ROOM needs renovation, especially chairs and bathroom. It was not dirty, it needed at least cosmetic repairs. The bed is very comfortable, the room was immediately given with a partial view of the sea and the neighboring building. They didn’t change the number, because they are sure that they will give about the same number for a surcharge, so why overpay. The cleaning was good, the towels were clean, the cleaner was polite, brought water, made sure that there was tea / coffee.
We saw the "bungalow" rooms, they are for some extra charge. It may be better inside, but they are located right in the middle of the territory and everyone can look in there, some kind of birdhouse, I would not want to live there.
FOOD
Large selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another thing is that you can eat from it. No, you certainly won’t stay hungry, the fact is that, like everywhere else in Egypt, they add their own spices, which are unusual for us, and, of course, their national food is so-so. We took everything familiar, without experiments. Breakfast is so-so, lunch is better, for dinner there is even more variety of dishes. But a lot of different exotic fruits, this is a huge plus. Snack by the pool once a day (cakes, puffs, fruits), a pool bar, where french fries, pizza, burgers also worked, but there were a lot of people, there was a long queue, everyone was running to eat fries urgently, as if they had not just had lunch.
BARS
All the bars in the area were open. You do not need to take coffee in the dining room, but you can already drink in bars with coffee machines. Local alcohol, diluted, but tasty gin, you can drink beer. Pour into small glasses, buy 0.5 glasses in the store and they will pour you into them. They can pour reluctantly, but you need to insist.
BEACH
There is an entrance from the shore (very shallow) and from the pontoon, where the depth is about shoulder-deep. But there are low tides, the water can leave the shore completely, and it will be waist-deep from the pontoon. There is no reef, but you can find a place where you can swim. In January there was no strong wind, it was nice to swim and sunbathe, except for 2 days.
TERRITORY
It is written that one territory with HAWAII RIVIERA is true, but thanks to the labyrinths of green spaces, it is still a little divided, although you can walk everywhere. Many pools, only 1 was heated. The water park worked, there are many slides for every taste, but the water in the water park pool is not heated.
Near the hotel is not a desert, but there are shops, hotels, pharmacies, in general, if you need to buy something, you will find everything, not on the outskirts of the hotel. Taxi drivers are always waiting at the entrance, shouting at you and ready to take you anywhere.
Wifi in the lobby is bad. We bought a SIM card at the airport, everywhere I caught the mobile Internet perfectly.
The hotel building is like a small labyrinth, long, with passages. The elevators are also in need of repair.
For Egypt, an unusually green large area, it's nice to relax.
There are no significant downsides. The staff, like everywhere else, sometimes clingy, sometimes very polite.
If you are traveling in the cold season to bask in the sun, you will love it! If there was an option to go to another nearby country by the sea, then we would not go to this hotel, and to Egypt itself, in principle. It's all about the price, depending on what price to go for, I think that for 2 adults the price is $ 800 for 7 days - the normal price. Would have paid more - there would have been more questions to the hotel. Would you go again in the winter for the same money? I would go, everything was fine. You should not expect service from any hotel in Egypt like in Cyprus, Turkey or European countries.
Therefore, I do not understand the terrible reviews of other guests, maybe you paid the price 2-3 times higher, then I understand your dissatisfaction. But for such a cost as I paid, here it is completely price = quality, at least it was like that for us.

I didn't think about anything for 7 days. Animators, recreation areas. Drink at least fill up. The hotel is very large, but there are a lot of dark people - theirs (Arabs), but everyone is friendly, no conflicts. We came to them in the country, what can be expected. Moreover, this is the mainland of Egypt. If you ask if I would return to this hotel again - of course yes! I left with tears in my eyes - very beautiful, very emotional. I like it. Although I've heard mixed reviews. I don't agree. The hotel is very cool.

Terrible condition of the rooms...I would never give this hotel 5*, maximum 3, and even then with a stretch, and it's not about service... The hotel is focused on local Arabs, they are 99% here. And these are clearly not top managers of oil companies. Even the "only bikini" pools are filled with black Muslim hijabs, or whatever it's called. There are many, many of them, I have nothing against Muslims and Arabs, but I noticed that some of them themselves shunned fellow countrymen ...Everywhere there is a flea market, queues, mainly for “hamburgers” and french fries and grills.
The last straw was the boorish behavior of some employees at the distribution, who with undisguised contempt threw food into the plate! Or they themselves limited the amount of fruit, while the local population left the restaurant with full plates. By the way, you can’t take food out of the restaurant for everyone!

