Gotta go later. But that didn't stop us from swimming. Impressions are only positive. I liked the rest very much. Everyone can find a negative, but we didn't.
Upon arrival, it turned out that this is a 4-star hotel and there is no smell of five stars there.
The first thing that caught my eye was the disorganization of the staff at the reception. We were seated for about an hour. After our request to settle in a good room with a sea view (and we have, for a second, a honeymoon trip), we were settled in a room with a view of the hoods and air conditioners of the dining room.
In the room: an air conditioner sealed with tape (which is about 15 years old), a mini-fridge, practically not working, with water drips on the bottom (the same age as the air conditioner), bed linen with holes on the pillowcases, towels with yellow spots and holes, a wardrobe no shelves with ancient trempels, a non-working lamp, a leaking washbasin, empty glass holders for toothpaste and brushes.
Of the advantages in the room - only a bed.
Food is ok, but very monotonous. Meat is mainly chicken and fish. From the side dishes - rice, pasta, potatoes. From vegetables - cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, peppers. Pros: Desserts.
Service is utter horror! The maid changed the linen and towels only on the 4th day, and then after $ 2 was left on the bed. I washed the floor once in 6 days, wiped the dust once too, and then not everywhere. With shampoo and soap in general, the trouble was given only on the day of arrival and that's it! I had to ask every day, and then demand, because the requests were repeatedly ignored.
Towels are not provided on the beach, there are no toilets and changing rooms either. I had to lie on a pareo and my own things (because towels were expensive in the city), and cut from the beach to the hotel 300 m up to go to the toilet.
About the snacks promised at the beach stations from 10 am to 5 pm, I generally keep quiet. I had to wring them out from, sorry, "smart-assed" staff. They issued it only after we brought the client's memo, where our rights were written in black and white!
Conclusion: the hotel should be closed and turned into a restaurant!
Service. All hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The waiters in the restaurant, like bees, work from early morning until late at night and always with a smile on their faces. The bartenders by the pool will fulfill any request, they will offer a "hurry cocktail for you")))
Nutrition. On the highest level. Large selection of fruits and vegetables. Watermelon, melon, nectarine, apples, plums. The meat was chicken and turkey, in a wide variety of interpretations. Fish of 4 kinds.
Very tasty and every time something new.
The hotel is suitable for both young people and families with children. There are playgrounds, water slides and several pools (near different buildings). There is animation, including a Russian-speaking girl.
A hotel for those who prefer to relax in the circle of Europeans, rather than Russian-speaking people. To the center of Marmaris, the Grand Bazaar, and Bar Street on foot about an hour. Better by minibus (cost 2.5 lire = 1 dollar).
A small note: all prices are in Lira! ! Of course, they accept both dollars and euros, but they transfer at their own (unfavorable for you) rate. We only had dollars with us. . There seem to be no problems with the exchange, "Change offices" at every step, BUT, then they have a commission, then they didn’t give a couple of liras, then the rate is too low. In short, it’s better to buy lira immediately at the airport and not worry ))
Tours. I repeat (most vacationers write about this). Do not buy excursions from your guide. Prices have doubled or even tripled.
There are many places where you can buy them on the street for less. In fact, you visit the same sights and hamams, sail on the same yachts and with Russian-speaking guides. We took an excursion in the already known "NO NAME" to Cleopatra Island. Very pleased! Beauty is amazing! The guide's statement that the insurance does not work in this case is complete nonsense!
And in conclusion, I want to express HUGE thanks to our new friend Malik, who literally saved me from an itchy allergy to the sun. Seeing my suffering, he very quickly brought oil (special! ) And saved me from pain. And all this on a personal initiative and for free! ! )) Malik comes to the hotel every day and provides an opportunity for vacationers to visit an elite hammam and all kinds of massages.
