Again and again you have to bargain. Even when calculating, they fool again and do not give the rest. They completely spoiled the mood and discouraged the desire to use the service. In fact, we were left without a subscription of $20, (we wanted it together with our daughter) because this "diving center", and Mustafa personally, do not fulfill their promises, but only fool about the price and spoil your nerves. The hotel is dominated by mosquitoes. They somehow self-generate in the room (just kidding). But with the door and window closed, we killed 37 Mosquitoes. And in the morning a fly appeared out of nowhere. She woke us up. Vacationers, take a fumigator on vacation!!!
What is very unpleasant is the lack of sun loungers on the beach under umbrellas. We were on vacation with small children and needed some shade under an umbrella. That is, no matter what time you arrive at the beach, the entire first line of sunbeds under umbrellas and the second are occupied. At the same time, the staff is friendly and offers to lie down in the sun.
So, you come to the beach at 7:30, everything is occupied either with things or with towels. It is clear that since the evening. Yeah, we think, since someone is so smart, we’ll do it too! They occupied it in the evening and put some minor things on the sunbeds. When we arrive, someone has removed our things. Someone is lying in these places.
We found things from the guy who hands out towels. Yeah, we think it’s possible. We arrive at the beach in the morning. There are sunbeds under an umbrella with some things. We call the beach workers. I say: we want to lie down in these places, take your things. Answer: We are not allowed to touch things. That is, for some it is possible to touch things (we suspect that for money), but for others it is impossible.
Thus, absolutely every morning turned into irritation because people took the sunbeds in the evening, and there was simply no opportunity to lie down with a child in the shade on the first or second line!
Hotel owners! Pay attention to this point. Let the beach workers simply not allow anyone to occupy the sunbeds in the evening.
Let it be fair - whoever came first gets the sunbed.
Because the thought arises that for money someone can borrow a sunbed under an umbrella, but otherwise, lie around in the sun.
Or add umbrellas. There are enough sunbeds all over the beach.
We consider the holiday partially spoiled, despite the many advantages of the hotel.
For example, in another hotel, a separate waiter always approached us and took an order for drinks, here it’s quite possible to stay without them if you don’t catch and ask! In the end, we just took dessert and went to the reception bar above the restaurant and drank coffee there. The restaurant is quite noisy, lots of kids and loud talking subjects! (((( The Internet is everywhere, but it often turns off and you need to re-enter! The rooms and furniture are a little tired. There are not enough sunbeds on the beach, but we had our own pool in front of the room, and our sunbeds with an umbrella on the lawn. A big plus of the hotel are three types the beach on the left is deep on the sand, there were waves in the wind, which, however, did not prevent anyone from swimming there! In the center of the beach there was a reef with fish, on the right the lagoon was very shallow and with corrals. In the afternoon there was a low tide and the bottom could be bare. to ride a kite - in the morning, as a rule, it was a good blow.
There is also a diving center in the hotel (a shed on the left and a windsurf club there. One Arab, his name is Mukhamed, is engaged in windsurfing there. The rest mostly drink coffee, tea and sometimes try to trick you into diving! )))) Mukhamed is a sympathetic, sociable and kind guy. As a rule, at 7 in the morning, if there is wind, he is already on the beach teaching tourists how to windsurf! He always helped me with the kite. There is also a girl translator at the reception, Ekaterina, who is also a very responsive and diligent girl. Always ready to help with any questions! Of the advantages of the hotel, I would add the ability to run and walk along the sea along all the coastline hotels - there is a single walking path - exit the beach to the left, you can ignore all local guards in all hotels. You go 7 kilometers to the hotels, we open the gates if they are closed, we do not touch the half-asleep security guards with our hands! In principle, I even went out on a kite even into the neighboring lagoon between the pontoons.
It was a lot of fun for me to run a guard of an empty beach and bitterly shouted that it was impossible and private property! Although in principle, by law, you can use the sea and the beach everywhere! He was hurt and sad that he could not go into the water! ))) Well, now about the sad - unfortunately Egypt is always like this - everything seems to be good, but in the end they manage to spoil everything! They themselves are bargaining, naming the initially incredibly high price, then they are offended when they are overtraded! We left the hotel at 4 in the morning at the reception bar and asked for coffee, the bartender said that he did not work and the coffee was paid! Then waddle slowly all the same gave out a cup of coffee! They took the same thing with the luggage from the room, but load it on the bus yourself, the bus driver with a clearly dissatisfied face - they forced him to work in the morning! )))) Well, this is Egypt, and so here in everything! The airport is a separate issue!
