There are no more places to sit (stools without backs do not count). The double bed is two single beds pushed together, the mattresses, apparently handicraft, are a piece of foam rubber sheathed with coarse sofa fabric. The fabric has quite a hard such relief, it is felt even through the sheet. For sun-exposed skin, it is very unpleasant. It was not possible to sleep normally on these miracle beds for 2 weeks. The sheets with which they offer to hide - probably designed for children - are very small. It is generally better not to touch the towels provided. The air conditioners in the rooms are ancient windows, which some genius thought to embed directly into the wall. Noise from them - like from a vacuum cleaner. You can hear not only your air conditioner, but also all the neighbors. I don’t know what prevented the installation of split systems, especially since they are not so expensive now. There is no soundproofing at all. Of course, it would be foolish to wait for complete silence in a boarding house with small children and noisy companies, but when you lie down at night and hear a cheerful murmur - a neighbor from above, sorry, relieves himself, you already know, too much.
The bathroom is small and uncomfortable. All hangers / shelves are the cheapest Chinese. The faucet is also from Uncle Lee's cellars. He doesn't know how to mix water. Either dispenses clean boiling water or cold water. The moment of changing one water to another (five seconds) must be managed to be used to wash off the foam. The pressure of hot water is a thin stream. The shower “cabin” is a tray enclosed by a curtain on a crooked rusty piece of iron (moreover, the distance from the curtain to the edge of the tray is 10 cm, which you pull it, which is not - the water in any case will pour past the tray - onto the floor). Taking a shower and not pouring water on the entire floor in the bathroom is unrealistic. On the first day they asked - what is it? To which we were told - do not pay attention, we put a rag on the floor for you! By the way, the pallet just lies on the floor, and is not connected to the drain in any way. Under the tray is a hole into which water flows. The smell from this hole you understand what it is, and it spreads throughout the room. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, only an open window (more on that later). Constant dampness in the bathroom is a paradise for mold (seen in the photo).
We took a room with a kitchen. Not that we are lovers of cooking on vacation, just used to comfort. There is no sink in the kitchen, again probably out of economy (although there is a riser in the corner of the kitchen). You have to wash the dishes in the toy sink of the bathroom, which is completely unsuitable for this.
There is no mention of the “own beach” declared on the website. The beach is shared by everyone. Wi-Fi is formally present, but works no better than a faucet. The maximum you can check the mail, and then by finding the right place where it catches better. But we had two TVs)). Shows several channels in poor quality.
Finally, the impressions from Orchid were spoiled when shampoo and shower gel were stolen from our room (yes, this happens, it turns out). They came at lunchtime from the sea - I took a shower - tadammm, there are no two bubbles, they stood on the windowsill of that very “window for ventilation” (there is simply nowhere else to put them). Thank you for not taking baby gel and washcloth. By the way, the entire yard of Orchid is hung with cameras. I went to the front desk and explained everything. They smiled and promised to show the video from the cameras. They immediately warned that “nothing will be visible at night shooting, that the dubbing cycle is 12 hours, and in general, Yury Kakoitovich, the chief IT specialist, will arrive right now and he will look at everything. ” In general, on that day, I came up with my question three more times, the last time the answer was “Yuri Kakoitovich will not be here today, but what did you want? ” After that, I decided that my time was too valuable to spend it searching for the truth, and I gave up on this case. After this incident, they tried not to leave things on the dryer. The next day, a person from the administration came up (or maybe the owner of this institution, I still didn’t figure out who they were), asked if I would watch the video that he had already watched and didn’t see anything. I asked if he was planning to do something - in response, he shrugged his shoulders and suggested calling the police and writing a statement. Logically, in general, but I still expected a slightly different reaction from the administration. A simple apology for what happened would be fine with me. But everyone pretended that this was my personal problem. No one cares about the safety of guests at Orchid. Especially if the room is already 100% paid.
For me, housing on any vacation should do at least two things - give you the opportunity to sleep comfortably and take a shower. "Orchid" does not give this either. As a result, Orchid takes a confident last place in my personal rating of places where I have been. The desire of the owner of the boarding house to save on everything and squeeze out the maximum benefit is quite natural, but it has reached proportions that go beyond the reasonable. The price / quality ratio in this boarding house is nowhere lower. Cheap roadside hotel for the price of a decent hotel. By the way, some of the photos of the rooms on the site of the boarding house are computer graphics, we realized this already upon arrival, comparing it with reality.
During the holidays, we walked around Kanaka, because. We liked the place, we wanted to choose another hotel for the future. There is a hotel, closer to the sea, with a new excellent renovation, a full shower, orthopedic mattresses on the beds, a quiet split and a well-equipped kitchen, and for an adequate, cheaper price than Orchid. I will not write the name, so as not to look like an advertisement. Come to Kanaka, walk along the coast, compare, everything will become clear.
