I am very sorry that after reading the laudatory reviews, I left my long-awaited vacation at the Royal Albatros Moderna hotel. At what the hotel was chosen mainly for the child.
The star rating of the hotel is 5 * well, that's too much!!! ! In Egypt for the 4th time, three times in Sharm and once in Hurghada, that is, there is an experience of visiting Egypt!
I'll start in order:
We flew with Egyptian airlines, took off and landed (clever pilot), fed on the plane. Everything is wonderful.
We had the best guide in the entire practice of our travels, his name is HANI (representative of Biblio-Globus and SUNMAR), he did not load us with unnecessary information, everything was short and to the point.
They settled in a renovated room (next to the water park), the balcony overlooked the neighboring hotel, in which music played all night, but fortunately it was not heard, the soundproofing from the exit to the balcony is excellent, which cannot be said about the front door.
A cardboard door (I would call it a screen), at the bottom of which there was a gap, let in every bunch of people passing by. Our room on the 2nd floor was a corner on the landing, which means that vacationers from the 3rd floor and our entire second floor passed by us. I saw off all the vacationers, and listened to their conversations, laughter, the cries of children. When the birds began to sing at dawn, it seemed that they were in our room.
And so after the arrival, it was decided to wash and hurry to the sea. But there were no towels in the room. I ran to the reception, brought in 10 minutes. ( Towels!!!! ! This is the first hotel where there were towels that you can’t wrap yourself in, the size was small and the quality was not ice! By the way, everything is in order with beach towels, why do they save so much on hotel ones??? ? ) As soon as the turn came Before washing my hair, there was no shampoo in the room. My husband washed his head with gel, I ran to the reception again.
There are many children's pools on the territory (again, which influenced my choice of hotel), BUT ARE THEY SAFE? I began to think after the child's temperature rose to 40 on the third day. Vomiting, loose stools! Every three hours I brought down the temperature, and I had to turn on the general light in the room, because there were no sconces, night lamps or table lamps in the room, this was a great inconvenience, because I woke up both the child and the husband with the light.
This went on for three days, the child lay like a rag! When I realized that there were no positive changes in the child's condition, antipyretic and antimicrobial did not help. On the fourth day, I contacted the insurance company. The child was dripped and released home. But after a day, new symptoms were added to the previous state. I contacted the insurance company again. Again we were taken away, they dripped us with a large volume and took the biomaterial for the test.

Now about cleaning the room. As I already wrote, shampoos were brought after repeated reminders, and after five days three tubes were over, but they were never reported. I had to look for a cleaner to beg for shampoo and toilet paper, which was also coming to an end (because the bidet in the toilet did not work, as well as the backlight of the mirror)!
But most of all, the quality of cleaning killed the change of bed linen!
I don’t change bedding every 10 days at home and I don’t need it at all on vacation, but after the child had vomiting and loose stools, there were some embarrassments when my daughter simply didn’t run to the toilet and something fell on the bed, I myself removed and washed global stains, hung out the bed on the balcony - it's good that everything dried quickly! For three days she asked the cleaner not to clean, because the child was not transportable. But when we were in the clinic for the next three days, I hoped that the cleaner would change my daughter's bed linen. Because there were still stains that I did not cover with washing (I attach the photo). But the bed was regularly refueled daily by the cleaner and the stains on the bed remained!
Now about food!
The phrase: "You will not stay hungry, but there is nothing to catch your eyes on" - this is a characteristic for this hotel.
The choice is poor and monotonous!
The waiters in the restaurants are smart guys, everyone is friendly, there are no complaints, the only thing I understand is where the laudatory odes to this hotel come from! Three times in our 10 days, different waiters (in different restaurants) approached me with the question:
- Is it okay?
Well, why should he tell that there in your room you have a husband with a child with a temperature of 40 ...?

And yes, the hotel internet is terrible, and if you still want to visit this place, buy a local SIM card.
Animation in the hotel is, it is weak, but the guys are trying. Standard kids disco. They painted the faces of the children. There was a foam party. I saw water aerobics in the pool. The show was visited three times - interesting, got to the belly dance, fire show and three more girls danced (very incendiary)!
The bartender at the bar near the adult pool from the side of the water park (a tall, thin guy) added negativity to my impressions: I asked for white wine, he poured warm wine, at an air temperature of +36. Perhaps it was a pity for the ice. I drank and realized that it was impossible to drink this warm drink, returned and asked for ice.
When leaving, the room was extended until 15:00, the transfer picked up at 17:00, but at exactly 12:00 they came to evict the room, I had to deal with the reception, show a receipt for the extension! It's good that at that time I was in the room and packed my bags.

