At 12.00 we gave the keys, we had a transfer at 15.00, but at the same time you have no right to eat. And this is a five star hotel. I've never experienced anything like this and I hope it was the first and last time.
To my indignation, the manager brazenly answered me that then he would not accept our departure if we did not return the bracelet. This is such loyalty to the guests
The hotel is definitely good price and first line.
Good food, for a modest 4, but again, see above - the price we had was excellent.
The rest of course 5 does not pull.
Animation is very weak, it is practically non-existent. Neither for adults nor for children. The evening show is weak, the music in the column is terrible, the animators are obviously lazy and do everything to get off.
There is no music at the bar, which I also encounter for the first time. Also, only from 12.00 there will be French fries and a hamburger, that is, from 10 to 12 there is no food. If you have breakfast at 8, you will wait a long time and will definitely get hungry.
Wi-fi is exclusively paid: many guests found out about it on the spot and were unpleasantly surprised. I bought roaming right away.
The rooms are tired but spacious and large. This is a plus.
There is a hair dryer, a set of jars replenished once upon arrival. There are no slippers.
Water was also topped up on arrival. They didn't give any more. There is a cooler on the floor - you can dial it.
Our room 443 smelled of stale cat meat. It feels like the cat did its job on the sofa or carpet and it was never removed. In the rooms of friends, however, there was no smell. The views from the rooms are beautiful, on the sea.
The territory is small, but not the fact that this is a minus, because it is fast to go from the beach to the room. They try to green the territory, but very weakly. The neighbors in Safaga have shams, 4 stars, and even that is greener.
The beach is wide. Sand. The entrance is great for kids. To get to the depth you have to go for probably 5-7 minutes. Of course, you will not see fish and corals near the shore, that is, diving is not here.
The transfer to the hotel was individual, we arrived in 30 minutes. Back transfer was hotel and it took 2 hours! The bus drove in circles around Soma Bay picking up people. For children, such a transfer will be very tiring - keep in mind.
To summarize, I would give 5 for only 1 line. The rest is 3 plus.
But another huge plus of this hotel is of course the price. I don’t know how it was at other times, but we flew very profitable and in excellent company, and therefore turned a blind eye to many things.
Therefore, if you buy this hotel cheaply, the minuses will not spoil your mood.
We rested in this hotel from August 19 to August 31.2019 with my wife and a child of 6 years. There was a hot TEZZ price - 1500+$ for 12 nights with 3 people with an early arrival and a late departure. The complex is located in the Safaga area, from Hurghada airport the road took a little less than an hour. There is always wind, heat +40 is easily transferred with the wind. Lots of paragliders and surfers.
Arrived early, arrived at the hotel around 8 am. When asked about the possibility of early check-in, the porter replied that this was excluded, even for an extra charge, wait for 14-00. The bracelets were put on at 10-30 and released into the bar - to drink coffee and tea. This attitude was also towards the Arabs and the Czechs and the Germans, who arrived early. That is, we were simply not allowed to have breakfast. They argued that it takes time to clean up. And the hotel is full.
When leaving - according to the rules check out before 12-00. And they cut the bracelets off their hands. Late check-out until 15-00 - offered for 20 euros per adult. Until 18-00 - 25 euros per adult. For this money you can stay in the room and dine. Dinner is not included. We refused - for lunch on the day of departure they asked to pay in a restaurant - $ 8 per adult. From 12 to the bus you can use the infrastructure - the beach, the pool and do not hand over beach towels. Bags from 12 to the bus were stored in the storage room. They said that they have a shower - if you need to swim and change before the bus. But we swam in the pool from 12 to the bus.
ROOM. Everything is wooden, but old. You can live. The door opens with a key - no cards for you. TV flat 32 inches. We watched a couple of series from a flash drive. They gave the number g25 - at the ground level with access towards Shams Safaga and water slides. The handle fell off in the chest of drawers - screwed it on. There is no toilet brush in the bathroom. There is a hair dryer. The room is big. A cot was later brought for the child. There were no towels - they brought them in a couple of hours (I think this is such an easy tip extortion). There was a safe.
