Chose Gaspra because of the sights. I liked the hotel because it has a swimming pool, maybe 3 meals a day (buffet, but order in advance), a playground and animators. For adults, a bar, a projector, a girl cooks delicious pizza for you, you liked it, inexpensively. Jacuzzi is free. Animation and activities for children (often a disco 21 to 22) and aqua aerobics, gymnastics all day long, a little pool and jacuzzi until 22, though a break from 14-16, for a quiet hour and lunch.

Room PK 2 rooms, chests of drawers, wardrobes, and a large balcony, sea and mountain views. Very satisfied with the room, cleaning daily, not only taking out the garbage, towels change at will, put on the floor. Sockets near bedside tables, convenient, not everywhere it happens. But the minus is how you get out of the room, the electricity is turned off, do not leave anything on the charger, and there is only one magnetic card (if you really ask, they can magnetize the second one).
The view on the server is not bad, but there are utility rooms and a trash can.
Minus the place, there are no sidewalks, it is dangerous to walk to the neighboring wonderful parks, and the entrance to them is mostly paid, the elevator and the cable car too, that is, for a family, a simple walk will cost money.

We stayed at the hotel from 4 to 10 September 2016. The overall impression of the boarding house was positive. We purchased a ticket not to the main building, but to a 3-storey cottage located on the territory, which, in my opinion, was a huge plus: spacious two-window double room, a balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea (it stands a little sideways to the sea, so from any room the view opens both there and there), large double bed, TV, Wi Fi, hot-cold water, shower, if necessary they can provide a cot for a third or a child (by the way, there were many vacationers with children), daily cleaning, on the ground floor a kitchen with a refrigerator, kettles, a microwave, for those who rest without food, or you can make tea in the evening, or after the tour you didn’t have time to eat, air conditioning, safe, clothes dryer on the balcony, as well as a table and chairs, in the evening you can drink wine looking at the sea sunset, safe.

The overall impression of the boarding house was positive.
We purchased a ticket not to the main building, but to a 3-storey cottage located on the territory, which, in my opinion, was a huge plus:
spacious two-window double room, a balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea (it stands a little sideways to the sea, so from any room the view opens both there and there), large double bed, TV, Wi Fi, hot-cold water, shower, if necessary they can provide a cot for a third or a child (by the way, there were many vacationers with children), daily cleaning, on the ground floor a kitchen with a refrigerator, kettles, a microwave, for those who rest without food, or you can make tea in the evening, or after the tour you didn’t have time to eat, air conditioning, safe, clothes dryer on the balcony, as well as a table and chairs, in the evening you can drink wine looking at the sea sunset, safe.
One minus - very steep and narrow steps... (subjectively)
Food: excellent. Buffet, a good selection of dishes, something different every day, they cook deliciously, friendly girls at the distribution, you can eat both indoors and outdoors - from the dining room there is an exit to the street, where wooden gazebos are equipped with sea views, and an artificial fish pond.
Service: friendly staff, respond quickly enough to requests (locked the safe and could not open it, after contacting the reception, the employee appeared in the room after 6-8 minutes), the cleaners were polite, helpful. One minus - one girl at the reception was either tired or new, but for a long time she could not answer some questions, and answered with such a look, like fuck you all off me... But this is rather an exception.
The boarding house has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, bus to the beach and back (free of charge), sauna, billiards, barbecue area (extra charge). A bunch of sightseeing tours and routes, they give out all schedules with prices
.
The boarding house is located quite conveniently: next to the minibus stop, i. e. you can go to Yalta yourself without a car, and somewhere else, and you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. It's harder uphill - still uphill. But you can return by bus, elevator or a small cable car (100 rubles per person). The beach is pebbly, the pebbles are small, very comfortable, the sea is clean enough, the beaches are cleaned, there are cafes right next to the beaches. Smokers and drinkers are driven from the beach: places are specially equipped for smokers, drinkers go to open cafes. There are breakwaters from which you can jump perfectly (although each says that jumping is prohibited : ) )
In general - I highly recommend it.

