". However, we did not regret for a moment of our vacation that we chose this hotel! The hotel itself is located in the town of Limenas near the port, within easy reach of shops, taverns and beaches. However, the hotel itself is quite cozy and calm, you can not hear any noise from the streets or music.

We got a spacious room with a large balcony, where we drank Greek coffee every morning. )Cleaned every day, bedding changed every two days, and towels every day. The room had a refrigerator, air conditioning, TV with Russian channels, hair dryer, which was very impressive. Usually there is no hair dryer in deuces, and in general you will not find a telly or a refrigerator).
There are no complaints about the food, standard buffet breakfasts, everything is tasty and fresh. We usually dined with fruit where we bought it in a store, and dined in taverns.
It takes 5 to 15 minutes to walk to the beach, depending on which beach, how close it is to me. We visited different beaches, both in the city itself and outside the city, and I can say for sure that the beaches there are super, white sand, turquoise water, just a bomb.
In a word, we are satisfied with the rest, I can advise the hotel both for young people and for a relaxing holiday.
