We rested in May 2013, I won’t repeat reviews about the hotel abound, I’ll try to describe objectively, I liked the hotel’s cleaning, breakfasts are tolerable for 3-, not far from the sea, of the minuses, firstly, I’ll say about the well-known owner of the hotel Nikos, it looks very pleasant , friendly, on the first day he took us to Kardamena in his car, showed us where to rent transport, where is the supermarket. In short, he really doesn’t like it when you rent a car past him or don’t spend money at his bar, the attitude towards you will change immediately, I also didn’t like it during breakfast, he starts screaming at the poor girl from the servants in the canteen, we watched this for several days picture, about the sea and bags, bags are certainly good, but it’s knee-deep, I advise you not to worry right away - go to the left of 100 meters, a good sandy beach and entry into the sea. The hotel is located in a field, there are only lizards around, if you are not on wheels, I advise you to go to 5-ki, animators perform there every evening, like a show, well, you can enjoy free drinks. From entertainment in the hotel - only you and your ingenuity. Regarding excursions, we rented a scooter for 40 euros for 3 days + 10 euros for each subsequent day. On the way to Kos, we visited a Venetian castle, the ruins of the castle are located on the very top of the mountain, on the way to the castle, somewhere halfway along the way, we saw an abandoned church with frescoes on the walls (see photo) very impressive, Mr. Kos is a pretty town with a promenade, a port, ruins, columns and an amphitheater, a ferry goes to Bodrum 8 euros in both directions, there are Thermae not far from Kos, I advise you to visit, we went 2 times every other day. in general, the island is very small, you won’t have time to accelerate on a scooter - how the island ended. If you go to the terms, take carrots with you - there is a racket in the form of a small donkey at the entrance. we visited Zia several times, there are a lot of souvenirs, the sellers are mostly our compatriots, ask them how best to get to the church of paradise located on the very top of the mountain and what days the Greek evening is held, the cost is 25 euros, including food and Greek dances, for guides it costs 50. we also went to Plaka, an ordinary forest reserve, many peacocks live there in the wild and even more cats have fed with them, you will be advised to take whiskas with you, don’t take it, don’t feed these parasite cats. when descending to a clearing with peacocks, we got caught in the rain and decided to hide in a grotto, upon closer inspection we found troglodyte caves (see photo), one-room and two, there are a lot of them, the whole mountain is pitted, it is strange that tourists are not taken there. From excursions, I advise you to go to the island of Nisyros, there is a volcano and a church in a cave on the mountain, pilgrims flock there to the icon of paradise supposedly heals from infertility. it is very easy to get to the island, go to the port of Kardamena by 9.30 in the morning, boats leave for the island of Nisyros, we agreed on 10 euros per person. in both directions, on the island right in the port there is a car and scooter rental, we took a scooter for 10 euros and traveled half the island, visited two villages, very picturesque and a volcano, I won’t write anything about the volcano admit that the island of Kos is beautiful, but it cannot be compared with Nisyros, souvenirs on Nisyros are cheaper than on Kos. In general, the rest was a success, the island is very beautiful, the sea, although cool, but clean. Yes, I almost forgot for bikers - I found a shop in Kos, the Chinese sell it, a helmet covered with leatherette, with two stripes - 5 euros !! ! closed type - 10 euros. If you want to know something, please contact me.

To everyone who doubts about this hotel, I want to say, do not be afraid, the hotel is good. We lived in the main building, on the 2nd floor, the room is spacious, the bath is standard, we were very pleased with the presence of a refrigerator. Sockets are standard (no adapters needed). There is no hair dryer, I took mine, but never used it, the wind did its job well.

