three for 10 days. December. That is, if you take away the tour operator's commission and the flight, then $ 20 per person remains for the hotel. So we got ready to relax on $20 a day.
And what was our surprise when we were very warmly welcomed, and immediately sent to dinner. We got ready to “fight for a piece” and saw a good restaurant with good upholstered furniture, a beautiful summer terrace overlooking the sea, we really liked it, we had breakfast and dinner there. The variety of food was excellent. I want to ask dissatisfied tourists - what do you eat if such a variety and quantity is “fififi” for you? 5 types of salads, all kinds of vegetables, pickles, olives, two types of rice, potatoes, spaghetti, stewed vegetables, baked vegetables, chicken, fish, beef and the obligatory "chef's dish". Yes, they gave out portions, but if you didn’t eat enough, or if you want more, feel free to come a second time. But you can't eat everything!
You can't even try everything at once! And I haven't mentioned sweets and cakes yet! Every day, a confectioner stood near the counter with sweets and analyzed what guests were choosing. Offered desserts. There were always fruits, 2 kinds. Oranges, melons, dates, bananas, apples, persimmons, sweets. All is well in terms of food.
Rooms. I'll tell you right away, read what is written in the tour. "Standart room" i. e. not suites, not two-room suites should not be expected. We handed a good expensive chocolate to the receptionist at the reception, and got a wonderful room on the second floor, overlooking the pool. Yes, in a distant building, but very nice. Quiet, no one, no drunken cheerful companies, no whining children, everything is decorously family. The room is large and spacious on the second floor. Premilenky balcony, with a table and chairs not plastic) on which it was nice to sit sipping tea, coffee. Remark.
Initially, there is no kettle in the room, but you can ask for it at the reception and they will immediately provide it to you with tea and coffee (instant) for free. Since we are seasoned tourists, we brought good brewed coffee with us and wonderfully brewed everything you need there, there is a TV, a beautiful bed, with good linen, 4 towels, a bed, a coffee table, a refrigerator, well, what can I list! For $20 a day, great! The bathroom has a bidet! Cleaning daily. Warmed up with a chocolate bar or a dollar (well, we are grateful tourists) will not decrease from us, but the employees are pleased. Everything is clean, tried hard.
The area is very well maintained. If we take into account that all this was created on sand and stones, you go and the eye rejoices! Remarque: I read in the reviews of one madam, “dirty, not cleaned, pieces of paper around the territory ....» WELL, NOT HOTEL EMPLOYEES scatter these pieces of paper, we are representatives of civilized European countries! Be human.
But I never saw the papers. All is clear. My husband was outraged by the incident in the men's room on the beach. (By the way, the toilets on the beach are very clean with paper, soap and towels). In the men's room, some lady put a small child, sorry, crap for the most part in a urinal - it's a shame! when my husband made a remark to her, she replied that she was so comfortable! This is a social disaster! In education! And then these same tourists write bad reviews for a good hotel!
The sea is a separate issue. Story. The beach is sandy. For children and pensioners, a beautiful and wide coastline for swimming. At neighboring hotels (I swam to neighbors, saw, talked with vacationers) there is only a descent to the water carved into the rock and a pontoon, and we have a pontoon and a large gentle shore. Remark. On the right, the hotel also belongs to the "continental", but it is being renovated now. But using their pontoon is not prohibited. Please, big iron pontoon. Not plastic.
It was difficult to walk on our pontoon, but why? The entire coastline of corals can be sailed, and then a fairy tale opens up to you ...depth and amazing marine life. I have seen ALL the fish in the red sea brochure. Except sharks, turtles and manatees. From tiny colored fish like caramels to a two-meter Napoleon fish. And needles, and groupers, and lionfish, and dragon fish, and moray eels, and tuna. The spectacle is amazing. There is nothing to go there without a snorkel mask and fins. Everyone with masks, even three-year-olds. I opened the beautiful underwater world to my child. Incredible emotions. Pleasure boats from all over Sharm al-Sheikh went to our reef. And we enjoyed this sea all day long. The hotel is located in a bay, so in December we had a very quiet and calm, and no storms. +28 every day. After all, it's a miracle when it snows in your city, and you enjoy a wonderful summer!
Bar on the beach.
