Cleaning in the room by the hotel staff expectedly came down to the daily removal of garbage, the replacement of toilet paper and the symbolic sweeping of the central section of the floor in the hallway and the bathroom with a brush (and that was a couple of times in all the time). It did not reach the bedroom and the balcony. Wet cleaning for 11 days of our stay by the maids was never carried out. So they cleaned it up. Changed sheets and towels once. Only one towel is provided - a bath towel. Face towel not provided.
In general, the impression of the hotel is that money was normally invested only in its design and construction. And there was no money to equip the room stock and maintain it in a normal state. Super savings on everything. Even on lights. Lighting in the kitchen and shower is more suitable for creating an intimate setting, but not for shaving (in the shower) or cooking (in the kitchen). In the freezer of the refrigerator (there was no door on it), such a “fur coat” had grown that it seemed that the refrigerator had not been defrosted for more than a year. The thermostat was set to minimum. But all this is the little things that accompany a normal rest, which we actually expected.
But still, the administration of the hotel presented us with a surprise in the form of a one-bedroom apartment provided to us. Instead of the promised room with an area of .70 m2 with a spacious entrance hall, in which there is a kitchenette and a sofa bed, we received an "apartment" with an area of no more than 37 m2 with an entrance hall, in which there was only a kitchenette and a table. And there was nothing more that could fit in the area. But an additional third bed was pushed into the bedroom, which did not even allow opening and closing the door to the bedroom, if it was not moved each time. The air conditioner was located in this micro-hallway and blew towards the kitchenette. That is, it was problematic to cool the bedroom. Thus, this "apartment" looked more like an ordinary "studio" and did not match the description on the sites that posted information about the hotel.
Our complaints came to nothing. The administrator on duty referred to the hotel manager Veliyana Andreeva, whose office is located for some reason in Nessebar. But she never picked up the phone that day or the next. When we contacted the Solvex tour operator, its representative Andrei contacted the manager and informed us that we had received the number that we had ordered. Namely - a one-bedroom apartment, and they all have such one-bedroom apartments (blatant lie). The fact that the area of this apartment should be 70 m2 and there should be a sofa bed in the hallway, i. e. at least one bed, they almost hear for the first time, and for the information about this apartment, posted on all sites where their hotel is described, they do not bear any responsibility.
On the day of check-out, during the short time that we were in the hotel lobby, two families who had just moved into the hotel turned to the administrator with similar complaints. But since such a massive “divorce” had never before been reflected in hotel reviews, I dare to assume that earlier such “apartments” were provided as a “studio”, and in 2019 they decided to earn extra money from scratch. In general, the hotel is not bad for an inexpensive holiday, only the "decency" of the manager leaves much to be desired.
I took a tour to this hotel because of: price, proximity to the beach, elevator in the hotel, availability of a supermarket.
The beach is really close, five minutes - and the SEA. But... These pieces of mini-beach among the stones near the huge hotels and apartments, it's something. People - SEA!! ! Islets of free beaches are VERY scanty.
Paid sunbed - 20 leva / 10 (!!! ) EURO. True, a sunbed with an umbrella. Well, that's it, because You won't get a sunbed without an umbrella. There are many unequipped slopes to the sea, just a sloping road with stones, which is not safe to go down. When located next to luxury hotels, this is simply outrageous. : -(((((
The sea is cool, but for some reason I don't want to go there anymore.
Market "Mercury" is very good. Everything is. If you are in those parts, I recommend Bulgarian wine. Especially semi-dry. Pink. . . Tale!! ! For only 6 BGN / 3 EURO. (Just think - 7 bottles of wine per day on a sun lounger. . . : -)))
Hotel/Apartments Palm Royal. A "hospitable" welcome. Nothing was said, nothing was shown. They gave me the key and that's it, go.
