Despite the fact that the room was considered without a sea view, but the sea was visible between the houses, so much greenery, so many flowering shrubs, trees create the feeling of a botanical garden. There is always a wonderful aroma of greenery in the air, which mixes with the smell of the sea and creates a complete feeling of paradise on earth. Friendly staff, spacious studio with a full set of dishes, a toaster, kettle, electric stove, oven, refrigerator, air conditioning, everything works. The ants puzzled a little, but as soon as they talked about it at the reception, the maid immediately went, who immediately processed everything. Yes, despite the 4 stars, there are no cosmetics, no hair dryer, this was explained by the fact that this is not a purely hotel, but village houses. The hotel itself is a 5-7 minute walk from the beach, to which a comfortable path leads. There is quite a wide range of dishes, but you need to choose what suits you. We had breakfasts and dinners, that was enough, we had time to travel on excursions and lie on the beach. Although from 12-00 to 15-00 it was very hot, we returned to the pool near the hotel, sokono rested in the shade. The territory is very clean, well-groomed, just a blooming garden. The holiday itself left only the most pleasant impressions, but the only thing is how the News Travel campaign treated us when we were sent home, we were simply shocked. In Larnaca, at the airport during check-in for our charter flight, it turned out that there were no seats for us. The whole group flew away, only we and another young married couple remained defenseless in the middle of the airport, without a serious knowledge of English. Shock is not the right word to describe our state. All this was completed on the Larnaca-Vienna route, and then Vienna-Kyiv. Greater neglect of their duties from the tour operator News Travel can not even be imagined. This is such a sad end to a very pleasant holiday.

There were no issues that they did not solve. I really liked the tour to Limassol, where the guide was Katya, who knows the history of Cyprus deeply and talks about it in a very interesting way. We personally had NO problems with the replacement of linen, towels, cleaning, etc. Meals - we had HB (breakfast-dinner) more than enough - in the afternoon we still went on excursions every day. There were a lot of Germans in the hotel, they probably had AL, so they just rolled over from the restaurant to cafes, bars, and back, and so all day long, they didn’t even go to the beach, and soaked by the pool, fortunately, it’s not small . Near the hotel are banana, orange and pomegranate groves (something like our forest belts). True, bananas were green at that time, but pomegranates are something, well, just honey, and some small green citrus fruits are surprisingly sweet. In general, our compatriots grazed there actively. Gentle, warm, Affectionate, clear sea, flocks of fry fish swim up just at a distance of the palm. If you are lucky enough to go to Cyprus yet, I won’t even experiment, only in this “tested” hotel. And do not listen to the whiners who only look for cons, I don’t know how it is in summer, I think it’s exhaustingly hot, but in September-October, that’s it! The hotel is super, Cyprus, no words!

Excellent territory, a lot of greenery and cozy, unlike other hotels that I saw in Paphos and which are huge multi-storey buildings. This hotel is a great two-story village-town.
But... I was lucky with the room (the room is excellent in design) - I had block 13, and I saw the sea and the sun from the balcony, unlike other tourists who lived in blocks 30-52 - in the "well" type area of our old St. Petersburg and therefore representing a subtropical climate with mosquitoes.
The linen was not changed until the maid was caught, the towels were changed 2 times, all the cleaning was reduced to the persistent dressing of my bed and taking out the garbage. They didn’t sweep on the balcony until I took a broom from the maid’s hands and went with it to the balcony.
Ants live in the room very actively, simple and with wings.
Feeding - pasta (they don't know how to cook), delicious Cypriot potatoes - (it's hard to spoil) and meat (overcooked). Dessert is inedible. Vegetables are catastrophically small even in comparison with Egypt. They manage to make salads from pasta, potatoes and sausages, instead of vegetables. After one of the dinners at the reception, I gave out that the hotel chef needed... (removed by the moderator).
Well, that's all the bad stuff. Oh yes, a HUGE amount of Russians!! ! And some noisy and fat Frenchmen behaving like Germans.
The beach is on the right, there is the St. George Hotel, many people went there. The flowers have already begun to crumble and wither - I can’t imagine what a joy it is to relax there in July-August (the Cypriots themselves don’t understand !!! ).
Paphos, indeed, is a great place (the French kings rested there!! ).
And if you are with humor, a little English and without excessive pathos, then I highly recommend both Paphos and this hotel (for a break from "show-offs" and relaxation).

