great quiet family run hotel. The location is confusing at first, but on the very first day you find some pluses - silence, fresh air, few passers-by, located between 2 beaches: Kata and Karon. Walk about the same: about 15 minutes. who loves waves - go to Karon, it's cleaner there, the beach is huge, there are fewer people, who with children or not a fan of waves - go down to Kata.

Walk about the same: about 15 minutes. who loves waves - go to Karon, it's cleaner there, the beach is huge, there are fewer people, who with children or not a fan of waves - go down to Kata. The hotel is located on a mountainside - the view is beautiful (as in the photo) The deluxe room is huge (especially for 3 *). Huge comfortable bed. About the air conditioner: the flow direction is adjustable (move the blinds), the mode of operation is changed. At night, I recommend the circulation mode and direct the blinds down (and not hot and quiet). The hotel is clean, the room was cleaned daily and well. Breakfast buffet (4-5 hot dishes, a choice of egg dishes, good coffee, fresh juices, fruits and vegetables without restrictions (again, I note that this is 3 *! ) The owners of the hotel, husband and wife, are very charming and sociable people ( speak English fluently) They give towels to the beach - you return it in the evening. Also at the entrance there is a basket with umbrellas from the sun (the Europeans took it, we didn’t : )) Lovely small hotel 3 *. For Asia, it's great! For couples or small companies - it is better not to come up with. They also rented a Yamaha motorbike (very frisky equipment! ) Here. Documents are not needed for this, only payment per day. Wi fi is excellent, free, there is a hairdryer in the room, a safe, a kettle, a refrigerator, dishes (every day they bring coffee, water 2 * 0.5 l to the room)

We returned from Thailand yesterday. Stayed for two weeks with my husband. I will say right away that the next time I go, I will most likely choose it again, although at first, when I saw its remoteness from the sea, I was upset. We returned from Thailand yesterday. Stayed for two weeks with my husband. I will say right away that the next time I go, I will most likely choose it again, although at first, when I saw its remoteness from the sea, I was upset. It is located at 500 meters from the beach, as they say in the hotel information. Go to Karon beach with an average step of 20 minutes, to Kata a little further - 25 minutes. The hotel is located on a mountain, from which the view from the balcony is simply gorgeous - you can see the sea and mountains, and the wall where the balcony and the balcony itself are glass, and thanks to this you can watch the most beautiful landscapes right lying on a huge bed. The disadvantage of the fact that the hotel is located on the mountain is the return to the hotel, since you have to climb up the mountain, given that it's hot, you can barely bring your feet home. So rest with children is simply contraindicated there - you'll get confused! The room is simply huge, it consists of an entrance hall, a main room, a kitchen, a toilet with a bath and a balcony. The total size is over 50 square meters. meters. Each room has 2 air conditioners, a kettle with tea accessories, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a large wardrobe. Another great thing is free wi-fi internet. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is calm. Be prepared to be disappointed with breakfast. because it's the same every day. Not a buffet, but they just bring you a large plate containing one egg scrambled eggs, two sausages, two thin slices of bacon, two toasted breads, jam, coleslaw, some pineapple and watermelon, tea, coffee, milk, drinks. But we must remember that we are not going to rest because of breakfasts, these are mere trifles compared to all other delights. For lunch and dinner, we most often went to a cafe, which is located a two-minute walk from the hotel, on the road to the right (we ate from them on our last visit), this cafe, where locals eat, the cost of one dish is an average of 50 rubles. We moved on a bike, took it in the same place as last time - from Benimo. Almost every day we went to Patong and to the Central Festival. Fruits and vegetables were bought not at the Kata market, but at the nomadic market, which is open on Kata on Monday and Thursday afternoons, I described its location in detail in a review of the Ibis Hotel Kata, where we rested in December 2010. There were no cases of theft encountered. The owners of the hotel are very nice, they are constantly interested in how you relax. Considering the low cost, this is just a wonderful hotel, besides, usually other hotels do not have such a view from the balcony and such huge rooms. Summing up, I will say again that I advise you to rest there, but only for those who travel without small children and who are friends with a motorbike! I add photos, maybe everything that I wrote and showed will be useful to someone.

