Well-kept territory. Purely.
There is a regular small shuttle to the sea.
The beach is neat and well-kept. A small pier, from it and the entrance to the sea. The sea is warm and clean. There is even a very good coral reef in the hotels. A great variety of fish. There is something to see. I recommend everyone to do snorkeling from the very first day. Opposite the hotel is a street with shops and pharmacies. Where to buy snorkeling masks.
The rooms have good Wi-Fi.
They lived in number 1044.
The number is flawless. However, there was no liquid soap. But when they asked nicely, they fixed everything.
The hotel staff is very polite, friendly and friendly.
A lot can be written about the kitchen separately.
The chef is simply a master of his craft! Everything was tasty, fresh. Breakfast is always the same, but there is an extremely large selection of dishes, which in a week have not even been tried. Lunch and dinner were different every time. Everything is very tasty.
A large selection of fish, beef, poultry. There was even lamb, duck, crabs, octopus, shrimp, sushi, shawarma. Lots of fresh greens, vegetables. From fruits - guava, pomegranate, dates, bananas, apples, oranges. Choice for different tastes. And children too.
We will definitely come here again.
They are very satisfied with their vacation. We will recommend the hotel to friends.
I also liked that the hotel has a daily shuttle service to different areas of Sharm, completely free of charge. The waiters in the lobby are great too! In general, I recommend this hotel to everyone, I would definitely return.
I would like to note and thank the staff of the restaurant and especially the manager. Nice people, friendly, always smiling, some even speak Russian. Also thank Ashok, a friendly and cheerful guy who speaks excellent Russian for his help in resolving the issue.
They understood us with grief in half, took us to show the room, chose 1628 (sea view, 3rd floor, while you can see the roof and corridors of the previous building, comrades Arabs walk with pleasure and look at the balconies at us like little animals when we sit there) .
The rooms are great, fairly new, decent shower, bedroom, balcony. The walls are very thin, you can hear the conversations of the neighbors and their revelations. They clean it just by making the bed, in a week the floor was washed twice as much as possible, we stopped leaving tips, because this did not affect the quality in any way, and the further made me want to leave here as soon as possible. There was a problem in the form of mosquitoes, they fly from the balcony, climb from the air conditioner, but the closed windows and doors do not save, we could not sleep, they ate us. We went to the reception, asked for a mosquito repellent, like we were hardly understood, they said an hour and they would bring us to the room. We went to the beach, returned closer to 4m - did not bring anything.
We call the reception - one of the employees who spoke only Arabic took it, he could not understand a word either in English or in Russian, he only speaks call housekeeping. We call - he picks up the phone, does not understand anything, says Sorry so sorry. Arriving a couple of hours later at the reception, we were told to go to the store and if we summarize this stream of sounds instead of words: your problem is only yours, do what you want.
Then on November 2nd I had a birthday, immediately upon arrival they signed up for a la carte saying that it was my birthday. As a result, we were informed the day before that our appointment was canceled because the restaurant was not working (it worked, it was open, we were simply sent for some reason known only to them). We decided to use the free bus to Soho and take a walk there once such a thing. At the reception, the schedule is not up to date, there are not two buses, but one, at 19.15 there, at 22 from there, if they are late for a minute, they will leave without you, no one cares how you will get back if something happens.
We came at 18.30 to have dinner before departure, and then we were disappointed. The hotel dining room is half the number of guests staying at the hotel, after waiting 45 minutes in line before departure, we did not manage to have dinner. They congratulated me on my birthday by throwing a dry biscuit cake into the room. The overall impression began to deteriorate on the same day. But further is better. Having harbored a grudge for the past day and a spoiled mood on my birthday, but still hoping that at least the next day we would have a normal rest the next evening, we finally went to ala carte (by the way, although the printout that you will be given says that he is in Masala and fish - not believe me, this is the Elements canteen where you can have a bite to eat at lunch, they just let you in in the evening only by appointment). This is not an ordinary a la carte with waiters and a menu, no, the same restaurant as the main one, you pick up food yourself, the assortment is the same. Well, we think, at least not to stand in line for an hour at the entrance. Our place was not immediately found, they said everything was busy.
We found a place, okay, let's go get food. Some of the trays with lids are on the street near the open barbecue (a meter from the tables with visitors).
We decided to stand and wait for the kebab, which was supposed to be ready in a couple of minutes. At this time, something began to happen. A burning napkin rushes past us, shattering into pieces inches from our hair and clothes, almost setting us on fire. As it turned out, it was from a tray that is suspected to have set the table on fire. There are no fire extinguishers or water near the fire zone, of course. The waiter did not come up with anything better than to take a napkin and extinguish it, it naturally caught fire. He again did not come up with anything better than to hold a burning napkin behind people's backs, she began to burn him and he threw it in our direction. When a friend raised a cry that they almost set us on fire, we were told It's okay, no fire. At the same time, the table continued to playfully blaze with flames next to us.
