Dirt dust and debris everywhere! Lamps - one is broken, the second - on a single screw, and that one will fall on your head when you sleep. Curtains are torn and dirty. On the first evening, he asked in a good way - to clean the room and take dishes out of the room after breakfast and dinner, so as not to attract insects all day, to replace a broken chair, on which there are traces of killed mosquitoes and some other stains of a dubious nature. "Friendly staff" simply spat at my requests for three days.
In the morning, I again took out the dishes myself, defiantly, past the "employees" of the hotel, who were sitting in the lobby area, stretching their legs and not taking their eyes off the phones. In the evening he issued his demands in writing in English and Russian - the same result. On the fourth day, my nerves gave out and I demanded the owner of the hotel. By phone, I told him that I could buy toilet paper, shampoo and everything that should be according to the conditions of residence myself, if they refused to transfer me to a normal room without a tangible surcharge, but I would not wash the floor, windows and glass in the shower room myself! Let the staff do it at least every other day!
The hotel is empty, I'm the only one, neither boozy Russians, nor drunken Belarusians, I paid back in February, at the moment the price has been reduced a lot, but I don't demand a price adjustment, create elementary conditions or transfer to a normal room! Hearing the answer of the "boss", I almost fell - "the hotel is very crowded, there are a lot of guests and the staff does not have time to clean all the rooms. " As it turned out, he does not shun an open lie or does not know what is happening in his hotel. Moreover, the receptionist immediately demanded an extra $89 for early check-in and late check-out. Goodwill on his face flashed only after he had a $100 bill in his hands.
Only after threatening to contact the tourist police, they came to clean the room... when I was sleeping, at half past eleven at night!! !

It is full of cafes, shops and entertainment, which compensated for the lack of animation in the hotel.
The food wasn't great, but we weren't hungry. In general, I can say that the price-quality corresponds.

cozy hotels with good service and a decent audience (no "all inclusive"). But this hotel was too quiet even for us. Those. Just a place to sleep and eat. Regarding these two positions of objection and
no complaints. BUT NOTHING MORE!! ! No hint of sports and entertainment. Beach - hotel Lido, no sunbeds
enough, 5 umbrellas for everyone, to the beach and back - 113 steps from the mountain, but the fish and corals can be seen without masks, and the entrance is sandy. The ground floor rooms face DIRECTLY TO THE POOL WITH LOUNGE LOUNGES AND VACATIONS.
Food is decent for 3 *, desserts are super! Another plus - to the center of Naama 5 minutes waddle (the same 113 steps). Everything rattles and sings there, but the hotel is quiet.
But an excursion to Jerusalem and Jordan is wonderful. Although everyone went to Jerusalem, and Jordan was considered a nice addition, it turned out quite the opposite. I will not write anything about Jerusalem, maybe I am not yet ready to perceive it. But Jordan is a beautiful country, as far as we all have noticed. Very clean, even the villages in the mountains are like dollhouses. Petra is the eighth wonder of the world! ! We walked back and forth for about 10 km without even noticing. We also had an absolutely wonderful guide - Abdel. He once translated "Eugene Onegin" into Arabic in verse! He talked a lot about the country, in general, a rather wise person with a philosophical outlook on life. By the way, he thought for a long time about crime and could not say why they were put in jail in Jordan - they don’t steal, they don’t kill, they don’t rape, they don’t cheat, they don’t drink, there are no drugs either. Although there is a prison and even the death penalty. Of the Arab countries we have seen, we liked this one the most (we have not been to the UAE).
Well, I recommend the hotel to middle-aged people who can somehow entertain themselves, take sunbeds at 7 in the morning and at the same time are able to climb 113 steep steps in the heat 3-4 times a day.

