Just 500 meters from Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna's largest shopping street, the Ibis Wien Mariahilf Tourist Class hotel is located next to the Western Train Station. The hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (red line) stops right next to the hotel. The hotel has 13 floors, built in 1985, renovated in 2010, part of the ibis hotel chain.More →

The wi-fi signal did not catch at all from time to time, so I had to go out to the hotel lobby.

We combined skiing and Vienna in one trip, so the hotel in Vienna was chosen taking into account its proximity to the railway station, in addition, everyone praised the presence of Mariahilfer Strasse nearby. There are no complaints about the hotel itself - the usual city 3 * (both rooms and meals). And if your task is shopping, then this is probably a great place to settle, but if you want to take a walk around old Vienna, then it’s better to stay closer to the center, there are the same 3 * for the same money, while it’s much quieter and more comfortable, and the cost of a taxi from the center to the station is 10 euros. … More ▾ We combined skiing and Vienna in one trip, so the hotel in Vienna was chosen taking into account its proximity to the railway station, in addition, everyone praised the presence of Mariahilfer Strasse nearby. Incl. I won't be staying there in the future.

We booked the Ibis Wien Mariahilf hotel independently on the hotel website several months in advance, because we knew in advance exactly when we were going to Vienna. On the official website www. ibis hotel. com is special. "Happy 30" offer. We booked a double standard room at the price of 49 euros/night. For a hotel of this category and in such a location, this is simply an incredible price.
- staff: very friendly, speaks English, always ready to solve any problem to the maximum in the interests of the client
- room: clean, comfortable, spacious enough (in my opinion). There are rooms with two separate beds, there are double rooms. There are rooms for smokers and non-smokers. There are several dozen channels on TV in various languages, including ORT and 3 Austrian radio stations. There is carpet on the floor in the room. The bathroom has a shower.
There are special large "3 in 1" bottles near the sink and in the shower cabin (liquid soap, shower gel, hair shampoo). There is no hair dryer - and this is the only negative. A huge plus, especially for women, is the presence of three large mirrors. Two - full-length and one in the bathroom above the sink to the floor of the wall. Towels were changed three times in 5 days, bed linen was changed once, but the bed was made and made up - every day. Room cleaning every day too
- Meals: breakfast buffet - tea. coffee. orange and apple juices in unlimited quantities, milk, cocoa; fruits; various buns; several types of sausages; light snacks; muesli; yogurts; from hot - sausages and scrambled eggs. Was very satisfied. They ate so much that then they ran around the city all day without lunch
- location: 5 minutes to the Westbanhof station, where the metro station of the same name is located, 5 stations from the center of Stephansplatz, because the hauls are very short, then 5-7 minutes in time.
Just 5 minutes to one of the main shopping streets of Vienna - Mariahilferstrasse. You can walk along it to the center, but we didn’t succeed very well, we got stuck more and more along the way : )

In general, summing up, the impressions about the hotel, however, as well as from Vienna, are the most enthusiastic 

Stayed at this hotel at the end of February 2007. Very good hotel. Pros: 1) Conveniently located: close to the metro station (central line), tram stop near the hotel. Minus:
1) Weak air conditioner. And this is very important (see 2))
2) Unable to open window. The noise is terrible. Feeling like at the airport. The road passes under the windows.
Summary: The hotel is good (because of its convenient location) for a tourist / sightseeing trip to Vienna at a price of about 80 euros / day for 2.
