Rough-looking guards in black baggy suits with huge walkie-talkies at the ready, always standing in the middle of the aisle and not even trying to step aside when you walk with bags - they had to be bypassed. Security communicates with each other on a selective mat, and this is done through a walkie-talkie and amplified by speakers walkie-talkie repeatedly. But it seems to be normal for this hotel.
3. The rooms that keep the elements of the former luxury left from "KEMPINCKY" are hopelessly outdated and require repair, at least cosmetic - scratched and torn in many places peeling wallpaper. Faded, worn, stained with suspicious stains carpet.
4. The shafts of panoramic elevators are dusty, the glass of panoramic elevators is so dirty that they are no longer transparent.
5. Breakfasts are accompanied by loud rock music from the ceiling speakers - the FM station RADIO ROCK is playing - (thanks, at least not CHANSON). Disgusting coffee from a pot with a tap - and this is 4 stars ??? .
6. The main thing is that it is clear that everything was purchased correctly and of high quality - so the correct hotel German dishes could not help but please - but this is the merit of KEMPINSKI - everything else - rough staff and so on - these are miracles of inept, home-grown Ukrainian management.
7. Small, antediluvian CRT TV in the room.
P. S. When handing over the room, the maid rushed into it without letting us out (the impression that she was standing under the door) and began to check the completeness of towels, bathrobes and control panels. .
Already on the way to Kyiv, we discovered that we forgot a rather expensive perfume in the bathroom. No one tried to return it to us - although the receptionists and the maid talked on the phone and the maid could not help but notice our loss.
CONCLUSION: EXPENSIVE, DISGUSTING, SOV-LIKE. "Banana" business in the "banana" republic.

The sea is beautiful regardless of the weather.
Interiors with original paintings of modern art adorn the main hall, a spacious lobby bar with Internet turned out to be very handy when it was necessary to wait an hour before the start of seminars. A very cozy conference room with a full-wall view of the open sea.
Lunch at the restaurant can not be called exquisite, but it did not cause any complaints.
Polite staff not only smiles, but also helps to resolve issues.
There are three things I would say about the shortcomings.
Firstly, the walking distance to the central street - Deribasovskaya - does not allow us to confidently recommend the hotel to the elderly or families with strollers. The "Dyukovskaya" stairs can be "go around" on the funicular, but to get from the hotel to the funicular, you need to overcome the stairs to the 1st floor without a ramp for the stroller, and then "dive and emerge" from the underpass.
Secondly, there is no beach near the hotel (although swimming in the center of Odessa is not the smartest thing to do).

My friend and I lived in a junior suite! Huge room, bed with small pillows!!! ! After a long journey from Kyiv, I really wanted to take a shower, but only hot water flowed from the tap !!!!!!! ! There is not even an elementary first aid kit, only a pharmacy kiosk on the 1st floor, which for some reason is constantly closed!!! ! The sports club and the pool were, to our surprise, also paid !!! ! In the evening, they had a light dinner in the room, they didn’t bring half of what they ordered, they probably just didn’t hear on the phone (((But paid parking finished off my impression. They also named one cost of living, but in the end it was completely different (they said that apparently someone didn’t understand something - either we or the staff when we found out the cost of living. Although the question was asked clearly from our side). Also of the minuses is the poor sound insulation of the room (the howling of the wind from the sea really interfered with sleep. And what were these wind blows on the windows of the 11th floor worth : )! ), and also the fact that you can eat after 11 pm only by calling the room service, because . the restaurant only serves alcohol after 11 (they didn't even have a sandwich! ).
