This heavenly place is located in big Yalta, in the village of Gaspra. The sanatorium is located in the former estate of the Grand Duke, in a luxurious park with centuries-old trees. You can go down to the sea either by stairs or by elevator. Everything is very convenient. Very good medical base, large swimming pool with sea water. Excellent medical staff. I was observed by the therapist Tsereteli Maria Vasilievna 5 times. She is an excellent professional and kind caring doctor. This year I was observed by the therapist Kolpakova Olga Nikolaevna, also an excellent qualified doctor. Thank her very much!
In the 2nd building, where I lived, there are very good single rooms with all amenities. The maid Bunkina Tatyana Ivanovna brought cleanliness and order to me. Considering my age and state of health, she helped me in everything, for which I am very grateful to her.
I have known the nurses of the second corps for more than one year, they all work with a soul and deserve the warmest gratitude. This is:
Luchko Tamara Illarionovna,
Bolun Ekaterina Pavlovna,
Breus Raisa Nikolaevna,
Roshina Galina Valerievna
And of course, a huge thank you to Anna Temalova, Anna Dmitrievna, for her concern for vacationers.
I would especially like to say about the food: it is a buffet in a large, beautiful restaurant. Everything is very tasty, high quality and varied. This, of course, is the merit of the manager Korsak Vitaly Anatolyevich, the dietitian Kalalb Natalia Dmitrievna, Sharabaiko Inessa Vitalievna. In addition to the fact that they are all highly qualified specialists, they are also very responsive and attentive people. This year I have a complication with my legs, they realized that it was hard for me to go to a restaurant, and without my request they organized food for me in the room. Three times a day, the waiter Alexander Budakov brought me food to the room. And always with a smile and good wishes.
This resort has always been nice and cozy. And this year, due to my state of health, I suddenly felt such attention and care from all those working in the sanatorium that I had the feeling that I was among people very close to me.
Thanks to them for a wonderful holiday, thanks to them for everything!

From the family of Alla Petrovna:
We are all very grateful to the staff of the sanatorium for such care of our mother! She, unfortunately, is a seriously ill person, no longer young. It is always very exciting for us to send her on vacation, but we send her to the Dnepr sanatorium without any fear. We know that in such a wonderful place as the Dnepr sanatorium, she will be taken care of in the best possible way.
Thanks to all the staff of the resort!
Park, food, treatment.
Did not like
The attitude of the administration, no.
Traveled with my wife at the end of 2015. The room is after renovation, but this renovation was obviously done by armless jamshuts. Everything seems to be new, but it is screwed crookedly, it is slanted, screws that are not tightened stick out, the doors do not close, the parts are not installed (they lie side by side). We got just on a power outage in the Crimea. The administration did not move, neither to hold meetings, nor to hang announcements, nor in any other way to explain the situation and the prospects for staying in the sanatorium. Only after the indignation of the vacationers was the meeting. In order to get a certificate of under-release of procedures, I had to go to the management of the sanatorium, no one else took on such a "huge" responsibility, they sent me to the head doctor, then to the sales department, then somewhere else. And in obtaining a certificate of the cost of treatment (for submission to the tax office) I was generally refused with the wording: "You did not buy a ticket from us, but at a travel agency. So ask them. " They refused to talk to the travel agency at all. So far, I haven't received this certificate.
Otherwise, this is the best sanatorium of those that I have been in the Crimea. The organization of the procedures is excellent. The equipment is not all new, but in good condition. The pool is big and the water is clean. Well maintained park with many paths. The food is delicious. Buffet, although in my opinion in a medical institution this is rather a minus. I especially want to praise the administrator of the dining room, any enterprise rests on such people.
In the spring in the "Dnepr" it's good just to slowly walk around the park, doze on the benches and breathe the cleanest air. At the same time - swim in the pool, take baths, massage, drink Morshyn water in the pump room.
