Rested with a friend at the Tobya Boutique hotel at the end of January. We chose the hotel according to our pocket, with the expectation of going on a couple of excursions. Everything that was read about this hotel on the Internet and heard on the tour. agency, it was perfect for us. The hotel is small, cozy and very quiet. The room we got was very nice, spacious, overlooking the sea and the pool. The design of the room is very interesting and unusual - there are beautiful paintings on the walls, the wall at the head of the bed is lined with natural stone and a wooden floor unusual for Egypt. Furniture, bathroom in very good condition. The room was cleaned regularly. The service at the hotel was very good. Staff - friendly, friendly Egyptians. There was no entertainment at the hotel. The food is good. The tables, of course, were not bursting with abundance, but you could always eat normally. We have never been hungry. Beef, chicken and fish have always been on the menu. Several types of potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables. There were 5-6 types of sweets, we had enough. But there were very few fruits - oranges, bananas, dates and melons. There was also fruit salad every day. Sea and beach are great. The beach is large and well-groomed, there are a lot of sun loungers. You can get to the sea and the beach by going through an underground tunnel. The coast is rocky and sandy, and almost immediately corals begin. The fish are very different. Be sure to use coral slippers! Excursion to Israel (1 day) and super moto safari booked at home. Having climbed the Internet, we found a good site for a local tour. company Eva tours, where they learned everything in detail, looked at prices and even talked. We paid everything right before the tours. I will share the address evatoursegypt dot com, we were satisfied with the service and organization. It fully justified its 4 stars. We don't eat too much, so we liked the hotel. The weather was wonderful, the sea, as always, warm. And we had a great rest. Otherwise, we simply do not know how. I hope that my review will help someone in choosing a hotel.

Good day to all! We visited Taba from November 20-30. Tobya boutique hotel - normal, not big, well located - closed from the wind by a mountain range, the views around the hotel are crazy, I saw something similar in Kemer, but there are mountains covered with pines, and sandy here - but also very beautiful! The room was cleaned normally, plumbing worked properly, we did not need air conditioning.

The room was cleaned normally, plumbing worked properly, we did not need air conditioning. The sea is across the road, a tunnel was laid under the road, so there were no problems crossing the road! The food is normal, there is enough meat, the son leaned on sweets. The hotel is very quiet and calm, there is no entertainment. Therefore, if someone cares about this topic, it is better to choose a more cheerful hotel. We were quite satisfied with a beach holiday, relaxing by the pool, trips on excursions - the border is not far - we went to both Israel and Jordan, it’s also not far from Cairo - we also went there - we planned for a long time and could not get together. The trip turned out to be rich, interesting, a beach holiday mixed with an active one - this is exactly what I wanted! I advise booking the hotel to tourists who want to combine an active sightseeing holiday with a quiet, comfortable stay in a hotel. . Have a nice holiday!

I warn you right away, I have been to Egypt more than once. The HOTEL is located in a pleasant, wind-protected location. And this is perhaps the only plus. Feeling abandoned and useless. There are two pools on the territory - one blooms, stinks and is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, the second is cold, without heating, indeed, as they wrote here earlier, it is used by tourists to rinse their feet after the beach.

