I am pleased to add a more detailed description of the Quality inn praca da Batalha to the already written review of Portugal, this hotel is very conveniently located, in the center, close to the main walking streets, a very beautiful and useful Santo Bento station and an amazing church. The hotel does not smoke! Breakfast - buffet: two types of omelets, boiled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, sausage, ham, cheese, grapes, melon, apples, pears, plums, indescribably delicious Portuguese bread, sweet buns, muesli, cereals, natural juices, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, butter, etc.

The hotel does not smoke! Breakfast - buffet: two types of omelets, boiled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, sausage, ham, cheese, grapes, melon, apples, pears, plums, indescribably delicious Portuguese bread, sweet buns, muesli, cereals, natural juices, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, butter, etc. The rooms are small, but very clean, comfortable, the furniture is new, the plumbing is fully functional, the view from the windows to the square is good, there are cafes nearby, the staff is unobtrusive and very friendly, they speak English, and some speak French. In general, not a "three", but a real "four" in terms of stardom. I recommend to everyone!

I visited Portugal from October 9 to October 18.2008 with my husband, took tickets myself through Paris, and hotels and visas at AltoSol, 5 days in Lisbon, 4 days in Porto. I also took two standard excursions Lisbon-Sintra-Cape Roca and Batalha-Alcobaç a-Obidos. The Air France flight went great. The Residencia Horizonte hotel in Lisbon is only good for its good location - right next to the Park metro station, and it’s real to walk to the center, but it’s shabby "deuce", although it is declared as 3 *.

"deuce", although it is declared as 3 *. But the hotel in Porto Quality Inn Praca de Batalia turned out to be wonderful, rather 4 * than the declared 3, although the price of the hotels was the same. Getting around Portugal by public transport turned out to be very easy, we visited the city of Tomar with its Templar fortress from Lisbon on our own - just a MIRACLE! and Cascais, and from Porto in one day Guimaraes and Braga, and then Viano de Castelo. In general, Portugal made a pleasant impression of a quiet provincial country, where it was warm and carefree. But attention - the ocean is cold there, despite the air temperature during the day 24-26, and at night 18-20. Compared to other European countries, attractions in Portugal are few and far between, but they have their own charm and personality. I will be happy to answer all questions about the country and movement around it. And here is my personal impression of this country:
Pressed down the sky with a gray veil,
Northern summer seemed not enough
Warm weather somewhere abroad
I'll fly away in a silver bird.
The roofs of Lisbon will meet me with the sun,
Red tiles, the sound of the ocean,
I'll turn off my mobile, fire the news,
Give me the freedom to breathe freely!
Lost somewhere in the streets of Alfam
The Lisbon wind is gentle, like a mother,
I really need to get lost today
Restaurants beckon with the voices of Fado.
And in the morning I will move to the pier of Cascais,
I'll get to Sintra and Guimaraes
Fortress of the Templars, Monastery of Batalha,
Obidos and Braga are tired of waiting for me.
Poured in the Port of tart port wine,
I will sip a glass reverently,
I feel - I'm pouring into the champions league,
Ronaldo and the great Figo drink it.
A fellow traveler will invite you to stay forever,
But the Polar Stars will suddenly be stroked by a ray,
So the heart missed the blizzards,
Waiting for me, gulyon, mother-Rassey.
