Rested at the end of August. I bought at the last moment and there wasn’t much to choose from, and the price was quite attractive, although the reviews were alarming. The hotel is large, 10 floors, 4 * on the facade (I would not give it, but everything is so relative with these stars). Excellent location across the road from the beach, close to the resort center, full of cafes, shops, amusement park, ... but the hotel is not noisy. Room (room itself) 14 meters, balcony, side sea view. furniture and carpet are tired, but tolerable, TV is the usual 4 Russian channels. The main minus of the room - there is no shower cabin in the bathroom - just a curtain, everything flows down the drain in the floor, it is very inconvenient that the floor is constantly wet. Cleaned normally, linen changed 1 time, towels changed every day. The room has a safe but paid - 45 lev per week. , wi-fi is also paid, the minibar is empty (filled at your request, of course for a fee), the air conditioner worked perfectly. The pool is large, but you need to take a sun lounger early (if you really want to swim in bleach instead of the sea), there aren’t enough of them, though many are located on the grassy lawn near the pool, it’s bad that you won’t find shade near the pool - the whole area is under the sun all day. The choice of food in the restaurant is small, especially for breakfast (boiled and fried eggs, several types of sausages, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, cereals, balls, milk, honey, jam, coffee, UPI-type drinks), for dinner, several dishes fromdifferent types of meat and chicken (different every day), 2 types of soups (different every day), rice, french fries, steamed vegetables, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, ice cream, 1-2 types of cakes), from fruits only watermelons and melons (basically none) for dinner and oranges for breakfast, drinks for dinner are paid. If something came to an end, very quickly informed. If possible, take only breakfast, there are so many cafes around and such a choice of food!!! The staff is quite friendly. In general, a good option if offered at an adequate price.

Good afternoon, dear tourists! I spent my vacation at the Phoenix Hotel and I want to tell you about it. . . So, let's start with the check-in - it went quickly (23:00) politely, we didn't have to wait because the rooms were booked from 12:00. Number! at first glance, not bad, in the dark and after a tiring road.

