We were checked into line 1 at Charm Plaza; there were about 40 tourists in the entire hotel. We put on the bracelets at 10 o’clock and were given a room almost immediately. You can see the former greatness in everything, but now it’s in a state of disrepair. The area is large, the remains of a beautiful garden. The beach bar is open and there is a lunchtime hamburger and fries. It seems that this is the most normal food))) The dining room seems to have an assortment, but still nothing. Sometimes salty, sometimes raw, sometimes hard. Sweets are normal. We weren't hungry. There is animation during the day, such as guess the melody and dancing in the evening. It is located far from civilization, only a taxi is expensive or it’s half an hour’s walk to the road through the desert. We installed a taxi app and it helped. The furniture and walls are shabby. There was cleaning, swans from towels for tips. The staff is polite.
The alcohol is diluted, the beer is normal. The pools are not heated.
In short, a sad, neglected place with a good reef. But for this price it's good.
3 days was enough)))
In short. Huge queues everywhere, you need to get literally everything in these queues - plates, forks, food, napkins, water. Begging for shampoo, borrowing a sunbed on the beach at 6 am, etc. All this in unsanitary conditions. The staff is irritated and unfriendly. There were even fights between staff and tourists, appeals to the police and repeated complaints from the hotel management.
The only plus of these hotels is a magnificent reef and a windless bay, in fact, what people go to Egypt for, especially in winter.
The hotel greeted us with friendly smiles - customer focus on 5+, everyone is friendly, even gardeners raise their heads and "good morning)". Arrived at the hotel at 7 am, left things at the reception, changed clothes and continue to get acquainted with the sea and local landscapes. Time flew by unnoticed, at 12.30 we were put on pink bracelets and invited to dinner, and around 13.30 we received the keys to the room.
Our Resort (9th building) is part of the Charm Plaza 5 * and is located 3 minutes from the main building - the reception and on the 2nd floor of the restaurant "La Veranda". The hotel itself is located perpendicular to the sea and has 9 buildings - starting from the bottom and counting about 650 rooms. The description of the hotel clearly and without exaggeration states that the last renovation was in 2009, but the room is neat, everything works, there is a regular TV (2 Ukr.
channels), hair dryer, air conditioning, it is clear that employees maintain everything in proper condition for their respectable age. Our room was cleaned every day and every time we had a pleasant surprise in the form of swans, pigeons, elephants).
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - the Red Sea - incredible, fish - I can not describe! This is a must see !!!
At home, we bought full-face masks for snorkeling (diving is prohibited) according to reviews and were very pleased.
I liked the kitchen, everything is delicious, no one will stay hungry here, it is clear that the chefs tried to cook and decorate deliciously.
Arrived in the cold and wet Ukraine 100% satisfied, rested and soul and body, ready with new double strength and inspiration to work)
Many thanks to Tatiana from the Recreation Studio for organizing and patience to answer all questions, the company Join Up for organizing the meeting and timely departure from the country, and of course the host hotel Charm Plaza, we recommend you!
Goodbye Egypt, we'll be back)