We made a fuss, it was the last straw of patience.
But. Let's go back to the fact that the staff speaks English and Russian literally at the level of a couple of memorized phrases, and no matter what we say, they don't understand us, they just say Sorry so sorry again. On the noise they found some manager who (oh, really) spoke English. He apologized, promised to fix everything (they wrapped the trays in foil, but if by some misfortune you are a visitor to this hotel, stay away from the outdoor area, it is dangerous for your life). Yes, they brought us cola cocktails with juice as an apology, yes, then they were especially attentive and, oh, really, the staff can wear masks, put on everyone who says food at the barbecue (none of the staff wear masks in the hotel, the coronavirus is here No, it's not clear why.
Complaining at the reception is useless, they won’t understand it, except to write and translate it into an Arabic translator.
In the dining room there are two times more people than the room can accommodate, most often you need to defend a huge queue. There is a limited amount of food, very little, everything is sorted out and you can stay hungry because the food will not be changed soon, but they cook deliciously. For the first time I see that feta is given in a limited way and only at breakfast as if it were gold. Missing it for lunch and dinner. From 12.30 to 16.00, grilled meat in hot dogs and burgers with french fries are prepared on the beach, in Elements you can take a tasteless salad, the same hot dog and delicious pizza with tuna. In the evening, if you are lucky, you will break into the dining room for dinner. Or not.
It's amazing how a normal hotel, with good rooms, a steep reef, can be ruined by a terrible level of service, disgusting inhumane attitude and disregard for safety.
If your life and good mood are dear to you and you don’t want to count the days before departure, as we do, and fight for the elementary right to have dinner from the canteen, for a dry towel, for a room without mosquitoes that will not let you sleep - stop choosing another hotel.
We arrived at the hotel at 7-50 and asked (for $ 20) a good room. At the reception there are employees who speak Russian well. At 10-10 we checked into room 1222 (it is a corner room) on the 3rd floor overlooking the 2nd hotel pool and partial sea view. True, the bracelets were put on only at 11-30. The room had an electric kettle and tea and coffee making facilities which were very convenient.
The hotel has a nice option - from about 6-00 in the lobby bar you can drink drinks from the coffee machine and eat croissants and two types of other buns. It's free. So we didn't need breakfast.
Everything in the room worked, except for the lock on the door to the balcony. The room had everything that is indicated in the description of the hotel. Pleased with the presence of drying clothes on the balcony.
They cleaned every day, at first around 9-30 (when we were on the beach), then between 11-00 and 12-00, when we had already returned from the beach and were going for lunch, but it did not bother. Bed linen was changed on the 5th day without a reminder from our side. The cleaner was left with a chocolate bar every day.
Extending the room (we had a late flight) costs $25 from 12:00 to 15:00 (including lunch) and $35 from 12:00 to 18:00 (including lunch).
From 10-00 animators work at the hotel: darts, yoga, bocha, water polo in the lower pool, etc. After dinner, there are animators' performances at the exit from the reception.
Yes, by the way, Wi-Fi in the hotel is paid - $ 10 for 7 days.
Beach
Here we were in for a series of troubles. Firstly, we were only able to get 1 towel on the cards. The second towel - only the next day, when we waited for the delivery of towels to the lower pool.
Something else was worse - almost all the places on the 6-level beach are occupied, although people sit on about 1/4 of the occupied sunbeds.
As a result, I had to take sunbeds every morning at 6-00, usually on the 3rd or 4th tier - there is more room between the sunbeds. In the evening (about 15-10) you could find free sunbeds, but there were not many of them (leaving the beach in the morning, we took our towels). By the way, for the loss of a towel or a card for it, a fine of 10 euros, as well as for the loss of a card from the room.
The swimming area, fenced with buoys, is very small. From the side of the coral on the hotel beach there are 2 lionfish - it's very dangerous!!!
I swam south towards the Sultan Gardens hotel (there is an uninteresting reef and few fish) to the pier of the Sunrise Arabian hotel. Here the reef is more interesting and there are more fish. If you sail north (Piramisa hotel beach), then the reef is more interesting than that of Sultan Gardens, especially 100 meters from the Piramisa pontoon. In the morning it is more interesting to sail there because of the better illumination of the reef (the sun shines in the back). There is a gentle current from Piramisa towards Xperience Sea Breeze beach. Therefore, it is very comfortable to swim back with a minimum of effort.
I swam every day several times, but more or less large fish (a flock of about 20 pieces of blue-finned horse mackerel about 60-75 cm long) were seen only once.
In general, in Sharks Bay (during several vacations I sailed it from the Siva Sharm Hotel to the Sunrise Arabian Hotel), there is neither a beautiful reef, nor a large number and variety of fish.
