I chose a hotel based on a small budget, but not less than 8 rating. Just for this hotel there was a promotion from Join Up for several days and at the same time the new year fell, which was also an important condition. Spoiler immediately: There were no surcharges for the New Year's Eve dinner, and at this price they offered lower-rated hotels + Gala dinner surcharge, which immediately made the total cost much higher.

I read the last review from a person who was with us at about the same time, I’m sure I could even recognize him by his face, because there weren’t too many people. Mostly at that time there were Slavic tourists (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus a little). I do not agree with the review, or rather I look at some of the described things from a completely different angle. About everything in order:
- Quote: "Check-in at the hotel: at the reception they extorted $20 for checking into a room overlooking the courtyard, they took $10. "
- indeed, upon arrival, they agreed to check us in earlier than expected (literate people know that this is 14-00 +/-) with the above-mentioned surcharge, but if you really ask, the surcharge could be reduced. We were settled for "thank you" and a chocolate bar was brought from the heart. But WE WERE CHECKED IN AND FEED HALF A DAY EARLY, which is really very cool, considering that we had a night flight and we were at the hotel around 7 in the morning. And we were able to relax and eat, and for this I am very grateful, so I consider this a plus (and by the way, for the price of the room, I can say that they could charge much higher for early check-in through the cash desk). Of the staff, only the porter was annoying by the fact that he brazenly demanded a tip.
- we also had a room in the courtyard, there is no sea view, maybe 3rd line (if I'm not mistaken), but the view of the pool is not always good, it's noisy in the evening, thanks to the tourists. And we have children and we wanted to sleep. The room was spacious enough, not ideal, but clean with comfortable beds (not the newest, but I knew that the hotel was not renovated) and still it was good enough, I can compare with 5 * were no better rooms. Everything worked out for me!
- upon arrival there were really few people, but they arrived every day and by the new year the number of tourists had probably increased 15 times. although it was still not crowded, which I liked, in the restaurant all the tables for the new year were occupied, but there was enough space for everyone.
- I quote: "Then the food is disgusting, they ate pasta, scrambled eggs, bread and fresh vegetables, the rest was tasteless and smelled bad. "
- at our first breakfast, it also seemed to me that there was a little food, but we came to the end of breakfast and there were not very many tourists that day, but already from lunch, I was absolutely satisfied with the choice of food, we visit Egypt often, I can say that the diet was adapted to European cuisine. There were a lot of fresh vegetables, for which we do not have a season at all, so this could not but rejoice us. Plus there was fish every day!! ! and not some kind, but mackerel or some other, I don’t remember its name, such a very soft white. Pasta (Pasta) for Egypt is a must, and this hotel is no exception, but it’s still quite well cooked, there was also chicken, duck (or turkey) and beef (cutlets) cooked in their own way, but quite tasty, even the children ate . For New Year's dinner they gave SHRIMP! And once again I ask you to note "no surcharges for dinner"!
and so on: potatoes, salads and sweets, mostly biscuits, from fruits: seasonal (tangerines, oranges, a little greenish melon, and guava, if I'm not mistaken in the name), strawberries were bought at a local store for $ 1
The waiters are a special section, very attentive and courteous, while not intrusive and did not require any tips. The very best of the staff.
- Next quote: "The entertainers are busy with themselves. The cold water pools 1 turned on the heating in the last 3 days. 1 slide worked 3 times for 15 minutes. "
- Animators - tried, and were not very intrusive, except for one girl who constantly pulled to the club. There was a kids disco, standard daytime entertainment which we skipped as we went to the beach, and every day after the mini disco there was a show and a disco at the adult bar! EVERY DAY and quite normal, I have seen discos in other hotels, believe me, very good!
The pools are cold (damn winter after all), but when the tourists arrived, they began to heat one up, we would swim there more often, but always drunk men often swam there, so they mostly enjoyed the sea. There are 4 pools on the territory (1 of them with 2 slides and one for children) out of 4 worked 2 (apparently not enough tourists). Cleaned every day. The slides really worked very little, to be honest: I never even got on a working slide. I consider the postscript "Aqua Park" undeserved. Probably one significant minus of the hotel.
- Quote: "The rooms are all dirty and dead, the cleaning was: they made the bed and put 2 bottles of water at 0.5. "
- Our room was described above, if I find a photo, I will definitely add it to the review, but at the expense of cleaning, I strongly disagree with the author: cleaning WAS DAILY!! ! everything was clean after cleaning, towels were folded, swans were wrapped (whether it was $1 or not) and 2 bottles of water were always delivered. This is just a plus!
And in principle, the entire territory of the hotel was well-groomed, some plants were sheared and undermined in our presence, but they did it quite imperceptibly, and everything was clean, tidy, the territory was small and closed, there was either no wind, or it was closed with buildings, just I'll try to find a photo.
It was difficult with transportation to the beach in the first days, apparently they didn’t expect tourists to arrive and there was only one bus, then they entered the recording, but not everyone was used to recording and there was not enough bus, I had to quarrel with a group of people, I could have put it as a fat minus, but The situation was quickly corrected and the mood improved. The beach itself is very good in Sharks Bay, there is a gentle entrance, corals and a pontoon up to 10 meters.
I heard that people really complained about mosquitoes, but we didn’t have them on the 1st floor, and in my opinion, someone flew by our friends on the 2nd floor. There was no disinfection. But it didn't bother me at all.
And the last thing, for the sake of which we went: New Year's dinner was much brighter than a regular dinner, we were greeted at the entrance with cocktails and a tunnel from the staff, and personally by the Owner of the hotel (the latter, by the way, was always among the guests and not only during dinner and was often interested, is everything good) at dinner were: SUSHI (though it would be a little to teach them how to do it))) but they were and I'm glad about it, Shrimps, meat fried in wine, several types of salted and smoked fish, in general, a lot to everyone, but grateful guests entered hurricane to the restaurant and demolished everything that was seen in the first 20 minutes, leaving more familiar food. During dinner, a violinist played (by the way, 2 times a week a violinist and a guitarist accompanied dinner) and there was a children's disco by the end of dinner, after which there was an adult disco with a solemn countdown of 12 hours and still lasted about 2 hours. I recently danced for the first time at New Year's Eve dinner. all the time we hung out with small children, so personally my family was delighted with such a holiday! I can say that it was one of the best New Year holidays in recent years. . . a lot ))
as a conclusion: it all depends on you and your attitude to rest, as well as the correspondence between the expected and the actual, in my case the second surpassed the first.
P. S. There is no Wi-Fi here AT ALL!! ! Only when buying a SIM card in a store (at the hotel), so take care of the SIM card in advance.