We chose this hostel purely by chance. and really liked it. The view from the room is absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is bad. Conveniently located, next to a bus stop and various shops. A road passes by almost under the windows, but no cars are heard. We got a good number. Everything in the room worked.

The view from the room is absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is bad. Conveniently located, next to a bus stop and various shops. A road passes by almost under the windows, but no cars are heard. We got a good number. Everything in the room worked. There were two beds. We moved them together.
The cafe on the first floor Silver really liked. Vksuno is being prepared. Buffet. The staff is friendly. And there are cool fish in the pond.
To use the beach. Ukraine (homeland). small pebble. The bus goes to the beach 6 times. We rarely used the bus. They went down by themselves, and took the elevator to the dignity. Ukraine and 5-7 minutes on the way to the hotel to go.
Wifi only at the reception. For us it was not a problem. We didn't use it.
The pool is beautiful in the evening - illuminated. But we didn't swim. The sea is there.
Enjoyed the jacuzzi, there the water is warm, cool. There are a lot of people in the Jacuzzi during the day. less in the evening. it is designed for 6 people.
Souvenirs are sold on the first floor. The prices are normal. Not very expensive. But there are also cheaper places - it's on Ai Petri and in the store, which is located right on the road behind the San Ukraine, about three minutes to go further along the road past the sanatorium.
The hotel area is small. There is a good playground and parking for cars.
The hotel also has a library with a computer and books.

Gorgeous view from the balcony. I really liked the restaurant "Silver", everything is very tasty. Responsive and friendly staff. Great place for a family with children. Recommend!

It so happened that my young man has already written a review on our vacation, but since we are still different people, our impressions are similar in some ways, but different in some ways. In general - if meals were not included in the bill, a great place to stop to travel on excursions. And now in more detail.

It so happened that my young man has already written a review on our vacation, but since we are still different people, our impressions are similar in some ways, but different in some ways.
In general - if meals were not included in the bill, a great place to stop to travel on excursions. And now in more detail.
Location. The hotel is excellent. Everything is very very close - bus stop, pharmacies, cafes, several shops, a mini market, guides, ATMs and attractions. You can drive on your own, which we did.
Staff. Rather just polite than friendly. Friendly maids and Marat's guards.
Territory. This is more of a minus than a plus. She actually doesn't exist. There are ups and downs. There is Marata Park nearby, but somehow I didn’t like it there either. In the evening, just sit at the reception. Or look at the pool.
Rooms. We had a standard-economy-south, similar to the picture from the hotel website, but subjectively, because of the old doors, closet and floor, it looks a little worse. The bathroom is in good condition, clean, towels are new, white, there was a set of soap and shampoo. Great, simply amazing view from the balcony, if there were sun loungers on it, we would live on it. Hot and cold water was available all the time.
Cleaning. Carried out every day. We noticed only the removal of garbage. The floors were vacuumed and washed only after a separate request. Towels were changed even more than once every 3 days. Toilet paper as needed. A set of soap and shampoo was not reported, apparently they thought that we wash once a week. What is the point of putting them in the first place is not clear.
Swimming pool. Its plus is that it exists and that it is almost never windy in the pool area. Its minus is that it is cold (it can be normal in summer, but during our vacation it was cold), it was only possible to quickly plunge several times no more. Deep enough, not for children. Didn't look very clean. Every day from two to four break - the filters are cleaned. At exactly 4 the sun hides behind the buildings. and it gets cold. That is, the pool, at best, can be used from 9 am (beginning of work) to 2 in the afternoon. And considering that it's still cold in the morning. . . I don't understand why these filters can't be turned on at night? Also, on Thursdays, the pool does not work at all until 4 - prevention. They observed how the entrance was simply closed until half past five, the cleaners simply cleaned the territory, and at half past five in the evening the cleaning had just begun. Nothing is done for the convenience of the guests.
Animation. For children, the animation was, I don’t know if it’s good or not, we don’t have children. In the evening there is a children's disco. There is no animation for adults.
Beach and beach access.
The cable car from Marat is really a salvation, since the descent is very inconvenient, there are steps, and the ascent is generally terrible, a little hard. We watched people go down with wheelchairs... We would not have dared to do this. On the cable car three minutes up and down, convenient. The first two days are still interesting.
There are two beaches, if the sun is shining, then you need to look for free sunbeds. In September, everything is ok, but in the summer there may be problems with this. Given that these are the beaches of Marat, and there can be a lot of people. Bottom with sharp stones.
Nutrition.
Meals in the dining room of Marat. Breakfast and dinner. The choice of dishes does not change, small, you can only eat half of what is offered. From the second half, the stomach began to hurt. Although it is generally not clear how you can spoil primitive dishes, such as boiled eggs, omelettes, casseroles, sausages or onion tomato salads. And this happens if you keep them in the refrigerator before that or cook them from old products, apparently. Despite the fact that the range of products from which everything is prepared is quite good, you still have to manage to spoil the dishes in such a way.
That's it. Complete with meals, we will definitely not return here, but if the administration makes options without meals, reducing the price by 2-1.5 times, then there will be a completely normal place to relax with its pluses and minuses.

