The food is delicious, the sea is not far away, the staff is good, everyone except the hotel manager.
Allows himself to be rude to guests. During my stay at the hotel, I voiced a complaint about some of the hotel's rules. I found live insects in the room and in the food at breakfast.
Instead of taking the guest's comments calmly and taking responsibility, the manager of this hotel, on my birthday, which I am sure he knew about, sent me a letter. The letter says that I slandered the hotel and staff. And some other fantasies of his, how he allegedly tried to smooth out misunderstandings.
At the same time, I had no complaints about the staff at all. But the manager, after my comments to him, set the staff in such a mood that they were afraid to approach me. It created such tension that it simply ruined my entire vacation, and also his letter, apparently, was like a “compliment” to a guest on his birthday.
Normal hotels try to do something to make guests feel comfortable. Here everything is the other way around.
There is no point in paying for all inclusive at this hotel. You need to pay for water, normal coffee, Wi-Fi and more. It's easier to take breakfast and lunch or dinner.
Yes, on the second day they changed my room from one facing the street, where it is impossible to sleep, to a side view of the sea (which I paid for initially). This is solely thanks to the reception. In the first version, the sea was also visible. But you definitely need to study where your number will be. Because the view and noise of the street are not pleasant at all.
With such a policy from the manager of this hotel, I don’t want to come back at all.
And at the same time, there were wonderful workers. hotels that somehow smoothed out all this discomfort.
There are other nice hotels along the coastline.
As for the hotel, we are not picky and practically only spent the night in the hotel, as we traveled around the island. But immediately upon check-in, all supposedly "additional services" are paid - a safe 2 euros per day, a refrigerator 2 euros per day. For a moment, the hotel claims to be 4 *, make the cost for 1000 rubles. more expensive and make these extra. travel expenses - guests will have a different attitude. We didn’t like it, because we went to Paphos in May also at 4 *, everything was included in the use of the room, it’s corny even the water at the reception was for drinking, and the hotel was cheaper than Anmaria.
Himself and the rooms are good, the food is also normal. You can eat.
And now the apogee of the entire holiday, the day before departure, we found out that the flight was rescheduled to leave the hotel at 23:00. We immediately approached a woman (dark hair, thin, 43 years old, speaks both English and Russian) and asked if it was possible to extend the number. Alas, the hotel was full and we had to check out at 12.00. The woman assured us that there was a spa downstairs where we could wash, relax and get ready before the flight (opening hours were not announced). Departure day - checked out at 11. Went downstairs to the spa center to take towels to the beach, no signs for work - not a soul at the reception. We waited 15 minutes - no one (towels by the way 10 euro deposit). We got up, asked where the staff was, answered, wait, it will come soon. + 10 more minutes - no one. They spat, they left. We return to the hotel salty after the sea at 20.00, take shower accessories and go to the spa - closed. We go up to the reception - the same woman - I ask first in English - how is it, why is it closed, how can we wash ourselves, etc. They answer me that this is not her responsibility and there are no keys, and in general I didn’t tell you anything about the spa. Hm funny. I ask the name of my interlocutor (since there is no badge, which is unacceptable! 4 * : -)) - the answer is "I don't understand you. " I was refused to provide a complaint book, and naming my full name.
As a result, we washed on the beach under a shower with cool water and dried in the wind.
Even suppose it is true that there are no keys to the spa at the reception and in general the reception area is only a 2x2 place at the counter, but such dissatisfaction with the guests could be avoided and offered, for example, to go to dinner or a cocktail at the expense of the hotel. BUT....
I will not choose this hotel again.
If the hotel administration reads reviews, then I ask you to check your staff for professional suitability.
I really want to share my impressions about the rest, we just arrived yesterday. We traveled together, with a young man, before that we were in Turkey, Egypt, but we liked Cyprus more. The main difference: there is no attachment to the hotel, because. there is an opportunity to go to a huge number of interesting places in Ayia Napa.
The hotel is simple, no luxury, but clean, well cleaned. The food is quite European: everyone will find something for themselves.
Most of the tourists are English.
The staff does not speak Russian well, we met only two waitresses who understood a little.
I want to say one minus right away: a bad beach, it is impossible to swim there. We went, or rather drove (we rented a car), to neighboring beaches and even found our plus in this, because. it's interesting enough, we were on different beaches every day. Loved Conos Bay the most! ! Very nice, clean, few people and original sunbeds.
Night Ayia Napa is just super! The hotel is located from the club street in 10 minutes on foot. There are bars that work until two, after clubs open. There are barkers on the streets, with their help you can save on drinks or entering the club. There is a bar for Russians, I liked it there - Red Square.
