If you came to Tunisia for the first time, but before that you managed to visit the same Turkey, then of course the hotels in Tunisia will seem like complete crap to you. But the fact of the matter is that comparing Tunisia with other countries is completely unacceptable. Tunisia is different! And it needs to be measured differently.

First impression of the hotel: where I got to, let me unsee it! But already on the third day, you begin to evaluate your stay here with completely different standards and concepts. Don't expect fancy rooms, don't even expect more or less decent rooms and comfort. This hotel is not good at all. Yes, both the rooms and the hotel itself have long been in need of a good renovation, a change of furniture and plumbing, and this, of course, is a minus.
But the charm of rest here is completely different! Firstly, it's awesome nature, beach and sea. Secondly, the excellent coordinated work of the hotel staff. This is an absolutely wonderful, sincere attitude to each guest. With a smile and good wishes. The room was cleaned daily, including a daily change of towels. In the hotel itself, cleaning was carried out constantly, garbage was collected and removed. Although, in Tunisia itself, garbage is a huge problem.
The food is no worse than in the middle four of Turkey. Although the assortment is much smaller, you definitely will not stay hungry. Amazingly delicious natural coffee, fresh buns and croissants for breakfast. And absolutely amazing French baguettes instead of bread. Lots of fish, deliciously cooked meat, nut halva, delicious creams and puddings, and many more worthy delicious dishes of national and European cuisine.
Animators deserve special attention. The guys are working hard. They will lead and entertain even the dead! All day long they are constantly entertaining, luring, putting on a show or just chatting with hotel guests.
Another plus is the close location to the city, you can walk, there is something to see in the Medina (Magdia) itself.
More of the cons:
- lack of hair dryers in the rooms;
- a single air conditioning system, and it is quite old and weak, so it will not save you from extreme heat;
- flies and mosquitoes;
- wi-fi is very weak and only in the lobby;
- hard mattresses and old bed linen;
- plumbing is all dead, toilets can leak.
Although each room has a pack of soap and two jars of shampoo (this is a plus)

Modest small hotel. Advantages: delicious food, clean beach and bar). Of the disadvantages of old worn rooms, it would be necessary to renovate. We cleaned once every 2-3 days, which is also a minus, the towels were changed after contacting the reception. For budget holidays norms. We recommend taking seven at the airport, because the Internet is tight here.

For its 3 * a good hotel. They have no problems with early check-in, but check-out is strictly at 12.00. It is advisable to take shampoos, gels, soap with you. Since upon check-in, they give out a beaker of shampoo and one small soap for the entire check-in. You also need to bring beach towels. The food is excellent.

From the hotel it is good to walk to the old town along the promenade. On the way to the city you may meet locals such as the chef from your hotel. Tell me where the cheapest shops are in the city. Conduct a tour of your points, calling in advance and warning your tourists about the arrival, so that they raise prices. Just ignore them. We took a kettle and a small saucepan with us. You can make coffee in the morning. The difference in time since the morning affects. And the fish market has excellent, fresh shrimp. You can't resist. From this hotel it is convenient to get to local minibuses. From where on your own you can cheaply go to El Jem, or by train to Monastir for an excursion.

Despite the fact that this is only a 3 star hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is always clean, delicious food, animators from morning to evening entertain both adults and children. Clean private beach with white sand, friendly staff. The only thing that is not convenient is that there are few shops outside the hotel, and it is not possible to find fruit.

In general, I advise you to go to Tunisia at a time when they have a RAMADAN holiday. There is not a single Arab on the street, it is quiet and calm.

I rested with my wife in September. The accommodation went with a surcharge for a sea view, but a week later we moved to another room due to the noise of the disco, the music was blaring by the pool until one in the morning. in the lobby, in the rooms does not take. Refrigerator for an additional fee. The beach is dirty, they didn’t clean it at all.