I will adequately describe Ai-Todor-South - considering approximately the same price in other hotels, both desired and received.
We went in the second half of September from the 15th to the 22nd.
Having planned a vacation in advance for a month and having booked places through a travel agency, I decided to call Ai-Todor-South to find out minor questions. Was pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and hospitality of the receptionist. Despite the cold weather in September, we arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock.
Registration took about 5 minutes - they told where and what to be, the cleaning and food schedule (it was divided there into 4 shifts from 7.30 to half an hour - they gave magnetized bracelets to enter the dining room, cable car and beach) and what we will eat in the neighboring building of the hotel park Marat in 1 shift.
They settled us at 12 o'clock - we were lucky that the room on the 3rd floor was already free and cleaned. A small room - with a balcony, 2 single beds shifted, 2 warm blankets, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, a couple of bedside tables and chairs and plastic chairs and a table on the balcony.
The toilet is tidied up. Shower cabin - cold and hot water around the clock, however, to close the shower cabin - I had to fool around every time for a couple of minutes. From personal items, 3 towels and 2 soaps, which for some reason were not reported.
From daily cleaning - this is the removal of garbage, every day in the morning when we had breakfast. The floors were sometimes dirty, and in order to vacuum them, I had to go to the maid and ask them to clean them up. All white socks are black. The floors are wooden-Soviet creaking wooden parquet.
The general opinion of the room was to remain the best. It can be seen that the soviet hotel has not been particularly restored.
The only plus that I remember is the view from the room - a very beautiful sea and sunrises.
Food is a separate issue and disappointment. We came to rest - and instead of getting enough sleep - we had to get up earlier than for work - at 7 in the morning to eat. Dinner was at 18.00.
The breakfasts were disappointing. Icy boiled eggs, which apparently had been cleaned since yesterday evening, or even the day before yesterday. They even photographed the omelet - black. There were sausages, but even the cats on the territory did not want to eat them. In general, every day I drank coffee - scrambled eggs and sandwiches with butter and casseroles with sour cream.
Dinners were more pleasant + there was white and red wine. Good baked fish and chicken, meatballs. Pilaf is not bad. Grapes, watermelon and plums. There were salads - but I rarely saw more than two components in them: cabbage and butter, chopped cucumbers with mayonnaise, tomatoes - sprinkled with cheese, I was surprised to see a vinaigrette on the 4th day.
The people who came to the second shift were very amused and always lined up for food. The queues were delayed by 20 people or more. People came to this dining room from all the buildings of Marat.
In general, from the monotony, my stomach stopped on the 5th day. Mezim saved me. I didn’t understand why the normal reviews about food. For a two-bed standard and food - well, you can put up with it even more or less. But I can imagine the disappointment of people who paid more for the best rooms, but the food is like this.
From the week we lived, due to bad weather, we sunbathed and swam for 4 days near the pool until lunch. After breakfast at 9 in the morning, they came to the pool - just the sun was already heating the water.
It was very deduced that they have - the pool is cleaned every day from 14.00 to 16.00 and you can’t swim in it. Not only is it not heated - and just before lunch it heats up more or less from the sun and then immediately cleaning. And after 16.00 the sun hides behind the Ai-Todor building and there is nothing more to do there.
Well, you do this cleaning - after 16.00 when there are no people there !!
So we packed our things and went to the sea. Cable car Marat on bracelets - and after 3 minutes we are already on the beach.
There are a lot of sun loungers - but it happened that there weren’t enough on two beaches.
I even managed to swim a couple of times - the sea is cold this year, unfortunately, as is the weather.
In general, we tried to spend every day productively, especially on cold days. Excursions and hiking arranged almost every day. We walked along the Sunny / Royal path 7 km to Livadia.
The nature along the way is simply gorgeous - we couldn’t breathe in the pine trees. We saw a lot of sights and climbed Ai-Petri by cable car. We visited the parks of the surrounding hotels.
In general, summing up. Not counting the bad weather. Strange living conditions and monotonous food - the rest was not bad - because there were very few in the hotel.
Somehow we didn’t feel cozy and comfortable there, despite the fact that the staff is very friendly. The only thing that saves the hotel is the surrounding beautiful nature.
But we don't want to go back to this hotel.

