After studying the information on the Internet, the choice fell on the private hotel Yasnaya Polyana in Gaspra (I was impressed by the warm reviews of people). A certain room with a kitchen was chosen, because it was important for me to cook for the child myself. I booked a room, paying for a night stay ($55) in February, answered all my questions by e-mail, bought plane tickets and waited for August. A week before arrival, they wrote off again - they asked - what time would you arrive? - We are waiting well, we will order a taxi.
The taxi was really waiting for us, with a sign - this made us happy, but then everything went somehow wrong. We arrived at the place, exhausted by a five-hour night flight and a two-hour taxi ride along the Crimean serpentine - we were met by the hostess and it suddenly turned out that the check-in here takes place after 14-00 (we arrived at 11-00). But they prepared another room for us and we can stay there, well, since we are such mugs that we missed this question, we’ll sit in another room for another three hours. We didn’t want to settle down where we didn’t intend to live, so we drank tea and waited. However, there was no change after the appointed time. We found the hostess - why are you nervous - everything will be fine, why sit in the room - walk around the territory. I must say that the territory of the hotel turned out to be quite bald, all in concrete without a single vegetation and did not have to walk, and in general the situation began to strain. An hour later, I found the maid cleaning the next room. When asked if our room was ready, we were told that they would clean up here in order to move people here from our room, and then they would clean up after them, and then they would invite us. It was no longer funny at all, with such a beginning, I didn’t want to live here for a whole month. The day before departure, just in case, I wrote down several phone numbers of the hotels I liked, the first on the list was Violet.
When I was searching in the winter, I immediately liked this hotel, probably because its name coincided with the name of my daughter, but the price was too high for me.
They called, asked for a room for at least a week (I really wanted to leave the "hospitable" Yasnaya Polyana), they answered - come here. We took our suitcases and left. The hostess ran out - are you leaving? - Yes, we're leaving, we're tired of waiting for your number. Naturally, they did not offer to return the money. Well, God bless them, she was already ready to pay to get out of there. We went out the gate, moved away and sat down by the road with our suitcases, but we didn’t know how to call a taxi. We call Violet again - help, we don’t know how to get out - order a taxi for us. The owners took pity - they came for us in their car, and they were looking for us for another half an hour, because we could not explain where we were, and they refused to take money for it.
And finally, we were there, fell out of the car with our suitcases completely empty and crossed the threshold of the territory and felt that we had found an oasis in the middle of the desert. I still admire how such a green coziness could be created in such a small area. Flowers, cacti, palm trees on the lawns, flowers in pots on the stairs - everything is well-groomed, the paths are made of beautiful tiles - every morning they are swept, watered, wiped dry.
We were seated at a table in the courtyard, while the room was being cleaned, we were given mineral water to drink and listened to our whole story. We arrived for a month - we were offered a suite with a discount for a week, if we wanted, and then move to another room, because the suite was booked from a certain date. The number is ready - go, they say, relax, otherwise your faces are green, we'll deal with the money later.
In my opinion, as soon as we entered, we fell asleep without unpacking our suitcases. The next morning yesterday already seemed like a terrible dream.
Well, as they say, there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. I liked everything about Violet.
Location: 5 minutes to the beach. Bus stop right outside the window. A grocery store, a fruit market is also behind the fence. If you are too lazy to cook - a cafe in a neighboring house, the food is quite decent - it’s not scary to give a child. For a walk with a child, the location turned out to be ideal - immediately to the left is Miskhorsky Park, to the right, after 2 stops - Vorontsovsky Park. Again, the sea is very close - 5 minutes from the hotel. If we lived in Yasnaya Polyana, then it would take 20-30 minutes to get to the sea (and not 10 minutes at all, as they say on that site) - I specially walked from there when I was walking with a child along the Sunny Path.
According to accommodation: I repeat - a small, very cozy green courtyard, a small number of people (I have a bad attitude towards "anthills"), if I'm not mistaken, 7 rooms. Cleaning, change of linen and snow-white towels without reminders. And they did such miracles from towels - you go into the room - then a swan, then an elephant, then a flower, the child did not allow to take towels to break them. Wonderful tactful hosts, they do not impose themselves and do not interfere in the life of vacationers, while not a single request of ours was left without attention. No humiliating passport checks on arrival, no humiliating room checks and counting cups and spoons on departure. When the people who booked it were supposed to come to the suite where we lived, the owners approached us in the evening and asked to leave the room by 11 am - this, I think, should be done by decent people who value their name and reputation and respect their vacationers.