Alcohol is free, as in all of Egypt - disgusting, everywhere. All the hotels we have been to. Therefore, we had no illusions. They took it in the duke. But there is always ice, soda, juices, tea and coffee.
And of course, gorgeous palm trees! Right on the beach. It is very comfortable in their shade.
I counted a lot of pools 4. And a separate water park 4 slides are quite cheerful. And there's a heated pool. A huge request, read what is written in the rules of the hotel! (yes, when you check in, they give out a sheet with the rules), it says the opening hours of the water park, pools and the beach.
As well as ethics in dressing in a restaurant. The hotel administration even upholstered the upholstered furniture in the restaurant, so that our TURists in wet swimsuits would not spoil the chairs!
Animation. The guys are trying. Misha is really handsome! Classic. Water aerobics, yoga. Gymnastics, volleyball...morning and afternoon. Children of animators adored. Who wanted to have fun, who wanted to lie on the beach and not move, watched.
In the evening (attention in the amphitheater near the beach) every day there is a disco for children, then a small show, and a disco for adults), but if the contingent of the hotel is “30 plus”, then there are few visitors. But the animators are trying.
Conclusion: if you came to “break away”, then you are not here. This is a very family run hotel. Serenely, nobly, quietly.
If you are aiming to drink from morning to evening and overeat, you are not here either.
But if you want to enjoy the sea, silence, pleasant emotions, then your choice will be the right one. And the main argument - this hotel, when choosing a tour, should not be expensive! This is his biggest advantage! It can't compete with other 5 star hotels, and if you're being charged a lot, don't believe it. This is the machinations of the tour operator. And we had a wonderful vacation on $20 a day! We, with our money, were miraculously “circled”, which is what we wish you! I hope my review was helpful, have a nice holiday!
Definitely will not recommend!
The rooms are small and shabby, there are no our TV channels, even towels and soap were not given (((
Meals for 3 with a minus, there was not enough food for everyone. And all because the hotel may have had about 100 people resting, and then 260 of us were brought unexpectedly... Zero service, broken and dirty dishes.
The beach goes by steps, with children in any case it is impossible!
I was pleased with the warm sea, excellent sandy entry, and beautiful fish from the pontoon. The pontoon, by the way, is plastic, staggers terribly, barely made it to the end (((
The territory is beautiful, but very empty, there are almost no people, and, accordingly, there is no service... it's good that we were only there for a day.
Good:
1. Territory - palm trees, flowers, swimming pool,
2. View from the room (only if the room is a front view!! ! Seaview is a view of the roof of the front view room),
3. and of course RIF!! ! The reef is super, coral fish... they even brought us from other hotels... It seems that I even saw a small Napoleon....60 centimeters, but maybe I'm confusing....
This is where the positivity ends....
About the bad:
1. The AllInclusive system DOES NOT WORK here!! ! What to say about ALL24 hours: no snacks, no late dinner, and alcohol until 00.00!! ! Is this ALL24???!!!
2. FOOD - HORROR!!! ! I just haven’t seen or tried anything like this anywhere... There’s nothing for breakfast except fried eggs !!!! ! even oils! You have to ask him!! ! Lunch and dinner - it's of course pasta !!! ! EVERYTHING - there are no sweets and fruits AT ALL, the same picture with vegetables - chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, potato salad - and both yesterday and the day before yesterday are served....Even the bread is stale! Wine is poured in 30 grams - while it is supposed to be 150, there is no white at all !! ! I won’t talk about the quality of alcohol, this is Egypt
3. The rooms are DIRTY!! ! it feels like they wiped their hands on the curtains for 10 years !! ! everything else - in the same arc, the bathroom - it's just scary to touch anything, in the bathroom ONLY in flip flops !!!!
4. The service is boorish, you see, we asked for what we paid for - All24!! ! The bartender in the disco bar was yelling stupidly, you see, he was forced to work around the clock when we said that this is not OOL24 !!! ! Mines are all dissatisfied, they are doing a favor... !! ! There is only one good bartender in the lobby - a tall handsome one, I don’t remember his name. He pours well, and smiles and jokes, and knows Russian. In general, he is there 1 such.
5. Animation... well, no way at all....sooo weak. The whole team is new since the beginning of March, so if there are good reviews about them, then these are older animators. Chief animator - absolutely no fun or enthusiasm. The main thing for him is to drag more tourists to the disco. We left once without him with another friend, so he started calling the disco, so that God forbid we didn’t go in at a price lower than his!!!