During the week of staying at the hotel, only once was a whip boy who was catching obvious garbage with a net.
Every other day, at five in the evening, prophylaxis against insects is carried out. Run! Run urgently to the rooms, wall up the doors and windows. It is still possible to survive fumigation with kerosene, but when they kill ants, splashing an incomprehensible liquid under their feet, this is UNBEARABLE!
All ROOMS overlook the Gulf of Aqaba. ALL! Naturally, the view from the third floor is more picturesque than from the first. Attention of those who still decide to go to this hotel and who will be accommodated on the first floor - the balcony door DOES NOT CLOSED. There is no safe in the rooms, as well as a hair dryer, if you rely on a kettle, it is not here either. The bathrooms are in a terrible state, the water is yellow, be careful with things - it leaves rusty spots. You can drain it (water), but it's not at all fast. A hot ode, if suddenly there is, then this is real boiling water - be careful. Cleaning in the rooms, the boys are diligent and wind the swans and scatter the petals, but the floors are washed with a smelly rag, dirty water and water is not particularly collected, the tables are not trained to wipe at all. But unobtrusive. Cleaning the veranda-balcony adjacent to the room is a separate song, it is not cleaned, i. e. bottles, garbage and even hookahs (which can be ordered in a cafe and brought to you directly "at home") will be removed on the third or fourth day.
The BEACH is located a hundred meters from the building, the passage through an underground tunnel. Half of the sun loungers are physically worn out, the entrance to the water is only in special slippers. The water is clean, but there are plenty of unkind living creatures. The only person in the hotel who honestly performs his duties is only a whipboy, although not such a fight anymore. You get towels without cards, only on the beach, you can take them to the pool. Leave it wherever you like. On the beach, in the left corner, it is customary to walk camels, which diligently piss the territory and the smell is appropriate.
FOOD. Normal food is missing as a class. It is not recommended to be late for breakfast, dinner, food is scarce and not enough for everyone. Don't expect variety. He is not. Dinner is prepared long before seven o'clock - wrapped in foil and served slightly warmed up. Vegetables are not washed, i. e. cucumbers and tomatoes are usually served with the ground. The salad is the same story. Fruits - tangerines, guava (beaten and rotten). Baking is not enough and it is also recommended to hurry. There are cafes and bars on the territory, but they DO NOT WORK. You can eat at lunch only in Diener, the leftovers from breakfast for crazy money - the average bill per person is $ 30 (in the Hilton, two km away, pizza is $ 10).
ENTERTAINMENT. There are two of them in the hotel - find food outside the territory and carry it into the territory. You can find it a kilometer from the hotel towards the border with Israel, there is a small market - you can buy water, doshirak-type noodles (a very valuable find, by the way), some fruits. NO BEER! Those. You can buy it only in the first two days of your stay in the country in duty-free on the territory of the Hilton hotel. Smuggling the loot into the hotel without a scandal is UNREAL. But probably. Sunsets across the beach are perfectly visible to the guards. Bags are shuffled and baksheesh is required. But you don't have to give it. A piece of paper written by kind tourists will be poked into the nose, on which it is written that it is absolutely impossible to bring water, juices and beer into the territory. I still don’t understand what bananas and noodles have to do with it : ). In this case, it is recommended to make a scandal with a trip to the hostess of the hotel Nadine. She allows you to carry everything except beer. Those. strong alcohol, juice, fruits, etc. , bring it.
On the whole and in general. If you go, then only with a company and only ready for all of the above. The hotel is three stars with an interference. At the same time, choose a flight through Taba, and only inexpensively. Take a kettle/kettle with you. Do not take children, there is nowhere for them to have fun. It is almost impossible to endure all this for more than three days.

The hotel is normal, 4 stars does not pull of course. This is where all normal ends. The food is terrible (monotonous, no fruits, spoiled vegetables were often served, milk was diluted with water right in front of the tourists). Prices on site are terribly high (both for drinks, food, and souvenirs). If you can go buy souvenirs on the territory of the Hilton hotel, then with food and drinks it’s another matter - it’s forbidden to bring water, juices and food into the hotel (on what basis - they didn’t explain to us, they couldn’t get a meeting with the manager).

For example, they took a box of beer from us, explaining that it was not an alcoholic drink (which you can bring in), apparently they had water. They argued for 2 days until they gave it back. After this incident, they added that it was still impossible to carry beer. Thanks to us, they dropped the price of water (we also fought for a couple of days), it was $ 3, they did it from 10 to 12 in the morning for $ 1, and the rest of the time it was $ 2. A pack of juice is worth it. . . $10. A can of beer $4 ($1 in doti fries at the Hilton). In the evening there is no program, either to go somewhere (to the Hilton) or to sleep. Girls alone are not recommended to go outside the hotel. You will not find fruits during the day with fire (except for bananas). Nothing in the room but towels and soap. In our check-in, ALL tourists were unhappy.

