The whole area is in the stairs and figurines. 2 buildings without lift.
The beach is immediately from the exit to the left of Karon.
There is no deposit at the hotel. Beach towels bp, you can change every day.
There is 1 swimming pool.
Wi-fi bp throughout the territory.
The rooms are small, old, moderately clean, there is an extra bed in the room.
Superior villa: tea, coffee, water bp every day.
Safe 50 baht at the reception.
The staff is painted.
My opinion, not so much.
Suitable for youth. If walking up the stairs is not a problem and there are no requests for rooms, then you can go into it.
Posted quickly. The room is comfortable, double bed, shower, toilet, TV. There is only one program in Russian. Free wi-fi. Breakfast from 6:00 to 10:00. Delicious, great selection. Towels on the beach for free, return until 19-00 h. Swimming pool, cafe, everything is fine.
Upon arrival at the hotel they brought us a wet towel from the refrigerator and a soft drink. As the saying goes - "a trifle, but nice. " The hotel consists of two main buildings of different heights, and several bungalows. In our ticket it was indicated - the number "superior ROH". We were a little worried about the placement, but everything turned out very well. We were placed in a bungalow, number 133. I imagined a bungalow differently - like a hut. It turned out - a good full room, a balcony from which you can see the sea. Second floor, first - technical. The room has a wide double bed, a wardrobe, a table, chairs, a sofa on which you can only sit, a minibar and an LCD TV, probably 32 inches in diagonal. The furniture is not new, but solid. On the balcony there are 2 more chairs and a table, you can drink tea in the evening. In front of our room there were one-story bungalows, so the eye first fell on their roofs, and already behind them - the sea to the horizon. There is a kettle in the room, 2 bottles of water, tea bags, coffee, cream are brought daily. In some photos from the hotel, the sink is in the room, but this is apparently in the main building, our sink was where it should be - in the toilet room. A threshold separates the shower from the toilet, the watering can in the shower leaves much to be desired - you can’t remove it, it’s fixed to the wall, and you can’t turn it to the side either - it starts to siphon from all sides. Well, nothing, got used to it. There is a hair dryer. Soap, shampoos, towels were updated daily, there were no complaints about cleaning the room, swans, though they didn’t spin, and God bless them. As for the quality of service and service in the hotel as a whole, we are satisfied. There were no complaints, comments to the staff. Despite a certain language barrier (no one speaks Russian, my English is, to put it mildly, imperfect), you could always turn to the staff with your problem - they would help you and solve it. A kettle leaked in our room - they immediately replaced it with a new one, and when it was necessary to reschedule the paid excursion to another day, they helped in this case too - they phoned the sales office, explained everything for us, and we went another day.
But let's continue about the hotel. The hotel is small, but cozy, well-groomed area. A beautiful, two-level swimming pool, where you can cool off with pleasure after a walk from the sea. The pool is shallow, in some places there were trickles of water, creating the effect of a jacuzzi. There were not many people on our arrival, so it was possible to relax in the pool and just enjoy the surroundings. There is a bar nearby, if you wish, you can order drinks and snacks for yourself, but it did not enjoy much success. Also nearby, in the building, there is a spa, but I can’t say anything about it, we didn’t go to it, although the prices for massage are not much higher than on the street.
In terms of food: we had breakfast - everything suited us. Everything is fresh and tasty. From vegetables, you could build some kind of salad for yourself, there were always several side dishes (rice, noodles, potatoes), they were either meat or fish, always sausages. The chef could fry an omelet for you with toppings of your choice, or you could have fried eggs. There were muesli, yogurt, pastries. From fruits - watermelon, melon, bananas, papaya, dragon's eye, pineapples. Good coffee for breakfast, in my opinion, is even a bit strong, without milk it is very invigorating. As I already mentioned, there were not very many residents, and there were enough tables for breakfast for everyone, but it’s better to have breakfast early, since the sun was starting to bake from 8 o’clock, and you had to look for a table in the shade.
And after breakfast - of course, the sea! Warm Andaman Sea and Karon Beach with singing, ringing sand. There are no sunbeds and umbrellas on the beaches now, so we take beach towels from the hotel and place ourselves wherever our heart desires. You can sit in the sun, you can on the grass, or in the shade under the palm trees. During the rest, we also visited the beaches of Kata and Kata Noi, but still we liked Karon more. It's a little more comfortable, isn't it? We, as always, waited out the very heat either in the room or in the hotel pool, and in the evening, after sunset, we walked around the village, to Kata. We always dined in different places, I can’t recommend anything, they feed well everywhere. In recent days, they have become accustomed to going to the market in Katya, taking fried fish there, and a side dish somewhere near the macarons. Comes out cheaper.
Well, about excursions. Our tour operator TEZ Tour provided two free tours - a sightseeing tour of the island and "Exotic Phuket". The main attractions of the island are included here - the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong temple, bird park, snake and crocodile show, botanical garden. Well, as on excursions without a latex, jewelry factory, and a factory of natural products. And we bought excursions to the Phi Phi and Similan Islands on our own, on the street. It comes out cheaper, but you need to understand what will be included in this price. We went to Phi Phi very cheaply, but we saw all the beaches and caves from a distance, from the big boat, and snorkeling was only once.