It is a pity that the fifth building is under reconstruction. In my opinion, it is most convenient for vacationers - walking in the park, as well as jogging "to the dining room and back" and to the hydropathic clinic - with virtually no elevation changes, many comfortable paths, health paths with viewing platforms. The second building ("Stalin's Empire") is closer to the road, for cores and mothers with strollers, the climb up the stairs is quite steep. Although the rooms are quiet, but in my room on the third floor, a huge loggia at the same time served as a "living picture" with a view of the Caparys, the park and the sea.
The ninth building is very good in the summer, but in early spring the same runs from the building to the elevator along the embankment in the cold wind are not very comfortable.
From the negative - tangible problems with the kitchen. Macaroni and old hake in the sanatorium - nonsense! Weak gulls in metal teapots - and even then not on every table; for lunch - compote; there are exactly four sleazy napkins on the table - according to the number of diners - all this is very reminiscent of Soviet canteens. On the other hand - for ladies who are chronically dieting - the food is just perfect!
The Dnieper sanatorium is an amazing fusion of the Soviet organization of "health improvement of the leadership" and the eternal beauty of the Crimean nature. There are no violent discos and "hot sweet corn" on the beaches. Everyone who comes to the resort again admits that they come primarily because of the park, the beautiful beach and the very reverent attitude of the staff towards vacationers. "Dnepr" - a great place to relieve stress. Many really come to be treated - the number of wellness procedures is huge, only you need to come for treatment for at least 15 days. And the price of the rest is fully consistent with the quality of services.
In Crimea, this is one of the few places almost untouched by developers. Of course, the appearance of a private hotel in the center of the state sanatorium (and even right in the grand-ducal mansion built by the author of the Livadia Palace, Krasnov), is somewhat discouraging. On the other hand, there is hope that at least another "elite" skyscraper will not be erected in this park.
The food was good red fish, caviar, mussels, squid salad, in general, you won’t leave hungry. You at 14.30 (lunch from 14.00-15.00), then you will eat what no one wanted to take. People began to come to dinner 30 minutes earlier, and still stand in line on the steps, and when they let you into the dining room itself, you still need to stand in line for 40 minutes. In general, they began to save a lot, it all looks like a Soviet canteen with trays. Dear leaders, go to the canteen at least once and look at all this.
Accommodation. Standard double room in building 5 with windows to the north. Unfortunately we had 1 floor. Unfortunately, because at the end of May it was cool. Accordingly, it was cool in the room, very cold floor. In my opinion, the sun never looks at the north side of the hull. At least 1 floor.
In the room: 2 single beds, 1 armchair-bed, 2 bedside tables, 2 chairs, a desk, a TV, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a mirror, a pencil case in the room and a large built-in wardrobe in the hallway, a clothes dryer, a lot of hangers, a carafe and 2 glasses, bottle opener. There are warm blankets in the closet in the hallway. No hair dryer or electric kettle.
In the bathroom: a shower cubicle, a basin and a ladle (toilet paper and 2 small bars of soap lay upon check-in). They provide 3 towels per person.
Cleaning. Cleaning is daily, at least the trash was taken out daily. Wet cleaning in 14 days was noticed 1 time at the end of the first week. Linen and towels were also changed at the end of the first week. Toilet paper, when it ran out, was put at my request.
Nutrition. Custom breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, in all likelihood, there will be a buffet (the equipment for the line is already installed). For breakfast: appetizer, salad, main course, porridge, tea. As an appetizer, for example, butter and cheese or butter and red caviar (for 1 sandwich). For lunch: salad, first course, second course, compote, fruit. For 14 days there were only apples and at the end of the stay in the sanatorium they were given a banana. For dinner: appetizer/salad, main course, porridge, tea. Also a bun and kefir in the package (this is an afternoon snack). Porridges are edible, but watery. Meat and fish dishes are delicious. Soups - so-so, liquid. Borscht, hodgepodge - quite edible. Sometimes children were also given waffles or cakes in a package, sweets, juice.
Territory, park. The park is the highlight of the resort. The park at one time (100 years ago) was divided into landscape design, therefore, despite the fact that it has grown and lost its former panorama, it remains unusually attractive. By the way, in comparison with the neighboring sanatoriums ("Pearl", "Ukraine") there is a big difference. There are not parks, but Soviet pioneer plantings.
