Now about the shortcomings - food at the level of the poorest soviet recreation center (for very tolerant people). Unappetizing, sloppy and tasteless messy both for the first and for the second, always stale pastries (also very tasteless). Vegetables and fruits are very few and unripe. The rooms are never cleaned, the first floor smelled of mold all over. The canteen itself with dirty windows and stuffy, distribution in the common room, there is no choice, only a complex. You can go at the expense of the enterprise, but I don’t advise for your own money, Leopol or the private sector is better.
We climbed to the 4th floor - the view is amazing, we spent the evenings on the balcony with a cup of tea.
The room is not big, cozy, after renovation.
Hot water regularly, on schedule.
Very satisfied with the food: hearty and tasty. Borscht, like homemade! Thanks to the cook, Lida, and the girls.
The administrators are very responsive and polite, they will always help, prompt, advise.
Special thanks to the maids for cleanliness and order.
It is a pity that we did not wait for the arrival of the masseur.
Hot water regularly, but on schedule.
Sea, mountains, air!! ! Insanely beautiful views. Didn't want to leave.
We miss you, Castropol!
Before the trip, I studied the reviews about the boarding house - half "good", half "horror".
I was convinced in my own skin those who wrote "horror" were 100% right.
Pros - the building is located 100 meters from the sea. Beautiful nature, especially the view from the sea to the mountains. View from the balcony of the southern room to the cypresses and the sea. There are not many people on the beach, the sea is quite clean, only the proximity of sewer discharges confuses.
Cons - the food is disgusting: green scrambled eggs, portions of chicken that smell incomprehensibly and contain only bone and skin, meat that cannot be chewed, leading to questions about its origin with its color and smell. I read about a variety of pastries in one of the reviews: dried bread left over from lunch will be served for dinner and store-bought cookies are all pastries. Tea and biscuits are all you can eat in the dining room.
The room is dirty, under the bed there is a layer of dust of 1cm, in the bathroom the ants have made their paths. Fans of entomology will be interested in black cockroaches appearing in the dark. Falling asleep, I felt with my hand on the end of the mattress bumps. Raising the mattress, I found dried vomit on the end near the headboard.
You can go for a walk to the embankment to the left past the buzzing and stinking sewage sump, or to the right past the construction site of a new boarding house and tent camps for vacationers "savages". Walking uphill is a time-consuming and not interesting occupation, everything is surrounded by fences. A lot has been written about the courtesy of the boarding house staff before me.
On the third day of "rest" in turn (a child, then two adults) picked up an intestinal infection - two days of "laying down" and communicating with the "white stone".
I don't understand the negative reviews! personally, 10 days spent in Castropol was not enough for us to enjoy the rest and we will be happy to come again!