Hotel
This is a boutique hotel with a very small area - its width is about 50 m. But on this territory there are 4 pools, one of which has a water slide. There were 3 bars - at the reception, near the pool with a water slide and on the beach. In the last two from 12-30 you could eat fast food. The positive point is that the bartenders pour all the drinks without stint, and give as many glasses as you ask. 2 drinks like UPI and cold/hot water are always available. The staff is generally very friendly and almost everyone understands Russian.
There is a slight slope of the hotel towards the sea, this did not bother us at all, but for those who wish, a hotel bus runs inside the hotel along the fence with the Piramisa hotel.
In one of the reviews, I read that from the hotel for 20-25 minutes. you can walk to the main road along which the Old Market minibuses run - Nabq is not true.
It was comfortable to walk there, because you walk along the fence, the non-working hotel in the shade and the breeze blows. So we visited the Sinai Diorama for Biodiversity. Went about 40 min. It appeared that it was still under construction. But we saw a beautiful park, a flock of white herons and hoopoes.
If you go left when leaving the hotel, you will find yourself on a shopping street that is not much inferior to the well-known Il Merkato street.
Nutrition
The all-inclusive system works from 10-30 (those who like to drink beer in the morning will not like it). The main drawback is that drinks (except UPI and water) are served by waiters at lunch and dinner. To receive them on time, you need to give 1 dollar / day.
The food is very varied and plentiful. Every day fish: fried, baked or grilled. There is always beef, by the way, well cooked, kebeb, etc. , etc. For 10 days: king prawns were 3 times, squid, octopus, crabs. The restaurant is divided into two parts: where they serve Italian cuisine and international - Arabic cuisine.
Dishes are put by waiters who stand behind a glass partition into their own plates. They charge as much as you ask.
Free access: bakery products, pickles, vegetables, fruits (there is a drawback here - there has never been a watermelon, as a rule: guava, melon, grapefruit, orange, often grapes), pickles, culinary products.
In the morning, the queue for scrambled eggs can be 3 or 12 people. Similarly, there can be a lot of people for dinner - often 12-15 people stand at the back of the head to each other. Once, at dinner, we could not immediately find empty seats in any of the two halls of the restaurant.
There are fewer people in the hall at lunchtime.
Anti-Covid Measures
At the reception there is a sign "All hotel staff are vaccinated against covid. " In the restaurant, most of the employees wear masks, but many wear them on their chins. Due to the crowding in the restaurant, we, in the process of collecting food, wore respirators and took places in the most remote part of the restaurant.
The drinks
The local red and white wine is sour and unpleasant. Beer is nothing. By the way, in the restaurant the waiters serve drinks in glass. Strong alcoholic drinks of local production are diluted and very amateurish (as in all Egyptian hotels). The coffee from the coffee machine is so-so, but the hot chocolate is very good. Juices in bars are poured from packages, and they are thick and fragrant, especially liked the mango juice.
Pros: Friendly staff, good food.
Cons: "battle for sunbeds", small territory, uninteresting reef.
The reef at the hotel is quite long, but not deep, there are many colored fish, an overview can be found at the link.
The reef is brighter if you swim across the buoys to the left of entering the sea, the corals are brighter, if you swim confidently, it is better to sail away.
The beach, like the hotel itself, is cascading, you have to climb the slope, if you are traveling with children or people with disabilities, you are not here, as it will be difficult to walk (the main restaurant is at the very top, and the beach and rooms are down the slope).
To take a place on the beach near the water, it is better to get up early, but if you don’t care a couple of levels higher, there are always free sun loungers.
For food, there is a main restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and two a la carte restaurants (fish and grill). Once per vacation, you can sign up for a restaurant with a grill, which is located near the pool, with relaxing music.
On the menu, fruits (persimmon, melon, dates, pomegranate, figs, bananas, guava, pears, grapes), sweets are ordinary cakes, meat (turkey, chicken, beef), fish only in batter, there was no grill. Twice a week fish dinner (grilled shrimps and crabs).
On the territory of several bars, at the reception, the beach, near the pools. Alcohol is local, like everywhere else. Fast food starts around 12, at lunchtime there is also watery ice cream, but it’s not bad in the heat.
Of the significant disadvantages, there are a lot of people in hotels and for lunch and dinner you have to stand in line to enter, then the line for food, if you want to drink, then this is a whole quest, for lunch and dinner drinks are brought by the waiter, there are only two of them for the whole crowd . We waited for drinks for the whole vacation a couple of times, in other cases they either didn’t come to us, or forgot about the order, there were cases when we had already eaten, and the drinks were only brought. As for me, it would be better not to make an attempt to provide restaurant service, but to give people the opportunity to pour themselves as in 4x. Often people at the bar took a drink for themselves and already came with glasses in their hands.
The food was quite tasty and varied.
Once per stay, you can use the free shuttle service from the hotel of your choice (Soho, Old Town).
