A bus takes you to the sea, the beach is gorgeous, there is a place to swim and see fish) I would like to note that the Arabs are less pestering, either civilization has reached them, or complaints to the police have had an effect (I was there 2 years ago, I know what I’m writing) Minus the huge mosquitoes (our fumigator didn’t act, and the workers didn’t even bully them, and then when you already start swearing) If you don’t stay in a hotel, then it’s good for an overnight stay. Cleaned every day. I wouldn't come back here. Another!! ! It’s a strange conversion: if you pay by card, they immediately add to your amount all the taxes they have to pay (if it’s dollars or pounds, then the rate is 55-60, and with a card it’s 30-32. Be careful. And I categorically do not recommend Mango Market and George Clooney stores. They're still scammers! Advertised stores, and nothing more. Strawberries rot the next day. The candies are disgusting, you can't eat them (they give some to try, they sell others). There are few tourists, so feel free to bargain. Bought the Internet for $8.23 gigs.
It was also surprising how the individuals themselves voluntarily irradiate themselves when passing through the frame. There is an alternative entrance and exit.
If you are not satisfied with something in the room or something is broken or missing, then just ask, and don’t demand it! How you treat people is how they will treat you. At the reception, no matter who was on shift, Ashraf or Mohamed or one of the other guys, they always listen and help solve this or that problem. Do not forget that you are visiting another country with its own laws and regulations. You came to relax and enjoy the sea, so do it!
The bathroom has a hair dryer that feels like it has been there since the first opening of the hotel, the refrigerator is barely working, the flat-screen TV is mostly local channels, there are 10 channels, there are 2 stupid Russian-speaking ones. The interior of the room is honestly depressing. About food: one main buffet restaurant, for breakfast, mostly boiled eggs or ready-made scrambled eggs, vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, a lot of types of cabbage) soft cheese, ordinary cheese, it’s not clear what, soy sliced sausages, there are sliced soy sausages, several types of side dishes (grilled vegetables, rice, potato slices) there are also pancakes, croissants, bread and sweet pastries, only orange slices from fruit. Tea, coffee in paper cups, water in a cooler, diluted juices. For lunch and dinner, the same thing is added with meat, chicken or fish in batter, chicken.
There is no bar in the restaurant, the waiter pours local alcoholic drinks, all beer and wine for a fee, as well as bottled water. The hotel staff is friendly, many understand and speak a little Russian, everyone tries very hard, including the kitchen. Cleaned in the room every day but without much effort. Towels and linen are changed every 6 days. The hotel is on the second coastline, a shuttle runs from the hotel to the beach according to the schedule. Palma beach is very good all 4 *, 3 hotels carry their guests there. Meals for a fee, water, tea for free. Towel for the beach must be taken at the hotel through the card. Previously the Hotel was an economical foursome now an economical threesome
Think well before choosing this hotel for your holiday!
Polite staff.
The food is good.
Drinks are like everywhere else in Egypt, only there is no wine.
Pools not heated.
Good location of the hotel.
We were very pleased with the rest, absolutely everything suited us! Yes, the hotel is a little old, an update would not hurt, but we did not expect luxury rooms. Everything you need was there, everything was in order, clean! The food is varied, but everything is like everywhere else in Egypt. Reading the reviews, I expected much worse, but were very pleasantly surprised! Who is looking for a budget tour - I sincerely advise!
So. We rested with my husband in Sharming Ying from 01/05/2022 to 01/19/2022. Bathed every day. It was warm all day. It even rained one day
We are in Egypt for the 4th time. Were in hotels 3.4 and 5 stars and in different areas. We didn’t see a special difference in hotels))) we don’t see the point in overpaying. But the Hadaba area is the best. Minimum wind. Lots of coral and fish. Calmly. Beautiful.
1. Hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were offered a very ugly room. On the advice of vacationers, we were given 20 dollars at the reception. and we were given room 525 in separate bungalows, with a balcony, a view of the pool, garden, slides and the sea could be seen in the distance. Look at the pictures below. Well, yes, as they say below, the curtains are not very clean, it was dusty on the telly, bedside tables, but I calmly wiped it myself, it didn’t work for me. Soap, shampoos were given when you ask and how much you ask. Room cleaning, change of linen and towels on request! And not as they write below - they didn’t clean it at all. So you didn’t just ask)) they are cleaned only with you. No one enters the room without you. We didn't have time to look at dust, stains, broken things, etc. We only slept in the room. Yes, and we don’t care, in fact)
The water was hot all the time, you just have to wait a long time until the cold drains and hot comes. Not a problem. There was a safe. White towels. For the 14th day, we asked to be cleaned twice, but we didn’t need to change the bed, why? )))
2. Territory. Not much big. Green. Beautiful!
3. Dining room. Eat to your heart's content! Lots of vegetables. A lot of sweets . . And I read reviews on other sites, people were on the very dates that we were, and they write there was no fruit, little food, they give meat in pieces, fish too... This is a lie! Of fruits were oranges, tangerines and pomegranates every day. Physalis a couple of times. When you come up, they give you two pieces of meat and two pieces of fish. What is not enough for you? ! And if it’s not enough, come up again and you’ll be laid like that again without any problems! The main thing is to smile at them! They write - they did not give snacks at the bar. You sho came to eat 24/7??? ? This is the first. Second. Snacks were every day! Only they are at the bartender Mahmud in the refrigerator! It's hot outside, you know? ! You come up, ask him and he gets you a choice from the refrigerator! We went to eat 1 time in the Fares restaurant. I recommend the soup is called the same as the Fares restaurant and bought 1 kg of large shrimp. And they cooked them on the grill for us there in the restaurant, we didn’t finish it, we took a lot of it with us and then ate it for two more days) They write “earned an upset stomach, etc. ” well, how would you like it? Another country! Three days before the trip, we drank pancreatin at home and drank there for the first three or four days, because the food is different! Water is different! Everything else! How did you want?!
4. Sea. Carries a bus to Palma Beach free of charge according to the schedule clearly. There are corals, fish, super! In the photo, see Palma Beach. You can enter from the shore, but there are stones. We went to this beach twice in 14 days. Rather, we walked for 15-20 minutes along the beautiful streets. We bought 1 dollar. ticket to Reef Beach, which is almost across the street from the hotel. One and a half minutes to go. On this beach, as in our opinion, there are more fish and corals. And less people! And you can swim even to the right wherever you want, even to the left. Bo on Palma Beach is a limited place to swim. There are free sunbeds on Reef Beach at any time of the day. Entry from the bridge only. But that's not a problem either.
5. Animation. Every evening for 14 days! There were a lot of interesting things. But we often walked around the city, walked to the Old City, about 30 minutes. Taxi 2-3 dollars from the hotel to the mosque in the Old City.
6. Pools. There are three of them. The large one (pictured below) is not heated. Smaller, it is, as it were, on the territory above, it was heated all the time! And below they write on our dates that it was cold. Don't lie to people! And the third child is also warm. Children and even adults went down the hills)) it was fun!
7. In the hotel, Wi-Fi is paid 2 dollars / day. I don’t know what quality, we bought a local Vodafone SIM card, turned on the distribution on phones and did not take a steam bath. The Russian channels were 4-5 pieces. though they were turned on two days before our departure) but we don’t care, we stuck our phones and listened to their songs on TV while washing, because the rest of the time we walked)
8. The staff is very friendly! Help, advise. It is not true that they are rude, unless you are the first to be rude. We left at 4 am. We were given a ration, a simple one, really, we knew this, because in the evening we took ourselves to eat in the vessels (I brought the vessels with me on purpose) and also let coffee in the dining room, drink, have a bite if we wanted. Yes, at night they opened a dining room for the two of us! Because we smiled at everyone, didn’t be rude, and they treated us the same way. Dot!
And, they also wrote they say they don’t bring water to the room. And why is it so difficult to go to the dining room to eat and take a bottle with you and collect as much as you want?!
