I didn’t like that the pool is closed at 18:00, it’s far from the sea, and it’s hot in the evening, I really want to swim and I don’t understand these rules at all, they could close at 21:00. The Internet catches only on the first floor, and sometimes it completely disappeared for the whole day. We are easy-going and were on our feet all day, but it was far from the sea, in the heat, and we were far away, I want to go before lunch and after and swim at night, but go far. Public beaches in Marmaris this year are dirty, a lot of cigarette butts, so we went by minibus to Icmeler. We traveled on an inexpensive route. If for an adequate price, then I would return to this hotel more than once.
The beach is for active people and those who like to walk, because it's far away, about 20 minutes in the heat. The water in the sea within Marmaris leaves much to be desired. Every year it gets dirtier and dirtier. I went to swim in Icmeler. The big minus for me was that music rumbles at night, from which even a closed balcony does not save. I had to sleep with earplugs. For lovers of silence, the hotel is definitely not suitable. In principle, like any hotel in Marmaris. Still, it's a party city.
For those who plan to buy excursions, I definitely do not recommend the nearby travel agency (2 minutes walk to the right of the hotel) 5m Trawel. They will divorce you for money so famously that you won’t have time to blink an eye. Do not agree to any discounts, the result in any case will not be in your favor.
In the end, it will be cheaper to buy excursions from a hotel guide. That's about all I wanted to share. Be sure to take a good mood with you on vacation, and then the above disadvantages will definitely not spoil your vacation.
I'll start with the positives: really nice and kind staff. It should be remembered that they are not to blame that the owner of the hotel is trying to save on almost everything. There is internet, though weak. A good room with a beautiful view of Marmaris and even a little bit of the sea, although it is 1.5 km from the hotel. The room was cleaned every day and the sheets were changed frequently. The room has air conditioning and a TV with Russian and English channels. Marmaris is fun! Many cafes, bars, parties, restaurants that are located on the waterfront. You can watch shows at these venues for free. On the way to the airport they gave us big sandwiches - thank you very much for that! After all, they stopped feeding on planes...
Now to the cons. I do not advise you to go to Marmaris at all, who loves the warm sea. We got used to the sea for a very long time, we went into it for 15 minutes. By the way, the Aegean Sea is not the cleanest - at the end of our vacation, the water was in dead flies, feces, bottles, bags. The hotel does not have its own beach! Moreover, many Marmaris hotels do not have their own beaches. Basically, they are all paid here: you can buy a cocktail (from 20 lir) or juice (15 lir), and you can lie down all day. There is a public dirty beach if you don't want to pay, but it's a long way to get to it. There is no entertainment in the hotel. There was some kind of karaoke, and that's all. Breakfast is empty. There is nothing. Every breakfast is eggs, maybe porridge, milk with cereal, cheese, sausage, bread (uncut), salads. I liked lunches and dinners: a large number of salads, watermelons, chicken, french fries and rustic, soy cutlets. I gained 3 kg during the holiday, despite the fact that I swam a lot, went back and forth from the beach to the hotel and back. But still, the chicken is very annoying for such a long vacation. Some of our neighbors went to eat in restaurants, because. they didn't like the hotel kitchen at all. By the way, on the 3rd day of our vacation, they found a live worm in the salad (I'm attaching a photo). They showed the worm to the hotel employee, and he simply said: "I'm sorry, I reported this to the cook. " In the room we had a terrible bath, which was covered with fungus. There are no curtains, so when you shower, all the water will be on the floor. The walls in the room are dirty and not very well painted. There is no refrigerator in the room. The remoteness of the hotel from the sea kills. Do not think that I'm just old and sloppy, but you will understand when you go to the sea after tomorrow, then back for lunch, then from lunch to the sea, (and someone else goes back and forth for an afternoon snack), then from the sea for dinner and after dinner, walk to the embankment (nowhere else) and back again. The hotel is falling apart a little: we lived on the 5th floor and in the last 3 days the barrel of water on the roof began to drip heavily, the water got on our balcony. When leaving the whole hotel was dripping, water from the barrels flowed from the side and front of the hotel. I hope it was a short-term accident. All inclusive here from 10 to 22. There was cheap alcohol, chemical juices, americano and cappuccino from the machine.
My family and I realized that many of the reviews that are written here and on other sites are false and bought. There are no free buses to the sea here, by the way. We didn’t go hungry, only because we ate a lot, but the food is boring and not everyone will like it. For 12 days we paid a very decent amount and it was really a shame that such a hotel came across, besides going to restaurants and paying for beaches (some of them are really expensive). Stray cats walk around the hotel, no one kicks them out.
Last advice from an experienced traveler to Turkey: go to Antalya or Alanya - the sea is warmer there, there is also entertainment, hotels are cheaper and better.
Arriving at the hotel at 10 am, where check-in (like everywhere else) is only at 2:00 pm, we were surprised that we were told that we would also receive the all bracelet only at 2:00 pm and, accordingly, we automatically skip lunch and have dinner only at 7 pm : 00.
It was very unpleasant, since we did not sleep all night, then we drove to the hotel and now, when you expect to at least drink a cold Coke in such a heat at 10 in the morning, they refuse you and say "wait until 19:00 or (no wonder ) pay!
The second point is the food in general!
Everything is delicious, edible, BUT it's not all, but rather a variant of "what they give or stay hungry. " In the literal sense, tomorrow is boiled cold eggs, 1 type of sausage, 1 cheese, jams and butter with a beam, cappuccino or americano.
Lunch - soup, 1 main course, 2 side dishes (always the same fries and rice), 3 salads from the same ingredients, the simplest sweets 2 types and coffee / tea.
For a person who expects a normal all-inclusive, this is, to put it mildly, strange!
Starting from the fourth day, we skipped food and had a snack ourselves, there are many cafes nearby and a Migros supermarket with the lowest prices!
In general, I repeat once again, the hotel is good, the rooms are clean, towels and bedding are changed as needed, 5 floors, a swimming pool, a bar where you can buy cocktails for a fee.
You can take such a hotel, but without food!
The third point is supposedly its own beach! When we were driving, the hotel had an agreement with the Majestic cafe, it is a kilometer from the hotel on foot. And then it turned out that the agreements were broken, and there is a new beach in Ichmiler (by bus 15 minutes, a long walk), and a bus at 10 am there and back at 17:00. It was disappointing, but we decided to go at least once. When we got on the bus, it turned out that they would not take us to Icmeler, as a result they brought us to the beach next to the free one, the driver shook hands with the cafe administrator and we went to the sun loungers.
It was inconvenient, as they brought the menu, tables, the waiters stood nearby, I had to buy drinks. Conclusion: why did we supposedly go to a free beach, if we could sunbathe on any sunbeds at any restaurants any day!
In general, the hotel can be advised, but without food, and if you are not embarrassed by the "tan on the towels. "
But for the price you can find better!
