Bad impression about the hotel. They try to make money on everything. The staff and owners are hypocritical. They stole our things. The rooms in the photo and in reality do not match at all. We moved out of there with joy.

We asked to leave, we had to wait. We didn't like it. they didn't even bother to check what number they give. And people after a 7-hour flight, the road to the hotel, under the sun, have to wait for their room to be cleaned. We had a room with a fan under the ceiling, but there are rooms with air conditioning. Towels look dirty and dark. There is no hair dryer in the room, no jars of shampoo, soap, etc. Not even toilet paper. There was no TV in the room. The lighting is bad. Were removed badly. It happened that the cleaning lady came in and only made the bed, leaving a full basket of garbage untouched. Bed linen was not changed once in a week. Towels were changed once, and then at my request. The floor was also rarely washed. Walls, closet, table shabby. The rooms have very good audibility. The first nights I couldn't sleep at all. There is no Wi-Fi in the hotel at all, neither in the room nor at the reception. We had breakfast included. This is coffee or tea, 2 toasts, a small package (like in an airplane) of butter and the same package of jam. Everything else on the menu for an additional fee. On the last day, we were generally told that breakfast was not allowed on the day of departure. So I had to pay for this meager set. Be sure to bring or buy mosquito repellents there. They bite very hard.
PROS: The practical only plus is the proximity to the sea. The reception allows you to call (for example, a taxi driver) and charges 10 rupees for this. We had a room on the 3rd floor, you go out to the balcony, and there are palm trees with coconuts, you can directly touch the leaves. Very beautiful - tall palm trees and coconuts at the level of our balcony. It was nice to have a safe in the room. Cost 30 or 40 rupees per day. All valuables were put away in a safe.

I was there last December (2012). Quite a tiny hotel. The rooms are also small and with a minimum of equipment (built-in wardrobe, table, plastic chair and bed), but there is a shower, it worked properly. There is no food at the hotel (only morning tea with toast and an airplane jam package). There is practically nothing in the bar either, but there are many cafes-restaurants nearby, incl. and in neighboring hotels, away from the beach. In North Goa, you will not go hungry anywhere, the food is quite tasty and inexpensive everywhere.
Proximity to the beach of this hotel is its only advantage. Along the path and through the territory of a neighboring hotel or cafe 300-400 meters - and you are on the beach. The beach itself is narrower here than in Calangute (the dirtiest beach in Goa) or in Baga, the waves constantly wash away the coast and artificially strengthen it with huge sandbags. But there are fewer people. No road crossings. You can walk along the coast to the fortified fort of Portuguese times, but you will have to bypass the five-star Taj hotel along the upper road, or swim 100 meters.
Regarding peace and quiet - how lucky you are with your neighbors... God forbid, a Russian company will settle! Instead of rest, you will get a headache and a nervous tic. After all, THEY ARE RELAXING, but they don’t care about others. However, there are a lot of extraneous sounds even without them (dogs, roosters, sometimes a car happens here or to the next hotel), but this is quite tolerable.
In general, I recommend Candolim, but here is the hotel... However, do not despair, you came to RELAX and India is not the worst place for this!
