Many acquaintances, having heard that I was going to the "deuce", made surprised grimaces and accompanied them with comments like - why spoil the rest? It was the first time I went to two stars, I didn’t know anything about it, so there was a healthy dose of curiosity and adventurism.
And let me tell you in advance - the impressions were extremely positive.
I want to make a small remark - I put the ratings on the basis of the fact that these are two stars. Still, the main thing is adequate representations. And the price-quality ratio is simply amazing.
Inexpensive, quiet and cozy, calm, small hotel Kalyptus has everything you need to ensure a good, pleasant stay.
A hotel in the very center of Kemer, 20 meters from the main street, a convenient location that provides walking distance to all important points of the city, while at the same time being set aside so that the noise of music from numerous cafes, restaurants, clubs, the sounds of the roadway does not interfere at night parts. Calm and quiet nights - if you appreciate them - you will not lose.
At the reception, a husband and wife rule everything - they speak English, there is also a guy who speaks excellent Russian, but he only works at night. Arrived at 11.00. Check-in at 14.00, but gave the keys already at 13.00. The room on the third floor is clean, not too small, everything you need - two beds, wardrobe, mirror, cabinet, TV, air conditioning - new and properly working, spacious bathroom - toilet, sink, shower. There was a hair dryer. No complaints. When you come from the beach or from the mountains at two o'clock in the afternoon, from the heat of +50, you open the room - the same wall of hot stale air beats in your face - you turn on the air conditioner at +18, go into the bathroom, take a cold shower for about five minutes, go out into the room refreshed , and it has already cooled down and ventilated - you understand that life is good!
Meals - of course, the variety of the table is not very much, but a full dinner is soup, the second: rice, pasta or eggplant with a cutlet, or chicken white meat, a classic salad - cucumber tomatoes, plus mint is added, which gives a very refined taste, separately vegetables and for dessert, watermelons, less often melon, as well as some kind of cake. Everything is very tasty, satisfying and two days in a row the same dish does not happen. Dinner from 19.00 to 21.00. Breakfast I tried only once - tomatoes, cucumbers, an egg in a bag, packages of butter and jam - like in airplanes, olives and some kind of dumb-looking sausage. In principle, killing a worm will do, but it starts very late: from 08.00 to 9.30. At this time, I'm already leaving. At least an hour earlier. Another point that someone considers a minus, and I - so a huge plus - cleaning. Removed only when you ask. Firstly, I am clean enough to clean the room every day after me, and secondly, you can rest easy at any time without expecting the cleaning lady to break in at 12.00 or 13.00. Or maybe I’m lying naked there, which is natural in such heat, or maybe I’m doing something else, that I obviously don’t need sudden witnesses. So here I will note in a positive way.
The hotel rests mainly Turks and Russians. I repeat - everything is calm, friendly, quiet and peaceful. The atmosphere is good and friendly.
About Kemer - the city itself is small, it takes 40 minutes to walk up and down, the promenade along the sea is too short - and it won’t gain a kilometer, only the central square is of sights, prices are written almost everywhere in dollars, and if you buy for lira - they sell at the rate of 1 / 2, although the real one is 1/1.7. But everything pays off with beautiful nature - to the left - a wonderful climb into the mountains, densely overgrown with conifers, with gorgeous smells and views, to the right, on the road to Antalya, 4 kilometers from Kalyptus - a chain of wonderful wild beaches, clear sea, pebbles the size of egg, few people, and, again, the views are excellent, colorful.
Well, the conclusion is that this hotel is suitable for people who are used to walking, discovering and exploring another country and culture every precious day of vacation, not getting out of the beaches, exploring the city, and using the hotel for the most part as a place for a quiet overnight stay, a hearty dinner, and a short day's rest .
Happy holidays!