The deluxe room has a chic interior in purple tones, beautiful tiles on the floor, a small electric fireplace, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a shower cabin, a huge TV, on the balcony with a kitchen with tiles, dishes, wicker furniture for gatherings. The other room, to which we moved later, was simpler and more cramped, but on the other hand, the last floor was above nobody’s head (I am tortured by the noisy upstairs neighbors in my house), a kitchen, a refrigerator in the courtyard right under the stairs. They only came to the room to sleep, walked until their legs began to smoke, the TV, in my opinion, was only turned on 3 times.
Along the beach: the beach of the Ai-Petri sanatorium turned out to be the largest of all that I have seen on the Miskhor coast, although there are still a lot of people on it. Well, we often didn’t have a chance to be on the beach, I don’t know how it is usually in September in Crimea, we came to extend our summer, but in the end the weather was exactly like in Novosibirsk - rain and wind. The sea has cooled down to 15 degrees. So out of 4 weeks of rest, we swam for a week and a half, and the rest of the time we walked.
On the way: at our bus stop we could still get on, at the next bus stop the entire Miskhor sanatorium was squeezed in and only the lucky ones got on the bus, for some reason the driver stopped at other stops, but no one could get on. How people move around the South Coast with small children on public transport, if they do not live at the final stop, remains a mystery to me. We didn’t go sightseeing much because the child had to sleep during the day, as soon as you arrive somewhere, you already have to go back. From Yalta we managed to get out only by taxi, there was no way to get into the bus. Later we discovered the sea route and we liked it more, but of course it is 3 times more expensive.
In general, I am very grateful to the owners of Violet for our saved vacation. We achieved the goals of our trip - for the first time in 2 years, the child was in remission in a chronic disease, although it was short for only 2 months, but I blame the weather more for this. I think if we were lucky with the weather and we would sit more in the sea, then the remission would be longer. Therefore, to check this version, we must return again next year.
Julia, Novosibirsk.

Our impressions of Violeta: we got to the hotel at about 12 noon. Despite this, we gladly welcomed. They prepared 2 rooms for us to choose from. The rooms are so clean, like they've been licked. We entered the first suite. The room has a pleasant aroma, a night light is included. The atmosphere is ok. romantic!: ) The second number is smaller, cheaper and simpler, but also nice. Walk so walk, chose a suite! The room has Everything for life: 1 double bed with orthopedic mattress + sofa bed, large wardrobe, large refrigerator with freezer, 2 bedside tables, 2 night lamps, satellite TV, air conditioning, private balcony with table and chairs. On the balcony, as it were, the kitchen is made: a sink, an electric stove, an electric kettle, cups, plates, etc. right down to the corkscrew and ladle! In the evenings, we drank on the balcony: we ate fish with beer and looked at the Respect Hall cable car. The room was cleaned every day, swans and elephants were made from towels on a luxurious bed (no worse than in Turkey). The hotel itself consists of 8 rooms, a fenced area. There is very little space on the street, but everything is in flowers and tiles, och. nice and clean! To the sea 10 min. into a wreck. Beach - from san. Ai-Petri, paid, after 18 hours - free of charge. The sea is a large pebble (you don’t walk barefoot) very clean! There is no food at the hotel (if you don’t cook it yourself). We ate at the neighboring Rhodes hotel. Meals are ordered, there is always a choice. It's like a cafe-restaurant. I can’t say that it’s super, but for a solid four + Pts. clean and ok. polite waiters.
We are very picky and critical (to be honest) people. But the rest of 2013 was a success, we all really enjoyed it! Thank you very much to the owners of Violeta for everything and a huge hello! If I understand correctly, the owners of the hotel are family. Very hospitable, polite, tactful, friendly, intelligent people. They do not watch you all the time and do not make comments, in general you feel relaxed and comfortable.
I highly recommend visiting the Yalta Zoo (private)! THAT'S GREAT!! ! In it, some animals (they just walk, walk) can be stroked. The walk will take at least 3 hours. The zoo is amazing not only with a huge number of animals, but also with the same huge amount of vegetation. It was there that I can say and learned the nature of the Crimea: rare plants, shrubs, trees. THE BEAUTY!! ! I don’t advise you to the aquarium, the price is too high, it’s not worth it.
Were in Yalta. People och. lot. I liked the dances of pensioners on the embankment near the monument to Lenin. you can watch it forever! Grannies are all overdressed. There are almost no grandfathers, probably already extinct. There was a couple dancing. Very beautiful, elegant couple, despite their advanced age. Apparently engaged in professional ballroom dancing all their lives. How well they danced!