I was embarrassed by the bathroom in which instead of a shower or a bathtub there was a mixer on the wall and a curtain + a hole in the floor for water drainage. It was a shock, for a 4 * hotel this is unacceptable! The carpet in the room is so dirty that if you walk without slippers along the number, your feet become black as coal, and if you are still wet after a shower and your feet are wet, you need to wash for a long time... The furniture is ordinary, slightly tired, the linen is clean, the TV, the refrigerator work, the hairdryer and air conditioning too. You have to pay for the iron, in my opinion, 2 leva per hour (11 UAH). There is no internet in the room! There are 6 leva per day (30 UAH) in the lobby! Balcony 1 sq. m. There are 2 chairs on the balcony: plastic chairs that have not been white for a long time + a table even more sad.
The first night was sleepless, since the room was located right at the entrance to the floor and all night old and young were staggering back and forth on the floor, nervously tugging at the plastic door, which made heart-rending sounds. It was not possible to sleep. . . At 6 am, grandparents from Europe prefer to take sun loungers by the pool, shaking them and shouting to each other. I tried to change the room to which the hotel manager was rude to me, showed me the most dead and cold room on the 1st floor, which naturally would not suit me and pretended that she was busy. I had to come to the room at a time when everyone was already finishing staggering and falling to sleep exhausted. Where the old people have so much energy - probably a mystery from the beer that they whip for days without leaving the hotel a single step!
Cleaning:
if you take into account the fact that my room was clean, it seems that no one lives there at all (I put my things in the closet), then it was hard to understand whether they cleaned the room or not. But the shower was never cleaned! if you are a brunette with long hair, took a shower in the morning and dried your head with a hair dryer and didn’t remove your hair on the floor yourself, then it will lie there for a long time. It’s probably just not comfortable for the cleaning lady to go there, because there is still a wet floor that dries only in the evening.
Restaurant and food:
The restaurant is similar to a dining room, if you prefer to have breakfast outdoors, then beautiful dirty-green plastic tables of the last century are waiting for you outside, there is no serving.
There are 2 waiters in the restaurant who do not know Russian, English, Spanish or French (this is for 600 guests who rest in the hotel) - as a result, dirty tablecloths throughout the restaurant, dirty dishes are not cleaned. If you did not come at the beginning of breakfast, there is practically nowhere to sit.
Breakfast: 2 types of continental eggs, fried sausage, some dumb croutons, cereal, milk, toast, jams, butter (Rama margarine if anyone remembers this), even fresh oranges BUT! all products look like someone has already eaten it...
Dinner: meat - chicken, pork (the latter is very fatty), which alternated during the week, then baked chicken + stewed pork with cabbage, then vice versa, meatballs of a mysterious type. Of the fish, there were only semi-finished fish products (such frozen fish cakes in a thick layer of breading) and this is at a seaside resort! Near the sea! People, where is the seafood?
Garnish - french fries (similar to chips), ordinary potatoes, pasta with pieces of bacon (a la pasta), strange rice with pieces of veal (as the inscription above it said) with thin threads, dry and terrible for meat, it doesn’t even look like pilaf it doesn't look like it at all.
2 types of some kind of stew - I have not tried it. Vegetables (cucumber, tomato).
Fruits: the watermelon ended at 19:30 and was no longer taken out (this is in the season of melons, autumn when the sea of u200bu200bfruits is at the lowest prices) 1 time there was a variety - 1 apple, 1 grapefruit, 1 orange were cut into a small plate !!!
There was ice cream every evening for the grandparents holiday!
It was possible to eat a chicken, since it was clear from the outside that it was a chicken and not something incomprehensible, and vegetables.
Again, everything looks disgusting, I don’t feel like eating.
For dinner, drinks are paid, even water.
The contingent is elderly foreigners (very elderly). Several families from Russia, a couple from Ukraine, a little bit of youth. Young guys from Serbia, who happened to be there by chance, said "This is the worst hotel in the world" (p. ) and sympathized with us as friends in misfortune.
On the day of departure, I wanted to extend my room (for an additional fee, of course) because we had a late flight, but I was refused, guided by the lack of rooms! Although with me an elderly couple from England left the hotel a week earlier, as the hotel is very noisy. The rude hotel manager said that I could even complain to the UN, but she still had 65 rooms checked out and 80 checked in! and where is she going to settle those who will not get the number??????
The hotel has no territory, a pool and sunbeds, that's all.
Summary: the hotel does not work for quality but for quantity, 4 * was assigned unreasonably, inefficient management apparatus, bad chef, products are translated, rude to guests, there is no desire to go to this hotel a second time (even at gunpoint).
Now for the pleasant: 5 minutes to the beach, 15 minutes to the center, opposite the disco is pretty good.
A separate, huge THANK YOU to fate for the good company and great weather, without this my vacation would have been ruined.

We were going to go once again to Bulgaria, there were no vouchers to the hotel (which we knew for sure), I had to be content with what was offered. We read reviews about Phoenix and were a little upset, but....upon arrival everything turned out to be much more optimistic: they settled in five minutes without any problems, a room with a balcony on the sea (I opened my eyes in bed and I see the sea !! ! The room is pretty decent with everything what is needed, except for a kettle, although in some rooms there was.