Of course, I am a positive person, and there was a “Russian pool”, where there were exclusively Russian-speaking and apparently Arabs who shunned their compatriots.

By the way, the sea is good! Sunset is sandy, but shallow, for kids a great option. Depth - you need to go along the pontoon pier 50-60 meters and there it is already up to my neck. There are places to swim. The sun loungers on the beach are wooden and ancient...Part of it is broken. You can always find free ones.

The hotel area is very beautiful and green, lots of pools, paths and palm trees, very beautiful!!
Previously, apparently, there was a beautiful illumination of all this, now only one of the four lamps is working, as in the hotel itself, apparently there is no longer enough money for light bulbs ...

As the guide from anex and the owner of the shop said, the hotel used to be good, while the Germans, Belgians, Italians, Russians were resting, in general the Europeans the hotel was good, then hard times began, they reduced the cost of living for accessibility to the local population, simplified service, cuisine, and the hotel was finished ...sorry .. .

Check-in: arrived at the hotel about 13 hours, immediately checked in and put on bracelets and went to dinner.
ROOM: the furniture is not new, but everything works. The refrigerator broke, but 20 minutes later another was brought. In the room kettle + coffee + tea + sugar + water replenish every day ...one bad thing is that there is no shampoo in the shower, so take it with you.
Cleaning is good, the cleaner wanted to clean every day, but we refused for a day, it made no sense ...thank you $ 1 and everything was good -)
NUTRITION: to avoid manipulation, see the photo, I see. The food was good ...at 4+, but it got a little worse when the Egyptians left ...Ramadan, and in general we were better off with them than when there were only ours "with brick peaks". Lots of sweets, beef, lamb, chicken ...even a couple of times goat or)), grilled daily, fish, turkey, liver and all this in different versions. For side dishes - pasta, pasta, spaghetti, couscous, rice in several versions and potatoes as well, many salads and sliced ​ ​ vegetables, various fruits. Those who are driven by lobsters ...you are not bad at a fish restaurant on site. Those who want to indulge in alcohol, I advise you to take with you. Last year, a tourist died from an alcohol overdose, and now they are diluting it even more for "our brother".
TERRITORY: large and beautiful ...a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and different types of greenery, clean area ..."licked" every day, even polished tiles. Adjacent to the Hawaii Riviera Hotel, there are many swimming pools. The sea is not so far, as someone writes ...150 meters, depending on which building you live in and do not forget that you are not 90 years old). The sea itself is really not deep, who will fit to the waist, then you to the border with another hotel on the right side, because the middle and left is even shallower ...or a pontoon, there is deeper.