Email managers respond very quickly and in detail, the only problem arose was to pay the bill, not all banks work with this. At the last moment I decided to cancel the reservation, because. Our room was on the first floor, we were afraid of noise. It turns out that they were afraid in vain, the music is almost inaudible, the only thing right under the windows people were sunbathing, and involuntarily passing, they looked into the room.
And now about the rest itself. We were unlucky with the weather! The sea was 10 degrees for a couple of days. But there were days that there were not enough sunbeds on the beach, but this is our fault, we need to sleep less! Water aerobics from the animators Marat amused)) The beach is clean, the guards always help to get through with the stroller. We ate at Silver (lunch and dinner). We were fed amazingly!! ! We always left with full bellies, the waitress girls are very polite, and there is a high chair. The menu is varied, almost always everything is piping hot, always vegetables, fruits and delicious pastries!
Special thanks to the animators for their evening disco! Although the child is only a year old, he really liked to clap his hands, when at home he hears the song "helper" and the "machine" immediately starts dancing)) and small presents at the end, even he was not left indifferent))
The room was cleaned every day, towels changed on request.
The minus of the hotel is expensive parking, paying 40-50 UAH per day is somehow expensive. . .
And the minus of the village itself is the prices! They are wild! A liter of milk for 80 rubles, in my opinion too much! It's good that there was a car and you could go to the neighboring village "stroygorodok", where prices differed by an order of magnitude from Gaspra.
Surprised by the lack of marine entertainment from the series "banana" and "scooter"
It so happened that during the rest there was a birthday, we went to the restaurant "at Mother-in-law", what kind of barbecue is there, mmmm....it is divine !!!!
The cable car did not cause problems, sometimes we went down on foot, but it was hard to go up, especially with a stroller and a child, but it was a couple of times. And so the schedule is convenient, uncles always help to enter / exit.
Conclusion: the holiday was a success! next time we will send a child with grandmothers there!

Vacation planned long and carefully. Unfortunately, we were not lucky with the weather ((But while we didn’t know this, we drove by car for the second day, we were very tired, but the boarding house was never found. It was already dark, the narrow streets wind up and down... We were lucky - the kind one suggested taxi driver and we finally arrived at the place! To whom it is interesting, I will write - you need to drive up from the Alupka highway, and the exit to it is optimal in the area of the Swallow's Nest.