The hotel is a little shabby, but the norm, food, service is also ok. For $10/day you can get a sea view, for $20 - a taxi to the old town.
Cool nature. For children, a sandy beach in the sea, a warm pool, a small reef, but enough for underwater research, the animation is chatty.
Upon returning, the tour operator said that there are no tours in the hotel without a Russian (or with min kil-tyu). You need to consider whether you are ready for the Bashkortostans and other peoples nearby on the beach
Settlement passed quickly, not without a symbolic surcharge, but the number was chosen by yourself. Everything worked in the room, daily cleaning, sometimes with swans from towels. Cosmetics, water, napkins - updated every day.
The food is top notch as always. Breakfast - standard for Egypt - omelettes, pancakes, croissants, milk porridge, puddings, various cheeses and cottage cheese. Lunch - two types of soup, beef, chicken, fried fish, seafood. For dinner - pasta, baked whole turkey, or beef, or tuna, side dishes - a variety. Large selection of cold appetizers, vegetables and fruits. I will especially note pastries, both European and Arabic - even men were happy to pick them up. The waiters are attentive, serve quickly, at your request they will bring drinks, both alcoholic (local production) and various juices.
The territory is still green, clean and well-groomed, for which it is necessary to note the tireless workers who cut, weed and water all this beauty all the time.
The special value of the hotel is the beach. There are enough sunbeds, protective screens from the wind too. Nice beach bar with the best coffee in the hotel. Beechboy always helped with the screens, moved the sun loungers at our request. By the way, this time I paid attention to the accurate work of the rescuers - people swam even with a red flag, and they were constantly at the water's edge, especially close to mothers with children.
The animation is excellent, on the beach, vacationers were constantly occupied with various activities and competitions. In the evening, the pianist plays and sings in the lobby at the reception.
Wi-FI in the hotel is good, both in the rooms and on the beach, so you don't have to buy a local card.
The contingent in the hotel is very different - the British, Italians, Germans, Poles, Balts, Ukrainians, many Egyptians and Arabs.
In general, the rest was excellent, for which thanks to all the employees - Ole's gestrelation, managers of the SPA salon, waiters. Even despite the repair in two buildings, we did not experience any discomfort, just as we did not hear construction noise.

Barcelo Tiran does not fit the format of a 5-star hotel. Alas, it's true.
We stayed in room 1209. The furniture and fixtures are very old and not only look untidy - dirty balcony panels, loose fittings and a half-clogged rain net in the shower (you can continue to list more and more), but some items have dangerous defects that have caused skin injury our hands - chips on the tiles, rust on the balcony handrail, broken plastic weaving on the chair ...And the iron, which was not in the room and was brought at our request, simply shocked us!
The lower part of this household appliance dangled from the wires...But they brought it to us, held it in their hands and did not see that it was dangerous to use such a thing? ! See the photo if you don't believe this is real. The story with the iron had a continuation. The second iron left in our room was not working. Okay, it happens. They asked to be replaced. The third iron again did not please - the light signaled the inclusion, but there was no heating. And only the fourth iron allowed us to bring the clothes into proper shape.
If you know how to fall asleep to the noise of passing vehicles and the continuous hum (we decided that this noise comes from the ventilation system, but something else might be buzzing) is not a hindrance to you, then you will be pleased with the rooms in the first building. For us it turned out to be very unpleasant - 14 nights without sleep. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the room, and at night, as you know, the perception of noise is even more enhanced.
The air conditioner is not only very noisy, it also practically does not cool the air, but I wanted to be cool in the room. Not fate, they went out to the site and looked for shady places.