(That's what. That's when, upon arrival, the driver drove for two hours along the Sunny Beach-St. Vlas in search of hotels for tourists who were sitting in his bus, this is YES! We were a married couple, two ladies, one lady and I. The task was: to find 4 hotels. They circled for a long, very long time. When we drove past Mercury for the third time, I woke up - my hotel is in the alley to the right of the hotel, I was getting ready, reading about the hotel. Bingo! The driver asked: " Here? " Me: "I don't know, I'm here for the first time. " He: "I'm also the first time. " When I met the next day with the agent of the host tour operator Solvex, I was indignant at the reception. In response, they laughed. The way back was the same without seeing off. But at least the driver knew the way to the airport. I do not recommend the company "Solvex" in any case! )
So the hotel. Somewhere on the third day of hiking back and forth along the corridor, when you go to the sea, I found another way out of the hotel. You can go right there. But - go down the stairs.
(It's hard for me, my legs hurt. )
There is an elevator, but it is somehow in the middle of the building. And he did not play a role for me, because. on it you come to the -1 floor, from which you need to go down the stairs. All in all, it's kind of difficult.
Be prepared that this hotel has a lot of "long-term" vacationers. Who are always running around, taking meter readings, and other worries. You walk along the corridor - smells / stench from cooking, because people cook there in a serious way: borscht, fried potatoes, etc.
Stated in the description: "Housekeeping: daily, change of towels: every 3 days, change of linen: every 4 days. "
NOTHING LIKE THIS!! ! THIS IS JUST A SCAM!!!
During my 7 days of rest in this hotel, I NEVER: they didn’t clean, they didn’t change towels, they didn’t change the bed. They brought toilet paper a couple of times. FSE!!!
I took out the garbage myself, garbage cans are on the way to the sea. This is not difficult. Although this is NOT MY JOB!
(Hosts renting apartments, please note!!! )
The pool is nice and is VERY well cleaned. Bars and cafes on site - NO. It's good that at least there is an exchanger. To have a bite to eat in a cafe, you still need to find them, wander around the surrounding streets in search. I liked the cafe in the hotel "Aqua Dreams" - entrance from the sea. I did not like it - a cafe near the minimarket on South Street.
The results of the rest in St. Vlas. I liked the sea. And that is early in the morning. Nothing more. The cordiality of the Bulgarians from the fact that they came to rest and brought money, I did not see. And it was - ALWAYS! That is why I have always chosen Bulgaria for their warmth and hospitality. It's a pity. . .
1. Price - 200 euros for 10 nights for two (well, find it cheaper if you can).
2. Appearance. Very beautiful, large, two pools, many flowers, trees, the smell of lavender and arborvitae is simply incomparable.
3. Rooms - apartments. A kitchen unit with the necessary set of dishes, pots, pans, kettle and everything else is available. Beautiful furniture, air conditioning, balcony, LCD TV. We had room 187 on the fifth floor. Very good location, the sun shone only in the morning. Therefore, it was very comfortable, not hot, even the air conditioner was hardly used, although it worked perfectly.
4. Proximity to the sea. 3 minutes walk along a beautiful street full of roses, lavender, and coniferous trees and you are on Daiquiri Beach. But we didn’t like this beach at all - narrow, cramped and dirty. But if you walk fifteen minutes along the coast near the Riu hotel, the beach is simply magnificent, very clean, large, there are not so many people, because there is only this hotel next to this beach, the entrance to the sea is very smooth, the water is very clean and warm.
5. Benevolent administration. We were settled immediately upon arrival at 7.30 am, maybe just lucky. We left the room at 12.00 left things at the reception, we ourselves walked around the hotel and near the pools, the time before departure, which is a little bit 7 hours, somehow flew by. Yes, the hotel has an exchange office with a pleasant rate.
St. Vlas impressed us with its beauty, very well-groomed, green, you can go to the yacht club, to Nessebar by bus No. 5, No. 8 for about 20 minutes, the price is 2 leva. A lot of pastries, well, very tasty, I recommend trying tutmannik with Bulgarian cheese, and also the Bulgarian cold soup Tarator. Homemade wine is also very much enjoyed Fruits vegetables , small shops are almost the will of every hotel. There is a Mercury supermarket from the hotel about 15-20 minutes on foot. Rest were very satisfied.
The hotel area is very decent, beautiful, clean, a turtle and cats live) there is a playground, everything was in order, and there were several slides and swings. There are two pools, an adult and a children's one, we didn't swim, but they always seemed to be clean.