Vacationed at Eden Rock in September 2008. I'll tell you that for a troika, this is just a super-hotel! Excellent combination of price / quality. I am in Egypt for the 3rd time, I was in the four and five, and good ones. Once again, the hotel is good. Cleaning every day (don't forget to leave 2 pounds). Shampoo and shower gel are given, however, only upon check-in. … More ▾ Vacationed at Eden Rock in September 2008.
The territory is small, but well-groomed, watered and cleaned every day. Very beautiful lawn, flowers, palm trees. Beautifully mowed bushes. The pool is small but again clean. The restaurant is also small, but good, the service is excellent. The food does not differ in variety, but no one will be hungry: there is a choice of food, there are always meat or fish dishes, there is always fruit, dessert. And no one beats hands for an extra piece of meat (as I read about some triples in Egypt). I read in the reviews that you can’t bring food and drinks bought in stores with you to the hotel - I don’t know, no one has ever looked into my bag.
The hotel is two-story: on the second floor there are balconies, on the first floor the terrace goes directly either to the pool or to the lawn. This area has just begun to be built up with hotels, so the view from the main entrance is not respectful, but it’s not figs to do there (only needed for transfers or excursions).
The location of the hotel is just a song. The beach and Naama Bay are all nearby, no need to drive anywhere. One problem: there you need to go 110 steps down (and then up, respectively). It is really difficult, I called these steps “Circles of Hell”, but you can get used to it. Guests of "Eden Rock" use the beach of the hotel "Lido". The beach is excellent, sandy, without any pontoons, the depth starts after 30 meters. There is a small coral there, but there are a lot of fish, even a moray eel lives - I saw it myself.
Another minus is that the landing planes fly right over the hotel at a low altitude, but in principle it is even interesting. And all night you can hear the music from the discos of Naama Bay.
And there is no animation - but sorry, this is a triple.
I almost forgot. When you arrive in Sharm, the host (we had a TEZ TOUR) tries to push you to another hotel with a similar name “Rock Hotel”, like there are no places there (or maybe tourists won’t notice the difference in the name). Read reviews from that hotel to compare. I recommend that you be persistent and not get off the bus until you are brought to your destination.
So, if you want to have a normal rest for relatively little money - WELCOME in “Eden Rock”. You won't be disappointed.

The hotel pleased. Nice rooms, excellent plumbing - nothing flows anywhere, there was never a problem with water. The only negative - on the one hand, something unfinished spoils the view. But from our room overlooking the garden, this was not noticeable. Breakfasts are normal - fruits, buns, fried sausages, but we didn't always get coffee - we had to wake up earlier. … More ▾ The hotel pleased. But from our room overlooking the garden, this was not noticeable. Breakfasts are normal - fruits, buns, fried sausages, but we didn't always get coffee - we had to wake up earlier. Dinners - without criticism. Excellent menu. It doesn’t have its own beach, a piece of Lido beach is rented, sun loungers are in the second row from the sea. But that didn't seem like a problem. Service is great. You will not find such a friendly and polite staff. But no one speaks Russian. Drinks and water in the hotel are expensive, it is better to buy it all in Nayama and store it in the refrigerator in the room. I don’t recommend it for the elderly and very young children - there are more than 100 steep steps to the sea, but for those who want to lose weight - that’s it))). There is a safe at the reception, but nothing was missing from the room - I left my laptop.