Cons, the same type of breakfasts and dinners, but this is the norm for Egypt. Killed the price for smoking a hookah - $ 2, well, we smoked a year ahead. Inexpensive souvenir shop, the guys have just opened and are still a little depang. Disco is just an excuse, unless you yourself, of course, turn on the lights of a big city. The entrance to the sea is mined by sea urchins and an obstacle course in the form of coral, everyone walks in slippers. Although we were without - thank God they were not blown up. The view from most of the rooms on neighboring Israel and Jordan across the bay. Mosquitoes still lived in the room with us, but then we agreed with them not to touch each other. I recommend it to everyone and remind you that your holiday is made festive by the hotel, and you yourself : ))

The hotel lives up to what it claims to be. I liked the design - in ten days I didn’t get tired of walking and taking pictures of everything around. I liked the quiet and peaceful environment. For relaxation - this is what you need. With the arrival of a new manager, the food has become more varied and tastier.

With the arrival of a new manager, the food has become more varied and tastier. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of tea (water) at dinner. If the same tea was sold for $1, not $2, then people would buy it, otherwise only Arabs and "foreigners" would buy it.
My room was always clean, linen changed, towels too. I didn't have mosquitoes or ants. Cockroaches, for sure, lay dead in the corridor, it seems that they were poisoned.

