Rested family of 4 people. adults in 2 rooms. We chose the hotel ourselves based on reviews and recommendations, as well as the location and availability in the area of markets, shops, a bank, cafes, we were ready for any difficulties and stocked up: presents (chocolate, nail polish, beautiful rubber bands for hair, hairpins, lighters - handed out everything in a row, they don’t play a special role anywhere), wet wipes, electrical appliances from a 110V network, an adapter and even a mini transformer (this is important! because not all rooms have 1 socket for 220V, American plugs, mains voltage is 110V ), beach towels, a fishing rod, they took a long rope with them, detergents for the body, teeth and head, non-spill mugs, which turned out to be very necessary! All of the above has worked for us! Basically everything! Vacation was a success! We are satisfied, despite the little things: they didn’t clean the rooms well, but they cleaned and took out the garbage, they got into the queue for the entrance to the dining room for a couple of days (when family Cubans come for the weekend), but there was enough food for everyone - as much as they like, old furniture in the rooms, but the beds are quite comfortable and even covered them, if not made, there are no ropes on the balcony and nothing to tie them to, but we put chairs and stretched our rope brought with us between them.

Much more positive emotions and pleasures! What does it mean - who is warned is armed!
And now the recommendations:
1. Feel free to exchange currency for local cookies on the bus from the airport, because There is the most advantageous rate than anywhere else! Before the trip, find out the exchange rate in Cuban banks for foreigners to understand what will be offered to you on the bus! At the airport, you will be "robbed" in the currency exchange department! The course in different places is different (airport, hotel, bank). It's better to pay with cookies everywhere!
2. When checking in, give a present (2 pcs. , because usually 2 people at the reception) and choose building 33 or 34, or another, but away from the pool and reception, possibly with windows to the street, because. entertainment programs will be heard in the room or cheerful vacationers can disturb your sleep!
3. Ask for a room up to 3rd floor. inclusive, so that there are no interruptions in water supply, the water pressure is weak.
4. When checking in, immediately check the presence of hot water and the operation of the toilet bowl, hot water appears in the tap after 5 minutes of draining, and the toilet barrel is filled within 5 minutes.
5. Check the operation of the TV, air conditioning and the availability of working sockets in the presence of staff upon check-in, one socket was enough for us, because. We took with us an adapter and a pilot for 3 sockets. If you do not have time to check in the presence of staff, then before you settle down, still check the essentials and... run to the reception if something is wrong.
6. You can not leave tips or presents for cleaners (at your discretion), they will take them away, but they will not do anything more than their usual duties, i. e. they will remove the garbage in the basket, make the bed and maybe wipe the floor, which we noticed 1 time out of 10 days, and changed the bed and towels 1 time! All! Therefore, do not litter especially in the room! Keep clean! Although tips make Cubans more fond of Canadians who do not skimp on tips in currency or cookies!
7. Be careful in stores, look at the price tags, they cover them up and say the amount is 2-3 times more (we went to the nearest store for cigars, then we decided to take another look and on the way back in this store we were told the price was 2 times more, we bought at another store) You can go through several and choose the cheaper one. . . It's useless to argue, and not everyone can speak Cuban. . . The shops are empty, except for rum and cigars with cigarettes, there is almost nothing, the counters are filled with juice, water, some have something from the products... there are also few goods on the market, a lot of souvenirs.
8. Take places on the beach from very early in the morning, there are many sunbeds, they are of various modifications, free of charge, but there are a limited number of umbrellas made of palm leaves. Before breakfast at 6-7 o'clock in the morning we walked to the beach, left towels (which we prudently took from home on a trip) on the sunbeds and went to breakfast or somewhere else slowly.
9. The Internet in the hotel sucks, you buy a card and there are places where you can sit quietly, chat... best of all, there is a shop between the reception and the dining room, there are tables and chairs in front of it, that's where most of them sit with their phones! There is no Internet on the beach, but on the way to the beach there is a bus stop and there is a platform with benches, the Internet works even better there than at the Hotel, because. it's next to the telecommunications company building, usually people with phones sit there too.
10. Excursions are expensive! But it is much more interesting and cheaper to ride a retro car with your own Russian-speaking guide if the company is not large or find a couple for a joint trip. Carlos 5352681231, with whom we had a very fun and productive ride around Cuba! There is whatsapp and viber.
11. If you do not have registered seats for the return flight, then you do not need an individual transfer. It's better to arrive early with everyone and take a place in the queue! Try to spend money (eat lobsters in a cafe in Varadero), because. at the airport they will exchange your cookies back for currency, but the rate will be extortionate!
Good luck to everyone, have a good rest and the best impressions! Do not forget when choosing this Hotel that this is a 2-star apart-hotel, the quality-price is quite satisfactory! Be sure to visit Cuba!
If you take into account my recommendations, then nothing will stop you from plunging into the atmosphere of the USSR and fully enjoying the ocean - indescribable, and Cuba!

