So, in order: the hotel is located just 20 km from the airport, on a street overgrown with eucalyptus trees, there are supermarkets and cafes within walking distance from the hotel. The old town and the port with the famous deer are a 10-minute walk away. To the sea 5 minutes walk. Moreover, there is an opportunity to relax on the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea (both within walking distance). Fans of coolness and waves are more suitable for the Aegean Sea. For lovers of a relaxing beach holiday - the Mediterranean. It is quieter and warms up better.
As for the hotel itself, the first impression was that you are checking into a mini-boutique hotel, a small reception, a medium-sized room. The room is quite simple, you can see that it is not new, but everything is neat and clean. The maids who came every day in our absence were responsible for cleanliness, and we were always tired, with a lot of impressions, returning to our clean, comfortable room.
The food was "all inclusive", but we almost never dined, because. spent all the time on the road. Breakfasts are varied: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, just boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, meatballs, toasts, muesli, etc. Dinners were serious: a lot of meat, vegetables, side dishes, desserts.
Do not look for animation here, because. the hotel is within walking distance from the city, here it is simply not needed.
Wi-fi at the reception worked fine.
An excellent hotel for a comfortable trip and non-vegetable tourism.
The room itself is quite comfortable, there is everything you need.
Meals: all inclusive. Everything is very worthy. The restaurant itself is very small and cramped. There is not a huge abundance of dishes, but from what is, everything is very tasty and of high quality. Chefs are great! At the entrance to the restaurant, I was met by a very elderly head waiter (or hostess), who literally pulled out a card with the room number from his hands and tried to seat everyone. Why, I don't understand. We ourselves are able to see a free table and sit down. Therefore, during the rest, I got tired of the order. And thanks to these rituals, the queue itself was artificially created, because. everyone waited until the "worthy" one comes up and leads to the table.
Service: Everything is great. Everyone is very kind and polite!!!
Infrastructure: Excellent location of the hotel! Near 2 seas! Shops nearby! Near the street of bars and nightclubs! Near the Old City! Generally lived in the heart of Rhodes.
Excursions: We took 3 excursions: in the Old City and the city of Lindos ($ 110), a sightseeing tour of about. Rhodes and Kamiros $9.110), Symi Island ($50). The first 2 excursions are not worth that kind of money, you can take one (review). I advise you to swim to the island of Symi, it’s beautiful.
Seasoned recommendations:
- Take a knife and a corkscrew with you. Come in handy!
- Take your hair conditioner with you, it is not in the room!
- If you forgot something, then everything can be bought nearby!
Conclusion: Great hotel! Corresponds to 4 stars! The food is excellent! Accommodation is great! I recommend to everyone! If you asked me if I would go back there again - OF COURSE YES !!! !
We were accommodated for 2 hours, but it was not a problem, we left our things near the reception, went to the bar and drank espresso, very tasty, strange, but only my wife and I drank it, the rest were coffee. And went to get acquainted with the city. We came to the reception and apologized that the room was not ready yet, no problems - we went straight to the espresso and metax bar, it has such a taste here that it is not even suitable for us. Finally got the go-ahead and went up to the room - 6th floor, windows i. e. balcony towards the sea. There were no problems at the reception, just wonderful girls, although they don’t speak Russian, but what is Europe to do. The room is clean and tidy, everything you need is there. Cleaning was done every day, towels and bed linen were also changed every day, even strange. We thought in the last to leave it as it is, but no, too, everything has changed. There is a mini-bar for all-inclusive, but as other visitors of this hotel wrote, nothing was delivered to us there, it was effectively empty for us. But with us, all inclusive was different than the Russians. I did not understand and did not try to understand what the difference is, if it is, then it is not significant. One noticeable difference is the colored ribbons on the hands, we had them yellow, while the Russian men had blue and the women had the color of barbies, I don’t understand why the Russian people were separated. Although, as a friend of the Labyrinth company who came through the tour said, they have Ultra all inclusive....At the expense that in the bar you can ask for a large bottle of water on the beach for free, I didn’t get it, I don’t know how it is with ultra inclusive, maybe they got it maybe it's not the season yet.
Nothing was missing from the room (and even more so from the safe), they checked, left decorations, watches, and so on little things in the room, nothing was lost, this is a fact. Where you left your things, there you will find it.
