In the municipality of Leikanger, they are mainly engaged in gardening (apple trees, plums, pears, etc. ), on the coat of arms of Leikanger there is a branch with apples. This area has been inhabited by people since ancient times, there are many monuments and graves of the Vikings - Bolder Hagen, 8 meters high, the highest of the monuments of those times. In July, the whole city was in flowers, especially near the fairy-tale houses there were many large-flowered rose bushes, and there were no dogs in the yards, probably the doors are still not locked here.