Turks are very friendly, cheerful, open and hospitable people. And Marmaris is a charming city. So fly and relax! You will not regret))
I write in order:
1. Settlement.
The bus of the tour operator Aneks drove up to the very entrance to the hotel, they didn’t stomp with suitcases. Since we arrived at the hotel around 17-00, a nice Russian-speaking girl Natalia at the reception immediately gave out the key to the room. Initially, I wanted to live in a higher bungalow, but they said that the hotel was completely full and placed us in a building across the road above the children's pool with slides. By the way, the contingent of the hotel is 90% Dutch, 5% English, and 5% Slavs. Subsequently, I was very glad that I lived there. The room was renovated, small but very cozy, with new furniture and new plumbing, the air conditioner was never turned on, as it was always cool in the room, we always slept with an open balcony. in the minibar 1 large bottle of water and 4 juice packs.
2. Nutrition.
In a word, you can overeat))) we recovered by 2 kg, despite running around on the stairs 3 times a day.
There is a lot of food and sooooo delicious, thank you very much to the chefs! There was a queue at the restaurant, but as it turned out, for French fries))) The Dutch ate it both for lunch and dinner.
We usually came to the opening, we could always find a free table. Once we arrived late from an excursion, we had to look for a free place. but smart boy waiters quickly bring clean dishes and drinks.
3. Beach
Shared, free for 3 hotels, quite long but narrow. with sun loungers in mid-July, trouble. By 8-30 there are no more places available ((
on the beach 90% are tourists from Ukraine and Russia. Foreigners fry near the pool)
The biggest problem is the lack of a toilet on the beach!
The hotel management needs to address this issue. and Another cabana to put one.
4. Excursions.
We took a trip on a yacht for the whole day and Dalyan at the NO Name agency.
I liked everything)) comfortable, safe, Russian-speaking guide.
Prices do not compare with anex, much cheaper
5. Animation.
There was, but I didn't participate. Went once for an evening show - nonsense as for me.
we went for a walk in the center, to the fountains, just walked along the promenade. We went shopping.
Since I’m not the first time here and I’m well oriented in the town, I felt like a fish in water))
Outcome:
I was very satisfied with the hotel and the stay in general. If these shortcomings are eliminated, there will be no price at all))
I definitely recommend the hotel to couples with children (only not quite small), young people.
It will probably be hard for older people because of the descents and ascents and the heat in mid-July and August.
Have a nice holiday everyone!
the food is insanely delicious, the chefs are professionals, there is always a large selection, everything is fresh, and sweets are generally delicious))))
200 meters from the sea, there is no private beach, at first we went to the beach of the flamingo hotel, for 3 sunbeds and 1 umbrella they took 9 bucks from us, we walked for 3 days, and then found out that there is a free beach near the golden horn hotel, there on the beach a volleyball net is stretched, of course there are no sunbeds and umbrellas, but we were lying on towels near a palm tree, so the sun didn’t get too hot
the staff at the hotel is cool, the waiters generally work like bees, at the reception they will always answer any surveys, BUT, no one speaks Russian, only they understand English,
if you want to go on excursions, don’t take it from your guides, they are very expensive, there is a tour stall opposite the golden horn hotel, ask Sussanna, she speaks Russian, hers is many times cheaper, otherwise everything is the same as the guide,
I advise everyone to take an excursion to the Turkish baths, ooh, this is a fairy tale, first you sit in the sauna, then in the pool, then in the steam room, then again in the pool, and then it starts... - you are completely doused with foam and begin to massage, the sensations are indescribable, then more procedures and finally a massage with oil, in general, go, you won’t regret it, it’s not expensive, we didn’t get to the bar street, you can’t sit with a child, we were at dancing fountains, it’s in the city center, it starts at 2100 Turkish time, cool, the fountains dance and sing, in general, in Marmaris there is something to see and there is where to go, but the nature there is generally gorgeous, they ate everywhere, and in the hotel where the tallest houses are, squirrels generally run around,
so if you are going to have a rest with children or by yourself, then you should go to this hotel, and if you drink, hang out, then I would advise another
