Hotels in the suburbs were offered. Cheaper. (In Sweden, accommodation mainly affects the cost of the trip). But, if you are not taken by bus in the morning for excursions, and you drive on your own, it is not an option not in the center.
Scandic Sergel Plaza: no balconies, no special area except for the courtyard, a large building with many rooms, not far from the Arlando Aeroexpress station, at the beginning of the pedestrian streets. Not huge but quite spacious rooms with comfortable beds, large windows, Scandinavian practical.
Of the significant advantages, in addition to the location, I will note breakfasts that you will not find - with such a variety of dishes, from herring to whipped cream with pancakes - in hotels in southern Europe. And a luggage room, arranged in order to calmly hand over things there at 12 o'clock and hang out in the city before the train.

City hotel in the center of Stockholm, walking distance to the old town, tram to the museums. Large hotel with tourists of all possible nationalities. This is especially evident at breakfasts. There are a lot of people, there is enough space for everyone. Rooms are okay, not small, with comfortable beds, large windows. Were part of the "Weekend in Stockholm" Labyrinth tour, a good value option for a 4-day trip, this hotel was the most comfortable on offer, although and not the cheapest.

Were on New Year's Eve at the Scandic Sergeel Plaza hotel in Stockholm. We paid everything in advance back in September. When we arrived at the hotel, we had to wait until there was a clean room....when we lived, we didn’t like the maids who could enter the room at any time (fortunately, we were mostly not walking around the city), somehow they came and found that our things were shifted to other places and the towels were hung up so we could not understand whose where? We paid for the New Year's Eve dinner at 72 euros per person through the Tallink Silya office....at dinner we waited more than half an hour when they brought food to us... after they waited for them to make sure that dinner was paid for in advance... and after arrival at Peter was billed for drinks that supposedly were not included in the New Year's Eve dinner, which of course we did not know....the question is why was it not billed at check-out or warn us at the dinner itself that drinks are chargeable ??? ? Not to mention the fact that the hotel itself is located so that it can not be found (between the houses) and it has been an understatement for more than one year : )))) So if you want to spoil your mood - stay at the Sergel Plaza hotel in Stockholm !!! !

Quite a large hotel, 500 rooms, but you don’t feel it at all. When you check in, you will be given a plastic card, this is the key to the room and the elevator (! ). a good breakfast (buffet), at the reception you can buy a sightseeing tour (in Russian), a Stockholm card, tickets. There is a shop in the lobby: coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, chocolate, magazines, all the necessary little things. … More ▾ Quite a large hotel, 500 rooms, but you don’t feel it at all. Restaurant, bar open until late. The staff speaks excellent English (however, like almost everyone in Stockholm). On the top floor there is a fitness center, a sauna - they did not use it. TV - there is 1 Russian channel RTR-Planet. There is a minibar, an ironing press.
Some nuances: out of 4 windows in the room, one window opens. The entire hotel is non-smoking, but there is a special. smoking areas, as well as a courtyard, there are benches and a fountain. The hotel is not new, built in the 80s, but everything is clean, tidy, renovated.
A variety of people lived in the hotel: travelers, businessmen, and tour groups.