A separate question to the tour operator - ANEX Tour. They asked to move us to another hotel, they offered 2 to choose from - one 4-ka (is this generally normal when we paid 5ku ???!!! ) the other is on the second line (and the first one was paid). They offered to relocate to Grand Sharm for 100 dollars, now I opened the prices on their website, it turns out that in 7 days the difference is only 30 dollars, if they had told us this, we would have moved !!!
At the same time, they evicted us from Continental to 4ku, without our consent. Of course, we later resolved this issue, but still..... and all this is accompanied by throwing pipes and screaming.
RESULT: BORING, DIRTY AND NOT TASTY!! ! REEF - GOOD... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE HOTEL TO ANYONE, the reef in that region is everywhere - it's worth trying another hotel!
If you choose a hotel in order to blow off steam at discos and drink until 5 am, then this is definitely not the right place.
More seriously, the hotel is really good, it's not the first time I've been in Egypt with something to compare, the price and quality are quite consistent. As for the dissatisfied mime at the bars, I agree here, so I didn’t spoil my mood for 1 dollar solved the problem until the end of the vacation.
The food is typical for Egypt.
The biggest plus of this hotel is the RIF, I like to snorkel a lot, fish almost human size is impressive, I'm not talking about turtles, stingrays, thousands of other beautiful fish.
For me, there is only one conclusion, the hotel is good, the service is normal, the reef is super. I recommend!! !
This time the trip was given to us by my son, thank you very much. We, having read reviews of the Continental Garden Reef hotel on the Internet, were very upset. More me than my husband. Since there were a lot of complaints about the hotel. But they didn’t want to upset their son, so they didn’t change the hotel.
But, of course, we were prepared for the worst. And so, starting from the very first day of our stay in this hotel, we were greeted by unexpected amenities.
We settled in a nice room, which is located at about the same distance from the beach and the restaurant. Room on the first floor with a wonderful view of the beautiful flowers and the pool. They didn’t pay anything extra for this, no one asked for money, they talked to us respectfully. When the ants promised by the reviews came to us, help from the hotel workers came immediately after our call to the reception. At their request, we left the room, and when we returned, we did not find a single ant, even a dead one. The smell of some kind of poison for them still remained for a while. But the reaction of the employees and their work impressed.
Yes, the furniture in the room is not new, but everything works, clean towels and bed linen, although not new either, so it’s better to say about them that they are beige, not white.
We cleaned well, so we did not regret the tip. We also asked not to mold us all sorts of things from towels, because. it’s not very pleasant when the cleaner washes the floor, takes out the trash, and then slams the towels with the same hands.
The food at the hotel was also quite satisfying. Breakfasts are standard for Egypt: sausage (not very good), sausages, various cheeses, toast, delicious bread of various types, scrambled eggs, yogurts, quite tasty porridge, various vegetables, lots of pastries, tea and coffee, fruits. Lunches and dinners have always been chicken and meat (which is baked - very tasty). The husband said that the meat was lamb. It’s hard for me to believe, because in other hotels I didn’t like lamb at all, but here it was very tasty. There is a wide variety of side dishes, as well as salads. Fruit is not enough, but you can put up with it. The choice was good, we took the dishes again in 3-4 days. Juices are bad, which is typical for Egypt - from powders. Carbonated water, instant coffee, tea, quite decent wine and beer. Haven't tried hard alcohol. Already taught that he is terrible in this country.
Other restaurants, except the main one, did not visit. Here they did not understand who and when to sign up. But they were not particularly upset, because they did not come to overeat.
We can’t say anything specific about the animation, we didn’t use it. It was important for us to go to Israel, a trip to which did not take place on our last visit due to the fact that my husband was sunbathing in the sun. Burnt very badly. This time we took a cream with a very high protection, and in the hottest time we rested in the room. Therefore, it was possible to go to Israel. We booked a trip via the Internet from home. It is very convenient when you need to pay for the tour when you board the bus. Last year, the trip was very easily canceled due to the husband's ailments, no claims were heard from the Red Sea Travel staff about this. In general, the tour was well organized. Yes, it’s difficult, there are a lot of places to see, so there was some rush. But in general, the feeling was very good.