Check-in at the hotel: at the reception they extorted $20 for checking into a room overlooking the courtyard, they took $10. Out of 176 rooms, 3 rooms were occupied. Then the food is disgusting, they ate pasta, scrambled eggs, bread and fresh vegetables, the rest was tasteless and smelled bad. Fish 1 kind once a day stewed mackerel, sometimes chicken meat, sometimes incomprehensible meat chopped finely or small tyuftels.

The attitude of the rest of the staff is all on you. . . ! Animators are busy themselves. Pools with cold water 1 turned on the heating in the last 3 days. 1 slide worked 3 times for 15 minutes. And that's it. The rooms are all dirty and dead, the cleaning was: they made the bed and put 2 bottles. water by 0.5. Rest time wasted. Mosquitoes in the rooms, even if you kill them, the cleaners come open the windows, doors and it's impossible to sleep again.

The year of the pandemic, tests are needed in two directions, the prices are low, for 7 nights for 2 they paid $ 250. The question is, who pays for us? There are not many vacationers (30-40). There was enough food, soup, salads, fish, meat, chicken, desserts, drinks - everything was unlimited. We were taken to the beach 1 time! At 10:30, back at 13:30.

We were taken to the beach 1 time! At 10:30, back at 13:30.10 min. drive. After lunch in the pool, there are 2 slides, everything works. From 15:00 the animation until the night is very good. Michael is a cool and funny animator! Many thanks and also to all the staff!
I would like to wish more visitors so that the hotel can function and earn. Now is a difficult time for everyone, you can’t even pay for a flight for that kind of money, so if you highlight the minuses, then not for such low prices! Thanks to all!

They took a burning one, cost 12 thousand for two. We knew where we were going and how much money we gave, so we didn’t expect something “Wow”. There is no Internet at all, and we don’t need it. A small and cozy hotel, a bus takes you to the beach twice a day: at 8:30 and 9:30 to the beach and back at 12:30 and 13:30.