We were not given any schemes-plans of the hotel site upon check-in, sort it out yourself as best you can. They issued the concept of the hotel for guests fA4, but there was not enough paint in the photocopier for the entire text, so we guessed from individual letters that we were talking about the best traditions of Egyptian hospitality. In fact - disrespect for their guests. The instructions for using the safe are also printed very poorly, with barely readable text, and even outdated - the model of the safe in the room does not match the description in the instructions, and only the employee called for help will show you how to handle the safe.
For the first time in 6 visits to the resort, we watched the hotel staff on the beach "book" sunbeds, covering them with towels, and then offer guests for a fee. Usually ill-mannered tourists take towels or personal belongings, and employees take measures to prevent this from happening. In Barcelo, judging by previous reviews and personal observations, this is the norm.
A playground is definitely not a place for children to relax, but a place that children need to avoid. Honestly, I don’t understand how it is possible to allow the use of equipment for children if there are protruding nails, screws, rotten fencing elements, long-peeling paint, handrails with chipped wood ...There is no excuse for this.
These and other disappointments at the Barcelo are all the more annoying as the hotel has so much good to offer. The most valuable thing is people.
Many with whom we communicated from the staff were pleasant and correct in communication, conscientious employees in their work. Our room was put in order by Ahmed - he always washed and cleaned with high quality, he was always interested in whether everything was enough, he always responded to requests. In the La Brisa restaurant, we were served by the waiter Rabia - he immediately remembered our preferences, worked quickly, and not only in serving us, but also other guests, he is good at communicating with both adults and children. Food at the hotel, basically, I liked it, some dishes very, very much. We especially liked sweets, we have not seen such delicious pastries either in Nubian, or in Iberotel, or in Albatros. Focaccia, kunafa, basbousa, sambusek, tahina, coconut milk - we got to know this for the first time, thanks to the Barcelo chefs. Seafood on the menu is constantly in different cooking options. Fresh vegetables of good quality, there are pickled ones, as well as sauces, seasonings, oils - for every taste.
On the issuance of a cook, they never refuse an additive. If something runs out, they quickly bring new portions of dishes. The portions are small, but the tables always look neat, as if they had just been served. Chefs prepare a few blanks in advance so that the very first visitors do not have to wait until they are ready - come by 7 in the morning and everything is ready, except that scrambled eggs are made to order, taking into account the wishes of the guests. On the beach at Barracuda, they cook the most delicious french fries, good and fresh buns with chicken shawarma. In bars, cocktails are prepared beautifully, tasty, and varied, and there has never been a refusal due to the lack of components. In the evenings, during the entertainment on the beach, the El Bonito bar served guests. All in all, Barcelo's restaurants and bars are the strength of the hotel.
WiFi in Barcelo allows you to communicate with the Motherland even from the room, even from the beach, even in the morning, even in the afternoon, even in the evening - the signal level and speed are quite good.
The entertainment program was standard, almost like in all hotels. Sunbeds on the beach are taken very early and throw things for the whole day, but you can always find free ones from far away. The pools are clean, it’s nice to swim, but in some places the coating along the bottom has peeled off when you get up, you cling to it all the time. A small but cozy gym, during the day there were surprisingly many people working out. I liked burgers and fries at the beach bar, there was a queue for fast food from time to time. From what I categorically did not like: all drinks in the restaurant can be ordered only through the waiter, it is inconvenient, long, it is not clear why everything is so complicated at all. If you give a dollar every day, they will serve you quickly, they will always find a free table and chilled drinks. From hot dishes, everything is given out behind glass, they are served in small portions, if you ask, they add it without problems, the minus is that you cannot choose the piece you like.
In general, the staff is friendly, but most, to put it mildly, are rude, especially the bartenders, you need to be prepared for this. At a bar without a tip, you can't wait for a good relationship. Alcohol is poured into small plastic cups, including beer, despite the fact that you repeat several times that you will drink here, not with you. There are shops on the territory of the hotel, but we went to the nearest market, when leaving the hotel, to the left and on foot 800 meters. Also, minibuses constantly go from the hotel, they always want to give a lift, they honk, if they wish, they will stop anywhere. We had an early departure, without prior arrangements we were given breakfast in lunch boxes with us. In general, the hotel is quite good, the beach with its wonderful entrance and unique sunsets conquers and because of it you want to come back here more than once.