What else about the hotel. Very beautiful area, with lots of palm trees and flowers. Everything is very beautiful, and no less clean. It's great that you can also use the territory of the neighboring hotel - Continental Plaza. The most interesting thing there is a mini-aqua park.
Well, in the end, about the fattest plus of the hotel is the reef, thanks to which I really want to return to this hotel again. There are a lot of fish, you can see them even from the pontoon. And at the reef we saw stingrays, moray eels, and turtles. The water holds very well, so it is not difficult to swim with a mask. Not even swimming, but just hanging over the reef and watching its underwater life. It's like you're immersed in some other world. Very impressive.
We really liked the hotel, primarily because of the amazing reef.
They wrote that the pontoon was broken... they thought they would fix it... no, they didn’t fix it and they don’t even think... there is another one in a nearby hotel... not so problematic...
THE MOST HORRIBLE THIS IS THE STAFF... he hardly understands Russian and does not know English at all, and at the same time they are rude and then they don’t pay attention at all no matter what you say....the level of staff is below average . . this is understandable for pennies they don’t want to work...
There is no cleaning in the rooms... only the beds are covered... so there is no point in leaving a tip... (((
PLEASES only the REEF... it is really very beautiful...
The hotel itself is good, the building numbers are structured. . . everything is done. . . REMONITION TO THE OWNER. . .
1. Settlement. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening, at the reception they said in plain text that for a room with a sea view you would have to pay 20 dollars. We paid extra and it was worth it. It was about 5 minutes to go to the sea and the view from the balcony is very beautiful on the whole coast. The furniture is normal in the room, the only thing is that the bathroom is old. Regarding the settlement, I advise you not to pay 20 bucks right away until they ask, or until you see your number, and if it does not suit you, then negotiate.
2. Nutrition. Food, probably, as everywhere in Egypt, is standard. It is rare to come across hotels where the food is very tasty. I can say that we were not hungry. I don’t suffer without meat, so chicken and fish suited me just fine. My husband especially liked pastries (different types of bread, desserts). They ate a lot of raw and stewed vegetables, rice, fruits - grapefruits, dates, melons, physalis. From alcohol we drank only beer. In other reviews, you probably already read that it is better to take a bottle of whiskey with you, because. local alcohol is very dark. In general, food for C grade, but not critical.
3. The territory of the hotel is huge. There were places to walk - palm trees, flowers, many lizards, geckos, we also saw interesting birds, including a hawk. Nearby is the Continental Plaza Hotel, on the territory of which you can also freely stay. If you walk along the so-called embankment towards the Continental Plaza to the end, there is an observation deck that offers a wonderful view of the entire coastline. I advise you to go there in the evening.
4. There are no special complaints about the service. The staff is friendly, in general, respectful of the guests and help if you ask. Of course, not free, but it's better to pay a dollar than spoil your mood and create problems. The only time we checked in was that the porter brazenly demanded $10, but we "put him in his place". Cleaned well, but, unfortunately, not every day. Although once he even twisted swans out of towels.
5. The main fat plus of this hotel is that it is located near a beautiful reef. We went on a boat trip to the Ras Muhamed nature reserve and realized that our reef near the hotel is no worse. The diversity of the underwater world is simply amazing. We saw a lot of different types of fish, stingrays, even a turtle! We were just delighted with such a variety. This is what it is worth to go to this hotel!
Regarding the pontoon, which everyone criticizes... I advise you to take special shoes with you and you will not have a problem how to enter the water. We were absolutely not embarrassed by the fact that first you need to walk on the plates, and then climb onto the pontoon. Although I think for older people it is not very convenient. As an alternative, you can use the beach of a neighboring hotel, where there is a convenient pontoon.
6. Animation is good. The guys try hard, hold dance master classes, entertain on the beach (darts, volleyball, gymnastics), hold discos in the hotel in the evening and organize a trip to the disco in Naama Bay. In general, there was no time to be bored.
Conclusion: The hotel met our expectations in terms of price-quality ratio. After the vacation, there were good impressions of an unforgettable and beautiful underwater reef. I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a relaxing family holiday. For those who are picky about food, this hotel is better not to choose. As they say, everything has its pros and cons, so I wish you a good choice!
