Near the hotel there are historical sights of the city of Feodosia: the Aivazovsky Museum, Green's house, etc. Here you can also buy excursions throughout the peninsula. Large selection of cafes, canteens, souvenir shops.
There is also a cafe "Prival" opposite. I am glad that especially the music rumbles only on Fridays and Saturdays. Great experience overall from the hotel and the city. I want to come back and come back.... .

The following: there is practically no “face control” in the hotel, one gets the impression of a passage courtyard, you don’t want to leave the keys at the reception. Of the little things: sometimes there are interruptions in water supply, plumbing fails, many non-working sockets are found in the rooms, washed linen, it is better to have your own towel, mattresses, pillows and blankets are stained. And now the most interesting. We stayed at the Astoria at the beginning of September 2015. A couple of days after arrival, we were surprised: a fair unfolded in the lobby! For three days in a row, from 9.00 to 21.00, gentlemen from Tashkent were selling various rags, filling the entire aisle with counters, shoes, and bales. People from the street dug into it all, preventing the guests from getting to the rooms. Fellow sellers spent the night and ate right in the same hall, they had to step over their sneakers, teapots, sausage, trying not to react to impudent, unpleasant flirtations... At the entrance to the hotel they put up (apparently to attract customers) a column, turning on the full power of the song from the repertoire of Murat Tkhagalegov and others like him. That is, at night we died from serenades from "Halt", and in the morning we were met by oriental howls - a double "pleasure" with a maximum sound. The desire of the management to earn an extra penny by renting free premises is quite understandable, but still... However, thanks to the administration for the fact that, at the request of relocating us from this first-floor booth, she immediately organized a room on the 5th floor. By the way, do not take rooms on the 1st floor: there are no air conditioners, you have to open the windows. And they climbed into the neighbors through an open window at night (for the purpose of robbery, I believe). These events, which coincided with our arrival in Feodosia and accommodation in the Astoria, spoiled the impression of the rest. Summing up, I will say that Astoria is a normal place for inexpensive accommodation, with its own history, its own atmosphere and rules. I paid for the three stars - don't find fault with old blankets, broken beds and disgruntled faces of the staff, we decided. Probably, someone there will even like it.

The room was on the 3rd floor with windows to the courtyard, so everything is quiet and calm. The staff is friendly, cleaning is regular, I liked the location - in the center, a few steps from the embankment, cafes, etc.

We rested in the Crimea for May in the hotel ASTORIA near Elmas. The hotel is super water around the clock. The view of the fortress is simply stunned. The rooms are clean, the car is guarded. The owners are good, thanks to them for the rest.

The main disadvantage is that in most of the rooms the windows overlook the "embankment", where music rumbles in the cafe until 3-4 in the morning, i. e. if you plan to sleep in, this is not an option. The situation in the hotel, I think, has not changed since the 60-70s. The bathroom, to put it mildly, is not too clean, the taps work with varying degrees of success, there were no towels in the room, although they were supposed to. The bed linen is quite clean, although it does not really correspond to the size of the bed : ). So even the relative cheapness (by Crimean standards) of about 150 UAH per place (this is in a room with a shower) does not save the day. Our friends stayed in the private sector for 100 UAH.

And as soon as we came to the room in the evening, we found that 2 lovely cockroaches were hanging out on our bed. And in the shower in the bathroom, too, cockroaches, even under the carpet they crawl out in the evening.