The hotel is in line with the reviews. It is really very quiet, pretty, with a lot of greenery, located near the sea, but without frills. Pros: 1. Pros:
1. Location and compactness - a quiet place without outsiders (whom the hotel security would not let in anyway), the beach is located immediately across the road - a very nice underground passage leads to it;
from any place in the hotel to the dining room and reception a maximum of 40-50 meters and from the dining room to the beach the same amount, i. e. going to the room for something from the beach or from the dining room is not a bummer. The road is separated from the beach and the hotel by a fence and fairly dense plants - so its proximity is not felt, in addition, cars do not appear often.
But at the same time, "civilization" is not far away - the Hilton hotel and a bus station with several shops (by taxi a couple of minutes $ 2, on foot 20-25min).
2. Silence - it often seemed that there was no one there except my family, although night trips on excursions and the arrival and departure of guests sometimes interfered. In comparison with a large hotel, the complete absence of fuss, which was very relaxing and made it possible to relax and escape from the usual whirlwind of affairs and worries. We got used to it so quickly that we couldn’t relax on the beach at the Hilton because of the constant scurrying back and forth of people.
3. The hotel is very cozy and nice with lots of greenery. The interior of the hotel is made in a peculiar style very well, in my opinion, complementing the exotic palms and desert mountains.
4. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusive - it does not interfere with rest, although sometimes I would like a little faster response to requests. But I was ready for the fact that in Egypt everything is done slowly, with laziness, and quickly got into this rhythm - but where to rush? I didn’t come to work : ).
5. Nice beach with a lot of greenery, a few awnings and umbrellas, and a sufficient number of sun loungers, while in the nearby Hilton and Movenpick at 9 there was already nowhere to lie down.
6. Close location to Israel and Jordan, and to the Egyptian sights to go as much as from Sharm.
Minuses:
1. The absence of a pontoon - corals are 5-10 meters from the shore, the depth is small and therefore you can enter the water only in places where corals are cut down, but even there it is very inconvenient to enter at low tide. My wife especially did not like it, so we spent several days on the beach in the Hilton - the beach and especially the entrance to the sea is much better there, but the crowds of people and the lack of free sunbeds.
2. A very late dinner at 19.30 in the absence of lunch and the onset of dusk at 17 - 17.30 was annoying. Also the dinner menu was much more varied than the breakfast menu. But such is the rhythm of life among the Arabs - in the evening their life is just beginning.
3. Skudnoe menu in the restaurant. Although in this heat, I didn’t really want to dine. It is quite possible to get by with a sandwich with tea. To do this, be sure to take a kettle or kettle with you.
4. I would like a more varied menu, although it was enough.
5. The staff understands Russian (Ukrainian : ) very poorly, and compatriots, of course, do not speak English. This introduces certain difficulties in communication: "I already told him in normal Russian 2 times, and he pretends that he did not understand anything! ". True, having made sure that Russian is not yet international outside the former USSR, people successfully communicate with the staff with gestures and scraps of English words. at the reception, forcing him to pronounce Arabic words. True, unfortunately, I never learned at least a few words in Arabic, but even my English was quite enough there. Although the stories that all Egyptians know English are greatly exaggerated.
Sea:
There are a sufficient number of fish, hedgehogs, octopuses and other living creatures in the sea. At 50-100 meters from the shore, the second line of corals - large stingrays and turtles were often seen there. the wind is not very convenient to be near the corals. You can swim along the coast a few hundred meters to the left and right of the beach, and if you want to diversify the experience, you can dive in the Hilton or go on a boat trip on a yacht from Dahab (Mach offered $ 500-600 from the yacht for the whole day with meals) or to Pharaoh's Island.
The pluses I would also include the complete lack of animation and a sparsely populated disco in the hall, which ends rather quickly.
Excursions can be ordered from tour operators - there are 2 of them Pegasus and Turtess. Their representatives periodically appear in Toba, they can be called or found in the Hilton. There is also an excursion bureau Mach in Hilton, but the Egyptian is not Russian-speaking there, but you can bargain with him very well. There is a water tourism center in Hilton - you can directly buy boat trips, scuba diving, ride a boat with a transparent bottom, etc. from them. Egypt.
I booked excursions with the hostess of our hotel - she is a very nice woman. By the way, private tours by car for 2-3 people cost no more than by bus, but you feel much more comfortable and freer knowing that you are not late anywhere. By the way, when planning excursions, keep in mind that after a trip to Israel (Jordan) you will not be allowed in Cairo Luxor.
Also, the tour operator may well reschedule the return flight for half a day or a day.
Of the general shortcomings of Taba, I note the paucity of food stores - to catch fruit you have to run there several times a day, in refrigerators there is only water and the most valuable perishable foods and fruits. There are shops, a pharmacy, a currency exchange, a hairdresser only in the Hilton, and to get there you need to go through security and tell the guards where and why you are going, which is a little annoying. I wanted to buy myself the simplest wetsuit, but for this you have to go to Dahab, but for now there got there, it was necessary to leave already. In Taba there are only masks, snorkels and flippers, naturally the cheapest. Also, you must have a passport with you any time you leave the hotel, even for a boat trip.
In general, Egypt made a good impression - good roads, friendly people, unique nature, rich sea. The only place where I encountered impudent behavior of the natives is Taba Airport. Porters and toilet cleaners impudently demand a dollar, but the truth is they are not offended when you don’t give them anything. And there’s a song with the toilet in general - 2 handsome men stood in front of the entrance and demanded money so much that everyone in the waiting room was convinced that the toilet was really paid. I had to complain to the local manager, who defiantly removed the janitor's badge and "really" scolded him and kicked him out of the waiting room, although he returned after about ten minutes, but the main thing was that the toilet was no longer paid.
Also, my personal opinion is that you should not waste your precious time (especially day time) on trips to their stores - there are 90% of products from China and Turkey that you can buy from us.
In general, we were very satisfied with our vacation. The hotel fully met expectations, and, in my opinion, it does not happen anywhere without shortcomings. We were worried that we would not do without lunch, but it turned out to be not particularly necessary, especially since you can always order something in a restaurant, and for those who are going to actively go on excursions, it makes no sense to pay for lunch at all.
Pros:
1. Location and compactness - a quiet place without outsiders (whom the hotel security would not let in anyway), the beach is located immediately across the road - a very nice underground passage leads to it;
from any place in the hotel to the dining room and reception a maximum of 40-50 meters and from the dining room to the beach the same amount, i. e. going to the room for something from the beach or from the dining room is not a bummer.