Separately, about the check-in, the sediment was not pleasant, we arrived at 7 in the morning, the check-in was told to wait until 2, there are no complaints here, since the hotel is filled to capacity. But they didn’t give us bracelets, they told us to wait until 10.30, the time when breakfast was over, this is the first time I’ve come across such zhlobstvo, although I’ve rested more than once in Egypt and Turkey. Surcharge for tomorrow was about 10-15 dollars per person.
At 10.30, they finally gave me a bracelet, gave out a couple of buns and were allowed to take coffee at the bar.
Cards for towels are given after check-in, consider if you plan to lie on the beach before lunch, and not wait for a settlement at the reception.
Wi-Fi on the territory is only paid, $ 10 for one device for a week, but it does not catch the beach. Free nets of nearby hotels are caught on the beach.
The territory of the hotel does not seem to be large, but since it is long in front of each building there is a swimming pool or a garden.
The rooms are different, there are after repair, but there are completely dead ones, the best buildings are 12 and 14, just between the beach and the restaurant.
A very active and cheerful animation team, all day there was some kind of movement (yoga, aerobics, darts), in the evenings there was a show (the program is weak, like everywhere else in Egypt, except for the fire show, it was cool, I recommend visiting).
The overall impression is positive, I'm ready to come again.
The hotel, in principle, is not bad, but there are "+" and "-".
Pros:
- norm numbers
- housekeeping is ok
- restaurants of norms (even 2 times there were seafood)
- good pier, reef like everywhere else
- near the market with delicious mangoes
- many pools
Minuses:
- none of the staff wear masks
- upon arrival and departure, bracelets will be removed and put on strictly on time. If a flight after lunch is not allowed for lunch, they will be asked to pay an additional $ 30
- upon arrival at the reception, they pretend to be morons in order to give them a bribe
- the main restaurant is very small
- food is collected and thrown right in front of the nose in one container, at the sight of this, a gag reflex is caused
Dear hotel manager, with such an attitude towards guests, I don’t want to return to your hotel.
Now the most interesting thing is our eviction - a man came to us to check the room before departure and his first question was whether there was a TV remote control !! ! In the search, we understand that it is not there, they began to demand 10 dollars for the remote control that we allegedly stole to Ukraine! ) The coolest thing is that they stole it themselves so that we would pay for the repair of the remote control)) immediately a question about the remote control flew in) After I said that our T-shirt was gone, let them call the chief, turn out the suitcases and return our stolen things to us, they hushed up the conflict as if nothing had happened and all the repairs are no longer needed))))
Service: good boys) but here we were drinking cognac from dutifri in the dining room, the waiter came up with a glass and said pour it - also not a very pleasant moment. The cleaner is rude! The food is tastier than not, but the potatoes are always undercooked) If you omit all these but, then the hotel is not bad) There are many pools, but they are all small) The coral reef is nothing unusual, there are few fish. Decide for yourself how lucky you are, check things every day. Their internet is bad, better card at the airport)
I have been to this hotel five times already, and three times of them with my mother. From the first time I liked the hotel for its location, many moments convenient for my mother. She is an elderly person, I have problems with her legs, it is difficult for her to walk, and age also makes its own adjustments.
When we checked into the hotel earlier, we never had any problems, especially since we were already greeted as permanent and there was respect for my mother.
Upon arrival at the hotel on 09/02/2021 at 04.30 am, we were denied early check-in. They said they wouldn't check in before 10:00 am. I came every half hour and asked us to check in earlier. She pointed out that we are regular customers, at the age of her mother, of course she spoke and offered to pay for early check-in. The hotel has a price list, it is at the reception, there are all the prices for early check-in and renewal.
I was constantly refused, there were a lot of ornaments, there are no clean rooms, although in the end we were settled in one. All the towels were in lipstick, and the same color, dirt from wiping the feet, and when I opened the bed, there were blood stains and it was clear that they were lying on the sheet, in a word, they used everything. Their next arguments were that the hotel was very busy, there were no available rooms, although on 09/02/2021 there was a small part of the check-in at the hotel, I asked the vacationers, of course, this was also visible to me during the day, in a restaurant, on the beach. For all the time of visits, I can already say exactly what percentage of the hotel's occupancy. I wanted to sum it up. The new policy of the hotel killed our feelings for him.
Of course, I no longer want to endure such mockery on your part, we went to you as to our family, many employees remember and love us. But the fact that my mother sat for more than five hours is not acceptable and not forgivable. I don’t understand your new policy, there was an opportunity for the hotel to earn extra money, we wanted to pay, but no, let people suffer, and the rooms are empty.
Very, very big disappointment and resentment remained in my heart.
In general, the hotel is very good. Food too. The staff is friendly. We were satisfied, if you do not take into account the nuance with the check-in and breakfast.