We had a check-in in the evening, after 21:00 we arrived on an evening flight, we were traditionally sent for dinner and were told to come after the room cards. To be sure of choosing a good and comfortable room (it does not mean upgrading a standard room to a villa), I was offered a tip in the amount of the daily cost of a standard room, but they refused to take it.
We were settled in room 817, it was both an unpleasant surprise and disappointment at the same time. We arrived alone with my mother, we were settled in a room with 5 beds, a disgusting sewer smell and windows to the driveway. We called the reception and asked to be moved, as the room was uncomfortable for us - it would be better if we did not do this.
We were already moved to room 1436 on the 3rd floor, though already with a view of the pool, and this is where all the global disappointment began in relation to the regular guests of the hotel.
The first night on the roof, some apparatus turned on and off, and it was so noisy that we slept for 15-20 minutes, then woke up and so on all night. The room itself has a leaky front door, which, together with the sliding doors of the balcony, were shaking from the draft and creating a constant noise and whistle. Everything worsened when for several days in a row there was a wind of 38 km / h (since it was February and the Nabq region, this was expected) and our nights passed with our heads under the covers in the hope of not catching a cold either head or ears. Since there were gaps in the balcony doors themselves between the walls and the doors themselves, paper napkins came to the rescue and we stuffed them together so that at least it was so noisy and the draft was not like that.
It worsened even more when 19.02.
2022 Sharm was covered by a thunderstorm and our room was also flooded in the room and the toilet.
A definite plus - the man who cleaned our room eliminated everything quickly and well.
To the logical question why they didn’t move again - we were told that the hotel had a full settlement, but when the guest relation service offered to move again, we were afraid that the new room might be even worse.
Meeting with the guide. I have nothing against TUI, but I would like the guide John to be more open to people who do not buy excursions. We rest in Egypt several times a year, over the past 5 years we have been 15 times - we have already traveled all over the excursions, including Israel, Jordan.
When we asked for help with a room, and there were several families, and the noise of the device was also the reason for this, we were answered “Deal with the hotel, and then maybe I’ll connect”, this was exactly 15 minutes after the performance with tour packages and chanting “I here to help you have a good rest and is ready to be your intermediary in resolving any issues with the hotel” - in fact, in practice, we saw all the readiness to help.
Meals and drinks. For this, many thanks to the hotel, there are no complaints at all about food and drinks. The food (yes, maybe not as varied as it was before covid), but fresh and tasty - everyone will find something to their liking. Restaurant and bar staff are always friendly and courteous.
Water. Water is handed out in bottles at the bars and brought to the room. We were in Cleopatra Luxury in the spring of last year, where they gave out water in a very dosed way, and brought 1 liter bottle per person for a day to the room. In this regard, Albatross is an order of magnitude higher.
Territory.
The territory is large, well-groomed, green and it is clear that it is being watched and cared for. This is a huge plus.
Spa and room. We haven’t been to the SPA, but we were in the gym every day - it’s great that you can not miss training on vacation.
The operation of the guest relation. The girls are beautiful and sincerely willing to help and, according to their strength, with the replacement of the room, and with the call of the engineer (the safe was blocked), they sent fruit to the room and dressing gowns with slippers.
And also a huge plus - a fish restaurant. Delicious and fresh seafood, pasta and soups are always on top.
Perhaps for someone this is an argument to go or not. Previously, the hotel positioned itself as more European due to conflicts between guests of different nationalities, and Arab families were very rare guests, now - as it seemed to us, they are at least 50 percent. Of course, there were French, Italians, Russians, Kazakhs, Poles, but not in such numbers.
For us, this moment is not a question, as long as you can peacefully coexist while relaxing in the same hotel, but perhaps for someone this is unacceptable.
Short conclusion. The hotel has its pros and cons, you never know who and how lucky. For ourselves, we decided that this trip to this hotel, as well as to Egypt, was the last.
We arrived at 2-3 pm local time, from the airport to the hotel for about 15 minutes.

