The hotel is located in an old building almost in the center (10 minutes from Nevsky Prospekt and Vosstaniya Square). We moved around the center mainly on foot, all the main sights in 20-30 minutes.
The room is not big, but cozy and homey. There is everything you need: a bathroom (we had a shower), hair dryer, TV, kettle. Wifi in the room worked without problems. I managed to "poke my nose")) into other rooms, each is decorated in its own style. The absence of "breech" pleases.
With food, everything worked out in the best way. Breakfasts are hearty, there is porridge, and some other dish, and they bake bread themselves, and what everyone usually eats for breakfast is cheese-butter-jam-tea-coffee . . In the evenings, they cooked dinner a couple of times in the kitchen. All crockery and utensils are provided. It is possible to order dinner for an additional fee. We took advantage and did not regret it - delicious homemade food for reasonable money.
Friendly (almost family))) relations have developed with the staff. Administrators are always ready to help. At my request, they bought and delivered a bouquet of flowers for my companion for his birthday.
We will recommend the hotel to friends and come back ourselves.

There was the last number in sale for two for 1790r.
For such a price, the photos were not bad and we booked it.
You can get to the hotel from Gostiny Dvor (2 bus stops) or walk.
You need to walk / drive to Liteiny, go along it, turn right onto Zhukovsky and on the left there will be st. Chekhov, 2
That is, from the hotel to Nevsky - 7 minutes with an average step.
It turned out to be a mini-hotel, there are only 7 or 8 rooms. It is located at the entrance of an ordinary residential building on the 3rd floor (unfortunately there is no elevator). The sign at the entrance is completely inconspicuous.
But there are pluses - the reception is open 24 hours. The ladies at the reception are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is decorated in a rustic style.
If you've ever leafed through an Ikea catalog, then the design (and many items in the room) is from there. In general, the rooms can even be called quite pretty.
Of the pluses, you can also name a kettle in the room, and even tea bags for free, a hairdryer in the bathroom, disposable shower caps, there is a large kitchen-dining room where you can pour water from a bottle into the kettle around the clock.
Printouts of excursions with prices hang at the reception (the same firms as near Gostiny Dvor). You can also ask for a free card (there were quite a few coupons with good discounts in different cafes, such as -15% in Yakitoria).
At first we were offered a double room 13, but its windows overlooked the street. Chekhov (shower in the room) and we were offered a triple room 8 for the same price, with windows to the courtyard (the room has a full bathroom and even air conditioning - it is not in all rooms).
We thought that the windows to the courtyard were a better option. But not quite - because.
During the night, the air conditioner on the house across the street was noisy.
There is also a small LCD TV on the wall in the room.
It must be borne in mind that the hotel was clearly converted from a former communal apartment, and therefore the bathrooms have Sololift-type forced water drainage systems, so it’s a bit unusual when a motor that drains water buzzes from time to time when taking a shower.
The bathroom has a battery-dryer with jokes. If you wash - it is hot. And then it cools down. So drying things is problematic. But you can give something to wash at the reception (150r for 1 bookmark).
The hotel has a rather significant minus, which turns out only at night - rather thin walls that stand on the common floor. And the floorboards under the linoleum creak quite loudly.
But overall the hotel is quite quiet.
Despite this, I didn't get much sleep.
Maybe it's the energy of an old communal apartment? )))
What else ...there is free wifi, which was important for us.
And, as I understand it, they even seem to be able to rent a laptop for a fee.
Very close to the hotel there is a round-the-clock "Coffee House" (with wifi), on Zhukovsky all sorts of cafes, canteens, a convenience store.
And at the exit to Nevsky from Liteiny - sushi "Two sticks" (without Wifi).
Breakfast is included in the room rate. And it will be done at the right time for you.
This is oatmeal (or cereal), tea, an envelope with cheese and greens, such as kutaba
a couple of pieces of cheese, butter, bread. A couple of nectarines, kiwi.
In general, in order to throw something into yourself in the morning - ok.
Another minus is check out at 11:00 am.
But theoretically, you can extend the number hourly (1 hour = 124 costs per day). We did not manage to do this - the room was already booked by someone for 12-00.
--------------------------------------
Convenience for departing in Helsinki.
------------------------------------
Nearby there is a lane. Radishcheva (see Kirochnaya street), there is a Finnish embassy and there you can buy insurance for travelers to Schengen countries with good discounts (30180 for 500 rubles in Uralsib)
Buses to Helsinki are also nearby.
They leave at 15-20 from Italian, 37 (because it is a regular one, it doesn’t stand at the border and at 22-00 it already arrives at Kamppi in Helsinki, the border passes at 19-00). It costs 1600r.
There is also evening.
They come to Italianskaya from the bus station on Obvodny Canal, 36
------------------------
Summary: a hotel, if for 1790r, it’s quite even.
For 1, maximum 2 nights.
------------------------
In "Comfort" the next day everything was booked and we moved to the hotel right next door (Chekhov, 4)
It's called a mini-hotel "Chekhov"
We liked it, much, much (! ) more.
Although it is a little more expensive - the standard price is 2400r. days and on Booking. com does not exist.
Oksana Primorskaya
I recommend using the services of this hotel.