Once they took it at 14:00 (but the vacationers contacted the reception and gave moral, so the lunch was extended so that everyone would eat). The road to the beach takes about 10 minutes. An excellent beach, a gentle entrance for children and those who do not swim very much. There is a pontoon nearby and there is immediately a deep and gorgeous reef. There is also a cafe with nice prices (tables and chairs are painted white). Modest staff, no one asks for money and does not become impudent. They gave bad towels, we went to the reception and they changed us for better ones. The room is standard like everywhere else, like an albatross or a know name. Every day cleaning. The market is far away, but we went by public transport for shrimp and fruit))). Breakfast is the same every day, but we were not upset. (I saved the stock of shrimp), lunch and dinner are different (although a small selection, you won’t stay tasty and hungry). Alcohol is very tolerable (it used to be worse at times), beer is good. On the territory of the hotel there is a shop (chips, beer, fruit, sweets) at the same prices as in the city, in the market. For such a price, we are satisfied! Clean and comfortable hotel, normal cuisine, a good bar and a beautiful beach (I didn’t even bother that I had to take a bus). We enjoyed the sea and the sun.

I am writing this review because I sincerely do not want anyone to come across this place in their life. In short: THE HOTEL SHOULD BE CLOSED. They DO NOT observe SANITARY STANDARDS here (bugs / ants, no one wears masks and gloves at the time of the corona virus), they steal money, there is no service, there is no food.

And now in more detail.
There is no internet even at the reception.
1. Settlement.
We were at the hotel at 6 am. Naturally, they want an additional fee for early check-in. Already at the reception it became clear that the hotel
in a deplorable state. We refused to pay.
At about 7:30 we were given bracelets so we could have breakfast. We were seated around 10:00 am. Showed the 1st number, 2nd, 3rd... They are all old, the linen is dirty, the plumbing is not working everywhere. In the end, we were offered, according to the administrator, "the best room. "
2. Food.
Given that we have food intolerances (all dairy products, eggs, all legumes, gluten-containing foods, etc. ), there was practically nothing to eat. Okay, the first day the staff only found out about it, but on the second day the diet did not change for breakfast.
Breakfast: a lot of bread, eggs, sometimes jam or honey, feta and hard cheese (so-so taste), some tomatoes and cucumbers, sausage that crumbles, what it's really not clear from. Tea bags, coffee 3 in 1. That's it, every day.
Lunch and dinner: rice / pasta, chicken / liver / fish sometimes, dessert - 2 pieces of 2 * 2 cm dry biscuit and whipped cream or rice in milk, jelly. We don't drink alcohol, but I wouldn't risk trying it there.
3. Service.
Some of the staff are trying. Someone pretends to be vigorous activity and problem solving. Someone frankly hates their job. Waiters cannot bring a dish that simply does not exist. The manager pretends to be very interested in resolving the issue.
In fact, he doesn't care at all.
4. Numbers.
Old, dead, stains on the linen, stains on the tulle, the faucet in the sink falls off, the shower no longer switches to the faucet, there is mold. The cabinets seem to be just shelves in a pantry.
There is no shampoo, I bought it at a local store. Then they brought us "shampoo" poured into a bottle of water. Did not try.
5. Beach.
You are taken on an old bus (in which there are allegedly no seats and you need to sign up in advance) 15 minutes to the beach 1 time per day. From 9:00 to 14:00.
There are two approaches to the sea - from the shore and from the pontoon. The reef is good. There is also a pier with yachts. On the beach, a paid restaurant with food is also not very tasty (according to other vacationers).
6. The most tin.
Either bugs or ants bit me. Bites on all legs, starting with the feet and ending with the buttocks. The administrator replied, "By the way, I didn't find any bug in your room. "
We were supposedly moved to the best room. With dirty curtains, which were then changed to dirty ones again and the edge was washed in a bucket without removing it from the window. Other guests were also bitten. Their money was stolen. 60 dollars out of 120. They called the police, then pretended to find this bill by the pool and returned it.
The note was not the same.
These are not the first cases in this hotel, as we found out later.
We did not expect Rixos for that kind of money, but we were not going to live in a "barn" either. You could put up with everything, but the insects in the bed is already too much.
We moved to another hotel for a fee.

I WANT YOU TO READ MY REVIEW, OF COURSE, IT'S INTERESTING IN THE END. 1. Settlement. In order to settle immediately, you need to pay $ 20, if from 09:00 - $ 10. 2. Wi-fi - no, it is simply not in the hotel at all, even at the reception. 3. The area is small but clean, it can be seen that they take care of it.