Swallow's Nest. If you go, say, by water or by minibus at some distance from it, say after 22:00. in the evening the view is amazing. There oh. beautiful white illumination, this is how we saw the Swallow's Nest when we drove to Violet late in the evening. Just puppy delight. I don’t see the point in visiting the nest directly, because. because of the danger of collapse, they don’t let him in + a huge number of people crowd.
I don’t advise you to buy a single ticket for all excursions for 90 hryvnias to the Vorontsov Palace, you simply don’t have enough health to get around all this, it’s about 5-6 hours (3-hour tour of the park + it seems 8 halls of the Vorontsov Palace + 5 independent exhibitions ! ) Pts. a lot of information, and therefore, after a couple of hours, you already begin to misunderstand the information from the guide: who went where, who went to whose brother, when it was built... It's a mess in my head.
I advise you to travel by water transport: fresh and fast, although expensive - 40 hryvnia for 1 person. Miskhor-Yalta.
About currency exchange. Opposite Violeta exchanger - the rate is so-so. The best rate was in Yalta (oddly enough), in the exchange office in the Vorontsov Palace and at the cable car.
Small minuses: 1. minus the hairdresser in Rhodes - a huge price. The price is more than in Moscow (highlighting, shoulder-length hair, then toning-830 hryvnia!!! ). 2. Cableway to Ai-Petri. Scary. Minus: the ascent is fast enough, you don’t have time to see everything properly, and 30 people are stuffed into the cabin! Lucky for the one who will be at the window, and the rest, on the toes behind their heads, if they see anything, it’s good. In general, of course it's interesting. When you get to the top, there for a fee you can climb even higher, for denyuzhka. The view is awesome. If you go to the mountain in the evening, then dress warmly. We climbed on a day when it was sunny, +33 in the afternoon. After 6 pm on the mountain, I wanted to wrap myself up in something, especially to cover my head, och. strong wind. At the top, a lot of sheep wool products and all sorts of souvenirs are sold. the queue was huge + froze.
If you want to heal, there are only sanatoriums around. We contacted Ai-Petri. The child was given: massage, inhalation, salt cave, oxygen cocktail, herbal tea, vacuum drainage of the tonsils. In winter, we'll see the result. We paid for each procedure, but it turns out you can buy at the reception in a sanatorium like a sanatorium card, it's more profitable!!!
!
Tip: do not plan excursion trips until 16-17 hours. You can die from the heat. Do not rent accommodation further from the sea than the level of Violeta. The road to the sea goes under a fairly large slope. And the farther you rent accommodation, the more exhausted on the way back. Be careful, a lot of people fall, slip in flip-flops on such steep slopes. Picture: dad put a small child on his shoulders, walked to the sea, a steep descent, asphalt. He slipped and miraculously did not crash and kill the child. How his wife yelled at him! How many times have I almost fallen. So be careful.
In general, they did not regret at all that they chose Crimea. Have a good holiday everyone!
Tatiana, Vadim & Nastenka.

We rested at the Violet Hotel (at that time it had not yet received such a name) in July 2011 with my wife and four-year-old daughter in a standard room. The hosts are very hospitable, until the room was ready, we were settled in a "suite" for a few days at no extra charge. It is very convenient that in any room there is an electric stove, dishes and a refrigerator - you can cook something yourself, warm up something, without being tied to a cafe or a dining room. Naturally, the room has all the amenities, air conditioning, TV with satellite channels - many Russian ones, incl. children's.
On the balcony of a standard room, you can comfortably sit with a laptop, you can catch WiFi; stable 3G signal (Utel), no matter how scolded.
The location is quite convenient - indeed, there are two shops, a cafe nearby; from the beach (the beach of the Ai-Petri sanatorium) it takes about 5 minutes to walk, however, you need to know how and where (the owners will show you).
The sights of the South Coast are nearby: you can walk to the cable car in 10 minutes, a little further - Alupka Park. You can also walk to the center of Miskhor with all the infrastructure in about 10 minutes; you can walk along the road - there will be a supermarket and a couple of shops, you can go downstairs and go through the park - there are children's entertainment, stalls; a little further - a dining room (we dined there several times), the beach "Mermaid", the pier "Miskhor" - you can get to Yalta by sea and further, we went to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden.
There is a stop nearby, two buses go to Yalta (if you choose the right time, you can easily take a seat) - one goes upstairs (you can get to the zoo and the Glade of Fairy Tales) and comes to the bus station (we never went to the end), the other goes down, comes almost to the seaport and the embankment. If you go the other way - after a couple of stops Vorontsovsky Park, the final one.
We were not lucky with the weather - that year at the beginning of July it was cool, the water warmed up only after a week and a half, then we managed to swim, but it's a pity that we had so little rest.