It was already dark, the narrow streets wind up and down... We were lucky - the kind one suggested taxi driver and we finally arrived at the place! To whom it is interesting, I will write - you need to drive up from the Alupka highway, and the exit to it is optimal in the area of the Swallow's Nest.
They settled us quickly - for which many thanks, and tired, but satisfied, we go up to the 6th floor. 2-room suite on the north side. Very large and comfortable, huge balcony overlooking Ai-Petri. There is a table and three chairs on the balcony. In one room there are two huge beds (which we later connected, since we slept together with a child) and two bedside tables. In the other room there is a fold-out sofa, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a refrigerator, a new TV, and. . . oh, a miracle, even a kettle! For three adults and a child, the room was very comfortable! The room was cleaned regularly, after a couple of days they offered to change the towels. In general, I found only one minus - irregular water supply! Often, in the morning there was nothing to just wash, let alone take a shower. Subsequently, we adapted, mostly used water in the evening, when there were no interruptions.
The staff of the boarding house is excellent, no complaints! Animation -
super! We missed only one evening disco (because of the excursion), the child was very worried. And souvenirs for children after a disco are a trifle, but a child has so many emotions, he sits in the room all evening and plays with his mini-zoo!
The pool is clean but not heated so we didn't swim - it was cold!
Everything is close, in front of the exit from the territory of Marat, a woman sits - she offers a bunch of excursions to choose from, next to a mini-market, with a varied selection of fruits. To the left of the exit from the territory there is a mini-market, bread, water, and more, you could always buy. You can walk to the sea, but we usually used the cable car (the entrance is right behind the Marat bus stop), the cable car is in general availability, its use is included in the price, which is very pleasing!
Nutrition. The canteen is not far, a hundred meters, but you have to go around it, uphill and down... Good physical education on a full stomach... We were fed a couple of times in Silver - to be honest, we liked it more than in the Marat's canteen... In canteen buffet, huge queues, cold dishes (I can’t imagine how you can eat cold porridge and pasta). Fortunately - a huge selection of dishes, and you can find something more or less acceptable to yourself. We didn't leave hungry and thanks for that! But, back to the weather - on the second day we realized that we were not lucky with the weather (It rained periodically... the sea cooled down... Let's not lose heart, we decided, and began to explore the surrounding territory. We often left for the whole day, then to Yalta, then to Alushla, then to Sevastopol, since there are a lot of interesting things nearby. But, a huge minus - we did not have time to return to the paid dinners! We had to eat for our hard-earned money in cafes. In this regard, I would like to ask the administration of the boarding house to cancel the obligatory half board - very inconvenient!
I want to note that eating in different cafes and restaurants, we never got poisoned, everything was delicious, although in some places it was expensive. In the dining room above the mini-market - cheap and simple, but you can eat (if you don't want to go far). "At the mother-in-law" - expensive, but tasty! I really liked the barbecue - you'll eat your mind! The waterfront is expensive. Once we dined at the "Tea House" on the embankment, the prices are reasonable, the choice is large. On average, 200-300 hryvnias were left for lunch (dinner) for three. Once, before leaving, they chicaned in the restaurant "At the mother-in-law" - they dined for more than 500 hryvnias. I also note that the pharmacy near Marat is expensive, in comparison with the pharmacy in Sevastopol, the price was about 30-40% higher. In general, there are few outlets in Gaspra, for this you have to go to another place. But close to many parks, palaces - there is something to see. I liked the park of the sanatorium Dyulbier, the sanatorium Ukraine. It was not possible to visit the Dnieper park. The Vorontsov Palace is in relative proximity, and the Swallow's Nest is within easy reach!
And yet, about the sea... The water is clear, the coast is not deep, you can go with small children. On the shore and in the sea, pebbles are quite large - walking barefoot is not very comfortable (although my child ran as if not barefoot at all). As I said, we were not lucky with the weather - the sea was cold. In two weeks I managed to plunge only twice and after the second I caught a cold ((Although the air temperature was comfortable, it was only a little cold in the evenings. I managed to sunbathe, even there were not always enough sunbeds!
Conclusion - we will definitely be back again, but most likely not in September!