The only thing is that the pools are unheated, the water is cold.
4. Room - normal, the drain system worked, the water was warm, but some rooms were not. There is no hair dryer - there was nothing to dry your hair.
Cleaning is the main thing for me.
During the rest period the bed in the room has not changed once. A mosquito was crushed to check - the trail remained. Towels, too, I doubt they changed. They always left a present for the cleaner, the only thing that was done by twisting the figures, that's all. There was a safe in the room - it's free, but we'll tell you the price we paid for it later.
5.
Food - I recommend not eating rice at home for a month, because here you will eat it for lunch and dinner. We asked for a menu, but as it turned out, it is not here, the food is the same for everyone, there is no choice, what you cook, you eat. It was impossible to replace at least rice with potatoes or pasta or other cereals, well, at least with something with that meat or fish, well, + salad.
For dessert they brought veins and everything, there was nothing more sweet. When asked for some dessert other than zhila (cake, cake, at least something else), they said no.
There was no fruit at all, none.
Once they asked for coffee - they said no too.
Alcohol is local, you have to wait a long time, as the administration said, began to move a little and bring faster.
Although vacationers can be counted on the fingers, very few, about 20 people in the whole hotel.
And always something was missing.
6. The sea - the beach itself is good, but it's not 2 lines for sure, it still needs to go by bus 20 minutes.
Departure from the hotel once at 09:00 and at 14:00 is taken away. So to go, you need to check in at the hotel, that tomorrow you want at sea and you are given a coupon.
Sunbeds are free on the beach, but if you want something to eat, the cafe is paid, ie there is nothing from the hotel.
There are no drinks and no water either. So take it with you. We also took fruits that we bought ourselves (mango, strawberry) - you can buy cheap.
7. III, long-awaited departure.
In short, it's a nightmare, you could have scolded, but I will not, I'm a little away from it all.
Let's go back to the free safe from which $ 100 was STOLEN from us. Thank you for not taking all the money, taking only 100 and leaving 160, decent ...
They turned to the reception, told about it, and they said that this could not be, and it is clear that they do not want to understand. People also left with us, so they have the same thing, someone lost 50.100, 150 dollars, so we are not alone.
Each time they checked for money and documents, everything was in place. Everything happens on the last day, when you have to go home and no one even thinks about that safe, because it was still normal for 8 days. So be careful not to leave money in the safe. It's just that we were already in Egypt in other hotels and left money, everything was fine, I thought the same here, but ...alas.
Therefore, I do not recommend the hotel, because if I knew what would happen, it would be better to put that $ 100 and fly to another hotel, there were better options.
MORE TALKING, JUST HORROR: (((((
WE HAVE ALREADY HAD A HEDGEHOG, THE SEA, BUT THE THEFT HAS CHANGED THE PROPERTY ABOUT THE HOTEL IN GENERAL, I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I HOPE I WILL DEAL WITH THIS, BUT I DOUBT.
I WANT YOU TO KNOW AND BE WARNED.
1. Settlement.
In order to settle immediately, you need to pay $ 20, if from 09:00 - $ 10.
2. Wi-fi - no, it is simply not in the hotel at all, even at the reception.
3. The area is small but clean, it can be seen that they take care of it.

I really don't understand where the good reviews come from. Perhaps everything was different before the pandemic. In Egypt for the sixth time. There is something to compare. So straight to the point. Worst hotel I've been in. It's not all inclusive or 4 star. More like half board with 1-2 stars. 1. Sea. To the sea it is declared - 1 kilometer.