3. Let's move on to no less important things - nutrition! Fruits - canned: pineapples, peaches! The diet is not varied! Cypriot food day (last dinner before leaving) is just awful! Desserts are not varied, even salty!
4. Near the pool it is impossible to lie on sunbeds, without mattresses, not comfortable and hard! You can get injured if you lie down incorrectly!
5. Animation - artists are invited, but the performances do not last long, there is no organization, if you want a disco arrange it yourself, because the organization of the hotel does not worry about this, they do not need it! At the same time: "There is no place - dance on stage"! Girls-students (not specialists) of qualification “0” work in the animation near the pool. Only flirting with the British!
6. The room is a balcony, why is it unknown, only for drying clothes, the table is dirty, the chairs on the balcony too. Although the towels are changed, they are given back with a specific smell. There is no shampoo in the bathroom, no shower gel either! And this is a 4 star hotel!
7. Excursions - complete rip-off! For a fee for one tour, you can see the whole of Cyprus up and down. We booked an excursion to Kourion-Aphrodite-Paphos from our guide Boris from Austria for 45 euros each. I really wanted to see an amazing place, and swim there near the stone of Aphrodite, where she came out of the sea foam. But our hopes turned out to be in vain, we saw the place, but we were not allowed to swim there, because little time was allotted for the tour. But we still went down to this amazing stone and got at least wet feet, and managed to take one photo each, until a representative of the BAUER company from Lithuania, Roberto, came running and started shouting at us that, they say, let's quickly go to the bus because as the bus leaves, otherwise you will get to the hotel at your own expense. The water there is so clean, soft, pleasant, and we could have stayed there for at least an hour with our whole group, but the guide did not give us the opportunity to stay there longer. Because our guide has prepared a surprise for us! He chose for us the best beach with golden sand and the cleanest sea on this coast. And on the way, according to the plan, we had a visit to the temple of Apollo in Kourion, but we didn’t stay there long, and didn’t really see anything. There was little time, because we were brought to the surprise beach for two hours, a bonus from our guide. The name is Blue Beach. What can I say on the beach, the sand is gray, the sea is dirty, there is nowhere to lie down, the sunbeds are all occupied. I had to go to a bar. On the beach, where everything is very expensive. But our guide Boris, a representative of the BAUER company and a tour guide, while we seemed to be spending time on the beach, they sat, ate and drank. We were terribly tired, it was just a living hell, no rest. Dreamed of returning to at least the hotel. On the way back, the guide chatted all the way about things that were not significant to us. Passing from the other side of the Rock of Aphrodite, the guide drew our attention, once again look at this amazing place where the goddess of beauty Aphrodite came out. But a representative of the BAUER company offered us, for a separate fee, to go for the whole day to the stone of Aphrodite. On the way to the hotel, our whole group was offered to go for a walk in the city in Paphos along the promenade, and then get to the hotel ourselves. It was not a vacation, but just badly thrown money. Honestly, for such services, the payment is ostranomic. No service, no fun. Total disappointment and moral trauma. And the island was simply handed over to us as a pile of stones, surrounded by a sea that you can’t get close to. They promised the hotel its own beach, but it simply doesn’t exist, and the guide recommended that we go to a nearby hotel to swim in the sea, since we were not from the hotel that had at least some kind of beach, we were charged 2.5 euros for sunbeds from everyone.
We ask you to dismiss the employees: Guide-Boris from Austria, who was always drunk on the territory of the hotel in a state of alcoholic intoxication! And also pay attention to the work of the representative of the company BAUER from Lithuania - Roberto.

On the way to the hotel, our whole group was offered to go for a walk in the city in Paphos along the promenade, and then get to the hotel ourselves. Everyone who wanted to leave, left, but Roberto did not allow us, he said that we should go to the hotel. In principle, it is good that we did not book other excursions. Our guide Boris was just trying to make money on tourists.
It was not a vacation, but just badly thrown money. Honestly, for such services, the payment is ostranomic. No service, no fun. Total disappointment and moral trauma. And the island was simply handed over to us as a pile of stones, surrounded by a sea that you can’t get close to. They promised the hotel its own beach, but it simply doesn’t exist, and the guide recommended that we go to a nearby hotel to swim in the sea, since we were not from the hotel that had at least some kind of beach, we were charged 2.5 euros for sunbeds from everyone.

I rested alone in Cyprus at the Akteon Village hotel. The hotel is fully consistent with the declared 4 *. There is a kitchen corner: a refrigerator, an electric stove with an oven, a kettle, a sink, cupboards with a full set of necessary utensils from pots to a corkscrew. The bathroom is spacious with shower and bath. Rooms are cleaned every day, linen is changed every 2 days.
There is an outdoor pool outside and an indoor heated pool; 2 restaurants, a bar, in the summer there is a bar on the street and a souvenir shop at the hotel.
The hotel is located on a steep, steep bank, in order to go down to the sea, you need to walk 50-70 meters. In Cyprus, hotels do not have their own fixed beaches, the beaches are municipal, so there will be no problems with visiting them.
From the hotel to Old Paphos (Kato Pafos) about 5 km. But, since there is nothing to do without a car in Cyprus, this is not a problem. Renting a car is not a problem, Russian driving license is valid; the cost of rent and insurance is low; you can contact the hotel reception and they will help with the rental. If necessary, you can ask for a car with a child seat.
There are VERY few Russians resting in Actaeon (as I was told - 3-4 people a year), so the staff is mostly English-speaking, although there are those who speak Russian (but very few).
The food is very high quality, but I can only write about breakfast. This is a buffet. Everything is delicious, fresh, but the set is the same every day.
If you sign up for excursions, the bus picks up and brings you back directly to the hotel. In winter, there are very few Russian-speaking excursions from Paphos. Not far from the hotel there is a company that organizes excursions.
The main contingent of holidaymakers in winter in Actaeon are European pensioners and families with children. In the summer, probably more young people. The restaurant has high chairs, according to rumors, you can ask for a baby cot in the room.
Not far from the hotel (200-300 m) there is a supermarket that has almost everything from souvenirs to raw vegetables and animal feed. It is also full of all sorts of restaurants, I especially liked the pizza in "Pepperoni", where it is baked on a live fire.
A feature of Cypriot cuisine is simply huge portions of food. The smallest plate is about the size of a car wheel. Shops, like public transport, close at 6 pm, restaurants open longer.
There are many attractions around Paphos: areological parks (the nearest one is Tombs of the kings, 2.5 km from the hotel), museums, Christian temples, Aphrodite's Bath, but it's better to read more about this in guides.