There is a playground, but the old Soviet model. 2 iron slides, 2 sandboxes, iron ladders and 2 up and down swings.
On the territory of the sanatorium there is a cafe "Kharaks" and a restaurant "Princess Kitchen". We didn’t go to the first one (in the evenings, live music was heard from there), and the second one is very cozy and tasty.
Beach. Long coastline divided into segments by breakwaters. 2 levels. The upper level is a concrete embankment. The lower level is a pebble beach near the water. Sheds at both levels were only installed/repaired at the end of May. Changing rooms were also installed. There are toilets, but I'm not sure if they worked (we didn't go in). Plastic sunbeds - paid. The water and the pebble beach are clean.
Cafes on the beach promenade: "Romanovsky Buffet" (on the territory of the embankment of the sanatorium "Dnepr") and "Tea House" (on the territory of the embankment of the sanatorium "Ukraine") and some others. In the "Tea House" everything is really delicious.
In "Romanovsky Buffet", judging by the reviews of our table neighbors, they also cook delicious food, especially fish. Although I didn’t like pancakes with strawberries and ice cream (the only thing we tried) (similar food in the Tea House tastes much better).
Animation, leisure. As they say, unobtrusive, both for children and adults. Although every day is scheduled, like on Monday - a disco, on Tuesday - karaoke, and on Wednesday - a movie, etc. We watched the entire series of cartoons about Masha and the Bear once, once the child sang karaoke (well, only children and teenagers were active there). On June 1, animators were invited and at the end of the holiday children were given pieces of a festive cake.
Every breakfast, lunch and dinner on the 1st floor in the dining room is recorded by a special aunt for excursions (paid, of course). We centrally visited the Livadia Palace, the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, the Miracle Donkey farm (we made a trip on donkeys), the dolphinarium in Partenit with a guide.
We went to the Swallow's Nest on our own (through the neighboring sanatorium "Zhemchuzhina" according to the sanatorium book "Dnepr"), went to the Vorontsov Palace and Park, the Skazka Zoo (100 gr. - adult entrance ticket, 50 gr. - children) and Glade of fairy tales ( Baba Yaga there, indeed, does not climb into her pocket for a word), to Yalta on the embankment.
Every Tuesday and Friday, free tours are held around the territory of the sanatorium: one tells about the ancient Roman fortress "Charax", and the second tells about the estate of the Grand Duke "Charax", well, and about its former inhabitants. All this is located on the territory of the sanatorium (the main part of the fortress is mothballed in the ground, though). I think it's very interesting (we listened with pleasure).
Treatment. We treated the type of nasopharynx in a child. The doctor takes in the building on the 1st floor. She prescribed electrophoresis for the child, inhalations with aminocaproic acid, a visit to the salt cave. Every morning and evening, the nurse on duty in the building buried the nose of the child, in the evening they also performed a procedure in the building - irradiation with KUV.
Then we went to the ENT doctor. She added a nasal wash (cuckoo) to us. Plus, the child was also assigned to drink mineral water, an oxygen cocktail, and bathe in a bath with tea tree oil. I was assigned about the same. I refused the pool and Chinese gymnastics. They did not stutter about the massage, although we were entitled to 10 free procedures each.
In May, there were no queues, at least for our simple procedures. True, before starting to visit the salt cave and baths, we had to wait two days.
I made myself an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity - I paid 280 rubles (70 hryvnias), I had been going for a long time, but I didn’t have time all the time.
In general, I liked everything, I would like to come here again.
Of the shortcomings - very poor furniture on the balconies; after storms, they will not bring the beach area back to normal - a lot of rust, broken sun loungers. And there is a fear that in summer the whole Gaspra will be on the beach.
Of the mistakes of the administration - the site is weak, does not reflect the entire range of services, bad photos of the rooms, there is no full description of the equipment of the rooms, a list and description of the procedures.