Terrible hotel! There are centimeter gaps under the doors, so that every sound is heard from 1 to 4 floors. The rooms are stuffy (they changed two, because it was just awful on the 2nd floor), both at night and during the day like in a sauna. The air conditioner is too strong, it blows exactly on the bed, you can’t sleep under it.

The air conditioner is too strong, it blows exactly on the bed, you can’t sleep under it. Our friends, who had a 2-room suite, turned on the air conditioner in another room and that was the only way to save themselves.
Before civilization 20-25 minutes on foot on a very busy road with trucks, buses and other large evil spirits. Riding a scooter is terribly unpleasant, even in Moscow I didn’t twitch like that. Before leaving, the road rises and the cars do not slow down, you need to slip very quickly. So in the morning and in the evening - in front of the hotels is the main road leading to Patong.
This is how to get to the beach and restaurants in the evening.
The hotel is on the mountain, after dinner, along a hot road without a shadow, we had to stomp or go to the hotel.
We are not the first and not the second time in Thailand, we visited different hotels - from 4 * to the most simple ones, none of them had such a disgusting impression.
The staff are Chinese. Guides from our tour operator were very surprised to talk to these characters. They said in secret that hiring Chinese in a hotel or restaurant is to kill the establishment. Terribly rude and stupid. Maybe we're just so lucky.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and I myself will not go there even for 3 kopecks.
In addition, a 5-minute walk from the beach you can find beautiful houses for the same price.
Thailand is a fairy tale, even in 2 * all problems are forgotten. But this is a disgusting place in the category below the plinth.

This is not the first time we have traveled to our beloved Thailand. Phuket and Koh Samui are a true paradise on earth. We had over three weeks of vacation and wanted to spend half of our vacation in Karon and the other half in Patong. We were offered this hotel at the last moment, and we, looking at beautiful photos, agreed. But on the third day of rest, after unsuccessful negotiations with the guide and especially with the staff, we just ran away from there, spitting on money - we found an excellent and inexpensive apartment a five-minute walk from the beach, and most importantly, there was a cool shade, normal air conditioning, and at night you could sleep there!
The hotel is located on a mountain, there are no buildings behind it. There is no infrastructure around, and under the windows there is a cock farm, where a many-voiced choir of 6 or 7 roosters does not stop from dusk until dawn. Earplugs don't help. We didn't sleep for 2 nights.
The rooms are beautiful, new, but uncomfortable: there are gaps under the doors, you can hear everything that happens in the corridor. Day and night, terrible heat, air conditioning right above the bed, it hums like a tractor and it is impossible to sleep with it - it blows very cold from it. Things on this damp balcony did not dry at all. Breakfast is modest. Towels must be sought. There are no shelves and hangers in the cabinets and tables, things were in bags and in suitcases.
And finally, the road to the beach. We are frisky and athletic, but these 20-25 minutes in the morning, in the evening, as well as in the afternoon and back, every day - this is 2 hours a day. We took pity on ourselves. In addition, I am a city dweller and tend to mopeds and cars behind my back, because there were no sidewalks on the highway along which you had to walk to the beach.
Are you ready for all this? Then wellcome. But if noisy men live around you, you will also be disturbed by drinking and noise in the corridor. And there is no one in this hotel at night - a harmless and strange-looking person who only understands Thai is sleeping at the reception. He doesn't tidy up. He just sleeps there and that's it.
In short, at least know what kind of "paradise" a beautiful picture lures you into - no sleep, no food, no walk to the sea, to unpack things, or agree on a change of room! Just run away, spitting on the money. which we did. But in Patong we came across a great hotel Barami! Recomend for everybody.