Bottom line - we'll be back here again, that's for sure! It all depends on why you are going. We went beyond the sea, fish, walks, impressions. We got it. And if you go for lobsters, quails, change of linen every day, look at the curtains in spots, and on the floor in the dust - then sit at home!
P. S. Bring Alenka chocolates with you, they will kiss your hands for them) and we ourselves gave many $ 1 each to the cleaners in the dining room, in the lobby, and bartenders. We do not feel sorry, but they are pleased because Their salaries are meager, and the working conditions are harsh! Remember this!
There is a bus from the hotel to PALMA beach, strictly on schedule! This beach is also taken from other IL Mercato hotels. Tivoli for tourists from our hotel there is a corner in the bar where they pour water, tea, coffee for free. For money you can take a snack beer ice cream at the bar. By the way, the hotel paid bottled beer STELLA $ 3 on the beach $ 4! At the reception you can buy a ticket for one dollar to the REEF BEACH beach, which is located opposite the hotel, a very good beach and it is freer here. The hotel offers free local drinks from alcohol, vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, zebiba aniseed vodka, an analogue of Greek ouzo or Turkish raki.
The food at the hotel is very tasty and high quality. There is always chicken, beef, fish, vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, zucchini, fruit, we had melons, guava, pomegranate, oranges. Large selection of sweet pastries. There was enough for everyone. Food is not worse than some fives. The hotel was 100% occupied, so if you come to the opening of the restaurant, a queue was formed, but then everything is free! Near the hotel there are shops where you can buy food and fruits, various souvenirs.
Internet at the hotel is paid - $ 2 a day, but we did not use it, You can buy a local SIM card. The hotel has a SULTAN store, a very good selection of oils, perfumes, various creams, tea, coffee, and much more, and most importantly, the owner and seller of this store is a very good person Mukhamed - he will always tell you everything, help, connect to his wi-fi, knows a few languages - Russian, English and even Italian. I also want to thank all the hotel staff for a pleasant holiday, especially the General Manager Mohamed El Said, who is always ready to help tourists and solve all problems. Good luck and prosperity to you. I recommend. I will definitely come again!
Upon arrival at 6 am, we were not settled immediately, and we waited until 10 am when we received the bracelets. But at this time we went to a steep beach (Reef Beach), which is located 3 minutes from the hotel. We were allowed to leave our things in a special room (luggage office). The price for the beach is $ 3 per person, but if you ask at the reception to make you a ticket, the price will be $ 1 for one.
When we came back to the hotel, we were given bracelets with which we had access to everything, but the room was settled only at 12 noon.
The hotel itself is good for the price. For a surcharge you can get a room with a view of the pool, but we took a regular room. Cleaned up every 2 days. Once they even left a ticket to an Italian restaurant and put a bunch of roses on the bed.
The food is normal, there is always fish and meat. There isn't much variety, but you won't leave hungry.
Also, a bus often runs from the hotel (if you ask the driver, the bus will stop you at El Mercato or the Mango supermarket) from where you can quickly get to the old town) to Palma Beach, which has a very good reef, and there is also a rocky entry where you can swim with kids. Also on the beach there is a volleyball court, a restaurant, a beauty salon. Walking distance to this beach is about 30 minutes.
In general, for such a price, all the shortcomings can be forgiven, if you need very good service, food, it is better to take a better hotel.
It all started with the check-in: on the transfer, we waited for a long time for a person, plus our hotel was the last, in general, hungry and tired, we arrived at the hotel around the beginning of the ninth evening. We were immediately put on bracelets and kindly offered to come down to eat. There we were waiting for the remains of the most tasteless food that I have ever eaten. Plus, everything looked already completely unappetizing: the food was scattered, the tables were greasy, not wiped, the windows were dripping, everything was fingerprinted. We decided to at least refuel with bread, but it is generally unsalted. As a result, we ate sweet muffins, this is the only food that tastes good, but you won’t go far on them, but only gain weight.
