hotel. the hotel is very beautiful. friendly staff. Turks and Cypriots. although the Turks are more civilized. The rooms are all with sea view and pool view. there is one minus - half of the rooms overlook the side of the Cypriot "farm" - there are dogs that bark loudly and often, horses, sheep, chickens, peacocks and so on. the view is a bit sad. The rooms are beautiful, cleaned every day, everything works.
nutrition. the hotel operates on an all inclusive basis. there is a bar in the lobby, on the beach, near the pool. the food is excellent. in June there were enough fruits, vegetables, sweets, Turkish dishes. with meat as everywhere - it seemed to be and at the same time was not. But I don't eat meat, so everything is fine. there were a lot of fish. very tasty.
Beach. the beach is small, but since many people come to the hotel because of the casino, where they sit all night, there are not many people on the beach during the day. mostly women with children. or without children. many English. in northern cyprus, in general, there are a lot of English people - many have villas. there is even a shop where they sell pork. excursion boats with tourists sail to the beach during the day and stand about 50 meters from the shore. and if you go behind the hotel and walk along the former Mosquito hotel (now bungalows are rented), you can go to a wild beach. pebbles in Kyrenia. You can take a ride to a very beautiful sandy beach. but it's not worth it. we were told 70 kg. but it is visible on the water. we drove along the winding paths for 3-4 hours. By the time we arrived, I didn’t want anything, although it was very beautiful.
entertainment. The hotel has a casino - the main entertainment. was there for the first time - wildly liked it. if there is a desire, they can teach not only to play, but also to play the role of a dealer. There are a lot of casinos in the city. they are at every turn and in every hotel. on the embankment in the evening is simply magical. beautiful and the energy is overwhelming. otherwise, no worse during the day. Lots of clothing and souvenir shops. prices are like in Turkey - although there is something cheaper, and something more expensive. also on the waterfront is a fortress - the main attraction. I advise you to go either in the morning or in the evening - during the day it is unrealistically hot. the city is also full of small cafes, especially on the waterfront.
from the shortcomings. you need to take into account that with a stamp of northern cyprus in your passport - they will not open a visa to greece or cyprus!! ! so you need to warn the customs officers at passport control to put a stamp not in the passport, but on the sheet
and more - if you have a company. it will be cheaper to pay for the flight yourself and rent a bungalow. near Merit, as I wrote, there are Mosquito villas. true for at least a month - you can split up - 2 weeks you rest, 2 your friends. minibuses and buses run from the airport to Girnu. so it won't be hard to get there.
valuable info: flight from 300 to 600 bucks in both directions (with a transfer in Istanbul or Antalya)
bungalow rental per month: 1-room - 200 bucks, 2-room 250. food prices are very low, car rental per day is approximately 5 euros (average price). there is something to see.
a bunch of local cafes and restaurants with low prices and very tasty dishes.