I really liked this hotel before. And advised everyone. Now on the contrary - I will dissuade. Why? Now I will tell. Let's start with the description on the site. I really liked this hotel before. And advised everyone. Now on the contrary - I will dissuade.
Why? Now I will tell.
Let's start with the description on the site. What is not true:
"8 restaurants" - 2
* car and motorcycle rental - refers to a taxi.
* cable TV - yes, cable, but only 13 programs, of which only 2 in English, and 1 in Russian RTR Planet. Everything else is in Arabic and 2 in Hebrew. There is nothing to watch.
* direct phone - no, you have to go to the reception to order a conversation, then run to the room or speak directly to the reception.
* safe - no, only at the reception you can deposit something.
* Private sandy beach. Yes, but with a bunch of stones and cigarette butts, but that's not the worst. Waves throw out dead little hedgehogs, and no one cleans this stuff. You can't walk on the sand without shoes. Entry into the sea through a small, thin entrance carved into the rock. It is difficult to call this rock corals.
And there are cockroaches!
But they are not in the rooms, they flock to the light, especially accumulate at night in the transition to the beach. Such fat cockroaches can be seen in the Kiev Zoo.
There are two pools. There is a lot of sand and mud at the bottom of the pool. They are brought by the wind and people on their feet from the beach. I did not notice in a week that they cleaned the bottom. There is so much bleach in the pools that diving with your head is somehow dumb. But bleach will kill all the infection in small wavkas.
Now the very reason why I decided to write a review.
On the last day, I decided to pay off in the evening for everything I took at the bar - mostly beer,
which, by the way, is wildly expensive - 19 pounds (or hryvnia) per bottle. You won’t take anything else alcoholic - the prices are, well, very wild for wine and everything else. 50 grams of vodka on the menu costs 149 pounds (hryvnia). They really don't like alcohol. Duty free in the first two days saved if you walk 2 km to Israel.
I settled for zero. In the evening.
There are still a few pounds left. From that moment on, he took everything for cash.
I remember exactly.
Departure at 6 am. Suddenly another account appears. For two beers. 38 pounds.
I remember exactly - I paid for everything. Foaming at the mouth, I prove to Nadia, the owner, whom I considered a sane business woman, that yesterday I paid for everything, took two more bottles at night and paid 20 pounds for each (no one will bring change anyway). It turned out that the boy wrote down somewhere in the computer what I took, but did not write down there that I had already paid. They made me pay again. Funtikov was not, had to pay 8 dollars. No one will give up. 8 bucks = 44 pounds, two beers = 38.6 pounds I gave for medicine to a boy with a bad memory.
Now the guide is a miracle from TezTour, which for convenience was called simply Igor, does not defend the interests of his tourists. I explained everything to him, Nadia explained everything. He says, honey, stay, you'll settle the issues, then you'll come to the airport by taxi.
I thought it was more expensive for myself - you can’t prove anything, gave them 8 bucks, promised to tell everything on the forums so that Madame Nadia would have more cash flow. The day before, we had talked about when she would finish building her house on the mountain above the hotel, so far she had only done the foundation and the lantern. She was very sweet and welcoming. But when, through the fault of the hotel, there were misunderstandings with the payment for 2 bottles of beer, which I DEFINITELY already paid for, she was ready to pull out her teeth, I had never seen her with such wild eyes. At the same time, she can very nicely communicate with all the guests of the hotel about anything, complain about life and Russians, "oh, those russians ... "
How many did not explain to her the difference - and did not understand. She saw how Russians break off corals and take out live shells with snails from the sea, and bring them to the room for beauty. They won’t be able to pick it up anyway - so let it lie on the TV at least.
I told her that this is a purely Russian attitude to natural resources, Ukrainians will not do this. It's the Russians who have a lot of gas, oil and bags, and they don't care what and why they kill. And Ukrainians are more European people and have a more humane attitude towards nature. To which she replied - I don't care, they are all the same to me. Okay, I think. May your business prosper with this attitude.
A pack of Marlboro cigarettes was carried from the restaurant for about 40 minutes ...Three phone calls to the restaurant, each time the answer was "5 minutes". But you want to smoke ...3 bucks per pack, this is still acceptable. But the service...stunned...
This is not all-inclusive. Tea in the morning at breakfast - golly lipton, solid chemistry - 2 bucks! And the same thing in the evening. They have no other teas for tourists. Now multiply (2+2)x7=28 bucks for a goofy lipton! I bought a lot of water and Pepsi at the baraz, and defiantly went with water for dinner.
-Drink?
-Yes! : ) I have my drink : )
Talked to one worker, nice guy, good English.
He said two interesting things.
one.