First we stopped at OASIS, which actually turned out to be a stinking place in the literal sense: there are oil derricks and unpleasant odors, and after 2 days we moved out. In the same resort of Varadero, there are much more pleasant places, such as the Islazul Mar Del Sur hotel, where we stayed. Also 2 stars, by the way.

At first glance, it is more expensive than the Oasis, but everything is included here plus excellent air, swimming pool, beach, air conditioning, TV and other joys of civilization.

I am not very good at claiming 2.3 or 5 stars, although I have lived in different countries and in hotels of different stars. It was good here. In general, Varadero is good. Huge Ocean, half empty beach, crystal clear, warm water. The hotel is on one of the streets of the town, the buildings are quite scattered.

Huge Ocean, half empty beach, crystal clear, warm water. The hotel is on one of the streets of the town, the buildings are quite scattered. We changed 3 until we found what we needed : )) As a result, we got to the farthest - 32nd, it's quiet there. In other places you can hear the disco, though the sound after 23h is turned off very disciplined. The buildings are not new, but some have been recently renovated. The food was good, there was a choice. Minus one - local mosquitoes, who wanted to crap at our fumitox and theirs mazilka. Saved only by air conditioning, but they have it very loud, take earplugs : )). The staff is friendly, learn a couple of greetings in Spanish "Hola! " and "Buenas dias", as well as "gracias" - thank you, smile and don't walk with "cara dura" (a brick face - in our opinion), let's tip 1-2 $ or Euro, and you will be loved even more : )) , the people are not rich, why not share. But in general, "I still have Cuban sand in my boots. " . . Anyone who has seen this video will understand. But it's better to get the impressions directly. Ah, here's something else. At the airport, alcohol and cigars are 10-20 percent cheaper than in shops on Varadero, so it’s better to stock up home there. I recommend Legendario rum for women. Very tasty, sweet and soft, my girlfriends really liked it : )).

There are rooms in blocks 15-18 - do not take. ask for apartments in block 12. from the pros, in the city center but not noisy. All major places can be reached on foot. there is no exchanger in the hotel - you have to go to the banks on the next street, there is no internet either. teleservice center 3 min. but there is only 1 computer connected to the Internet, so you need to catch. 6 cookies per hour (180 rubles /). if there is a good company and you need an economical option - a normal option. food without frills, seafood - fish and squid. The beach is wide and good. In general, the beach does not depend on the level of the hotel - it is equally good everywhere. But if you have the opportunity to pay extra 3-4 thousand, it is better to take a hotel on line 1 - you can’t replace the view of the ocean in the morning.

We rested from May 05 to May 19.2011. The ITC company met us well in Havana, we were taken to the hotel by minibus. I must say that the hotel pleasantly surprised us! Didn't expect this from the "kopeck piece"! The room had 2 rooms, the bedroom had 2 beds, a kitchen with utensils, a coffee maker and a microwave, a balcony, a shower, a sink and a toilet.

In short - everything you need. The hotel area is quite large and green, there is a large swimming pool, "Bingo" is held daily - a lottery with a prize in the form of a bottle of rum, evening animation and a disco, there is a playground, a massage parlor. There is a bar on the beach, which is open from 10-00 to 17-00 with a good range of drinks and various hamburgers, sandwiches and delicious chips. Chips and hamburgers are also served at the pool bar. The restaurant is well fed, there is always meat - pork, beef, chicken, very tasty potatoes !! ! As a disadvantage - very few fruits and fish. The hotel staff is friendly, but almost no one speaks Russian. NO STEALING IN THE ROOM!! ! In general, nothing was missing for all 2 weeks! But they don’t clean very well, but they didn’t pay attention to it, because next to it is the Atlantic Ocean !! ! From excursions I will recommend Havana, the island of Cayo Largo with snow-white and fine sand. This is the only reason to go to Cuba! In general - so many emotions that it's hard to write a review! In short - the hotel is excellent, I strongly recommend it!! ! Excellent value for money!! ! By the way, about animation - different groups perform every day - magic tricks, dances, songs, etc. Very interesting!