To begin with, it was written in the voucher that it was 4 *, but in fact 3 * and no more!
We were brought to the hotel around 11 in the morning, check-in, as you know, in all hotels from 2.00. But we were politely asked to wait until the room was cleaned and after 15 minutes we were already shown one room on the second floor overlooking the garden and the sea. They said if we wait a bit, they will show us a better room) as we asked)) after 10 minutes of waiting, we were shown a second room on the first floor overlooking the pool and the sea. To make it clearer to you, the hotel is built in the form of two semicircles - a larger semicircle inside the circle itself has a garden, and the open part looks at the bay (and the extreme part of the semicircle is a construction site), the second semicircle is smaller, in its middle there is a swimming pool and the open part also looks at the bay, there is also a dining room, from the windows of which you can see the Pasha disco and the rooms on the first floor have steps directly to the pool.
I was pleasantly surprised as for the first time in my life we were offered a room to choose from. Of course, we chose option number 2, since it had access from the balcony directly to the bass and to the dining room (Muscovites from the next room paid $ 35 extra for such a room). It cost us free, perhaps because we were 2 pretty girls, or maybe because my friend knew Arabic and they took her for theirs.
The room itself is ordinary, nothing special (a little shabby), there is a shower in the toilet, the telephone and one of the lamps did not work in the room, after the 3rd request, everything was fixed for us, the air conditioner worked fine, they cleaned it too well, twisted swans and turtles, etc. Towels they didn’t change every day, but when I called and asked to be changed, they did it.
In general, the staff there is super, everyone is already running over you) They constantly ask how things are going, the manager himself met every dinner at the entrance to the dining room, and asked how we were relaxing and whether we liked everything.
About food, I can say that the breakfasts were the same... either boiled eggs, or scrambled eggs... bullshit in short. But the dinners were good, only little fruit. At breakfast, drinks are free of charge: tea, coffee, juice (powder), milk. At dinner, all drinks are chargeable, including water (6 pounds).
The biggest minus of the hotel is the beach! There is no beach of its own, all vacationers go to the beach from the Lido hotel. Walk down the stairs and walk 20 meters and you are on the beach. The beach is very small, there are only 4 umbrellas for the entire beach. AND THERE IS NEVER A FREE LOUNGE! my friend and I came to the beach not late, but not early either, around 9. They made a scandal, a cat to a man. he works there, and he tells us they say we need to come earlier (before breakfast) and take sunbeds. We look and there is no one on the sunbeds, only towels are lying around... A couple of times he found sunbeds for us, they didn’t bring us an umbrella, because everyone was also busy and only palm trees saved from the sun, there are a lot of them. One fine day, there were no sunbeds for us and I had to follow the manager to our hotel, I quickly found him, and when we came to the beach together, sunbeds were quickly found for us. Eden Roc has a sort of contract with the Lido that Roc can only use 30 sunbeds, but there are a lot more people!
There are no carals on the beach, the entrance to the sea is free, but if you want to watch the sea world, you can go through the neighboring beaches to the panton (as we did) and from there snorkel, there are fish and everything you need)
As already written before me, the hotel wins with its location. You go out and you are in the center of Nyama Bay. Therefore, I didn’t have to be bored at the hotel, we spent time actively))
In general, I really liked the rest, because the hotel does not play a big role for me.
Of course, if you eat on the condition that you don’t get out of the pool and in general from the territory of the hotel with the expectation of a relaxing holiday, then Eden Rock is not the best option. And if the hotel is just a place to sleep, change clothes and continue walking, great! He is for you!
I hope my review will be useful to you, Olesya.

The food is super, every day a new menu, and no yesterday's potatoes with a peel. This is a vacation for cheerful youth who do not need all this animation and other tinsel. True, the pools are not heated, in January it is already cold there, but we went to a nearby hotel, no one noticed us there in a friendly way. There is a jacuzzi and warm water.

I want to immediately note the main pros and cons of this hotel (subjective, of course, but as close as possible to the objective):
- nasty beach
- a dirty sea (fortunately, I am not the first time in Sharm and I know firsthand about the beauty of the Red Sea, because the sea near the hotel's beach is very dirty, there are practically no corals, and multiple yachts and boats in this part of the bay do not make it possible to swim far in the sea)
+ you can go into the sea barefoot (there are no corals)
+ the hotel itself is clean, nice, quiet
+ not too many people
+ the pool is clean
+ staff in Egyptian nimble)))
++++ near Naama Bay (go down the mountain and you are on the central party street of the city !!!!! - insanely convenient !!!!!!!!!! )))
But in fact, rest does not depend on the hotel and the beach, but on people and their mood! My friends and I had a great time!!!!!!!!! !

For some reason, there are no fresh reviews about this hotel anywhere. How is it, what to take with you? I am traveling from 01/16/2011 to 01/30/2011 with a girl. Is there a safe in the room, if so, which room did you have or a safe at the reception and which one?