HOTEL. Very compact. It looks like it was once a richly built hotel. Lobby with a stained-glass window in the entire ceiling, many pools - including children's ones. restaurants and bars. smoking in the lobby. Trestle beds on the beach - wooden, well-worn, on them - such pillows made of leatherette - VERY CONVENIENT, even though they are not new.
Beach towels - most of them are old, need to be replaced, but there are also quite fresh ones. Immediately a hint - on the right, behind the "SPA center" - there is a mini-water park of the neighboring hotel of the same chain, you can go there for free to ride the slides, and there is a paddling pool for children.
Children's animation - we sometimes went only to the mini-disco at 20-30 in the evening. The animators are trying, but the program is hackneyed and very busy. In addition, right behind the amphitheater, where the disco sewer passes, sometimes it was simply covered with the smell of sewage. there is also a playground nearby - it's just old, it needs to be changed.
SEA: the sea, in principle, was the decisive factor why we chose this hotel after all. It is warm and clean. Starts immediately from the pools and pool bar. The beach is sandy, the bottom - mostly too. In this place, there is a natural shallow - even with a small child, you can go 150-200 meters into the sea, shallow. Further there is a sandy beam, where at low tide there is generally ankle-deep water, and already behind it the depth begins, and there are even several half-dead coral islands at the bottom. In general, it is safe to play with children in the sea, and swim to see fish, corals, jellyfish.
FOOD: You can get used to food. The choice is not so great (compare with other trips to Egypt), they cooked beef and chicken normally. Often on the street grill - lyulya, pizza, fried fish. Breakfast is ok - eggs and fried omelettes, vegetable salads, fruit salad, cereal, pastries - strudel, muffins and so on. For lunch there were always 2 soups, fried fish, beef, potatoes, rice, salads. You can choose delicious ones. There was always something delicious to eat for dinner. The pastry is very tasty. And different.
During the day, the snack bar is open by the pool 13-15 (french fries and a couple of hamburgers, hot dogs / sandwiches, fresh vegetables, ketchup). Snacks in it - exactly at the same time as lunch in the main restaurant. There is no drinking water in the rooms;
Cleaning: DAILY in the rooms there, the staff is friendly.
Guests: the hotel has a lot of people from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, enough local Arabs and met a few - from Russia.
SUMMARY: The hotel is clearly not 5 *, as it is offered by many tour operators, rather a weak 4. The hotel needs renovation and better food. It is worth going here if there is a good price and if you need a shallow sea with a sandy bottom and a convenient entry.
Excursions - we went on a VIP boat (a large yacht and 20 people in total) for diving. Adult - 60. Child - 30. And ATVs, buggies, camels with Bedouins (25 adults, 15 children). Bedouin - nothing. All these tea parties, camels, massages, herbs - everything is tiring, unsanitary and expensive.
Overview to Hurghada - looked at the mosque and the Marina promenade. Well, they brought soaring oils to the shopping center. How could it be without it. All these oils can be bought in Ukraine - all stories about originality are lies and provocations. Everything is checked for coffee and tea and oils - everything is sold there is the most common.
The complex is located in the Safaga area, the road from Hurghada Airport took a little less than an hour, along the way they brought more people to two hotels.
Arrived early, arrived at the hotel at dawn, around 5 am. When asked about the possibility of early check-in, the porter replied that this was excluded, even for an extra charge, wait for 14-00. They put on the bracelets at 10-30, that is, we missed breakfast. Despite the fact that some of the guests were evicted before our eyes in the morning, they were in no hurry to give us rooms. Only closer to 13-00, the porter who had already changed by name, if I'm not mistaken, Hossan gave us a key with the words "this is a standard room, see what you don't like there - then call, we'll look for another one for extra money. "
We got number 339, on the third floor - a view of the roof of the lobby and the sea. The latch is broken from the inside, one of the bedspreads on the bed is burnt by a cigarette, the beds are separate, although we had a double bed in the reservation. Although I note that the area of the room is large. He's just tired, he needs repairs and new furniture. The air conditioner was fine.