We are delighted! And from the hotel, and from this wonderful place, and from the friendly staff! Greeted warmly, seated quickly. The room is excellent, everything is clean and comfortable. We have a 2-bed standard on the 5th floor. The sea view from the balcony is amazing. The room has air conditioning, you can relax in a comfortable atmosphere. The food is excellent, we eat in the dining room of Marat. Organized buffet. We eat 3 times and to satiety. There was no thought to eat on the side - we are full. The waitresses are very polite. Thanks to them, they are trying. The cable car to the beach works without interruption and there are no problems getting to the beach. You can’t really find free sunbeds after breakfast, but we don’t worry about this and lie on the bedspread and it’s very comfortable. The beach is clean and so is the water. Enough space for everyone. I just want towels to be changed more often, please, dear hotel administration, once every 3 days and it will be cool! ))) Well, otherwise there are no complaints, we feel you tried to make us have a good rest, thank you !!!! ! We'll be back next year. )

THE PLACE YOU WANT TO RETURN TO! Good evening! I love Crimea very much, I have rested in many places in Crimea, but the Southern coast of Crimea cannot be compared with anything! Gurzuf, Yalta, Miskhor, Alupka, Alushta, Partenit places of extraordinary beauty. And this year, in August, my granddaughter Anfisa and I visited Gaspra for the first time, in the Ai-Todor-South boarding house.

To say that I liked it means to say nothing. Everything here is just amazing! We are from Russia, but we booked a ticket via the Internet from the Crimean tour operator (I wanted to go directly through the boarding house, but there were no rooms for the dates we needed), everything turned out fine, from time to time I called up the boarding house managers to confirm my reservation, so the girls are just wonderful , friendly, answered all my questions patiently, politely, so even before my arrival I had a very pleasant impression of the boarding house staff.
And when we arrived, I realized that my first impression was completely confirmed, the girls at the reception are really very friendly, friendly, tactful, there are simply no words. We were quickly settled, told where, what and how. Our room was on the third floor with a sea view, the view, of course, is amazing. The room is clean, all the necessary furniture is available, there is a table and two plastic chairs on the balcony, the toilet is clean, the plumbing works perfectly, the water, by the way, was both cold and hot all the time. The room was cleaned every day (special thanks to the maid Valya). I was struck by snow-white terry towels (brand new) three pieces each, we couldn’t even use them all, as a week later they brought us super-snow-white new towels again, bed linen is also snow-white (which is very rare for Crimean boarding houses).
The boarding house itself is very cozy, neat and compact, everything in it is very conveniently arranged. The pool and the area around it are very picturesque, palm trees, greenery and blue water in the pool (very beautiful), my Anfisa loved to swim in the evenings after the children's disco. Children's disco is simply an indescribable sight, everyone, both adults and children, had fun until you drop. This is a huge merit of the animators, by the way, our animators, in comparison with the Maratovskys, are much cooler. Many thanks to them, because they worked with our children during the day (beading, drawing, a lot of things) So the parents were not too dependent on the children, they could relax themselves, since the children were supervised. The children were very cool and fun there, they made many friends. Going to the beach is just a pleasure, the cable car, like a kind of attraction, you go and look at all the beauty.
We also really liked the beach, we came at 9 o'clock and always found a place, always sunbathed on sunbeds, and there was no such thing that everyone would sit on top of each other. Water aerobics is also a fun show, in general, everything is great. When I called home to my relatives, I told them: "I expected that everything would be fine here, but that EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD AND HEALTHY HERE, that I simply did not expect. " We were also satisfied with the food in Marat (we had lunch and dinner), we arrived on time and everything was fine, there were no queues and there was enough of everything, the menu is always varied, so everything is fine with food. In general, I always treat vouchers with food normally, I don’t like to bother with the food problem on vacation, once again thinking about where to eat, which cafe or canteen to go to, how much money to spend on lunch and dinner. And therefore, I do not quite share the opinion of vacationers about tours without meals. But this is my personal opinion. And everything is just amazing.
Every time I have a rest in Crimea in a new place, but this time Anfisa and I firmly decided that next year we will come only here, only to you, only to the Ai-Todor-South boarding house, because this is the place where I really want to return and which, I know for sure, Anfisa and I will miss and often remember our wonderful vacation. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING!!! ! HEALTH, LUCK AND PATIENCE TO YOU!!! !