Our two weeks in Phuket flew like two days, leaving only pleasant impressions and positive emotions. And I have never seen such amazing sunsets as here. I recommend Phuket Island, Karon Beach, Karona Resort & SPA.
1. Flight. Flying Transaero. Departure from Domodedovo, at 22-40 Moscow time, the plane is a Boeing 747-400. Fed 2 times. Departure minute-by-minute. In the morning we sat down on Phuket. The first impression - yes, it's ALUSHTA !! ! To be honest, I wasn't impressed right away. You can’t see paradise palms, turquoise beaches and other things from pictures about Thailand. We got out and went to passport control. There is no exchanger, there is nowhere to buy baht. I went to the window "Visa on arrival", asked how much it costs and where to buy baht? The Thai showed a sign - the price of visas in different currencies. $40 Speculation, but nothing to do. There is nowhere to buy baht at Phuket airport until you leave passport control. I had pre-filled forms with photographs. I gave him forms, money, and immediately the visas were pasted into the passport, they passed control, customs. We are already in Thailand. Changed $200 at the airport exchange office. The course is 29.6 baht for 1 dollar. I give courses for a correct understanding of the order of prices in Thailand. So, 1 UAH - 3.7 baht. Or 1 Russian rub. = 1 baht.
2. Hotel. I chose it not only by the reviews of tourists, but mainly by looking through the hotels offered by TezTour in my price range using Google Map. I made no mistake in my choice. The hotel is great in every way! Small, clean, cozy, homely or something. Clean warm swimming pool, very polite staff (just arrived, all cocktails with ice, cold fragrant towels, etc. , room cleaning, every day water and tea-coffee bags for free, no deposits for a mini-bar in the room, at the reception free safe-cells, hairdryer, kettle in the room. !!!! ). And it's 3 stars. To the sea 160 meters. Cross the road and you're on the beach. Tropical garden, not a hotel. Choose - it's the best of inexpensive. I know what I am saying !
3. Nutrition. The hotel had breakfasts - rice, potatoes, vermicelli, rice soup, fruits (pineapples, papayas, watermelons, grapefruits, small bananas), omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon, stewed beef, fried fish fillets, salads, croissants, etc.
I didn't want to have lunch - it was very hot. We went to a cafe for dinner. Attention - the order of prices! Myth one - Thailand is not a cheap country at all! The average salary of an employee is 15.000 baht. Compare with Ukraine. Prices match - for example, dinner will cost as follows: rice with 4 shrimp - 120 baht, juice or beer - 80 baht. Those. for two you need to spend approx 400-500 baht. This is 108 - 135 UAH. It's in a street cafe. I'm talking about seafood. Prices per 100 grams: lobster - 210 baht, king and tiger prawns - 180-190 baht. Crabs - 60 baht, but there is nothing to eat, one shell. So eat your seafood at home. For example, a live lobster in the "Metro" costs 350 UAH per 1 kg !! ! It seems that lobsters are brought to Thailand from Ukaina.
4. Sea. Every day I told myself how great it was that we didn't go to Pattaya. In Phuket, I have repeatedly heard how dirty the sea is in Pattaya. Our hotel was in the south of Karon beach, 10 min walk to Kata beach. The first 4-5 days it was sunny, I burned out so that I went lilac from burns, although I hid in the shade. The sun is very active. So, as long as the sea is calm, this is a class. Clean, transparent, the sand sings under your feet when you walk on it. Then a small storm began and the sea began to throw out garbage - plastic glasses, bags, sticks, etc. If this is happening in Phuket, where the sea is essentially an open ocean, then I'm afraid to imagine that in Pattaya. The descent into the sea is very gentle, clean sand. The ebbs and flows are impressive. The water moves away to 40-50 meters. On Katya as well as on Karon. There is no particular difference. Kata is located in a bay, so there are smaller waves, but more garbage, because on the way to this beach there is a stink river, which, I suspect, flows into the sea somewhere between Kata and Corona.
5. Excursions. They took it on the street, there were a lot of agencies. We went to the Similans (2300 baht per person) and rafting + elephants + waterfall (1300 baht). This is despite the fact that Teztour has a price for similans - 4600 !! . After all, the islands are the same. We were transported on a speedboat with 4 motors. Fruit, pepsi, fanta, sprite on board - free of charge. On the island - a hot lunch. White sand, turquoise sea. But still, this is not a Bounty in our understanding. The Bounty is probably somewhere else, maybe in French Polynesia. . . but I haven't gotten there yet, so I can't say for sure. The vegetation in the Similans is the same as in Phuket. I didn’t see palm trees before the water. We got into the rain on the way back, got wet like dogs . Well, you can’t be offended by nature. There's nothing to be done here. Elephants are also interesting, unusual. + My wife and I really enjoyed rafting. But the waterfall is rather weak - like Dzhur-Dzhur in the Crimea who was.
In general, Phuket is the vegetation of the Crimea + the beach of Israel. 11 days personally tired me. I would have been just 7. It's not a heavenly place like in the pictures, but it doesn't suck either. Something seems to me that this is approximately the case in Turkey, although I personally have not been there yet. So why fly so far if everything is at hand? To see once? Maybe that's the way it is. I saw that I don't regret anything. But once is enough for me. The world is big and life is so short.