Another option - was on the 4th floor in the left wing of the building (if you look towards the sea) - windows - to one of the pools, the sea and a neighboring hotel of the same network. And we might have agreed to extort the porter in the form of a $ 40 surcharge to him in your pocket, if that room did not have a persistent smell of dampness, rotting. So, we stayed in the originally proposed room 339.
Infrastructure: it is clear that once it was a richly built hotel. Lobby with a stained-glass window in the entire ceiling, many pools - including children's ones. restaurants and bars. I did not like the smell of tobacco in the lobby - from the 24-hour bar it smells of cigarettes, and people often smoke in the lobby itself. Trestle beds on the beach - wooden, well-worn, on them - such pillows made of leatherette. comfortable, but they are old and often torn.
Beach towels - most of them are old, need to be replaced, but there are also quite fresh ones. Immediately podstakzka - on the right, behind the "SPA center" - there is a mini-water park of a neighboring hotel of the same chain, you can go there for free to ride the slides, and there is a paddling pool for children. Unexpectedly, the elevators turned out to be a problem - they are old, with broken floor indicators, in a week I personally saw how they were repaired three times in the middle of the day, often I had to run up the stairs, because. the elevators didn't work.
There are foot washers at the exit from the beach, but they are often clogged.
Sea: the sea, in principle, was the decisive factor why we chose this hotel after all. It starts right from the pools and pool bar. Epschany beach, the bottom - mostly too. They say sometimes a turtle comes, but we didn't see it. We saw clown fish, scorpion lionfish (poisonous, do not touch), guitar stingray, sea urchins at a depth
Food: and if you get used to slightly outdated interiors, then here's the food - overshadowed the trip. The choice is not so great (compare with other trips to Egypt), they cooked beef and chicken normally. The rest is conditionally cooked, but most often tasteless. Even potatoes managed to be undercooked. There was a good grill menu, but it is about once every 3 days. Fruit evening was caught twice - 4 pieces of watermelon for the first time and the same amount of melon for the second.
The breakfasts were especially poor, except for eggs / omelettes and pancakes there is nothing special. And then, when the queue is long, the guy took out a tray with pre-fried cold pancakes, rubbery and tasteless. Falafel, which I fell in love with in Egypt, in Sharm, was inedible here. In addition, the power mode itself is built in such a way that it looks more like not AI, but FB. The power supply is not interceptive, but parallel. From the end of breakfast to breakfast from 7 to 10 am, lunch from 13 to 15, dinner from 19 to 22.
During the day there is a snack bar by the pool, but it does not intercept hungry tourists between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks in it - exactly at the same time as the ober in the main restaurant.
There is no drinking water in the rooms, we bought it ourselves. Since there is almost no desert around the hotel, there are practically no shops, drinking water had to be taken from one of the shops in the lobby - 1 dollar or 20 Egyptian pounds for one and a half liters of water.
Cleaning:
There is cleaning in the rooms, the staff was friendly, a couple of times they left them a dollar or two for tea, but they stopped, because for this money they, of course, made the beds and twisted swans out of blankets once! , But towels, despite the request, for three there they gave two large ones and two for legs and changed them only once in a week, partially - only large ones. There were toiletries in the bathroom. Since the entrance to our rooms is from an open gallery overlooking the desert, mountains and sunset, there are a lot of geckos crawling in this gallery in the evenings, such small lizards, a couple climbed into the room.
Guests:
The hotel has a lot of people from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, enough local Arabs and met a few - from Russia.
SUMMARY: The hotel is clearly not 5 *, as it is offered by many tour operators, rather a weak 4. The hotel needs renovation and better food. It is worth going here if there is a good price and if you need a shallow sea with a sandy bottom and a convenient entry.
Settlement was not fast. We arrived at 6:30 and at the reception we were told to wait until 12 o'clock in the afternoon. The wait was very difficult, even water was not offered (there is something to compare).
The sea is very clean, warm. Rooms are very spacious.
Food is monotonous, but you will not be hungry. One drawback - there is no free Wi-Fi.
I didn't like the way Abram's guide worked at this hotel! But if you do not take into account the shortcomings, I recommend the hotel for a family vacation!