The sea is warm and clear, there are a lot of fish, which is very pleasing. I recommend buying special shoes. The store is not on the territory of about $ 5, but you can bargain.
Time passed, the guide called me and let me know that the rooms were replaced. In fact, the new numbers are much better. Maybe they do it on purpose?
As we were told, there are 5 restaurants on the territory of the hotel, but don’t flatter yourself too much) it’s hard to call it a restaurant, most likely a self-service dining room.
There are few fruits, apples, melon (green), bananas, oranges. From seafood, some fish and small shrimp. Chefs add a lot of spices, which changes the taste of the dish dramatically.
In general, for breakfast, lunch and dinner you go with a plate and choose what to eat, there is a lot of food, but there is not much to eat.
You won’t be able to sit outside, enjoy the sun) the flies will torment you.

1. Returned from vacation with Covid Delta. The youngest child on the 5th day of rest had a temperature up to 40 and had problems with the stomach. I already had the first symptoms upon arrival home - I took a test and the disease was confirmed. Now everyone is on sick leave.
2. Another issue with the settlement. We arrived at 6:00 in the morning, settled at 14:30 in room 1822 (if I'm not mistaken). The room is terrible, to have something to compare it with, it's like in the reserved seat the upper side near the toilet. The room is not renovated, without towels, with old furniture and in the farthest building. We went to sort it out, with a scandal they moved us to room 1403. It turned out to be exactly the same, only closer to the sea. After another scandal and a bunch of threats, they agreed to change the number, but the next day. My question is, why start a holiday with a negative and spoil people's vacation? Take the rooms without repair to another category and sell at a discount, and do not send people to all circles of hell with the thought "suddenly give a ride" and someone will stop there !!!

1. Hotel.
We really liked the hotel: huge, beautiful grounds, many pools. The food is very varied and delicious. Every day there was meat (beef, turkey, chicken), fish, seafood (in a fish restaurant), fruits, a lot of pastries and sweets, it’s a long time to list everything, I think everyone will find something tasty for themselves.
2. Sea.
During the rest, only three days (after lunch) a green flag hung, the rest of the time they were not allowed to swim. But during this time we managed to swim and look at the beautiful reef and fish. Children didn’t want to go to the sea at all, they didn’t climb out of the pools, so this is not a problem for us.
3. Excursions.
We took two excursions through the tour operator Anex-tour. The first is a city tour, we thought to see some sights and get to the market for fruits and sweets. As a result, they showed us one monument and one mosque. Then they began to carry to their stores where everything is three times more expensive than on the market. At the end, they were brought to a fish restaurant, I’ll say it’s tastier to eat at the hotel). The second excursion on the yacht from 8:30 to 17:00. I warn you right away, if someone is motion sick, it’s better not to take it))) I was motion sick all day and I saw almost nothing. Only when we stopped, it became a little easier and I went scuba diving.
Summing up, I will say that we liked the rest!! ! The hotel is good, the staff (except the administration) is very responsive, I would definitely advise my friends!! !

Last time was in May, this time in August. Let me tell you, I thought it was even a little more comfortable this time. Sinai met us +38. The hotel is located at the very end of the coastal zone with hotels, in the Nabq Bay area. Therefore, the meeting operator dropped us off last.
At the reception I immediately saw Julia (on the badge), introduced himself and repeated his wishes about settling by the large pool and on the first floor (we are 3 + 1 (4), with a pram). The sea is exactly what people come to Sharm El Sheikh for. There are corals and fish, the only negative is a long pontoon (800 steps back and forth)

The staff is friendly, except for the evening shift at the reception. When checking in, they always stay in the worst rooms and say that there are no other rooms because the hotel is full. Accommodation in rooms near the water park or rooms in front of the reception (rooms from 800 or from 1800). Always get a normal number, wait until the last. And it should be in the middle between the beach and restaurants, because there is a huge area and on average I walked 16.000 steps a day.
At the bars of the standard Egyptian alco shmurdyak and Yuppie)). Want JUICE - ask for guava, mango or tomato ...This is the only thing that is poured from packs or glass. Drinks are Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up, Schweppes. And from coffee around professional machines on the beach and in the lobby and restaurants. The hotel is large with an interesting location, has 5 restaurants to eat and they are all close to each other, it is very convenient. The hotel comfortably accommodates a large number of guests and at the same time on the territory freely and conveniently. There are many pools, but the water quality in them wants to be better. Apparently the water purification system is as old as the pools themselves (with artificial turf, not tile).
I want to pay special attention to the staff: the hotel staff is very friendly and does a good job! I liked the bartenders the most in the bar called "Olombo", which is located by the pool where music is played all day and there is active entertainment for guests (aerobics, dancing, sports training, etc. ). Bartender Sergey and his assistants are well able to provide service to their visitors!