1. Sea. To the sea it is declared - 1 kilometer. Maybe, but there is no beach. The beach is 12 kilometers from the hotel. You need to go by bus, about 15 minutes. The bus goes once a day - to the sea at 10.00, back at 14.00.
2. The beach itself. It's called Charks Bay. Old dead sun loungers. Gray pebbles. There is no sand at all. The beach is small, they don’t let you in for the buoys, you won’t swim much, although we swam under the indignant waving of our hands and the whistle of some Arab. Corals are boring, nothing to see. Yachts are moored very close. There's a break all around. In general, for beautiful photos, do not come here.
3. Numbers. We try not to be there at all))). The ceiling flows and falls off in pieces, the tiles are cracked, dust and rust. The sink is leaking. We put 2 towels for our feet, by the night we are still stomping in a puddle. Hot water happens for an hour in the morning around 9 and two hours in the evening, from 5-6 to 7-8 approximately. And not every day. Huge old TV, maybe even working. The towels are old and gray, sometimes with a strange smell. Sheets and blankets are old, sometimes with holes and stains. Windows-doors on the 1st floor - the exit from the balcony to the street is not closed. Or close, but not in all rooms.
4. Hotel. Small. Old. There is no greenery, everything is dry and lifeless, fantanchiki do not work. Very few people. When we arrived in all hotels there were 2 couples (including us) and 1 family with a child. Maybe that's how we got there. The hotel is in a wasteland. Sand and ruins all around, 15-20 minutes to the city. No wifi
5. Cleaning. Sometimes they forget to leave towels. You have to run after them. Bottled water - give out 0.5 per person per day. It's very hard to ask for more.
6. Buffet. OOOO. He is not. They bring food. You sit down and they bring you something in plates. No choice. To be fair, the food is delicious. Sometimes))). Breakfast - buns, 3 slices of sausage and cheese, an egg, half a tomato and half a cucumber, chopped. Every day is the same. They bring honey or sauces for breakfast. It really helps to diversify your diet.
Lunch and dinner. Rice is always given, of all colors and types on the floor of the plate. Sometimes potatoes and pasta. Meat and chicken are quite tasty. Soups, mostly edible, once were very tasty.
Any additional restaurants announced by the hotel are closed.
7. Bar. As everywhere. Works near the reception and on the beach. On the sea is also available, but paid. Alcohol is standard. There is everything, poured drop by drop. If you treat your alcohol a couple of times, they pour it well and beautifully. Make cocktails and decorate. You have to ask for beer. They say he doesn't exist. If you quarrel, then beer appears. Half a glass, but still, only at lunch and in the evening. Bar type around the clock, but at 12 it closes.
8. Animation. She is not. BUT! There was a show one evening.
9. Pool. Cool) And two slides, sometimes they even turn on and they work.
10. Staff. If you agree - there are pretty cute. The director is an extremely unpleasant and aggressive character.
Pluses can always be found, but not in this hotel. Have a good rest and, if possible, not in this hotel.

We chose this hotel because we were here 5 years ago and the price more than suited us. Only a third of the hotel works, the rest is under reconstruction. The beer ended at lunchtime, and the last 3-4 days there was no beer at all. Animation more or less from what could be organized in this hotel. Trips to the beach are sheer agony.

Only a third of the hotel works, the rest is under reconstruction.
The beer ended at lunchtime, and the last 3-4 days there was no beer at all.
Animation more or less from what could be organized in this hotel.
Trips to the beach are sheer agony. For all the time we went to the beach only three times.
But the worst thing is bed bugs. They bit me, my wife and two children. The problem is that we brought them home. Now we deduce, but it is very difficult.

My first acquaintance with this beautiful country happened this spring and immediately on target. My first acquaintance with this beautiful country happened this spring and immediately on target. I am not a big expert on hotels, and when I arrived at Palmyra Amar El Zaman Aqua Park, I did not find any obvious shortcomings and, in principle, I did not look for them, there is everything for a good rest. Well-groomed and beautiful area, spacious room, beautiful view from the balcony to the hotel, mini-fridge, safe and hair dryer were available, cleaning every day.
On the territory of the hotel there are shops with reasonable prices, in order to skimp more substantially, you can use the services of a taxi or local minibuses to get to the city center.
But the most important thing for me and the most pleasant thing was the attitude of the hotel staff towards vacationers, always smiling, making your stay as comfortable as possible, the mood is on top of the whole vacation.
Since the hotel is located on the 2nd coastline, we were taken to the sea by a bus that ran on schedule and had to be booked in advance, maybe someone did not like it, but it was not a big problem. The sea is so clean, transparent, swimming with a mask is a pleasure, the feeling that you are swimming in a huge aquarium, although you can see fish and corals even without a mask. The beach is clean, there are sun loungers with umbrellas.
The food at the hotel is delicious, definitely no one will go hungry.
Animators were engaged in our leisure time, everything was wonderful, fun, unobtrusive.
The only drawback is the lack of Wi-Fi, well, this problem can be solved, you need to buy an Internet SIM card.
In general, I recommend the hotel, I was satisfied. I want to come back again.

The only downside of the hotel is the 2nd shoreline and lack of infrastructure near the hotel, the bus is scheduled and you need to book it the day before, not convenient, because you often forget on vacation that you need to take a coupon to the sea, bus to the beach in Sharks Bay area, 15 minutes. The food for the 4 * hotel is good, you will not stay hungry, the next day for dinner there were dishes on the grill, the area is well maintained, the staff is friendly, for the early settlement at 6 am paid $ 20 including breakfast.