There is no hair dryer, I took mine, but never used it, the wind did its job well. On TV, one of our channels is the first. Condo paid 5 euros. night and a deposit of 10 euros. There are Russian-speaking girls at the reception and in the dining room. The beach and the sea are large pebbles (slippers for swimming were very useful) We took an excursion from a tour operator on three islands. . . I do not advise - expensive, boring, lunch is just awful. . . We took an excursion to the water park from private traders, cheaper by 40 euros, the child has a sea of pleasures! We rented a car for two days, drove around the entire island, climbed the mountains, went to Terme (hydrogen sulfide source). Highly recommend, amazing experience. It is better to go there in the afternoon. I really liked the beaches of Kefalos, we went to Paradise Beach (there are a lot of people on the weekend) When we got to the beaches of Marmari and Tigaki, it was very stormy, the sea was muddy with algae. It is easier and cheaper to rent a car with an international driving license (we will do it! ). The bus to Kardamena runs once an hour (schedule at the reception), costs 1.80 euros one way, there are taxis, but they often go on strike. . . In the hotel bar, a bottle of 1.5 liters of water costs 2 euros, and in the city in the Louis supermarket - 1.6 euros, packaging and so on. You can eat cheaply only in fast food (not always tasty), in taverns 35-40 euros, the average bill for three. The climate is humid, but the wind saves, the sea on our side was refreshing. The percentage of Russian-speaking vacationers is not large, so it is very difficult to find menus and inscriptions in Russian. You can write a lot, but it's better to see once than read a hundred times. . . I wish you all a great holiday!

We can say we were lucky, unlike other people living with us in the hotel. They settled very quickly (many expect to check in for 5-7 hours, they wait until they clean up after the guests), the room was good in the main building on the second floor, not very clean, but you can understand the whole hotel is cleaned by one person, a Russian-speaking woman Kira, the view from the room was a stunning pool, sea, mountains, couples who lived with us were less fortunate, the view from the window was on a wasteland where cows were grazing.

In the room, Kira cleaned every day (washed the floors, took out the trash), there was no soap or shampoo in the hotel, everyone bought it themselves, there is no hair dryer either (yes, it’s not needed very hot, the hair dries out on its own in 20 minutes) there is no TV, air conditioning 5 euros (night ) from the entertainment pool, but we didn’t swim there, the sea is nearby 5 minutes walk, the breakfasts are monotonous, cheese, ham sausage (sometimes rotten) sour cream (like yogurt) muesli tea, instant coffee Nescafe, milk, jam, butter, honey (once there was watermelon, left over from dinner), you can eat it tolerantly, I like coffee with milk and a cheese sandwich for breakfast.
The hotel has one small drawback being far from Kardamena, the nearest tourist village (5 km, 35 degree heat is far away) on foot for 40 minutes, but you can ride on a train that costs only 3 euros but rarely goes, or by bus (1.6 euros) goes to Schedule is also rare.
The beach is pebbles, stones (the beauty is that there are very few people nearby) the water is clear, clean, very salty, a lot of fish, snorkeling, the sea opens on the other side very beautifully.
The hotel is maintained by the Nikos family with his wife, their children (son, two daughters), grandmother, Kira (cleans the rooms), Leah (helps in the kitchen, also speaks Russian) and a handyman. The staff at the hotel is friendly and will help in any situation.
The meeting side of the Belion tour, the prices for excursions are doubled by an example: a trip to Niceros island-volcano costs 45 euros per person, and in Kardamena (ticket kiosks) 16 euros a boat and 7 euros a bus, they sail on the same boat the difference the whole point is that they have a transfer right away, and we had an hour to walk around Niseros (Mandraki), have a delicious lunch and calmly go to the volcano.
And this applies to all excursions, the island is very small, you can go around the whole by yourself, it’s even more interesting and informative from Kos city there is transport to anywhere in the island, Thermae, Kefalos, Zia, Mastahari, there is a car rental for about 65 euros per day (Russian rights) and 45 euros (international) scooter 14 euros 7 days (18 deposit)
A very nice island, a large village in which there is a solid siesta (everything starts working after five in the evening), and during the day they sleep. Residents are hospitable, friendly people, everyone speaks English, they will always try to understand and help you.
