Pappukutty Beach Resort disappointed in all respects:
1) The room when I drove into it was dirty: lipstick prints on the glass, linen on the bed with stains. Hotel corridors are dirty
2) Wi-fi in the rooms does not work. It works only on the ground floor, and that is not everywhere and it is very bad.
3) The hotel does not have a restaurant, there is something like a street cafe - plastic tables with dirty tablecloths, in which you will be served an Indian breakfast. I don’t want to eat it, because the kitchen looks again very dirty
4) There is no hot water during the day and in the evening. As explained to me at the hotel reception, it is turned on only early in the morning. And this is very inconvenient if you are taking Ayurvedic treatments with oil massage.
5) Noisy. The beach is really nearby, but you don’t want to spend time on it, just like on the territory of the hotel, because the hotel is located in the center of the busiest section of Kovalam. There are shops and cafes around, so people are around 20 hours a day.
6) The manager had to be asked several times to change the linen and clean up...
We left there on the third day. If you go to Kovalam, choose hotels on the other side of the lighthouse. There is a nice little beach with beautiful palm trees and half as many people. There for the same price you will find much better hotels.
This hotel is not worth 3000 rupees per day! I don't recommend it to anyone!

The median Hawah Beach, overlooked by the five-star Ashok Hotel on a rocky promontory, is used every morning by local fishermen who pull a huge net through the shallow water, catching small fish. The rest of the time they roll endless coils of coconut fiber rope. Samudra Beach is located 4 km north of Kovalam, bordered by terraces descending to the sea.

Vizhinjam Located south of Lighthouse Kovalam Beach. The fishing village was once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Ay. Until the 9th century power now and then passed to the Pandyas, and in the XI century. here the Cholas fought with the Chers. A number of simple sanctuaries have survived from that time, and you can dedicate an afternoon walk along shady paths among coconut groves to explore them. It is best to approach them from the center of the village, and not along the coastal path.
