but we went "to the sea". Not the sea, of course, but the ocean: big, wavy and clean. We also liked the town in which the hotel is located: nice, pleasant, mountainous in places, but there are also gentle promenades along the sea. There are many restaurants and cafes with the most varied menu for those who want to try different cuisines on vacation. We combined cooking in the apartment with going to restaurants. Same budget as all-inclusive, but much more variety. I especially liked the fish restaurant in the nearby fishing village of Playa San Juan: inexpensive and sooooo tasty. In general, the hotel is a big five with a plus (for its three-star level).
Separately, I want to talk about excursions and tour representatives. We are an inquisitive people, we love to combine a beach holiday with an educational one.
We “survey” the surroundings in different ways: sometimes we use bus excursions (does the driver need to rest sometime? ), And sometimes we rent a car. On this particular trip, we were outraged by the pressure and misinformation from the tour representative !!! ! Why don’t they say that we immediately take everything from them and at exorbitant prices . . That only they can take excursions in Russian (this is not true: and in you can buy a reception desk, and at a tour desk near the beach), that you can’t rent a car with a Russian license (also not true, there is only a restriction for novice drivers), that if you don’t buy excursions from them right away, then there will be no places (and this turned out to be false : there are many excursion companies and a sufficient number of buses. There are some excursions that come only once or twice a week. If you are going just for a week, then of course it is better to book them in advance, but for a sightseeing tour, for example, or to La Gomera, it was great the choice of days, you can distribute calmly both money and time, and not buy in a hurry a pig in a poke).
As a result, we took excursions to the bureau near the beach, where everything was explained to us in detail, colorfully and, most importantly, with a good knowledge of the area, which is very useful, and sometimes necessary.
We went to the survey with a visit to the Mask (indescribable beauty), to Loro Park, to Siam Park, "for whales and dolphins" on a pirate ship.
They thought and considered for a long time about the well-known flamenco from Carmen Mota, but they chose a jousting tournament (which, of course, they did not regret: a fun entertainment and an evening in a completely medieval style).... In general, we traveled well, but there is a lot to see, we will have to go again! : )