The resort of St. Vlas itself was very pleasant, quiet, compact, the main part is apartments, not giant hotels! In the hotel, only the cries of seagulls were heard, at 5 in the morning, and so silence, no buses, no entertainment and animation until the morning, quiet, we really liked it. There is a lot of greenery, far from the hotel to the well-known marina, of course, but with small children we got there normally, but once was enough, there is nothing special to consider there. We went uphill, the view of the resort is beautiful, there is an ecological path, we did not go. There is a church of St. Atanasia, you can go in, very old, interesting, cozy. Prices in the nearest cafes seemed to us approximately comparable, everywhere it was delicious. Would we go to this hotel again? Most likely yes, if you had to choose a relatively budget vacation at sea, but you would go with your own pan)) You just need to prepare well, as in all trips in principle, and take a good mood with you and the rest will be a vacation!
The flight was early in the morning at 5:25 pm. Belavia always pleases with its accuracy and soft landing. Breakfast was served on board (double sandwich and drinks).
We arrived at the hotel very early, around 09.00. At the reception they told us to wait until 14.00, but after 15 minutes we were offered a room. We were very happy because we were with a child. Thanks to the receptionist for getting us to a nice room so quickly.
The room (studio) was on the 5th floor, No. 185. Due to the fact that the room was a corner room, it was larger than other studios. Upon arrival, the room was clean, plumbing in good condition - everything worked. In the room: two beds, bedside tables - 2 pcs. , sofa, wardrobe, table, 4 chairs, TV stand (LCD) and air conditioning (free of charge). The beds were made with fresh but clean linens. The kitchen corner is equipped with: a not very small refrigerator, a built-in BEKO 2-camphor electric hob (the hob worked very well, heated up in a matter of minutes), an electric kettle, dishes: 1 pan, 1 dead frying pan, 4 glasses, 4 mugs, a knife , 3 forks, 3 spoons, 3 table knives, three deep and small plates, opener, salt shaker, pepper shaker, cutting board. Among the shortcomings of the room, I would like to note the old mattresses on the beds (springs are felt) and small pillows, but these are trifles, considering how much we paid for the room. After reading reviews of poor housekeeping, we prepared for the worst. They were even willing to clean the room themselves. But everything turned out to be much easier. Left the money - the room was removed, but did not leave - they only take the garbage (in the toilet) and put toilet paper (1 roll). When checking in, the bathroom contained 2 disposable shower gel bags and 2 small bars of soap. I liked the fact that the room had a full hallway where you could leave your shoes and not carry sand into the room itself. There is a coat rack in the hallway. The door to the bathroom is mirrored. Very handy before going out.
The hotel area is just fabulous, just a botanical garden! Where magnolias, roses, lavender and other flowers and shrubs grow. The territory is looked after: a gardener, cleaners and two workers who instantly eliminate minor breakdowns. The nice thing is that every day when you meet these people, you notice that the owner of the hotel is not indifferent to how vacationers spend their 10-14 days of vacation. On the territory of the hotel there are 2 swimming pools (adult and children), a cafe, a playground, a coffee machine, an exchange office with a regular rate. Near the pools there are new sunbeds (free!!! ) and new umbrellas. The water in the pool is clean.
The sea - Daiquiri Beach is 150 meters from the hotel. Go to it for 3-4 minutes along a picturesque road through the Casa Royale complex. The beach is sandy, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas (8 lev - per unit), but there is also a free area where you can always find a free place. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy.
The hotel is located in a quiet place in St. Vlas. In addition to the main exit, there are two more, which is very convenient if you go to the sea or take a walk in the city center. The hotel has a very good location! The sea is nearby, the center is 15 minutes, and the main plus is the Mercury supermarket (the one we are used to) is an 8-10 minute walk. This is the largest store with a good assortment and reasonable prices. Also near the hotel there are two more mini-shops with groceries where you can buy fruits, vegetables and everything you need. Going down to the beach, on the right side, there is a wonderful place for an evening rest. This is the Aqua Dream restaurant. Where connoisseurs of good Bulgarian cuisine and karaoke lovers will have a good time. The prices there are reasonable, the service is excellent and there is always a lot of fun.
The hotel is suitable for a relaxing budget holiday and you should not expect a 4-5 star level from it, this hotel has only 2 of them!