It is better to take euros with you. dollar change is not profitable, it's all because of relations with the United States. the staff is polite, smiling, but what if? you have to pay for everything. on the second night they lost the keys to the room, so they said pay for all the keys (although we didn’t have them), but then the keys were found (the Americans brought them from the beach). The food is so-so, but you definitely won’t stay hungry, after this hotel I began to eat less salt. go shorter! you will not regret! just don’t forget adapters for American sockets, well, just in case (not all rooms have

Probably I will repeat, but for 2 *, the hotel is very decent. The sea is located 150 meters from the hotel, there is a bar. Very surprised by the previous review. Everything was lying around in our room, even money. Not very big (I want to note that for us 30 CUC is a trifle, it's about 500-600 rubles, for them it's a three-month salary) All things were always neatly folded on the table and there was no hint of anything missing.

Everything was lying around in our room, even money. Not very big (I want to note that for us 30 CUC is a trifle, it's about 500-600 rubles, for them it's a three-month salary) All things were always neatly folded on the table and there was no hint of anything missing. On the third day, we gave the maid 1 CUC, unlike others, we always washed the floor, a trifle but nice. And upon departure, we were allowed to check out at 14.00, and not 12, as it should be. On the fourth day of our stay, the water heater broke down in the room, to our surprise it was repaired literally after 3 hours. Food is really scarce, but you won't die of hunger. Animation takes place constantly, for example, during the day you can play loto and win a bottle of rum, in the evening there is also something to look at. Especially on the weekends, when the whole hotel is filled with Cubans, the karaoke competition starts. Then I felt sorry for the children, their parents shoved them onto the stage in order to show off, in front of the assembled compatriots, everyone is dancing salsa. But at the same time, everyone behaves decently. . It is better to tip right away. For example, in the lobby bar, which we visited upon arrival, the bartender made us a couple of good cocktails, not sparing 2 CUC, we enjoyed his creations all the vacation, once at lunch we visited him, with a great desire to drink coffee, he offered us as always Mahito, after the evening gatherings, we could not even hear about alcohol. Then he made us a non-alcoholic Mojito, with something unknown to us, saying that after this drink we would immediately feel better. The taste of this Mojito was very specific, but literally, after 20 minutes, all the hangover syndromes, as if blown away. There are no Russian speakers there at all, but a charming girl is sitting in the lobby selling excursions. She has a friend Leonel, he studied in Moscow in Soviet times and knows Russian perfectly. It was he who was our guide, through him you can go on many excursions much cheaper and more comfortable. For example, we rode in Trinedad by taxi, on the way we dropped into many cities, bought in the Caribbean and much more. The pluses of the hotel, I would like to include that it is located in the very center of Varadero, and not on the outskirts, there is a souvenir market within a 5-minute walk, another important thing is a bank where you can exchange money at a very good rate. I highly recommend everyone to do this only in a bank. And it's better to go there with Canadian dollars and EURO. In no case do not take Dollars, a commission of 20% is charged for their exchange. Still there at a premium, soap, cosmetics, pencils, felt-tip pens, chocolate and chewing gum. All that was missing in the hungry Soviet childhood. But still, do not forget that all Cubans living in resort towns are not at all poor, they love to show up in order to steal more money from you, they all know Russian psychology very well, and they can cry for hours, our Leonel just killed us, the fact that his poor only daughter is crying for 2 days and 2 nights because her computer is broken. In Cuba, a computer in the provinces is equivalent to an Audi A8 in the fields of the Krasnaya Zarya collective farm in the Uryupen region.

take drinks and snacks at lunchtime. There were shows almost every evening. Rooms for 2 stars. There is food in the restaurant, you won’t die of hunger, but without frills. The desire of the servants to get a tip (at least CUCa) for everything is amazing. Usually, tips are given in fact for good service, but here everyone wants to get it first, and then, perhaps, there will be normal service. In addition, my jacket was missing from my room, which I discovered when collecting things upon departure.
We turned to the manager, he wrote everything down, but the maid said that she didn’t take it, and I went home without her. In general, the impression of Cuba is pleasant, but I advise you to choose hotels of a higher star rating. I do not advise you to go to this hotel, things just disappear from the rooms there. By the way, I recommend taking only EURO with you to Cuba. If you have questions, call 8-916-611-44-28 Felix.
