Another trip to Europe brought another wave of positive emotions. A ticket to the hotel cost us a ridiculous 776 euros compared to the service received and the quality of the rest.
OPERATOR. Flew from Coral (Windrose as carrier). A significant disadvantage was the inconvenient departure time both there and back. The flight there was at 16:00, so we arrived at the hotel late in the evening (and we missed dinner and a rest day), the plane took us back to Boryspil at 02:45 at night. There are no complaints about the operator: they fed us on the plane, they didn’t lose them at the airport, they delivered them to the hotel. It is obvious that there is a tension with the guides, no one escorted us to the hotel, they left only the driver, who did not speak Russian. The meeting with the guide the next morning took place under the slogan “I don’t know anything about, so it’s better to buy excursions from me”, for the first time the information meeting turned out to be with a zero level of information.
After such a meeting, the desire to contact further disappeared, although there was no need.
HOTEL. Really far from the airport, about two hours drive. The road is tiring, zigzags, sharp lists and climbs, many roundabouts - it can make you sick. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Calle de Mallorca. Although it is rather difficult to call it a city: several streets with villas for rent and accommodation of locals and a dozen hotels. The hotel building is old, but the view is very cheerful, the inside is qualitatively renovated, so there is nothing to complain about. Upon arrival, they wanted to have time for dinner, but it ended at 21:00. But from 21:30, the snack area is open in the restaurant, where you can easily find part of the dinner menu and light snacks (chips, for example, almost daily), so you won’t go hungry. We lived on the 4th floor. The building has two elevators, but the hype for them is quite large, so they went up to the room and went down mostly with their feet.
The hotel is not designed for Russians, although about 30% of tourists are Russian-speaking, the bulk of tourists in the hotel are Germans, French and British. That is why the quality of service is at a high enough level. The hotel reception cheerfully answers in English, there is also a girl who understands Russian tolerably and speaks it in an accessible way.
The balcony of the room overlooked the pool and the stage, where until 23:00 daily loud show programs, and then almost until the morning gatherings with screams. However, contrary to expectations, the soundproofing of double-glazed windows and fresh sea air during the day had a beneficial effect on sleep, and we could sleep at any time of the day without any disturbance from the street. Somewhere we met that you should definitely ask for a room with access to the pool, because on the other side the balconies overlook the highway with busy traffic. So: there is no busy traffic there, and if there is, then it is quite quiet.
So don’t worry about choosing a room: it’s comfortable everywhere (well, maybe the view is not so hot).
ROOM. Good and cozy. There is no minibar in the room (it can be ordered separately at the reception, for money, of course), a small ceiling-mounted TV broadcasts only a few local Spanish channels and English-language BBC and CBNN. At first, the lack of air conditioning was embarrassing - instead of it, a ceiling fan hangs. However, later it became clear that, thanks to the dry climate, air conditioning is really not needed. At least they never needed it. The amenities in the room are excellent: a bath, round-the-clock hot water with excellent pressure, there are no problems with sewerage and plumbing. Upon checking in, the bathroom contained two small bars of soap and two packets of disposable shampoo. So take everything with you. At least enough toilet paper.
The room was cleaned daily.
The cleaning schedule is very convenient: we went for a walk in the morning, and returning at 12 noon, we found the room clean. Towels were changed several times during the week, sheets were changed once. The 1 euro coin left as a tip was ignored, so don't bother with the tip. Most likely, it is strictly forbidden for the staff to take money from the room. By the way, there are no beach towels in the hotel - keep this in mind.
NUTRITION. Just a separate topic on which I would like to dwell in more detail. Last year we flew to Greece for a holiday and I thought I saw the most you can get from All Inclusive. But no, not the maximum. In Canarios they are fed and watered for slaughter.
For breakfast, you can safely expect eggs (unexpectedly, right?? ) boiled, fried, yolk porridge. Sausages, two or three types of sausage, cheese.
Several types of dry cereal with milk, vegetables, always access to a restaurant at any time - french fries, two types of liquid yogurt are a must. For tomorrow, daily dried fruits: raisins, dates, prunes, figs. Be sure to bananas, plums, peaches, pears and apples. Tea and coffee from coffee machines, three types of juice from concentrates, a filling machine for carbonated drinks (7UP, Pepsi), two types of table wine (white, arvsnoe), water. A lot of confectionery: cakes, pies, cakes, cookies, waffles, muffins, sweets ...
For lunch and dinner soup, and always very tasty. Two or three types of meat, be sure to have fish and seafood for dinner (there were shrimps, crabs, and mussels). For dinner, two or three types of pasta, 5 or 6 types of sauce, potatoes in all interpretations. Pizza every evening. For lunch and dinner, the fruit table is complemented by watermelons and melons.
The bar is open all day long, where you can drink anything that comes into your head: from champagne, a bottle of which will be opened for you at the first request, and standard beer to a bunch of low-alcohol cocktails with hard-to-pronounce names. Pour heartily into plastic glasses with a capacity of at least 350 ml (can you imagine 350 grams of champagne or Baileys ?? ). Good-natured people work at the bar without the slightest hint of anger or fatigue, as can be found in the resorts of Turkey or Egypt. Nobody knows Russian.
In the bar and in the restaurant, a refrigerator with ice cream is open all day, the bar also has machines for packing ice cream in a waffle cone and pouring ice juices.
BEACHES AND ENTERTAINMENT. That's what the hotel was not lucky with, like the top ten hotels in the area, so it's with the beach.
The rocky terrain allows you to place beaches only in separate bays, which are not very numerous, and they are all quite small. Therefore, by 11 am you begin to experience a shortage of free space on the beach. Not far from the hotel there is a great bay, where you can easily walk for 5-10 minutes. Two roads lead there at once, but they are not designed, for example, for mothers with strollers. One road is dead, and the second is replete with narrow steps without railings and, again, lack of coverage. Therefore, advanced vacationers try to get closer to Cala Murada, to the beach, where the hotel provides a free shuttle every 10 minutes in an 8-seater minibus. The beach there is really better and cleaner, however, in addition to the settlers from local hotels, local residents also go there to relax, so there is not enough space there.
The sea is clean, turquoise, transparent at any depth.
By the way, jellyfish attacks were recorded on the beach closer to the hotel, which leave burns on the skin. Therefore, be extremely vigilant and be friends only with transparent jellyfish, all the rest with stripes and edging sting mercilessly.
By the way, the majority of Russian-speaking tourists rest on the beaches, Europeans prefer to relax by the pools, of which there are two in the hotel at once. And both with bars and related service. On the "far" beach (it is located across the road from the main entrance to the hotel) there is also an active recreation area: volleyball and football fields, ping-pong tables and a tennis court. By the way, there is a golf course behind the hotel (that's something you didn't expect to meet there). There are a sufficient number of sun loungers around the pools, but I think that in the high season there will not be enough for everyone.
Animation in the hotel is. There are enough people for sports events and for an evening show with the obligatory draw of the bingo lottery.
The hotel has a kids club where you can take your child, as in a kindergarten.
THE INTERNET. Tolerably catches the free Wi-Fi network Canarios_Free in the reception area. Although you can buy access to the network, which catches perfectly even in the room. It will cost 3 euros per day or 9 euros for 4 days. In general, in terms of free networks, it's sad. Only Palma Airport has a network that will give you 15 minutes of access.
CONCLUSION. The hotel is wonderfully suited to the needs of the consumer with any request, except "I want a beautiful and huge beach. " The food is top notch as is the service in general. Highly recommend for relaxation: tested on yourself!