In the passage to the beach, if you go down the stairs from the hotel, there is a mask hanging over the door. It turns out that this mask is some ancient curse symbol, supposedly hanging there so that less hard workers go to the beach. And I noticed that only one shot goes to the beach, which gives out towels, which has almost no teeth, and there are obvious problems with the head. All the time he pesters with some kind of idiotic questions and says hello 5 times a day.
2. Hard workers in the hotel receive 365 pounds per month + food and lodging for the night in a barrack behind the hotel. These are shelves with mattresses.
Now about the guide Igor.
He works TezTure recently, about two months. Lives at the base of TezTour in Salah el-Din, 2-3 km from Tobia to the right.
There were 8 people from Ukraine in my arrival. In theory, we had 2 guides. This type Igor and the second, I don’t know their names. The day before departure there was no sign, no notice of departure. The people began to worry, to come up with an independent taxi ride to the airport.
A call to the second guide on a mobile phone - does not take, resets. It turns out that someone offended him and he is so touchy and does not want to talk to anyone. A call to the first guide Igor. He DOES NOT know that we have a departure tomorrow! It was I who told him that we had a departure at 6 in the morning, but he had to tell me! I apologized, arrived at the hotel, started checking - yes, it’s true, and began to organize a departure for tomorrow and notify everyone.
There were 2 Israeli couples in this hotel for the Jewish New Year. And they also told an interesting thing. It turns out that, according to Israeli intelligence, Al-Qaeda was slightly offended by Russia for the fact that Israel honored the Russians with the honor of coming to Israel without a visa. Russia has finished its showdown with Chechnya. Al-Qaeda has its tail between its legs and is looking for ways to annoy the Russians. Where do they rest? That's right - in Sharm. Something like this is expected in the near future. Therefore, the Israelis will not go further than the Hilton or Taba.
Although the Hilton has been blown up a couple of times already. Gambling is prohibited in Israel. Therefore, only the most daring and reckless Israelis go to play in two casinos - one in the Hilton, the second in this Hotel. This means that these two places are potential targets. I won't go to Tobia again. If you go to Egypt, then only further away, something like Hurghada.
In addition, in the first 4 days after arrival, I and all the hotel guests heard shots from Jordan. Absolutely real, not blank cannon shots. They thought that the war was starting, and it was time to reel in the fishing rods. It turned out that this is how they spoil the holidays for the Jews - so that they do not relax too much. The Arabs are still bitches, and no one will convince me that in Egypt they are somehow different in any direction.
When you just arrived and got on the bus, your guide will definitely show you a cross in the form of a tattoo on one hand and will fill you in that there are 10% of Christians in Egypt and that he is one of those 10%. Complete bullshit.
He just rubs himself into your confidence in the hope of not a tip and a friendly attitude, and without such a tattoo he simply won’t be hired. So to believe them is like believing in the inscriptions on the fences.
This time we flew with the company VETROV ROSE. Czech airline. The plane is good, the flight attendants are rare creatures. If you ask for a glass of water outside of the time when they are serving drinks, they just send you a fax. One young lady drank a little before the flight and was already almost sober, she had a dry spell - she asked for a glass of plain water - they didn’t give her water, and they threatened to hand her over to the police at the airport, for supposedly a brawl, but the stardesses themselves staged a brawl.
They flew back with the same heads (golka - in Czech - a girl). And the same young lady, the same situation - everyone drinks something from duty-free. The Czechs run and yell something there in their wonderful language, and cover everyone as they want. Drunken bastards, etc. They don't understand that people have a vacation - and they are at work.
Once upon a time, I worked in the Czech Republic for 3 months and I can get a little bit into what they babble about, but they don’t even suspect it. There was only one of our stewardesses. I decided to joke a little - girls, in my homeland at the airport, I have a lot of acquaintances in the police and in the security at the airport ...Would you like to spend three days in a monkey house for a boorish attitude and infringement of the rights of passengers, maybe compensate moral damage through the court . . They understand what country they are flying to and what kind of people and laws we have ...They ran sharply as they should and brought everyone everything they asked for and as many times as they asked.
With this payment of double bills and swearing on the road, with a Czech plane, the whole impression of the rest was spoiled. I think that now I will return to the all-inclusive system again.
Choose any other hotel, and if you go to Madame Nadia, say hello to her cash flow.
A thinking person, let him understand the above.
Why? Now I will tell.