During the day there is no heat, no one is sunbathing at 4-5 o'clock, in the evening it is also cool enough, at least for me, and my boyfriend felt great. It is best to sunbathe in the morning.
By car we went to Larnaca. A very impressive journey.
We were not on excursions, because. I didn’t want to bathe in buses all day, it’s better to sunbathe.
Meze is incredible. Namely, it is a national dish. We were brought 17 plates, not including caviar. I thought I'd burst. But very tasty. I advise you to try.
Have a nice holiday everyone.
The first is Konos Bay. The second is the hotel pool. The third is a hotel.
Rooms are ok, not very spacious. Cleaned like normal, towels change. But the linen, until we asked twice at the reception - we did not change it for 3-4 days. What is nice - a big TV, your own air conditioning. We had torn curtains in our room. Either no one complained (we, however, too) or no one cares. Our windows faced the courtyard (that is, the street), from where we could see the asphalted parking lot, a little further - the backyards of the mazins and the road. But this did not bother us much, because it did not interfere with doing our own business. The main thing is not noisy. But Russians are mostly accommodated with a view of the courtyard.
Food: Dinner - very tasty, lots of different dishes, fresh meat, fish, lots of salads and greens. Fruit is not very tasty, though.
the choice is small and often they are unripe, hard. We didn't take lunch. (HB)
And breakfast is a problem! Sausages are weird. And the omelet is impossible to eat at all! You could also take cereals, milk, juices (it seems like a diluted powder), chopped fruits, vegetables, toasts, jam, etc. But in general, breakfast is the same all the time and it’s hard to eat it on the third day.
Territory is also a problem. The hotel consists of two straight parts, at an angle of 135 degrees. Everything inside this territory is green and watered. But if you want to go to the sea, then it is 300-500 meters, and as soon as the pool ends + another 20 meters, a clay wasteland scorched by the sun begins, on which some rusty pipes, bottles, garbage pour out. That is, what we saw in the picture in the agency is not at all what it really is.
It seems that the staff is not very friendly, except for a few waiters and bartenders. It is especially pleasant to communicate with the bartender Dimitris. We burned very badly twice and he made something like sour cream for us somewhere (because there is nothing like it in Cyprus). Animation, though in English, but with a terrible accent. Well, in general, she is pissed off at the Germans.
Beach. This is a separate issue! If you want to swim in the sea, all the shores here are made of stone. The beach itself is sandy. Descent into the water - there is a small hole with sand, immediately the depth is about a meter. The diameter of the hole is about 5 meters. Further from all sides, too, stones. But there are very few people on the beach here, unlike other hotels and beaches. All sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, so the Russians lie on their towels and bedding. (something like mats can be bought for 2-3 pounds - this is * 2 = 4-6 US dollars). And the Germans don't go to the beach at all. They prefer the pool. By the end of the holiday, I understood them : ) - and also began to enjoy very pleasant water in the pool instead of swimming in the sea - even the birds drank from it.
What else. Shopping. Well, for shopping it is better to go, probably, to Nicosia. And in no case do not take all these excursions that are offered to you. The bus stops at every eatery and they push you for services you don't need. It's better to take a taxi. It will cost you £.30 to Nicosia. For four - 7 pounds (15 USD) instead of a bus for 30 pounds round-trip per person. Well, there is nothing to see on sightseeing tours in the hot season either. They point to a brook, they say that there is a waterfall, they point to a palm tree, they say - but this is a palm tree, etc. You can rent a car, but we were afraid, because the left-hand traffic. Nightlife is the only thing worth going to Ayia Napa for. Yes. 20 minutes by bus - a very good AQUA PARK. Spent the whole day there! I highly recommend going there - you won't regret it.
As already mentioned here, everything needs a deposit. Regarding the city, the position of the hotel is advantageous. To the road - 50 meters, to the city center - 10-15 minutes. Buses run on schedule.
The most pleasant. Due to the fact that the rocky shores and the rocky bottom in the sea, we crossed it only towards the end of our vacation, even those who are not very good swimmers can dive with a mask. It is very beautiful under water, all kinds of fish swim, I dived for hedgehogs. We also hunted small crabs - this activity was terribly exciting : ).
In short, the hotel does not pull on 4 stars, I do not know how to three. But in general - not bad. Of course, for this money, if I had to go to Ayia Napa again, now that I had some experience on how to spend money there and where to go, I would go there too.
The BIGGEST plus is that the hotel is small, thanks to this it is cozy and there are few people there - which is very nice, especially after Moscow....like that.
