Of the shortcomings, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and there is no hotel beach, but there is a beach nearby from the Vegus hotel, there is sand and you can lie on a towel. In general, we had a good rest. I recommend the hotel.
The hotel does not have a beach, there is a small pool. To the beach of the neighboring hotel "Elysium" it's five minutes to go, but the sand is gray there, the water is muddy, it's unpleasant to swim somehow. Hearty breakfasts. Wi-Fi is free only at the reception, in other areas for an additional fee. This is the first hotel I met in Cyprus where they didn’t give out adapters for a British outlet for free, they gave out a deposit of 5 euros. And since the sockets are also very ancient, my standard trick did not work in them - to stick an ordinary European plug with a manicure stick. (((
And maybe this is my individual cockroach in my head, but I did not like that the door leading to the fire escape was constantly closed. But in the room there was a detailed instruction "What to do in case of fire if you cannot get out of the room. "
The hotel is actively cooperating with travel agencies, usually this is not a good sign for me, as an independent tourist. Usually, the quality of hotel services suffers from this scheme, guests are brought in for 2 weeks, they will not be able to change the hotel just like that, even if they don’t like something.
city hotel - there are many cafes, minimarkets nearby, within walking distance of the shopping center Avenue Mall (something like Mega), not far are the "tombs of the kings", the port, the archaeological park, the catacombs of Solomon. In general, the hotel is not cut off from the world, there is where to wander.
The sea is about 5 minutes walk along a secondary street, the hotel does not have a beach, but the beach of the Elysium hotel is nearby, where a very convenient bay is made, protected by breakwaters and a sandy entrance to the sea - everyone is crowded there. We mostly swam there. We also went further beyond Elysium along the coast - but there are stones and very strong waves everywhere. On the left (if you face the sea) there is the beach of the Kefalos Beach Hotel, but there are also only rocks, and a little further away is the Light House municipal beach, where there are sun loungers, a cafe, a toilet, a shower and a pier for easy entry into the sea. But swimming there is comfortable only if the waves are small, and when the sea is rough, you can hit the stones. We also went to the beach in the port - there are stones everywhere, but there are stairs to the sea, a toilet and showers, and at the very end there is a sandy section of the beach fenced from the waves - where you can swim like in a pool. There is a bus to Coral Beach, but we are not fans of going to the beach by bus.
2. The hotel area is small, green, flowers everywhere, clean.
2 swimming pools - the usual large one near the main building and a small one, curving along the Superior buildings - just lovely - cozy, pleasant, clean.
We had a Superior room, because. according to the reviews, we realized that the standards are very modest and small.
The room is very large, 2 single beds on wheels that can be moved and pulled apart, they are not fixed together, so they move apart easily. We were told at the reception that there are only 5 rooms with a double bed in this hotel. There is also a small TV in the room with one Russian channel, a sofa, a table, 2 armchairs, an air conditioner, a mirror, a minibar (refrigerator), a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, several lighting options.
You can rent a kettle and cups - 2.5 euros per day for a kettle and 2 cups, or 2.5 euros per person per day for a kettle, 2 cups, tea bags, sugar.
Power outlet adapter for a deposit of 5 euros - returned upon departure.
The refrigerator can only be used for a fee - it is locked. We didn't take.
The bathroom is small, but, in principle, normal.
Very nice terrace or balcony - lots of space, a table with chairs, a view of the curving pool, nice to sit and drink wine in the evening.
Cons: Washed grey-yellow linens that are rarely changed - about once a week. In standard rooms, towels are cream-colored, dirt is not so visible on them, but in Superior rooms they are white, on which unwashed stains are clearly visible. The floors in the room are not washed, but swept (they are washed only after the room is vacated and before new guests check in), the floors in the bathroom are washed every day.
In general, it’s normal for a 3 *, the room is clean enough, comfortable for a 3 *, there are no unpleasant odors.
The maid did not take 2 euros, but when they left 10 in one bill, she took it.
When you check in, no one escorts you to the room - there is no porter, they just explain how to get to the room. Upon check-in, one liter bottle of drinking water, 2 bars of soap, a small bottle of shampoo and shower gel are put in the room - they do not replenish.
3. restaurant: at breakfast, the standard choice for 3 * yogurt, scrambled eggs, honey. oil in disposable packages, bacon, beans, potatoes, pancakes, baked vegetables, toast, jam, cake, buns, instant juice, etc. , tea, coffee, cocoa from the machine. Tables are cleaned after each person.
The staff is polite, calm, friendly, many speak or understand Russian.
I especially liked the reception staff - polite and positive, they will always try to understand and help.
Vacationers are mostly English pensioners and pre-retirees and Russian young families with small children. There are few youth. In the evenings, almost every day there was live music or karaoke at the bar.
In general, a normal three-ruble note for a peaceful sleep and relaxation near the city center, without parties, discos and drunken companies.