I would like to give some chronology:
- 2017 - affordable price of rest, poor entry into the sea, GORGEOUS food, live music and interesting shows in the evenings, good updated rooms.
- 2019 (according to the spouse) - the sea has gone further from the coast, but the hotel administration has focused on service, in particular on service and food. Always different types of meat (including DUCK BREAST), a lot of side dishes, salads, etc. Often shrimp and other seafood.
- 2021 - the sea has gone even further, you can swim from a multi-colored pontoon, but it's hard to climb back on it, especially during high tide.
Now in more detail about the rest from 03/09/2021 to 03/19/2021. This time we were settled in the left wing of the building, in room 2426 - this is the 4th floor, overlooking the main pool. The room was received without additional payments, the porter was given a dollar, as they had done before. The number itself - quite to itself, in the spirit of Hawaii - slightly beaten, but tolerable. TV - Samsung LCD, 3 Russian-speaking channels - 2 news propaganda and TNT. There were no Ukrainian channels.
Nutrition. It turned out an interesting mix of portions and free access (like the usual All). Chefs stood near most of the dishes and poured them in portions. Biscuits-cakes - too, but towards the end of lunch / dinner, sweets could be taken on their own. I will say right away that the portion system did not upset us at all. Meat has always been chicken, turkey and lamb. Fish - 1 grade every other day, side dishes - beans, pasta of various types and rice. Fruits - oranges (whole and sliced), physalis (I have never tried it before, because all the time in Egypt it was autumn-winter, off-season), dates, melon, pomegranate (3-4 times a week), bananas (there were almost every day, but they were raked instantly, it seems that people have never seen bananas in their lives). Honestly - compared to 2017, the food has become WORSE. The coffee is DISGUSTING, even from the coffee machine at the bar.
Contingent. In less than 2 weeks, the change in the population of the hotel was dramatic. When settling, there were approximately 35% of the Arabs, 60% of ours (Ukraine) and approximately 5% of the EU and Belarus. At the end of the holiday, the Arabs became about 55-60%.
Children. They are dofiga, and the most interesting thing is that Arab children did not cause almost any discomfort, compared to Slavic children.
Pools. Of all the pools (and there are now about 10 of them, along with children's "paddling pools"), only 1 was heated, and the one for ADULTS. Guess who was there the most? That's right - CHILDREN))). It would be better if they turned on the heating on the main pool. But after lunch, all the pools warmed up enough to allow a normal dip and cool down (I wouldn’t swim for a long time).
SEA. It is not there, but this did not bother us, since it was far from the first time in Egypt, and we took excursions to see marine life.
guide and staff. The hotel guide has changed, prices from ANEX for excursions have fallen, so they didn’t take it from hand, but took a yacht for 30 and a safari for 25 each. Previously, guided tours were 2 times cheaper, now the difference is 5-10 dollars. The staff is friendly and smiling, they paid only 1 bucks to the porter, but they experimented with chocolates (for the first time ever). Chocolates were taken in the same way as bucks, once even a heart was rolled out of beach towels. In general, you can give money, you can chocolate, but you can give nothing))))
LIFE HACK for those who do not want to drink alcohol from 50 ml cups. At the bar, they pour it into their own container. We took 2 fresh for money (it was 3 bucks for a large glass, 5 for two glasses agreed). The capacity of the glass is about 0.5 liters, so they poured beer and rum-cola into them))) Bartender Said was given a chocolate bar at the pool bar, but I'm not sure that this had a strong effect, since he was initially very positive and normal.
Summary. For those who have seen the best days of the hotel, the trip now will be somewhat of a disappointment. Those who are in Hurghada for the first time and want to relax in a hotel with water slides, a bunch of pools, quite normal staff at an adequate cost - I definitely recommend it.

On 13.03 in the morning at 9.30 an unpleasant incident happened, namely, I fell, hurting my leg, slipping on a tile due to the fault of the hotel cleaner, who drives the water from the pool with a mop around and simply sweeps it through the steps leading to the path. Signs with the words "caution wet, slippery, etc. " was nowhere. In general, 3 hours in the first-aid post did not lead to anything, they just felt it for me, and we ourselves asked for ice at the bar and applied it. They all the time found out with the insurance who would pay for what, etc. After 3 hours, an ordinary car from the hospital arrived, I ate with this leg, sitting there, folding it up. They drove us to the hospital for an hour, it took a long time to process it, we paid a $30 deductible and finally sent us for an x-ray, did it, waited for the doctor - he said a fracture in the bone and a sprain and possibly something with the meniscus. Type on arrival, do an MRI and go to the traumatologist!
All medical care there in the hospital consisted of a simple dressing with an elastic bandage and, like, lying in a hotel and not taking it off for 2 weeks at rest at home. In general, rest is spoiled, health too. But that's not all. . . we asked the day before departure to extend the room for 6 hours before the transfer. Here the most interesting begins: not only did no one apologize to me for 2 days, did not call and did not come in, did not ask how I feel, and even when contacting the reception, we were told to pay extra. When we said that in my injury the fault lies entirely with the employee of their hotel, that we will have to spend money on treatment, a possible operation, recovery in our country, and that no one will wait at work, they began to argue with us and speak arrogantly in eyes to lie about the fact that "there was no water there", we have nothing to do with it. If you want to stay in a room, then pay money.
WHAT IS ANOTHER BEASTAL ATTITUDE TO PEOPLE? The manager lied so brazenly that there was no water there. My question is, were you there? There are so many witnesses who saw this whole action and my hellish screams are lying there from pain on the tile. He stood with a frostbitten look, denied everything, then turned away in a stupid way and left! I'm just shocked by how they reacted to the situation and shocked that we are not protected here! Vacation ruined, costs ahead and a long way to go to fix knee problems. And the most unpleasant day of getting home and to normal medical care.

Queues in bars and restaurants are specially arranged (the staff has nowhere to rush), one queue for tea, coffee, drinks, alcohol. Towels disappear after cleaning.