The room is pretty decent with everything what is needed, except for a kettle, although in some rooms there was. Breakfasts are standard: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, they are also boiled... fresh vegetables, some two kinds of sausages (I don’t eat them, but my husband ate them on an equal basis with everyone else), pastries are monotonous constantly (cannot be compared with Egypt and Turkey), given that I don’t eat it, there was no suffering, but I tasted it, it’s quite edible. ): raw, baked, stewed, steamed vegetables; meat - chicken is always available, natural beef and all sorts of chopped. Watermelons every day, citrus fruits too, ice cream and pastries.
As for the beach, sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, but since the beach is across the road, we swam in the sea and lay by the pool (sunbeds and umbrellas are free). Well, if you really want the waves to lick your legs, you can stand in the water or a couple of times we lay on towels on the sand. In fact, near the beach, umbrellas and beach mats are sold at the cost of one day of beach chairs. We didn’t use beach chairs out of greed, we just don’t like to lie all day. There, the coast, unlike our native Crimea, which I adore, is free: go as much as you want and wherever you want, we have furrowed it all in one direction and the other.
You go to look at hotels, enjoy the sea breeze... we are not the only ones, many go, USEFUL!
In general, a very cozy atmosphere, some kind of home!
Carriages pulled by a couple of horses (I don’t want to ride), some El-sky cars, bicycles on 3-4 wheels for a companionable walk ride along the streets. Rental of bicycles, scooters, etc. Trams on wheels scurry back and forth... Everything is conducive to relaxation!
Attractions, all kinds of water entertainment! What else does?
Restaurants every 10 meters, shops and supermarkets abound and you don’t have to go far, though we went to the Mladost supermarket, where the cheapest prices are: for example, three bottles of beer for the cost of two in everyone else, and all products.
In general, prices for products in Bulgaria are the same as in Ukraine (not even in the metropolis)!
Entertainment is full! You can visit Nesseber on your own: buses cost only 1 lev with an interval of 10-20 minutes. The island is very cozy (under the protection of UNESCO), you can spend the whole day in pleasure. You can also go there by boat 20lev per person, and an excursion 40lev. but you won’t learn anything special from the guide, it will just tie you in time.
Whoever has not been anywhere yet, you can visit a number of interesting places, it’s cheaper to buy a tour not at a hotel, but at agencies - there are a lot of them (where it’s cheaper, where it’s more expensive, first ask the price, don’t rush to buy right away). probably tired of reading, maybe already before that places and did not finish reading : ).
The hotel is clean, they clean it every day, though in this hotel it’s probably strained with detergents : ), once they put everything, I tried to clean everything in the hope that they would update it, but they didn’t spare toilet paper!
If it is useful to someone, I will be glad, before I go I “rummage around” according to the reviews. In a word, the holiday was a success and if you still have to go to this hotel, I will not have anything against it!

Pros: location close to the sea, lived in rooms overlooking the pool and the street (I liked it more with pool views), spacious rooms, shower, large balcony (no clothes dryer), excellent staff (guests came to me in anytime, no problem). If it wasn't for the price, I'd definitely go back next time and a third time. Would like to try other hotels. . . it's good that they were the same as the Phoenix. Reading bad reviews on food in hotels in Bulgaria, we can say that it is the same everywhere there and you should not judge the hotel by this. As a rule, a 4 * hotel is infrastructure and rooms, and food in 3 * and 4 * is the same. The hotel is super, all my friends loved it. The maid didn't bother. . . If I saw that you were still in the room, I immediately left. . . for this I received a tip, things and money from the room did not disappear, I saved on a safe, leaving a tip is cheaper and more reliable (you can’t hide everything in a safe). The transfer back was late (Magelan club), they drove to the airport and left. We were looking for a long time in which queue we should be, no scoreboard, everyone is absolutely indifferent. First, we stood in one line to check in luggage (the norm is 15 kg), then we looked for where passport and customs control was. Tourists stand in line for different flights. . . lipstick, mascara, perfume and all liquids up to 100 ml are forced to be packed in bags for 1 euro, if there is no money for packaging, you will have to throw it away (thank you very much to my fellow traveler, who had to pack 1 lipstick and she took the bag in which I put the entire cosmetic bag and perfume for 100 euros). So, carefully collect your hand luggage, by the way, they don’t weigh it, but they carefully check it (I saved the package for 1 euro for the next time) If you are forced to take off your shoes with heels. . . The airport was amazing. . . unlike Minsk-2 (everything is clear and loyal). Bulgaria is a wonderful country and your mood depends only on you and your company. If you are looking for a cheap hotel, then why expect something super from it, so bad reviews are written by those who pay for 2*, but want to live in 5*. Book a hotel according to your needs, not the price and get a good rest. Hello and thank you Belfresh. . . I go with you for the second time and I hope for a further positive holiday with your company