So distracted - they came to the room - unpacked things, changed clothes, it turns out that they are warmer here than we are, although now it is unlikely, but these are trifles. We went down in the elevator and into the restaurant, war was war and lunch was on schedule. A costumed young man is waiting at the entrance to the restaurant, the first race explains everything in detail where, what and how, selects a table for you on which you put the card received at the reception, as in our case green and search for food. The food is wonderful, it will not work to compare with the four of Turkey. There is no soy, and what is more important to our person is pork, it is also present in various forms, stewed, fried and grilled, lunch is so weaker compared to dinner, but you need to be able to stay hungry to stay hungry. I only have one lunch menu - soup, the problem here is only one variety, but as they say, beer is also soup, the waiter will bring it from the bar, just tell me if Dmitry from Ukraine will understand, otherwise you will have to talk with others overseas. And so the drinks are different, starting with water and ending with wine, it is better than in Turkey, I didn’t order it stronger, but they will probably bring it too. We go further the second - there is a problem with the choice and the stewed beef tongue, there is always one fish dish, you can’t compare better than in Turkey. We go further rabbit in wine sauce, duck in orange and so on little things, plus on the grill - pork, chicken, beef or liver fillet, plus grilled or stewed vegetables and a side dish - pasta, rice, fried potatoes, I write and I myself want to go back to eat, there is no other way to say it. There is more for the evening, plus pizza baked in front of your eyes of three four types, mussels in shells, squids, octopuses, wonderful vegetables, pasta sauces, desserts here carefully, 6 or 7 types of cakes plus 2 types of gelatin cakes, all sorts of cookies, ice cream of 6 types, and I didn’t count a lot of syrups for them, fruits - for every taste and color. We haven't tried everything, sorry. I didn’t eat in my vow, I ask you to go to the bar, there are hamburgers, pizza Margherita, something with feta, and so on little things. What can I say about drinks - not diluted, the sea of u200bu200bcocktails - it's hard for our person, but the head in the morning - strangely does not hurt...
The beach is paid, 250 meters and the Aegean Sea, if you left the hotel, turned off the front door to the right, then at the crossroads to the left, you can see the sea there, if you don’t turn at the crossroads and go straight, we’ll go to the Mediterranean Sea. We did not take a sunbed with an umbrella, we took beach towels from the house and as in Palanga. Few people swim in the sea, but whoever swam in the Baltic Sea is nonsense, 19 - 21 degrees is only here in August it happens. And the season hasn't started yet.
As it is already clear, we lived in Rhodes, for two days and completely got used to it, but at first you go and don’t know where you will get out, at the end of your stay at the crossroads I saw two hot Finnish guys with a map in their hands and laughed, oh it will be hard for them, it’s like in Russia, streets, lanes, nooks and crannies, dead ends, etc. a crossroads and 6 streets come out of it - a familiar picture... and another catch is the names of the streets only at the beginning of the street and at the end... in a word, an urban forest, not a jungle - little Rhodes, therefore not a jungle.
The island itself is wonderful, there are many interesting places that you can reach on foot - there is a lot about it on the Internet, I won’t, but the Old Town, as without it, you won’t get off in one day, it will take as many as three or even more, and the night city is like you have to talk yourself. And so who needs it and can afford it, who can bike, who can scooters and who has a car, you can rent it in a hotel, you can search in the city, so the price was 25 euros per day with full insurance and don’t forget to leave home grab a navigator, so maps are issued with a car, but the navigator is also a navigator in Africa, you didn’t have to ask and stop... otherwise the program is great for visiting - starting with the beaches, there are a lot of them on the side of the Mediterranean coast and you want to visit everything - swim, kiss the Prasonisi seas it’s more like noise for a tourist, otherwise it’s nothing like that, but for windsurfers this is everything, paradise, there are few beaches towards the Aegean Sea....Further churches and monasteries cannot be counted here, there are still castles and fortresses and so on for tourists the valley of butterflies, the valley of the family of streams and the like... about Lindos, what can I say, you really have to see it yourself - a fairy tale... on the way to Monolithos, before reaching the village of Siana, we stop and try their bag of moonshine - a cool thing, but more damn expensive. So you can’t get to Monolithos as a pillar and they sell it, and if they sell it, then they give it a try. I won’t say anything about wine, delicious and where to try and where to buy is a personal matter for everyone. We bought in super markets, from the airport only Carrefour, and from Lindos and Lidl, Carrefour and the local one, in a word, go for it.
I can’t retell everything, I recommend the hotel, and to my words, the season has not begun, but it is full. As they talked with the waiter Dima, he said that it was filled like in August, this is something to say about the hotel. Of course it needs a refurbishment, but the rooms are without a hitch, the restaurant and bar needs a makeover, suitable for any age group. The fact that there is no animation is even better, there are national dances and karaoke 2 times a week, and freedom on other days. Dancing is worth a try, but not so much with karaoke, for young people there are a lot of clubs, bars - the street of bars is very close to the hotel 5 minutes. maximum to it.
There are few Russians, there were about 15 people with us, mostly English, Germans and Dutch.
It was not very possible to tell while everything is seething - but it was great.....
We didn’t take excursions, because for a week we walked through the streets, into the old city a couple of times for souvenirs and I definitely advise you to go to Rodini Park. It is small, but so cozy, peacocks walk, you will see ducks, turtles, waterfalls (it's absolutely free).
So in general I can say that I did not regret choosing this hotel, but I would not return there again.