We went to check in, they gave $ 10, they gave us a room on the first floor by the pool, but it was all smoky, there was an unpleasant heavy bitter smell, we were with a child, there were only two separate beds, there was no third one. Again we go to beg, they brought a rusty cot with slats and the guy left, we didn’t understand - at least there would be a mattress, we waited another 20 minutes, he brings it. While they were trying to unpack things: a hanger fell apart in their hands: the door from the refrigerator fell off, the door to the safe was closed with the code of the previous guests. There are no towels, no shower products either, the water in the shower is barely warm, I always froze there. Mosquitoes fly in flocks and are already beginning to hunt us, especially since it is dark in the room, there is no chandelier on the ceiling, and for mosquitoes it is lunch time. The skin itches from the dust, I take gloves, a rag, a product (thanks to the reviews I brought it with me), I start cleaning, spraying with a freshener. I just have hysterical laughter already, in the refrigerator the main place is occupied by ice in the center, bottles somehow fit. They brought a mattress and linen crumpled, with stains, we are no longer surprised, we switched to self-preservation mode, with the thought that tomorrow we will see the sea, the rest is trifles. They asked for towels, brought small ones, like for legs, but thanks for that too. As a result, another Egyptian asked for a chocolate bar, but there was none, they gave peanuts.
And the next day it really became easier and they began to adapt, although the breakfasts were the most meager, but in general they were not hungry. They took appliances with them, because they read that unsanitary conditions, all employees take them with their hands, and so it was and always wiped the appliances with alcohol wipes. But nevertheless, indigestion has not been avoided. Either the food is not processed, or it is not suitable, or they ate incompatible foods, I want to believe that the latter. But we are still moving away, and by the way, when we were going to the airport, my stomach was so pressed and ached, I thought everything would be bulging, even though they would not be regarded as a terrorist act)) but of course I was not laughing then and was very nervous that I would not run to the toilet where is he at the airport? In general, take something for diarrhea and a fastener, it won't hurt.
Now about the service, it is minimal: here everyone wants a tip or at least something, and they constantly not only hint about it, but directly talk about it. But you can’t give by force, but you can only take it away, we learned that no one gives money, in principle. At the bar, you will constantly be banned with a very unhappy face or asked to come later or poured at the bottom (we took only b / a drinks) if you don’t give anything. We once gave coffee in bags (we brought it with us), the face changed, the bartender got prettier right, poured it in full, the next day the same thing again, again sour. Probably our coffee is tasteless)) It was mostly a nine-year-old daughter who went, her conscience apparently does not allow children to be sent with nothing. Here you have all inclusive.
On the second day there was a meeting with the guide, who is of course very interested in selling excursions. It turns out that all guests need to give him a completed A4 about the return flight number, so that he enters and does not forget to pick you up. So, in order to give it away, we waited two hours while he advertised and sold tours to everyone who wanted to go somewhere. And we are unwilling, which means that the queue is at the end. They also waited until the safe from the previous guests was cracked and a new seal was made, as a result, half of the first day was spent waiting and at lunchtime we rushed at full speed to the sea, which would cover everything: all the long flights, a dirty room with a smell, tasteless food, mediocre service, a children's program with songs with obscene language, gluttonous mosquitoes, on which the raptor does not work well, barely warm water in the shower, traumatic slides where a person broke his head in front of us, chipped tiles by the pool and many more. other little things that generally make up the impression of the rest.
And oh miracle! The sea, the Red Sea - it's beautiful! and equalizes everyone, whether you live in a bungalow or in six stars, it is equally accessible to everyone, all experiences go away, complete harmony, joy, delight, fullness comes, around a flock of magnificent, colorful fish. And all this is already such trifles that are not worth your worries; you plunge into a bright range of positive emotions here and now, you stop the moment, you feel how the sea envelops: warm, salty, friendly, beautiful, sun glare along the waves, you imagine how it once parted in front of Moses, that you seem to be involved in this now. . . Happiness embraces and this is what remains in the memory and heart forever and for which it is worth going to Egypt after all. But not in this hotel.
